first want to say our day ended up turning out great with not a lot of help from their event coordinator. the rest of the staff were friendly and very helpful. jenny who is usually the bar tender went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. the food was good and the chef was awesome came out made sure we liked the food, only problem with buffet style we ran out of one of the meat types but they made things right within minutes of letting us know. the course wasn't very well maintained as my mom was out breaking off dead flower that were left around the pond that our ceremony was being held in front off the day before my wedding. when we showed up the decorate many things had not been done that the coordinator had promised they would. 1. the power washing of the chairs looked like a 10 year old did it if it even had been done at all luckily they had extra of the indoor chairs for us to use since we had a small wedding. I had to contact her for everything she never reached out to me. a month before our wedding I called and asked if we were ever going to discuss the menu and again had to call to see when we could drive around the course with our photographer to scope out picture opportunities. I felt like I had to babysit her and her job was to make my day easier by making sure the venue was wedding ready. every time I called her it felt as if I was "bothering" her. she also made a lot of promises that never got followed through until the day before when I called in a panic asking why none if it was done. I could go on about the problems I had dealing with the coordinator. my day turned out great and was beautiful but it was extremely stressful getting it all together. the venue itself is nice but be prepared to do a lot if the leg work yourself and to make sure you have time to "baby sit" and check up and remind the coordinator of things she should be reminding you of. I don't know if we had paid her the $1000 to be our "DAy of coordinator" if it would have made a difference but that seems like a conflict of interest. how can you be the venue event coordinator and the wedding coordinator at the same time? either way just be prepared to do a lot of extra work and make sure you go earlier then the day before to check that all the stuff is done that was promised will be done. last thing you need to worry about is if the venue will be wedding ready on the day of the day before the wedding when you are there to decorate.
