We proudly serve clients across Texas, including Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and surrounding areas — bringing elevated beauty experiences directly to you, wherever your event takes place. I’m Mina, a professional makeup artist originally from Germany and the founder of LOOKXURY. My love for beauty began in childhood, watching my mother’s simple routines transform her confidence. That passion eventually led me across the world in 2016 to New York City — a global fashion capital and creative hub that shaped me both personally and professionally. In NYC, I immersed myself in the world of beauty and fashion — attending top makeup academies, working behind the scenes at fashion shows, and collaborating with a wide range of clients from all walks of life. These experiences refined my skills and deepened my belief that makeup and hairstyling are not just about appearance, but empowerment. After several years of growth in New York, I relocated to Houston, where I turned my solo business, once known as Glam UP by Mina, into what is now LOOKXURY — a hand-selected team of professional hair and makeup artists dedicated to delivering elevated, personalized beauty experiences.

Several members of the bridal party had to touch up or correct their own makeup afterward, and I personally had to apply my own mascara because the product provided was dried out. Despite requesting a dewy look, the makeup was heavy, matte, and did not photograph well. My false lashes were also improperly applied and are visibly misaligned in my wedding photos. We also returned to find trash left behind that we had to clean up ourselves, and the bridal touch-up kit was disappointing, including a used sponge. What was most disappointing was the response afterward. Rather than addressing many of the concerns regarding the makeup application, professionalism, touch-up kit, and overall quality of service, the company primarily attributed the delay to interruptions related to my baby being present and declined any refund. Instead, they offered a complimentary future makeup service, despite my concerns specifically being about the quality of the makeup application I received on my wedding day. The artists were kind, but overall the quality, professionalism, communication, and accountability fell far short of expectations, especially for the price paid. Unfortunately, a wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime event that cannot be recreated.

irstyle looked nothing like the inspiration photo I provided, and the makeup application fell well below expectations. The lip liner, in particular, was uneven and poorly applied. I believe every client deserves to feel confident and heard, especially for such an important occasion, and I hope this feedback is helpful for others when making their decision. Again, the execution is the issue not the colors or shade. I used the extension the vendor recommended as well.
