Used the Marriott as our wedding hotel for ourselves and guests - working with the admin team to secure a block, changes to the block, any questions, etc. was very easy, they were ...
always responsive and accommodating. The hotel is older and rooms in need of an upgrade - but all was clean and we had no issues. I had a one bedroom suite to get ready in which had a dining room table and seating area - plenty of space for our 15 people. My husband and his groomsmen got ready in an executive king corner room - which was plenty of space for them. The full service hotel bar was also a plus! Definitely recommend!
We hosted our wedding guests at the Long Island Marriott to spend the night as well as to have brunch the morning after our wedding. Carmela was our event planner and she was extre...
mely accommodating. She helped us book a hospitality suite for the groomsman to get ready in the morning of the wedding, reserve rooms for our guests at the hotel and arrange our brunch the next morning. Carmela sent us monthly updates with who had booked their rooms so we could keep track of which guests were staying at the hotel.. The hotel was also recently renovated and extremely clean. I would recommend working with the Long Island Marriott!
We reserved 35 rooms and a hospitality suite. The room service was great, hospitality suite was nice and big with a tv, bathroom, and kitchen. The guests loved their rooms and th...
e buffet and bar downstairs. Carmela was easy to work with. Only con was no safes in the rooms.
Leading up to the wedding the sales and event managers were very understanding of the needs of a large, Indian wedding and accommodated both bride's and groom's side. Were willing...
to change the brands of liquor for us, we're very accomodating with multiple rooms used for multiple events, during the reception the attendants were ever present to get bride and groom food / drinks. The grand ballroom is a great canvas that our decorators worked well with to create a fantastic setting for our ceremony and then were able to change around for reception.
We had our reception on October 6, 2012 at the Marriott, Uniondale. Everyone was helpful from beginning to end. At no time did we feel alone in this process. Dena Kimmel (Sales...
Mgr) closed the deal and then continued to follow up with us even while turning it over to the Event Mgr, Carmela McLaughlin. Carmela and Marte D, Marie responded to our constant emails and questions without issue. They followed our requests up to and including on our wedding day. Carmela was present on our day to ensure we had everything we needed. The “day of” staff ensured we and our guests felt welcomed and happy at the Marriott. Our bridal attendant stayed at my side all of the evening, ensuring that drinks were filled and our food needs were taken care of.
We would definitely use the Marriott, Uniondale for another event
Such nice people!!! Great customer service!!! Glad we used them
We stayed there the night of our wedding, and all our out of town guests as well. We loved it, and found it to be affordable. The only thing we didn't love was the paper thin pil...
