Local to Boston, we understood the complexities of attempting to plan our wedding halfway across the country, especially considering we had previously never stepped foot in Louisiana. Call it a leap of faith or just fate, but the final differentiating factor in our choice to have a destination wedding in New Orleans was knowing we’d have Cj & Dominick in our corner. And now, they are stuck with us. From the jump, we prioritized a bespoke experience for our guests – with two grooms, we wanted to write our own rules and throw away the proverbial playbook. At every turn, they overdelivered, and by no means did we take it easy on them. Throughout the course of planning and development, we finally landed on two back to back events that took place at two different locations across the city from one another. Although it sounds like a logistical pretzel, it was pure poetry in motion – and Cj & Dominick were at the center. We threw curveballs. They hit home runs. We wanted to do things differently. They continually said, “What’s next?” We even indulged for a secret, late McDonald’s french-fry pass on the dance floor….and the fries were HOT – I ask the universe, what can’t they do?? We all like to romanticize the idea of our weddings, but nothing prepared me for the moment I walked into both of our venues. The serotonin still continually floods my brain – it was an out-of-body experience in the most incredible way, as I can still hear the gasps and chatter between our guests as they entered, one by one. I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face….there’s no one better than this powerhouse duo and the spectacular vendor teams they lined up for us on our special day. They are true artists and if you are in the fortunate need of some event planning magic, these pros are the only choice. On a final note, Cj & Dominick were the center of our universe for the past ~15 months and we even feel lost without our routine touch points. By nature, our biggest priority in vendor selection was surrounding ourselves with good humans – the type of people who you would gravitate towards in a crowded room. No pair fulfill that better than these two. I feel so privileged that fate brought my thumbs to the Lonney Jane Productions Instagram page a few winters ago (insert shameless plug for all their phenomenal content that I can’t wait to continue to watch). When we decided to reschedule for November of 2021, we made the difficult decision to have a guest-less wedding, LIVEstreaming our ceremony for friends and our families. This meant that, at our wedding, there would be only myself, my partner, our doggie, and our vendors. Cj and Dom held the space so beautifully for us throughout our wedding day and evening, making what was an empty venue feel rich and overflowing with warmth and familiarity -- when you meet them, it's like visiting with dear friends, as if you've picked up right where you left off, and their ability to set such a calm, grounded, kindred tone is truly breathtaking. They were so great at putting out fires (literally) the day of, and just had such a calm energy that you really need while trying to plan a wedding during a pandemic. I had gotten them for the month before and day of package, but if it’s in your budget, I’d go ahead and hire them from start to finish. Just let them handle it all, especially if your wedding falls during COVID times. Trust me. They’re worth it.

In hindsight, we *literally* would not have been able to pull the wedding day off without their coordination. They created minute-by-minute (actually, though) timelines for us, for themselves, and for the vendors. They managed all the events of the day and made sure everything happened smoothly--from letting the ceremony musician know when he needed to play what song, to placing our second line umbrellas in the exact right spot so we wouldn't have to search for them when we exited for the parade. Things I would never have thought of until it would've been too late. Our venue wanted everything loaded out and broken down by midnight, which CJ and Dominick also facilitated. It really allowed us to enjoy our wedding day, and I honestly think it was pulled off without a single hitch because of them. And besides all their professional expertise (of which they have infinite quantities), at the end of the day, they're both just lovely people who have a sense of humor. Who wants to work or collaborate with someone difficult? Certainly not me. Book them!!!!

There were no problems too small or obstacles too big for this tandem to take care of, and they answered every question and solved every problem and facilitated all the nuances and tasks that no one could foresee in throwing a wedding. From the initial conversation, we always felt our needs were prioritized, everything was personalized, and the level of “hand holding” was perfect for a couple in Kansas City who still wanted to pull off a “Junebug worthy” wedding without having to do much more than make some decisions about the color of tablecloths. CJ’s eye for design is incredible, their recommendations for vendors were as if they’d been living in my head, and they regularly went above and beyond to ensure whatever dream vision (that regularly shifted) based on the whatever Pinterest photo I saw that week became a reality on our wedding weekend. Most of all, they are funny, flexible, and genuinely good people who will make you laugh, share a glass of wine w you when things get stressful, go with your strange train of thought when it comes to your “wants” (cake of cheese) and gently bring you back to earth when you go too far (think: being led in on a camel) while still recommending reasonable possibilities that fit within your budget. LLY worth it. From the beginning, they were the most responsive planners we that reached out to. Cj was extremely warm and seemed genuinely excited about our vision from our first call. Our inspiration was the 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet, and she and Dominick had tons of great ideas. Their vendor contacts were invaluable! Cj gave us great options for catering, photography, videography, florals, etc.. that were all within our budget. We would have never found most of them online, and it would've taken us triple the time to vet them on our own. Not to mention, it was comforting to know that our planners had worked with these vendors before. Over the 9 months we worked together, Cj and Dominick helped with every little detail. They never made us feel like we were asking for too much and they always made time for any necessary conversations. No detail ever slipped through the cracks. One huge relief for us was that they stored so many wedding items for us. We shipped rugs, huge neon signs, gifts for the wedding party and more. We were able to do a lot of things ahead of time because of this, which saved us time, money and stress leading up to the wedding. The day of the wedding, we felt so incredibly taken care of by Cj and Dominick!!! They were extremely organized. They were great at communicating any changes to us in a reassuring manner, but also not overwhelming us with unnecessary details. Top reasons to work with LJP: 1) AMAZING DESIGN: The team executed our theme brilliantly - they are SO creative and the designs turned out amazing. (Our team was a pastel garden that turned into a Adam&eve whimsical garden at night and the team pulled out the most incredible transition! There was a cool snake charmer, trees with apples hanging from them, branches and apples on the tables. It was COOL) 2) FLEXIBILITY: CJ was so flexible on altering designs, food menus, etc and always gave us options to choose from. We also changed up the ceremony format a few weeks before the wedding and it was so easy! 3) THEY GO BEYOND: 4 days before the wedding, we asked if CJ had any recommendations for a crawfish boil for 100 people. She immediately helped me find a caterer who took care of everything (food, venue, etc), and we decided within a day and made the crawfish boil happen in 3 days. Even though we selected the day of coordination package, Cj was available to calm my nerves and answer any questions that I had in the months leading up to the wedding. Cj also looked over my contracts in advance to make sure no details were missing. A few weeks before the wedding, Cj and Dominick took over all of the contracts, finalizing any last minute details with the vendors so that I didn't have to. When the wedding day arrived, they had every detail handled and made sure everything went smoothly. I initially picked her because I knew planning a wedding is supposed to be stressful, and she immediately put me at ease. I only made it down to New Orleans twice prior to the wedding, and she helped schedule hair and make up trials, venue walk throughs, etc. She dealt with all my incessant emails in the middle of the night full of anxiety ridden questions with calm expertise and professionalism. She listened to all of my requests and made it a reality with her knowledge of local vendors, while still being mindful of our budget. Her and Dominick coordinated second lines, street cars, vendors, contracts, venue staff, EVERYTHING! They troubleshooted any hiccup during the planning process for us. For example, our save the dates were sent to them printed much darker than how they viewed online. No problem! They had the company reprint them not once, but twice, free of charge to remedy the situation. CJ even made suggestions for things we didn't even know we wanted until she suggested them, and then we had to have them! I'm very detail oriented and a bit of a perfectionist. As the process went on I felt comfortable simply trusting her suggestions, and everything turned out picture perfect! She really listened to our vision for the wedding and turned it into truly the best day of our lives! The day of, CJ and Dominick were flawless! They made everything run so smoothly and kept us stress free to enjoy it all. The next day a family member came up to me and said, "I don't know how much you paid that planner, but she is worth double! She was invisible but was always right there!" I am a 4th-year medical student and knew I would be traveling for half of the year during wedding planning season. CJ kept me on track and stress-free while planning my New Orleans wedding. From the second I had my first phone conversation with her, she made me feel at ease with the entire process. azing they are. Let me paint you a picture. I am a hyper detail oriented designer who needs a detailed plan for most things, I am a list maker, I am a worrier, and I was in NYC planning a destination New Orleans wedding. CJ and Nick were there every step of the way. I will go more into details about the ways CJ especially was there leading up to the big day, but I want to focus this review on the big day. It is pretty standard to have a rain plan for your wedding. We were getting married outside in the New Orleans Botanical Garden and while we hoped for good weather, we had a rain plan that involved a few buildings at the gardens and a couple tents for the wedding. We actually had two different rain plans - one for severe rain and one for light rain. For average days, having plans A-C is enough. April 14th, 2018 had to prove me wrong. I woke up on my wedding day for a 6:30 hair/makeup wake up call with my bridesmaids. CJ would join us later after checking in at the venue with Dominick to get everything going. I knew it would rain that day (I had been hawkishly watching 3 weather sites for weeks) so the day was overcast, but we had our plans in place! But Mother Nature had other plans. Around 8am, the hair stylist mentioned to the makeup artist that she and her husband brought in their lawn furniture the night before because there were supposed to be 75mph winds. One of my bridesmaids covered my ears and said not to worry. Less than an hour later, my mom got the call from CJ and it felt like my heart stopped - the tent vendor cancelled the reservation due to a tornado warning and the insurance risk of high winds. We didn't have a tornado plan. Or so I thought. Because while I was collapsing with anxiety and emotion, CJ informed us she had already talked to all the vendors and that they could all do the wedding the next day during the day time. She also said our vendors could all accommodate a later start time that same night if we wanted to risk the rain to keep our date. CJ had all the different possibilities figured out before calling to give me the options for how to proceed, and adapted fluidly into speaking with one of my maids of honor to coordinate, as I was busy collapsing and details were a struggle at that point. The wedding day was perfect. The sun was shining, the weather was lovely, everything was beautiful, and the party was amazing. It felt right that it happened when it happened. But I know that without CJ and Dominick smoothing everything behind the scenes, it likely would not have happened at all. In the lead up to the wedding, CJ was amazing with sending vendor options, answering every question I had (often answering the same question from me, my mom, then one of us again), putting together timelines for the lead up to the big day, planning agendas for when I visited to maximize our time, breaking down the day of minute by minute, holding my hand, working to find me the perfect florist fit for my very detailed floral design vision (it included a Pantone color palette, flower crowns for the whole party, and a dog flower wreath), and more. I cannot say enough for why you should hire this dream team. I actually cannot, because I have reached the review character limit. Consider this the most glowing review it is possible to give.

e who could "put out any fires" on the day of the wedding. Finally I caved and decided to hire CJ and Dominick for the month of the wedding. WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! CJ was extremely helpful in recommending where to take pictures the day of and offering solutions before things were problems to offering to walk everything back from our venue in the French Quarter to our hotel on Saturday night. CJ and Dominick were wonderful, and we would highly recommend that you hire them for your wedding.

s a destination wedding (coming from the east coast), when I realized I was not cut out for wedding planning. My husband and I have hectic work schedules and the last thing we needed on our plate was worrying about planning a wedding. That is where CJ and Dom came in- from day one after meeting them we knew we wanted to work with them because of their professional and calm manner, with a reassuring, expert answer to every single one of our questions. CJ also knew how to help manage our families and navigate dealing with many opinions. They were there by our side during the whole process- so supportive and easy to work with. They are also VERY organized (so important!) and make a great team. We really owe the success of the wedding to them, we could not have done it without them!!

it was smooth sailing because I knew that CJ and Dominick had it HANDLED. CJ was that wonderful friend that made me laugh while assuring me that everything was taken care of, which as a bride, I thoroughly appreciated. She and Dominick were just so absolutely awesome in every way! There were several times throughout the planning process, and on the day of, that I thought to myself ‘I AM SO HAPPY I HIRED THEM, there’s no freaking way I would have been able to handle this on my own!’ They have experience with second lines, they’re able to think on their toes and have multiple backup plans, and they’re all around lovely people who know how to deal with all the craziness that happens while planning/experiencing a wedding. I’ll miss chatting with CJ! *sniff* Alas, my friends are all married, but if anyone I know gets engaged, I’ll know where to send them!

Because we were out of town, we didn't actually meet CJ and Dominick in person until the day before our wedding, but we felt like we already knew them based on how responsive they had been via email and text. Since we were flying into New Orleans, it was extremely helpful that they allowed us to ship things to their house instead of having to pack everything. On our wedding day, they handled everything calmly and capably - including a minor issue we had with the caterer and some major issues with the dj and the band. They were so nice to our family who were with us throughout the day at the venue and our dog (who played a major part in our wedding). We are so appreciative of all of their hard work and wish that we could bring them up to the tri-state area for help with future events!
