A BALLROOM IN GALLATIN, TN

About Us

Surrounded by natural grass organic plants, flowering buds and evergreens, Long Hollow Gardens and Nursery is a one-of-a-kind venue that provides a year-round location for special occasions, such as wedding ceremonies and receptions. Located on the lovely Long Hollow Pike in Gallatin, Tennessee, just 20 minutes away from Nashville, Long Hollow Gardens and Nursery sits in a 35-acre property home to actual gardens, nursery and versatile settings for indoor and outdoor events. Couples and their guests enjoy the beautiful view of the tree farm, flower-packed gardens and the gentle sound of water streaming down through the creek.

Long Hollow Gardens and Nursery's location amidst flowers, trees and a beautiful creek makes an inspiring backdrop for precious wedding photography. Couples choose from a variety of outdoor and indoor locations to hold the ceremony or reception for which they planned. Two scenic and memorable settings may be fused into one to cater to a larger event, while some places are ideal for a more intimate setup.

The Greenhouse is the newest addition to Long Hollow Gardens and Nursery and also the most popular event place for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Originally a reclaimed Lord and Burnham Greenhouse in the early 1900s, the Greenhouse is rebuilt in the Long Hollow Pike property using natural and raw materials to preserve its historic importance. Unpainted sliding barn doors give the Greenhouse a rustic feel, while its large-scale transparent roofing naturally infuses unique lighting and hues for daytime and nighttime events. Because of its design, the Greenhouse creates a gorgeous and comfortable setting even if it’s the middle of winter. The spacious area accommodates up to 300 people.

The Barn. An overhead glass door separates the Greenhouse from the Barn and allows couples to expand their guest list up to 450 people. The hand-built timber frame barn is built as an intimate ceremony wedding location or an additional space for wedding receptions.

Farmhouse. Built in the 1880s, this historic Federal-style farmhouse is an ideal setting for a more intimate reception or a private space for the bride and groom. It has been the center of activities at Long Hollow Gardens. The farmhouse houses conditioned-restrooms, private suites and remarkable architecture dating back from the late 1800s.

The Wildflower Meadow is an ideal location for couples dreaming of exchanging or renewing vows in the middle of a spacious wild carpet of natural flowers and trees. Lush greens, abundant species of trees and dainty wildflowers serve as natural decoration for outdoor ceremonies. Couples say their vows in front of a raw and unpainted wooden arbor that can be decorated with dainty blooms or white laces. Guests enjoy the view of the meadow while sitting in garden-style chairs lined in front of the arbor.

The Gardens are situated just next to the tree farm, giving couples a breezy and spacious area to share a memorable ceremony with their guests. The bride walks on the cobblestone pathway, while the groom and the guests wait in the grass-covered ground amidst small plants and towering conifer trees.

I am not the traditional bride who had her wedding details decided long ago, managing 6 pinterest boards of event must-haves that would certainly equate the perfect day. However, I did not need ANY of this having chosen Long Hollow Gardens! The venue itself provides such beauty... Read More and warmth that extravagant flower arrangements were unnecessary and little thought had to be put into setting up this exquisite and breathtaking venue. We were allowed to utilize any of the decor and products from the garden and store which set our event off as ideally as if I had been tirelessly planning for years. The Scotts, who own the venue, are the most caring and accommodating people. They were extraordinarily helpful and kind. Having these two on your side would have been worth the rental fee within itself. However, the garden is absolutely magical, and I would have been remiss to have chosen to be wed anywhere else. Truly. This space is that wonderful. I wish I could relive it all. From the string lights to the fully restored late 1800s house to the meadow, this is what dreams are made of.

Lucky to have my wedding in this naturally beautiful and unique location. The heirloom circle garden was the perfect setting for the ceremony. Read More stopped by recently and they now have a hand-built timber frame barn, with exposed timbers and finished floor. It could be the location for a wedding or the icing-on-the-cake reception area! The whole property is designed by a landscape architect to highlight the natural beauty of the location, with specific focal points and well-placed gathering areas. Even the restored farm house could be the setting for an intimate wedding and/or vintage reception.
