The Long Island Sound band-
Versatile and popular, this premiere group has entertained audiences at weddings, social events, and clubs throughout New England. The band was formed in 1974 by Ivoryton drummer and vocalist Gary Ribchinsky.
Weddings are our specialty and we work with our clients seamlessly to customize their perfect day of music.
Audiences are treated to a wide variety of the most popular music including Swing, Motown, Oldies Rock, Funk, Disco, Latin, Country and Top 40. The Long Island Sound features, a full rhythm section three horns and recording artist -vocalist Mary Beth Sippin. The band is dynamic with energy and keeps your dance floor full the entire evening.

I was so happy we chose Long Island Sound for our wedding reception!!!
The band had the perfect sound (LOVE the horns) and appearance (tuxes with purple ties, bandstands) for our celebration at Eolia Mansion in Waterford, CT in September, 2013.
We kicked off the dancing with "In The Mood" and danced the night away! The band's playlists cross over the generations and the dance floor was jamming or swaying all night long.
Mary Beth, the lead singer, is a little lady with a big voice. She also filled the role of emcee.
Gary the DJ played selections from our personal favorites during the band's breaks. He also provided the wireless sound system at the Amphitheater for the ceremony.
Our guests raved about the band. I heard from guests that people who don't normally dance were on the floor.
From the beginning of the selection process, Gary Ribchinsky was wonderful to work with, fair and reliable.

Long Island Sound Band is a 7-piece wedding band. They played at our wedding for four hours and were amazing! The band was energetic, fun and very affordable. They play 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. They have the DJ available when the band goes on their break. Long Island Sound Band was perfect for our wedding because EVERYONE was dancing from the children to the older crowd…the dance floor was packed all night! Gary is awesome to work with. Highly recommended.
