My husband and I were thrilled with our decision to get married at Long View Gallery. First and foremost, it is a beautiful and unique space. Suzi and Michele were so helpful and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. The Gallery's preferred vendor list helped us secure wonderful vendors, including our caterer and florist, who helped transform this gorgeous venue into the wedding of our dreams. What we loved most is that the artwork provided decor in itself! And to top it all off, the Gallery is in a fun neighborhood and surrounded by nice restaurants and bars. We got a room block for guests just blocks away and everyone really enjoyed the entire experience. We would highly recommend Long View to any couple!!
The space is lovely, the staff were easy to work with, sound quality (which I had heard can be a problem in gallery spaces) was totally fine and the ability to bring in your own vendors and alcohol is awesome - the only thing I will say is that making sure every vendor had insurance with Long View listed was more of a pain (and more expensive) than anticipated - and catering is a huge cost since you have to bring in everything to the gallery.
We chose Long View as our wedding venue and we were so happy with the decision. We wanted something different than the traditional hotel banquet hall, but something that was still close to DC for family flying in (aka no played barn wedding). No stairs also became important for our older guests, which is hard to find in most DC venues. We were worried at first about the cost -- LVG was at the top end pricing-wise and everything needed to be rented or brought in which drives your budget up even further, but we fell in love with the atmosphere at Long View and the potential for the contrast of the rawness of the space and the art with my lace wedding dress. It really set the tone for our modern yet traditional wedding. We ended up with very little decor, mostly just accent pieces to highlight the space. Michele was great to work with and our guests were so impressed by the venue. Everything was beautiful, seamless, and easy with Long View, and now us and our guests have unique wedding memories for a lifetime.
Long View Gallery was hands down, the best decision we made for our wedding. The atmosphere, the decor, the acoustics, location, the staff...everything was just what we were hoping for and more. We loved working with Suzi and Ellie. They were attentive, quick to follow-up, and accommodating.
We loved Long View. The space is wonderful and fit our needs perfectly. We loved the outdoor space and the industrial feel. Suzi was a joy to work with.
