My husband and I are very pleased with John and his work! The entire process from start to finish was very professional, he communicated frequently and without delay, and he was always kind and polite to us. On the day of the wedding, he was enthusiastic, always looking for the next shot, and patient when our relatives made it less-than-easy for him to do his job. Overall, John made it so we had one less thing to worry about on our night, and we're happy to have hired him!

John is amazing. He was so attentive and his pictures are awesome. Our wedding photos were done at a reasonable time and there were so many. He asked me the morning of which pictures I wanted done before we started and gave me some time to get ready. He was on time and before I even wanted a certain picture, he was already taking it. I never had to go looking for him. I already have been recommending him to friends.

My husband, AJ & I got married on May 28, 2011. Choosing John as our photographer was definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We had the opportunity to work with him twice, for our engagement photos and on the day of our wedding; it was while working with him that I was able to learn how passionate and dedicated he is to and about his career. Not only is his work magnificent, but he is very personable, flexible and will do all that he can to fulfill a request. When my husband and I met him for our engagement session he was full of ideas and eager to photograph us and to get to know the two of us. On the day of our wedding he showed up early and was prepared for the day. His flexibility and patience definitely contributed the ease and success of capturing the moments of our day. Not only was John excited to photograph our wedding, but he was willing to spend as much time with us after the wedding and reception in order to get all the photos that were requested by AJ & I. I couldn't be more please with John and his work! He is amazing to work with and the photos we received from the wedding are magnificent and will definitely be treasured. Shannon & AJ

John was very good.He is good at his craft. He takes his time to give you quality photos. The moments that were captured during our engagement session were priceless. During our wedding he was very patient with us, and captured great shots of us and our family. Any thing we asked for, he was right there. I would definitely recommend him

The biggest regret of my wedding day was hiring John as my photographer. When we met with him, we thought that he would do a good job at our wedding. He showed up at our wedding on time (that was the only good part). He was unprofessional and extremely slow. He had difficulty understanding the pictures we wanted to take. He did not understand which individuals were members of the family (excluding a grandmother from the picture because "She looked like an aunt.") We had over an hour and half to take pictures between the ceremony and reception. John was clueless and missing for most of the time. He seemed incapable of composing a picture. We had to determine where everyone would stand ourselves. He had no ideas for pictures. It was like I was responsible for running the whole show myself. I was organizing pictures and being in them. At one point he asked, "Can I see everyone?" We were in the picture. How were we supposed to know? I was the one that remembered he had no pictures of the groomsmen all together. I had to ask him several times to take pictures of our families. He was slow in setting up pictures and taking them. We lost a lot of time and opportunities because he was so slow at setting things up. He promised us initially that we would scout our locations before the wedding day to find good places to take pictures. He had no clue how to get to the park where we went, so he clearly never did that. He also asked the groom to overpay him. This may have been an oversight, but it was just one more reason that you don't usually settle these things at the wedding reception. My caveat is that I haven't seen the pictures yet. But it honestly will not matter. He was BY FAR the worst part of the wedding day. Family, friends, the wedding party, all commented on his awkward demeanor and inability to complete the normal duties of a wedding photographer. Extremely disappointed in my choice.

I am sorry to say that my husband and I were very disappointed with John’s work. First, it took ten weeks and several prompts before we received our archival CD of images. Second, it is clear that very little touch-up work went into the process. Nearly all of the outdoor photos are overexposed. Garbage cans and illuminated exit signs are visible in many photos. My mother’s face is half obscured in the only photo we have of the entire group. When we asked John if he would consider touching up the photos, he suggested that it is a time-consuming process and not what we paid for when he was hired. Worst of all, John did not take a single portrait of the groom on our wedding day. He missed other important details, like the maid of honor walking up the aisle; our sisters doing the readings; our custom wine-bottle guest book, etc. Frankly, many of the photos taken by our guests using simple point-and-shoot digital cameras look far more presentable than the photos taken by John and will be used in our album instead. If you are looking for a professional, I would absolutely not consider using John for your wedding photos. In order to fix our wedding photos, we had to have another photographer take pictures of the groom for our album and touch up the photos that John sent to us before we could use them. Your wedding photos are all you have left after the wedding ends. No one should have to suffer the intense disappointment that my husband and I experienced.

Michael and I got married 10/10/2010 . Hiring John was an excellent decision. John was absolutely amazing and really managed to capture the feeling of the day. We would not hesitate to recommend him. He was relaxed, listened to what you wanted and captured beautiful images without taking you off for hours on end. He is particularly good at snapping away when you don't even realize he is doing so. The final pictures are stunning and we couldn't be happier with our choice. -Shannon & Michael
