One of my top three priorities for my wedding was a great dance party, and these guys kept the dance floor PACKED! We had all 9 pieces of the band, a small combo of which played th...
roughout dinner for ambiance, and then the variety of songs they performed for the party was amazing. I couldn't get off the dance floor because everything was such a jam! Cecilio was so responsive in answering questions and even helping my amateur friends with getting set up to do the ceremony music. I made specific requests for the first 3 dances and other than that I gave no directions, and it was amazing. I've had so many people tell me how great it was, and I am so grateful that all of my hopes for a big dance party were realized with the help of London Calling! Thank you so much!
We can't tell you how much we LOVED having London Calling as our wedding band! They were phenomenal, and were so amazing to work with! Matthew, my husband, is really into music, an...
d Cecilio worked with him on the setlist for the wedding reception, which I thought was so incredible! They also transitioned into a Second Line band at the end of the evening, which was one of the coolest highlights of our wedding! They really went above and beyond! Can't wait to see them again!
Booking London Calling for our band was the best wedding vendor decision we made! The music was so great that even during the more low key dinner set, our guests were dancing! We d...
anced the entire night, as well as all of our guests because the music was so great! We also hired horns and agree that they were completely worth it. The band provided a suggested set list that is great already, and were flexible with changing a few of the songs to tailor the list to our tastes. They also learned 3 songs for our first dance and father/daughter, mother/son dances-which was so fun!! All of our guests have been raving about how much they loved the band, and we could not be happier that we hired them.
If you want to have an amazing wedding, start with hiring London Calling as your band! Music for our reception meant a lot to me as I wanted to have everyone up dancing and partyin...
g for the night and did the band deliver! I myself danced for about 4 hours and could not have been happier with the amount of people that were drawn to the dance floor because of how amazing the music was. They were flexible with set list which I appreciated and we did spring for the horns and they were worth every penny especially when "Superstitious" by Stevie Wonder came on. I received so many compliments for London Calling , it was truly the best decision I made to make sure we had the best wedding ever. If I ever have any other type of event in Austin, I would hire them without any hesitation.
London Calling delivered an outstanding performance and left all our guests talking about them. Their lead vocalists include me and my groom in many of the songs, pulling us up on ...
stage or calling us out - we really enjoyed it. They took very short breaks and kept people of ALL ages (16-60) on the dance floor with their variety and energy. My groom was very specific with song requests and order of playing and London Calling worked with us to accommodate what we wanted. They know what they are doing and you can trust them to bring the party!
Could not have asked for a better band! We asked them to play our first song, the father daughter, and the mother son dances live. Other than that, we really let them decide what t...
o play. Cecilio, the leader, spoke with us after we had them booked and got a feel for what we wanted. Without much instruction, they ran with it. They were booked to play from 8PM to 1AM. Long story short, our guests never sat down, they danced all night. Even my 81 year old grandmother spent hours on the dance floor. We were having so much fun we asked them to play an extra hour. They played a huge variety of songs and everyone loved them. We chose to fly them in after reading other reviews and it paid off. We had multiple options but we chose to go with six band members plus their engineer. We live in El Paso, TX, and flew them in from Austin. The sound engineer drove with all the equipment. Because of the distance, we did provide them with hotel rooms for the night of the wedding. They were awesome! If I ever have to plan a large event like this again, I will call them and see if they are available. Without question would book them again!
I have endured my fair share of good and bad wedding bands/music and these guys were one of the best wedding bands I've ever heard! They were so entertaining, without trying to ste...
al the show. Their music selection was such a great mix, you would think it was a dj. The voices were phenomenal and so diverse. They literally could sing anything. I would highly recommend using this band for your wedding or event!
I hired London Calling sight unseen after going to see a handful of other bands live and hating all of them. But the risk totally paid off. These guys are amazing, just take my wor...
d for it. A lot of other bands are super cheesy but they are just down-to-earth, cool guys that know how to jam. They also played everything I asked them to. Our dance floor never stopped--they even played an encore when no one wanted to leave!
If you want a great cover band that adds their own flair. The main emcee guy was also great and adapted to every situation. They are fun profession and spontaneous! Everyone wi...
