Nestled on 20 acres of mature trees and rolling plains in rural Cass County, Lone Oak Farm is a wedding venue located near Ayr, ND. The breathtaking grounds feature over a mile of walking paths through the native grasses and a grove of centuries-old cottonwoods with one lone oak. Originally built in 1906, the homestead was the property of owner Melissa Oberlander’s grandparents before being turned into a wedding venue in 2021. Situated 35 minutes northwest of Fargo, this estate is a secluded and serene spot to make timeless memories with loved ones. For reception celebrations, Lone Oak Farm features a newly-constructed retro-chic barn that is designed to evoke the historic nature of the land. This elegant building boasts a grand hall with 30-foot ceilings crisscrossed with reclaimed shiplap timber and metalwork beams and gorgeous chandeliers. The barn has a second floor mezzanine with a kitchenette and a caterer's prep kitchen on the ground floor where caterers can prepare reception dinners. Outside, a firelit patio is set with comfortable lounge furniture and surrounded by board-and-batten siding and makes for an ideal cocktail hour location. Off the patio leads to an outdoor tiered amphitheater with fieldstone benches where you and your partner can exchange vows. Ahead of the walk down the aisle, you and your wedding party are invited to use the farmhouse for your day-of preparations. This lovingly remodeled home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sunroom furnished with crystal chandeliers, comfortable seating, and vanities for getting ready. Lone Oak Farm is ADA accessible and comes with seating for up to 375 guests, glassware and dishware, a sound system, and full bar service.

Lone Oak was the perfect venue for our wedding! The outdoor ceremony space was beautiful, and the staff was incredibly accommodating—especially providing chairs for our older family members who couldn’t use the stone seating. The reception area and patio were exactly what we needed for dinner, dancing, and relaxing by the fireplace. We also stayed overnight in the cozy, charming farmhouse, which made getting ready the next morning so easy. Huge thanks to Melissa and the team for making our day absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

10/10. This venue is absolutely perfect. Melissa is incredible to work with and just so kind. We stayed at the farmhouse and it was the best place to get ready and spend the weekend at. We rented the place for the whole weekend and it was worth every penny. It’s so quiet that my husband and I had such a relaxing morning the day of and after our wedding, which is hard to do with all that is going on your wedding day. We both agreed we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. The ability to pick whatever caterer you want is great as well. We even got to have our dogs be a part of our ceremony and the layout of the venue made that easy. The best venue I’ve been to in my opinion

My husband and I just got married at Lone Oak Farm back in August. This was the only wedding venue we toured and it was so easy to want to book. It is a beautiful family farm with so much more meaning behind it than just business. There are so many amazing places to take photos all on one property and for loved ones to gather and enjoy. Melissa was an absolute dream to work with from the time we toured with her straight through to our wedding day. She was so helpful and always made herself available to answer any questions or fine tune the details that all made our wedding at Lone Oak Farm so special. Looking back on our wedding day, my husband and I often remark that one of our favorite parts was choosing vendors that we knew personally. It made our day truly feel like we were surrounded by one big family. Lone Oak Farm will always be more than just a wedding venue to us and we are happy we will get to visit Melissa and her amazing staff often at their future events.

As a wedding planner, it is always such a relief to work at a venue that has a supportive staff and Lone Oak Farm was that and more! Teresa, one of the owners, was an absolute delight to work with throughout the entire planing process! She was always available to answer any questions we had and you can really tell she truly cares about each and every one of her couples that host their weddings at Lone Oak. On the wedding day, Teresa and her team were so helpful and always making sure everything was running smoothly for the couple! I HIGHLY reccommend hosting your wedding at Lone Oak Farm! The grounds are stunning and the staff is amazing! You defintely cannot go wrong!

Lone Oak Farm in Ayr ND is an absolutely breath-taking venue! We had our wedding there in May and it was just stunning! We got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how gorgeously it was decorated. Not only was the venue for the reception wonderful but the farmhouse they offer for you to stay at after is so convenient and beautiful as well. My bridesmaids and I used it to get ready the morning of the wedding and it was such a comfortable place to crash the night of. Co-owner Teresa was a pleasure to work with throughout our whole wedding planning experience and gave us a lot of vendor recommendations that really helped us prepare for the wedding. We also had a half open bar, so Lone Oak Farm was able to supply use with 3 kegs and two different types of wine. For what we didn’t pay for, the phenomenal bartending staff at Lone Oak Farm was able to whip up for our guest instead. I heard they make a mean Bloody Mary! I would highly recommend Lone Oak Farm as a venue for any gathering needs and especially for a wedding!
