Long Yau Photography

a, but he put us at ease and helped us capture great, natural photos. The day of the wedding he spent the entire day with us and made sure to get photos of me and my family, my husband and his family, and tons of photos at the wedding itself. He is hilarious and made sure everyone was having a great time, and capturing those memories along the way. He made sure the photos didn’t take us away from the wedding for too long, and is clearly an expert at what he does. We cannot wait to get our photos back, we know they’re going to be amazing.

n on our wedding night, he went above and beyond to ensure that we had an amazing experience. He is truly dedicated to the art of photography, and it comes through in the attention to detail and emotion conveyed in every single photo. He alleviated any stress surrounding our photos and made it such an enjoyable experience. His unique style allows him to capture every single moment in a cinematic way, and I feel like I am watching a movie when I look through our photos. Communication was excellent, and the turnaround time was exactly as promised. If you want a professional, talented photographer who will exceed your expectations, we highly recommend Long!

ot last minute to a teeny wedding with just family with a very short lead time. Long worked with us to figure out a date and plan. From showing up with bells on, to bringing extra marshmallows to our cranky kiddo, he never missed a beat. Our photos were unbelievable. He captured our love in a way that really showed up authentically. Nothing posed, just lots of love. 10/10, no notes

d not recommend him more!!

cookie cutter photographer that captures all of the basic things, he is not for you. But if you want your wedding captured in the most beautiful, magical and unique way, contact him!! He is amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer🤍

t photographer to work with. I could tell not only by his amazing portfolio, but also by his personality that he was going to be great to work with. Long has such a great sense of humor and it really lightens the mood, which made our wedding day feel so much less stressful. My husband and I are not the best at taking pictures but Long is such a master at his craft that he made it so easy for us with his instructions & our photos turned out stunning as a result. Long also provided thoughtful guidance and suggestions but always left the final decisions up to us, which was incredibly helpful amidst all the other decision-making we had to navigate. And the photos? Absolutely stunning. He perfectly captured every moment and left us with memories we’ll cherish forever. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision to work with him. The day of our wedding he took absolutely gorgeous photos that are unmatched in quality, and he did so in an extremely efficient, laid back manner that still showcased his professionalism and experience as a wedding photographer. We cannot recommend Long enough!

despite having not been there before, had all of the great spots. For the wedding, he was organized and involved. He and his assistant were always where the action was and the photos came out great! I cannot recommend him more!

We are forever grateful for Long and the amazing way he captured not only our wedding day but our love for one another and our family and friends on a very very important day. Much love for Long and his work!

ve. His deep understanding of the special procedures at Duke Chapel was evident and greatly appreciated. Long went above and beyond to ensure that everyone felt comfortable, taking extra steps to accommodate our needs. His experience shone through in every aspect of his work. Long's attentiveness to detail and ability to capture the perfect moments resulted in stunning photos that we will cherish forever. We are absolutely thrilled with the final results and highly recommend Long to anyone looking for a skilled and dedicated wedding photographer.

. He took the time to meet with us two times prior to the wedding to make sure we had all our questions answered. Above and beyond happy with the final product. ❤️

ent so far above and beyond on our actual day. Throughout our entire wedding day Long set us at ease. He never made us feel rushed or like taking pictures was a chore, but he kept things moving and found the most amazing locations with the best lighting. Our day happened to be uncomfortably hot out, but he kept us laughing and worked right through it, never complaining. His calm demeanor allowed us to enjoy the day together and with our families stress-free, while capturing photos that we will cherish for a lifetime. Our photo album quality was everything I had hoped for and more. He has the most amazing ability to capture lighting softly while also bringing out warmth and bright colors. He truly has an artist's eye for photo composition and while his poses were simple and natural, he captures such a wide range of focal points and angles. We were so fortunate to have gotten to work with Long and highly recommend him to anyone searching for a photographer! To Long: thank you, thank you, thank you

throughout the entirety of our planning process. On our wedding day, he went above and beyond to capture every moment of our special day! Not only was he amazing to work with, he puts so much care into his photos! We were looking for documentary style, candid, and with some portraits; we got exactly what we wanted with Long! Would highly highly recommend Long to anyone!!

feel so comfortable, natural, and made sure we were having fun -- which truly transforms the way the pictures look. Joy and love are palpable in all of the pictures Long takes of his couples, and it's a testament to his approach to photography and his emphasis on storytelling. He really manages to capture a love story in each of his images and image sequences -- it truly is almost like a movie, literally a sequence of pictures that create and emulate motion. While he finds beautiful and aesthetic spots to take certain pictures, Long also works magic with just a simple background, using light and his remarkable editing prowess to create evocative images. Above all, Long allowed us to have fun during both the engagement shoot and during our wedding, making us laugh, letting us have our intimate moments while inconspicuously taking photos, and letting us be completely ourselves. We are absolutely in love with all of the photos, but beyond that, are so grateful to Long for being so professional, organized, easy-going, and making us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He truly managed to capture our love story and has given us the best memento of wonderful memories through his images. I would highly recommend Long to anyone looking for a wedding photographer; not only will he prioritize getting to know you and your partner, but he'll make the entire process enjoyable and will give you the most unique and stunning photographs you could imagine. Thank you, Long, for your hard work and for making us look and feel so beautiful!

d during our entire wedding. He supported us and made us feel beautiful. He reminded us that our wedding was for us and no one else. He made us feel important and captured the best moments of our day! I cannot recommend him more.

destination wedding, he was flexible with some of the requirements of our venue, and answered all our questions happily. Beyond that, he was able to help us gradually feel more comfortable in front of the camera. His photos captured the emotions of the moment, bringing to life all the joy and love we experienced. We are not fans of the overly formal and posed kind of wedding pictures and Long was great about keeping us in the moment and feeling natural and at ease. We cannot recommend him enough! He is so friendly and accommodating and we hope to capture more of our life's milestones with him.

ery honest. Photography was very important to me, but feeling true to ourselves was the most important thing on the wedding day. I feel like Long understands how important this is and did an amazing job making us feel comfortable from the first day we met to the day of the wedding. We have so many beautiful photos of us along with our friends and family to share. Thank you!

ral and felt authentic. We wanted a day of mostly captured moments, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We had a rain forecast, and Long was able to identify the best location and lighting to get meaningful photos before the storm hit. He also put our guests at ease. His technical skill is also amazing--we wanted vintage looking photos, and he not only delivered the look we were going for but went above and beyond. He also spent quality time with us to ensure our goals matched and was very communicative! Don't hesitate to book him for your event!

o provide the best photographs. His pictures are beautiful, and his photos speak for themselves! We would highly recommend Long to anyone in need of a photographer!

t and is so amazing at what he does. We recommend Long to anyone who is looking for a photographer. He is also my brother’s photographer for their upcoming wedding as well! You will not be disappointed!! He is absolutely one of a kind!

ommunicates so well, that it is impossible not to feel confident walking into your wedding with him as your photographer. He will capture all of the small the moments, the moments you will look back on for the rest of your life! You won't even realize he's capturing them, but he knows. And he understands your vision without you having to say a word. TRULY, I could not recommend him more for any bride and groom who wants their engagement and wedding photos captured in THE most magical way possible!

emails to the big day, Long was always attentive to little details about our style and found ways to incorporate them into his work. Our only regret about choosing Long was that - after getting to know him - we wished he could have been both our photographer and a cherished guest :)

t fit in our budget, and was available to work on our date! Looking through reviews for various photographers, we found Long and reached out to him. We loved his photo work, and he quickly got back to us almost right after reaching out! Our first meeting with him felt much more personal than just a business meeting, and he was able to work within our budget range and with our upcoming wedding date, and do an additional engagement session. The day of, Long was efficient and professional, letting us know exactly how he wanted to take the pictures, and helped guide us through the whole process. When we got our photos back, it was clear we had made the right choice to have Long do our photography. All of the pictures were gorgeous and well-edited, capturing key moments throughout our night and immortalizing our wedding. Thank you again Long for your hard work!

ps so much during the crazy planning process. Made sure we got everything we wanted and more. Helped make our day so special and fun!! I highly recommend Long!

wanted. He was very professional and also a lot of fun to work with. He very much was concerned with our needs and what we wanted to capture. Could not be happier.

craft shone through. Right from the start, Long took the time to understand our vision for the wedding and made valuable suggestions to ensure that every moment was captured beautifully. His ability to anticipate and capture the emotions of the day was truly exceptional. Looking through the final images, we were transported back to the day itself, reliving the emotions and memories as if they were happening in real-time. Each image was flawlessly retouched while maintaining the natural beauty and authenticity of the day. Thank you, Long, for capturing images that we will treasure forever.

. We are thrilled with how our photos turned out and can't say enough about his talent, professionalism and thoughtfulness.

ing photos! He showed up on time and made our vision come to life. If you’re thinking about hiring a photographer… look no further! Hire him! You won’t regret it.

country to California and weren't able to do our engagement photos originally as planned. So how did Long handle it? HE CAME TO CALIFORNIA!!! We had the most beautiful pre-wedding photoshoot with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Doing the engagement photos with Long, even though it was our first time meeting him in person, it felt like we had been friends forever. He is such a great human, funny, and makes you feel at ease. After engagement photos, we were even more excited for our wedding day. Long was a calming presence on the wedding morning, and made everything so easy -- not to mention he took stunning photos. On our wedding day, it rained all day, and Long still produced photos beyond our wildest dreams. He even called me a few days before the wedding since he knew it would likely rain and he gave me a pep talk, making sure I knew that everything would be perfect regardless of weather. That is just one example of how Long is more than a photographer, he is a friend. Entrusting Long with our wedding photos is one of the best decisions we could have made. We love you Long! Love, Sam & Grace

ne formal photos like this, but Long made us feel like professionals! He was patient and helped us every step of the way. When we were getting ready for the engagement shoot, my wife and I were incredibly nervous and had no idea what to expect. Long was able to talk us through what we needed to do and was able to calm us down. We never felt judged for "messing up" or for doing the wrong thing. Then on the wedding day he was even better! There were times I forgot he was there to take photos and thought he was part of the family! And through it all, he took the most amazing photos. He caught every big moment we asked him to and more. After the wedding, he was able to edit the thousands of photos he took in a timely fashion to give us nearly 1500 gorgeous pictures to go through. We loved every single one and it made us feel as if we were at our wedding day again. We would recommend Long to anybody. If you need a photographer Long is the person to choose.

ticular about the pictures we wanted (we did not want a ton of posed pictures, but wanted more "capturing the night"). He was always easy to reach, flexible, and had great advice for each part of the wedding, even when it did not have to do with the actual picture-taking.

decided we had to have a phone call to see how our personalities matched. Immediately, Long put us at ease with his casual, easygoing personality and straightforward communication. He really emphasizes relationships with his couples, and wants to support you throughout your planning process so that you are on the exact same page when the big day comes around. He took our vision for engagement photos and made them a reality, treasuring our choice of a space that was deeply personal to us and making it look stunning and natural even though we took some time to warm up to the camera. We never stopped laughing around him, and had the utmost confidence he was capturing our essence as individuals and as a couple. On my wedding day, I can't stress enough how Long was absolutely key to managing our time and our wedding party (which was a bit chaotic to say the least!). He never stressed, and his ease and confidence made it possible for me to relax because I knew he had everything taken care of and that we would have time for all of the photos we wanted and to actually enjoy our wedding. This was huge for us - we didn't want lots of posed photos but wanted to be able to celebrate with our friends and family and capture those moments and Long was always right beside us to do just that. We had to pivot multiple times due to weather and timing of other vendors, and Long took each change in stride without a second thought. After our wedding, Long feels like a true friend and a big part of our favorite memories of our wedding and the planning process. Our friends and family all commented about how kind and professional he was, and his photos truly deliver on the drama and gorgeous, vintage style what we were looking for at a moody/rustic winter wedding. Trust me when I say that using him as your photographer will be the best decision you will make when planning a wedding - truly cannot say enough good things.

WOULD! He was communicative and reassuring throughout the entire process. We didn’t know how valuable he would be until our wedding day arrived! The day of our wedding, we were dealing with the effects of a hurricane. Needless to say, it was rainy and cloudy, but Long made is seem like the best case scenario. He took charge of the day’s itinerary and coordinated timing with the venue, the groomsmen, bridesmaids, family, and videographer seamlessly. He kept me calm and positive throughout the entire process. There was no question he was there to capture our families’ love, not just to pose us in corny portraits. There was even a point where he helped me put my sandals on! By the end of the evening, Long was officially part of our family. I wish we had more time with him! We got our pictures back on Christmas Day (wedding was November 11th) and we’re thrilled with how they came out. He sent us way more than we ever could have expected or asked for…all edited! Long is a magician! I don’t usually like how I look in pictures, but he has a talent for capturing people in their happiest, most emotional and most tender moments. I can’t recommend Long Yau enough! He helped make our day the happiest day of our lives!

showcased everyone’s personalities.

e are so pleased with Our decision to hire Long. We cannot recommend him highly enough!!
