Loft on Lake hosted our 120-person wedding on November 18th and we can't thank them enough for sharing their beautiful space with us! Jill was beyond helpful and assisted with coordinating vendors making sure we would have everything set up correctly and with enough time to take pictures at the venue with family. Our original venue went bankrupt earlier in the year and Jill eased our nerves of starting our planning from scratch the second we met her. We couldn't have asked for a better place to become husband and wife. Anyone getting married or having an event would be so lucky to have it at Loft on Lake!

Choosing Loft on Lake for our wedding venue was the best decision we made! The space is beautiful and fit our guest count of 120 perfectly, and we greatly appreciated the flexibility in choosing vendors. We are so grateful for Jill Garrett, the amazing venue manager who also served as our day-of coordinator! She was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process and made our wedding day completely stress-free for us and our families. She also helped connect us with LOL’s in-house photography company, Lofty Weddings, which was also excellent to work with. Our photographers Ramona and Aldo were fun and efficient and made us feel totally comfortable. Overall, working with LOL was a great experience. We can’t say enough good things about their team and highly recommend them to others!

I cannot recommend Loft on Lake highly enough. The space is just beautiful! We knew we wanted to have our wedding there as soon as we walked into the event space. The decorations are simple and lovely and recreate a wonderful warm and inviting environment. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the space was. We didn't use any additional decorations as the exposed brick and curtained walls provided all the ambiance needed. Jill was also so wonderful to work with. She was responsive to all forms of communication and quick to answer any questions. Other vendors also commented on how much they enjoy working with her. Such a great experience and also at a great price! Thanks for everything!

Loft on Lake was the perfect choice for our wedding. The space was beautiful, and the perfect blank slate to make our own, although we didn’t need to do much because it really is beautiful on its own. Jill was knowledgable, punctual, and just one of the kindest human beings we’ve ever met. We ended up hiring her as our day of coordinator, and had the best wedding day all thanks to her. She was on top of things so we didn’t have to be. Everything went smoothly and close to planned. We are so thankful to Jill & Loft on Lake for helping make our special day a success.

Loft on Lake was the dream wedding venue. We got SO MANY compliments from all of our guests about how beautiful it was. The brick walls, the built in lights, the SKYLIGHT it was all breathtaking. We knew we wanted a space that didn’t require additional decorating and Loft on Lake fit the bill. We loved that they had decor like candles, the fireplace mantle, etc. On hand so we didn’t need to buy more and could keep the wedding “green.” Above all else, HIGHER JILL as your day of coordinator. She was so easy to work with, was super responsive and as two very type A brides did an amazing job taking the reigns and letting us relax.

We had the pleasure of getting married at Loft on Lake on New Year's Eve 2021! Our experience was INCREDIBLY positive and I cannot say enough how awesome it was to work with Jill and the Loft on Lake team. They were incredibly communicative and supportive, they worked in all of our requests, and when we walked into the venue day of, it was everything we imagined and more. The space is wonderful and fits up to 150 people - we ended up with closer to 85-90 and it was a dream. Jill was our day of coordinator - use her, you won't regret it. She handled everything we needed and I did not notice ANY bumps along the way. I wish we could relive this day over and over because it was so perfect! Highly recommend Loft on Lake to anyone looking to create wonderful memories :)

We loved Loft on Lake as our wedding venue! We worked with Jill as our Day of Coordinator. She was so great to work with. She was organized, professional, great with communication, and friendly. Everything looked so beautiful when we arrived at our reception. Everyone had such a fun time. We also rented the photo booth and it was a huge hit.

We hosted our wedding at Loft on Lake in August 2021 and it was the best! We had 120 people and thought it was the perfect size - it felt intimate but not too small. We were worried about the cocktail hour space being too small but it ended up working out just fine. The venue is the perfect blank slate to decorate how you want without needing to do much. Its laid out perfectly for caterers and vendors to get in and set up and really nice to have bathrooms in the front and back of the space. The location is also ideal being close to all of the action in West Loop but far enough away to still get parking. Plus I think all of our guests hit the McDonalds afterwards ;) The BEST part of the venue was working with Jill. She has such a calming personality and just gets it. She went the extra mile in every single way and added so many little thoughts and details - she even signed our guest book and took some photos of our dance floor <3 We just loved her and couldn't recommend working with her or Loft on Lake more!

We had our rehearsal dinner (with about 25 people, for a buffet style dinner), followed by our welcome reception (with about 75 people for drinks/a few apps) on a Friday evening at Loft on Lake. We considered the space for our wedding but it was a bit too small for our expected number -- we loved it so much, we decided to use it a different way. Jill made the whole process extremely easy -- she was super responsive, easy about arranging payments and tours, and just generally really informative. Our BYO alcohol provider left a couple boxes when they picked up that night, and Jill was extremely accommodating about getting it locked in an office and holding it until we could pick it up a couple days later. The space, with its lovely included lighting effects up the walls, easy hook up to connect your playlist to the included sound system, and general warm feel meant we needed just some candles/vases for dinner tables and a few photographs for the entrance to make the space feel really personal and beautiful. We would highly recommend hosting an event here, especially with Jill as your guide.

I cannot say enough great things about Loft on Lake! The venue itself is such a beautiful space for starters. It's conveniently located in a great neighborhood in the city, less than 5m from hotels in West Loop for your guests' ease. The skylight ceiling allows natural light to pour in during your ceremony and then later on, their in-house lighting gives the perfect ambiance once the reception gets underway. Their bridal suite tucked away in the corner is so nice to have on site throughout the day and their kitchen is every catering team's dream, which in turn makes food and bev service a breeze, which is important for your guests' experience at your wedding. Most importantly, it's a private/family owned venue, and you can immediately tell that they take amazing care of the space and each and every client. Jill is so welcoming, professional and on top of everything during the planning process; such a pleasure to work with! Again, cannot say enough fantastic things about LOL. It's truly a perfect venue if you're looking for a cool, intimate, urban space in the city!

I cannot say enough how amazing this venue and the team is! Loft on Lake exceeded mine and my groom's wedding dreams. This venue is a perfect intimate spot to host your special day! Also, working with Jill Garrett was the best decision! Not only was she helpful throughout the entire planning process, staying on top of Covid restrictions and keeping us informed. She was an all-star coordinator the day of our wedding. I did not have to worry about one thing on our special day. If you are looking for an intimate, lofty vibe for your wedding and an amazing team to work with, Loft on Lake is your wedding venue!

I have nothing but praise for Loft on Lake!! Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 25, 2020...and of course was postponed...TWICE! Loft on Lake was so accommodating with all of our changes and we were able to host our wedding on May 1, 2021. Jill is an absolute GEM, great communication, and so helpful. They are a family-owned company, and will treat you like family. We loved the location in West Loop, it was easy for our guests to get to and the parking garage very close and cheap (for all day parking in the city)! Also, in case you are worried about outside space, we were able to pop up a tent and set up some lounge furniture in their back parking space for a cigar lounge. The space is so adaptable and gorgeous, even with minimal decor. If you are looking for a stress-free, beautiful, location for your wedding/event go with Loft on Lake!

This venue is not only beautiful and intimate, but Jill (Venue Manager) was incredible to work with. COVID-19 brought enough stress to wedding planning - nothing was stressful working with Jill and Loft on Lake. We loved the rustic vibe of the loft yet it was so easy to enhance the elegance of the space. Everything was perfect and more beautiful than we could have imagined. Thank you for making our wedding day special and memorable!!

When we initially started planning our wedding, we only had a vague notion of the vibe we wanted — “industrial cozy chic.” Seemed a bit unreachable but when we walked into Loft on Lake, we knew we had found it. The space is gorgeous, with exposed brick walls and a huge skylight in the middle. The main room is separate from a smaller lounge area up in front, but traffic flows easily between the two. Because of the ‘rona, we had to cut our guest list down to 50, but the room never felt too big or spread out; it was the Goldilocks “just right” we’d hoped for! They were also really great about sharing their precautions and ensuring there was plenty of hand-sanitizer and mask usage enforced. The venue is BYOB, which ended up working out great for us in saving a bit of money. They have a preferred list of caterers but there is something for everyone’s taste and budget. They also recommend a few parking options, which in West Loop can be really hit or miss but our guests had no complaints. In addition to the skylight, the room has a bunch of overheads and uplighting to set whatever mood you’re going for. It’s a really versatile space that can be made up however you imagine. Also because of the pandemic, we had to reschedule from a Saturday in June to a Friday in September — while not our original plan, Jill was there to help and guide us through every step. While the space itself is the perfect spot for anyone seeking a city vibe (without the “city vibe” price of a downtown hotel ballroom), Jill is definitely the crowning jewel of LOL. She was always ready to answer our questions, calm us down, pump us up - whatever we needed, she had it in the bag. She coordinated with all of our vendors seamlessly; it was such a relief to not have to deal with all of that on our wedding day. She helped us set up some decorations and social-distance appropriate entertainment options, and then packed them all up for us to come get later. If you’re deciding between LOL and another venue, pick LOL just to get to work with Jill - we promise it will make your life 100% easier.

Such an incredible space! Jill was super helpful in organizing and giving ideas on how to best utilize the space and bring in your own personal touches. It was super easy to get a hold of someone and make arrangements to see the space and get ideas. We were able to come in the day before and set up and they took over on the big day so we had nothing to worry about. They also were amazing and on top of the vendors coming in to set up. Go here, you will love it!!

Jill and the Loft on Lake venue were both amazing! Jill was very responsive, laid-back, and great to work with. We hired her as our Day-of-Coordinator as well, and everything was on time and ran smoothly. She even picked up some disposable cameras and started snapping pictures at the end of the night. As for the venue, the space is perfect for 111 people ceremony and reception. We could’ve had one or two more tables, but any more and the space would’ve felt tight. The skylight is stunning, and the loft space is very “Chicago” style. It was easy to make beautiful with a few simple decorations, flowers, and neutral table linens. Once the dancing started, there were cool uplights that came with the venue to turn it into party mode. A small feature that got our DJ excited was a connected speaker between the main loft and the cocktail area. The one drawback of the space is that you need to bring in all vendors from the outside - it’s a bit more work on the front end. However, the effect was to have a wedding that truly reflected us as a couple and felt even more intimate for our guests. Thanks Jill and the Loft on Lake team!

My husband and I were so in love with this venue. Absolutely beautiful and very helpful. If you are having your ceremony onsite it is a little more tricky because they could have something scheduled the day before but the onsite coordinator is very accommodating and will work with you. This was the exact venue we were looking for...urban and beautiful.

Loft on Lake was a perfect venue for our wedding. We had 130 guests, with the ceremony and reception onsite. The skylight and exposed brick provided such a cool, modern backdrop to our day. Jill was our contact and she was amazing. She was always quick to respond to any emails and help in any way she could. She even let us drop off several things for the reception on Friday night, which made our wedding day much less stressful. Great venue!

I am so excited to write this review because I have nothing but the highest praises for Cher, Steve, and Jessie at Loft on Lake. This family is truly incredible. When my husband and I set out to pick our venue I was nervous and stressed (this literally was the most overwhelming part of wedding planning to me). When we walked into Loft on Lake Cher greeted us and made us feel right at home, and that is what you get when you work with Loft on Lake. A family run business that makes sure to have everything you need right when you need it! She was able to answer every single question I fired off at her, she was able to talk to us about how other people had set up their weddings, and the entire time she did it with a smile. While working with a family owned and operated business was the selling point for us, Loft on Lake is also a stunning venue. They have a gorgeous sky light, beautiful wooden beams over head with adorable fairy lights strung between them, and exposed brick. This venue is a blank canvas that you can beautify any way you see fit! One of the coolest parts of working with Loft on Lake was getting to hear all the magnificent things the vendors we partnered with said about Cher, Steve, and Jessie. They all said how much they enjoyed partnering with them and how professional they are, and after a year of planning and working with them we too say the same. Loft on Lake we can’t thank you enough for the beautiful space, awesome atmosphere, fun photobooth, and care you put towards our Wedding day!

Loft on Lake provided the perfect location for our wedding ceremony and reception. We loved the exposed brick, wood beams and skylight which helped to create the perfect candlelit ambience we wanted. The venue is very flexible to really feel like you can make the space what you want. We hosted the ceremony and reception in the main space and a cocktail hour in the front lobby space which worked really well. The team is friendly and easy to work with. We enjoyed having our event at Loft on Lake and highly recommend it!

Loft on Lake was the perfect venue for our wedding this past November! From the second we walked in the doors for our first visit, I knew it was where we were going to get married. We had a smaller wedding, about 85 people, and it was a perfect size for our ceremony and reception. The exposed brick, tall ceilings, wooden beams, and skylight are even more beautiful in person. Jessie and Cher worked with us every step of the way and were so quick to answer all of our (many) questions throughout our wedding planning. We had so many guests comment on how beautiful and intimate the space was - if you are looking for the perfect loft space in Chicago, this is it!!

We had our wedding at Loft on Lake in September and could not be happier with the results! The venue was beautiful and had the warm, cozy feel we were looking for and we received many compliments from our guests. Jessie and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful all throughout the process!

Loft on Lake was a beautiful space for our post-wedding celebration. We had about 175 guests for a cocktail reception. Everyone fit well, but there are not enough restrooms for that many guests. (Which was very annoying since we were told multiple times throughout the planning process that another bathroom would be built by the time of our event.) The main reason for 2 stars was the terrible experience we had working with the staff at Loft on Lake. Each attempt to contact them throughout our planning took multiple attempts, they did not attend our final walk through with the caterer, and no one from the venue attended our event. This made for working with Loft on Lake a very difficult process, and was the only vendor that left me wishing I had hired a wedding planner so I wouldn't have to deal with them. Worst, was not having a representative onsite during our event. The caterers and I had to figure out logistical items that should have been answered by LOL. Also, annoyingly, they had their own photographer attend our event to take photos. He never introduced himself and confused us and our guests when asking to take pictures. In re-reading our contract, I saw that this was mentioned, but it would have been much more professional had he introduced himself.

My wedding was held over Memorial Day weekend and it was better than I had imagined - thanks in large part to the beautiful space and Cheryl/Jessie. They are absolutely wonderful to work with! Cheryl/Jessie are very responsive, easy to coordinate in terms of wedding activities for the weekend of, coordinating with all of our vendors and answering any question throughout the planning process. Everyone at our wedding commented on how beautiful the space is and pictures do not do it justice. The loft has an intimate, urban/chic and romantic feel to it and does not require a lot of extra decorations. We saw two venues at the start of planning, LOL being the second one, and we knew instantly that this would be it. We are hoping that somewhere in the future, we can book this space again for anniversary celebrations.

Loft on Lake was the perfect venue for our wedding this May in Chicago! We had to plan and hold a wedding in four months due to an international transfer for my work and Loft on Lake really helped get everything sorted in such a short time. We had 115 guests and everyone fit comfortably into the space, with plenty of room for dancing without moving tables. We had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at Loft on Lake - it was a wonderful one-stop shop venue for our entire wedding day! Loft on Lake comes with overhead and wall lighting, beautiful exposed brick walls, a skylight, bridal suite, kitchen, bathrooms, and is conveniently located near the Green/Pink lines for guests taking public transport - also close to the Loop's hotels. It is also close to a few big bars in the West Loop (Kaiser Tiger, Bottom Lounge) that can host a large group for after-wedding drinks. Cher and Jessie were great the whole time and we had no issues booking, planning, or day of wedding activities. They coordinated directly with our vendors (flowers, caterers, lighting, drinks) which saved us the hassle of coordinating drop-offs and pick-ups on and after our wedding day. Chicago weddings can be expensive, but Loft on Lake provides a nice option where you can do a lot or just add some flowers and additional lights like we did - the space itself is gorgeous and really doesn't need a lot of extra work. For anyone wanting an urban look wedding, with 140 guests or fewer, we strongly recommend taking a look at Loft on Lake - it was perfect and our guests loved the space! Hopefully someone in our family wants to get married there soon, because we'd be happy to come back as guests! Thanks again Loft on Lake! Zach and Ady

If I could give Loft on Lake more stars I would. My husband and I saw so many Lofts in the West Loop and nothing could compare. The moment we walked in the space we knew this is where we were going to be married. Not only is the space so beautiful but the family that owns it are such wonderful people to work with. When we first saw the space we were greeted by the owners son Joel. Unlike all the other venues we had seen, Joel greeted us with his dog (yes, this venue is dog friendly) and he congratulated us on our engagement! He was so personable and helped us through booking the venue. From there we worked closely with Cher (mother). She was so attentive and responsive. Any question that popped in our minds, we would email her and have a response within hours! We also worked with Jessie (daughter) who was there a few times when we went to see the space for final walk-throughs and setting up our wedding. If you're looking to have a unique wedding with a guest count around 130 or less and you want a magical night, look no further! Our wedding was seamless and every single photo is stunning in the beautiful place. We literally cried when we pick up decorations up a few days after our wedding! We're going to miss the venue and the Loft on Lake family so much!

I went to review this place in 2014 for my 2015 wedding. The people at Loft on Lake stayed in constant contact we me every month. The venue was gorgeous and I have had some of the best compliments on the location.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception there, and we absolutely loved it. The space is beautiful and original and the vendors are amazing. Highly recommended!!

We recently had our wedding reception at Loft on Lake and could not have been happier with our choice! We were looking for a cool space with a city vibe and Loft on Lake delivered just that! We worked closely with Vitaliy while planning our event and he was amazingly helpful. Very responsive and had great suggestions for the space as well as other vendors to use. Could not have been happier with our contact! The space was very easy to make our own. If you look at pictures of the various events at this venue you'll see that no two are the same - that's exactly what we wanted and exactly what we got! No boring, cheesy banquet hall or run-of-the-mill hotel ballroom weddings here! This space is beyond perfect for the couple that wants to treat their guests to a unique, unforgettable wedding. We got so many compliments on the space and it really added to the experience, especially for our guests from overseas. I would not hesitate to book this space again!
