From the very first meeting my husband and I had with Long, I knew he was going to be the best photographer to work with. I could tell not only by his amazing portfolio, but also by his personality that he was going to be great to work with. Long has such a great sense of humor and it really lightens the mood, which made our wedding day feel so much less stressful. My husband and I are not the best at taking pictures but Long is such a master at his craft that he made it so easy for us with his instructions & our photos turned out stunning as a result. We got so lucky that we found Long. He was an absolute dream to work with. We had the opportunity to have him photograph three events for our wedding. Long travelled out of state to meet us for both our engagement shoot and the wedding. He arrived at the arboretum where we were having our shoot early and scoped the place out and despite having not been there before, had all of the great spots. For the wedding, he was organized and involved. He and his assistant were always where the action was and the photos came out great! I cannot recommend him more!

We fell in love with Long's photography before we even began truly planning our wedding. We knew he was the right fit for us straight away. he was willing to travel to NOLA for our destination wedding, he was flexible with some of the requirements of our venue, and answered all our questions happily. Beyond that, he was able to help us gradually feel more comfortable in front of the camera. His photos captured the emotions of the moment, bringing to life all the joy and love we experienced. Long is the most amazing photographer and human being! We got an engagement day and wedding day package. Finding a photographer was something of a last minute endeavor for us; with a few upsets throughout our wedding planning process, we wanted to make sure we found a photographer that fit in our budget, and was available to work on our date! Our first meeting with him felt much more personal than just a business meeting, and he was able to work within our budget range and with our upcoming wedding date, and do an additional engagement session. When we got our photos back, it was clear we had made the right choice to have Long do our photography. Choosing a photographer felt like a super high pressure decision, but when we met Long, we knew he was the right choice for us. During our engagement, we ended up moving across the country to California and weren't able to do our engagement photos originally as planned. So how did Long handle it? HE CAME TO CALIFORNIA!!! We had the most beautiful pre-wedding photoshoot with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. He even called me a few days before the wedding since he knew it would likely rain and he gave me a pep talk, making sure I knew that everything would be perfect regardless of weather. It was an absolute pleasure getting to work with Long throughout our wedding process. From our first meeting on, he was incredibly helpful, responsive, and genuine. We had never done formal photos like this, but Long made us feel like professionals! He was patient and helped us every step of the way. When we were getting ready for the engagement shoot, my wife and I were incredibly nervous and had no idea what to expect. Long was able to talk us through what we needed to do and was able to calm us down. We never felt judged for "messing up" or for doing the wrong thing. Then on the wedding day he was even better! There were times I forgot he was there to take photos and thought he was part of the family! And through it all, he took the most amazing photos. He caught every big moment we asked him to and more. After the wedding, he was able to edit the thousands of photos he took in a timely fashion to give us nearly 1500 gorgeous pictures to go through. We loved every single one and it made us feel as if we were at our wedding day again. We would recommend Long to anybody. If you need a photographer Long is the person to choose.

This was huge for us - we didn't want lots of posed photos but wanted to be able to celebrate with our friends and family and capture those moments and Long was always right beside us to do just that. We had to pivot multiple times due to weather and timing of other vendors, and Long took each change in stride without a second thought. After our wedding, Long feels like a true friend and a big part of our favorite memories of our wedding and the planning process. Our friends and family all commented about how kind and professional he was, and his photos truly deliver on the drama and gorgeous, vintage style what we were looking for at a moody/rustic winter wedding. Trust me when I say that using him as your photographer will be the best decision you will make when planning a wedding - truly cannot say enough good things.

After seeing Long’s pictures from a friend’s wedding in NC, we were in love! I reached out after we got engaged to see if hewould travel to NY to shoot our wedding and HE ACTUALLY WOULD! He was communicative and reassuring throughout the entire process. We didn’t know how valuable he would be until our wedding day arrived! The day of our wedding, we were dealing with the effects of a hurricane. Needless to say, it was rainy and cloudy, but Long made is seem like the best case scenario. He took charge of the day’s itinerary and coordinated timing with the venue, the groomsmen, bridesmaids, family, and videographer seamlessly. He kept me calm and positive throughout the entire process. There was no question he was there to capture our families’ love, not just to pose us in corny portraits. There was even a point where he helped me put my sandals on! By the end of the evening, Long was officially part of our family. I wish we had more time with him! We got our pictures back on Christmas Day (wedding was November 11th) and we’re thrilled with how they came out. He sent us way more than we ever could have expected or asked for…all edited! Long is a magician! I don’t usually like how I look in pictures, but he has a talent for capturing people in their happiest, most emotional and most tender moments. I can’t recommend Long Yau enough! He helped make our day the happiest day of our lives!

Long Yau was an amazing photographer to work with. My husband and I first had a video chat with him while going through possible photographers and Long exuded confidence in his work and personal style. Long also speaks Cantonese Chinese, which also helped as my side of the family spoke mainly Chinese and he knew what to expect from the Chinese parts of the ceremonies, which helped the day go smoother tremendously. Getting to work with Long was the best experience for our wedding! Right from when we did our first meeting, I knew it was a perfect fit. He was very supportive and easy to work with! He made sure to capture the moments that were important to us (and caught surprised ones too!) He created photos that captured our love, the fun, and gave me the vinyl art style photos of my dreams :)

The most important thing for my now-husband and I during the wedding planning process was to find a photographer that didn't take us away from our wedding day to take more pictures for their portfolio, and we are so glad that we found Long. Long was not only attentive to what we wanted on our day, but made sure that we were not taken away from times like cocktail hour and dancing. We did a first look and he got all of our couple portraits out of the way (which I highly recommend in general doing). The best thing about Long- he got us all 1,600 pictures to us 8 days after our wedding. 8 DAYS AFTER! Like what!! And they were all incredible quality. I cannot say enough good things about Long. If you're still on the fence and can't decide on a wedding photographer, he is amazing and I 1000% recommend him! If you're looking for moody and natural/not posed photos, then he's definitely your guy. He did our engagement photos back in 2019 right before the pandemic hit and I still love looking back at them even now. We were supposed to have our wedding on November 2020 but had to reschedule it twice and he was so understanding and accommodating about it. I usually feel very awkward in front of the camera but he is super chill and made us feel so comfortable so it ended up being actually kind of fun and the photos turned out so natural! He also captured so many candid and funny moments from our wedding and he delivered way more pictures than I thought we would get. All of the wedding guests and people in our bridal party only had good things to say about him too.

We are so glad we hired Long as our wedding photographer. We were initially drawn to his photography style and the finished pictures did not disappoint, we can't wait to print them out. Even better though, is how closely Long listened to what we cared about on the day of our wedding and how well he blended being present but inconspicuous at the same time. For photos of just the two of us, he was good at giving us cues and figuring out how to make us relax but he also did a great job of capturing the spontaneous moments throughout the day. One of the most important decisions I think related to wedding planning is choosing the photographer. Long is seriously the most talented photographer! He did both our wedding and engagement photos. We walked away from our very windy, cloudy photo session hoping he could get atleast one decent picture, only to be completely stunned by the most gorgeous engagement pictures. My husband and I initially contacted Long to enquire about an engagement shoot, since I didn’t believe that his prices were in our budget, but was absolutely in love with his work! His work not only captures the true love of the couples he works with, but also lights people of color extremely well, which was important to my husband and I. Instead of just sending us his prices, he FaceTimed us and worked together to create the perfect package for our needs, within our budget. Just that alone was so helpful of him and so kind and considerate, and once we had our initial engagement shoot with him, we knew he was the one. Long has a hilarious sense of humor, he helped to bring my introverted husband out of his shell quicker than most “strangers” and quickly became someone dear to us. About three months before our wedding, after numerous financial and health issues, my husband and I both decided that we wanted to elope. It was something we had thought about before, but I still wanted photos since we already had our wedding outfits and many things in between. Long worked with us to change our location, date, and captured beautiful photos of us, our two best friend’s and their son (our godson). I cannot begin to express how happy I am that we chose Long as our photographer and will certainly be contacting him someday for a maternity shoot! ❤️

We couldn't have asked for a better photographer. He is beyond talented and his photos are beautiful. He is also genuine, personable, funny and makes you feel extremely comfortable. It can be nerve wracking having your photo taken but Long makes it easy and fun. He is great, I would hire him again and again!

Long is the greatest photographer we have ever met! He did our engagement and wedding pictures, and I think my husband and I realized just how talented he was when we got our engagement pictures back. Both of our families cried TEARS OF JOY, just how well he captured our love for each other. My husband and I had been together almost 10 years before getting married and had never done professional photographs. The way that Long made us feel SO comfortable is unmatched. He was so patient, thoughtful and caring during the entire process! He has earned a special place in our hearts, we will never forget the amazing time we had at our wedding because of him!! If I could give him 10 stars I would, there's no one better!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Long. His photos are simply stunning and he is an even better person. He was so easy to work with and really works to get to know you and what you want out of your photos. When we finally got to meet for our engagement session, we had so much fun. He did a fantastic job of putting us at ease and forgetting that we were being photographed and the results were more than I ever hoped for. On the day of the wedding, he showed up early and stayed until the very end - close to 12 hours! He was invaluable in helping me set my day of timeline and while I haven't gotten my wedding photos yet, I know they are going to be amazing. If you want more than a "point-and-shoot" photographer and cookie cutter photos for your wedding/engagement, Long is definitely your guy!

I was long distance trying to find a photographer for my daughters wedding. She is VERY picky and studied quite a few photographers. She loved with Long's work, so we reached out to him. We had a few facetimes and Kerigan instantly connected with him. He got to know both her and Griffin on a personal level and that connection that he developed with them helped them relax and the pictures are stunning. Long was the first Vendor we booked for our wedding. I knew as long as my pictures were good I didn’t care about the food, the set up anything I just wanted a beautiful way to remember my wedding! Thankfully Long gave me just that! He’s passionate about his job and connecting with couples! He made me and my husband laugh and feel confident in our engagement shoot and at the wedding. Long was the absolute best to work with. He has a super relaxed vibe which fit our personality so well and allowed us to relax in front of the camera. He worked with us to do an engagement session while we were in town (we live in Boston) so we could feel even more relaxed with him on our wedding day.
