In the Audubon room, you'll find French doors that lead into the Quadrant Gardens. This outdoor space, which surrounds the allée, offers a uniquely walled open-air space. Shrubs and bushes provide privacy and exclusivity for weddings held here, which can have up to 250 attendees. Tents can also be set up for additional shade. Parking is available on-site for further convenience.

Beautiful venue and wonderful staff
The location is absolutely beautiful. All of our guests couldn’t praise it enough. The staff is very friendly, and it’s very easy to set everything up. We were able to get things s...
tarted the night before as there were no evening events that day, and got there as soon as they opened on the wedding day to get ready and set up. All in all it was a great experience!
The location is absolutely beautiful and offers a lot of options for variety in setting. You are not required to use any specific vendors, which is great because you can price shop...
. You can do a lot however you'd like it, which can be nice. However, the ability to do it yourself is also a drawback because it means that ANYTHING, besides like cleaning the bathrooms at the end of the night, has to be done by or arranged by you. You have to set up the tables and chairs or move theirs out of the way to put your own up, you have to make sure the kitchen is cleaned, the floor is vacuumed, etc. Of course you can hire people to do pretty much anything, but that certainly adds up! Also, we didn't think about some things (like that we would need to bring a vacuum) until days right before so that got to feeling chaotic wondering if we were forgetting anything else. Luckily friends of the family stayed late with our parents and the clean up didn't take too long, but they were still there til midnight.
Also, you can set up stuff outside at day break, but you cannot set up inside until they are closed for the day, which is 4 or 4:30. On a Saturday this resulted in paying extra for the rental company to make a separate trip once we could set up inside, and it didn't leave a ton of time to make sure things were ready inside prior to a 7pm ceremony.
One last thing - if there is an event the day after yours, you will have to have everthing (including rental chairs, tents, etc.) out at the end of your night. We were told it would be no problem to leave our rental items til Monday following a Saturday wedding, but then once the day got closer, we were told there was a Sunday event so we needed to have everything gone Saturday night. This resulted in having the rental company come out for a THIRD time in one day (morning drop off for outside stuff, afternoon drop off for inside stuff, evening pick up of everything). And rental companies generally charge extra to deliver/pick up after noon on Saturdays...something to keep in mind.
All of that being said, it is an absolutely beautiful location and doesn't require a lot of decoration because of this. The outside space is good sized and the inside auditorium holds around 135 people. The staff was helpful and the price is pretty good, but just think through the entire event and the work required by you (or your hired help!) before deciding.
I was pleased with the options this venue allowed with indoor and outdoor space. The space allowed for beautiful pictures and our guests loved it. If you have not been there, I su...
ggest you look at the space. The venue was fairly easy to work with, reasonably priced and was prompt with mailing back my deposit after the event.
Went back in time. Beautiful landscaping, great scenery! Could have not asked for a better place.
My (now) husband and I had our engagement photos taken here by the amazing Fusion Photography in Louisville. It was amazing!! The backdrop was perfect. There was no place there tha...
t didn't turn out beautiful. We did not get to go inside the building but the landscaping was breathtaking. It even makes a great to place to have a wedding because as we were taking our pictures there was a wedding taking place!! I would high recommend using this setting in any way that you can. It will turn out wonderful. It sure did for us! I might mention too that it did not cost us a CENT to have pictures taken there.
beautiful there!
Locust Grove is a gorgeous National Historic site that has beautiful gardens. We were married on the back porch of the home had cocktails in the gardens and dinner and dancing un...
der a tent on the back lawn. Everything was gorgeously landscaped and green. For a small fee docents were on hand to guide people through the house during the cocktail hour. We really enjoyed the setting.;The contact person for the location is less than receptive she basically takes your check and writes your name in a book. Don't expect to get any actually assistance in planning the event. This was fine for me because I knew what vendors I wanted etc. But for people who are looking for a site with a true event planner will want to look elsewhere.
