Lorna was awesome to work with! Our photos are beyond what we could have asked for. She got stubborn family members to smile, captured beautiful portraits of my husband and me, a...
nd was the only person that reminded me (the bride) to drink water.
Lorna photographed our wedding in the Boston Public Garden. She requested we schedule a short facetime before our wedding day, which was probably the best thing we could have done....
It gave her the opportunity to get to know us and what we were looking for, as well as keep our minds at ease that we made a good choice for a photographer :) During our first look and ceremony, she kept us very relaxed and produced amazing photos that we'll cherish forever! She gave us enough direction where we got amazing shots without feeling awkward or staged. The emotions of our wedding day really showed in the pictures, and we were so lucky to have her there! Definitely recommend!
Lorna did a spectacular photographing our engagement photos and wedding in early November 2018. We were so happy to choose her for our big day. Her communication was excellent and...
kept us as ease during the planning process even when we asked many questions :). When time came for our big wedding day, there were no doubts she would do an amazing job capturing the wedding, us, and our guests having fun. We are truly thankful for Lorna as well as the second photographer Kayla for making our day very special. We highly recommend Lorna Stell Photo for anyone else's wedding!
Lorna shot our wedding BBQ, which was a sort of engagement party. She was very professional from beginning to end. We had a couple of skype calls before hand to determine what kind...
of pictures we were looking for and what the event would look like for us. We mainly wanted candids with a few portrait shots of us and our family. For the family and group pictures Lorna gave us clear instructions of how to stand so that it looks best. This really translated to the pictures, which look amazing. For the couple portraits we went through a few poses, which all felt natural. Lorna made us feel comfortable and made this shoot really fun. Lastly, she took lots of candids, which came out so great as well. We didn't really even notice she was there but found that she captured the love and happiness of that day perfectly. We'd definitely recommend her!
To me, comfort is key. I typically don't like getting my picture taken because I am very body conscious and have a negative attitude towards my appearance. When it came to my weddi...
ng, I knew that photography was essential so it was important that I felt comfortable around my photographer. I wanted to feel at ease so I could enjoy my day to the fullest and Lorna made that incredibly easy!
I would say that out of the entire wedding planning process, Lorna was the best decision I made. She is incredibly talented and from day one, I knew that I could put my trust in her. She finds a way to capture who you are as a person or as a couple in her photos and the love you share for one another. She has an excellent way of putting you at ease and making you feel comfortable, which is critical for those of us who don't typically stand in front of a camera! Overall her work speaks for itself! Her talent, experience, and calming personality make her an easy choice for anyone needing photography services.
My now husband and I really appreciate lifestyle photography, so when we booked Lorna we were excited to have someone we felt matched that style. But leading up to the wedding, I s...
uddenly got nervous - what if the wedding doesn't translate well on camera? What if all the candid shots are awkward? What if we look horrible because we didn't know a picture was being taken? Everyone else does more traditional photo shoots, shouldn't we?? Thankfully none of these fears came true; Lorna did an amazing job of capturing us and our guests at our finest. Everyone raved about how beautiful the photos were, and we felt like the emotion and joy of the day was perfectly captured.
We loved how Lorna just fit right in with the crowd. It was great to see her flitting about and making sure everything was captured on camera! She was also very hands off and let us go around and do what we needed to do on our own timing. But she also was sure to seize amazing opportunities. For example, at one point during the reception we were saying hello to guests, and Lorna came up to us and said she needed us to come with her NOW. We didn't ask questions, and when Lorna led us outside it was to see the most amazing sunset ever. Thanks to her awareness and diligence, we were able to capture a truly beautiful moment we might have otherwise missed.
We would have no problem recommending Lorna to even our closest friends! Lorna did a great job from the very beginning. From her flexibility with pricing to accommodating our budget, her willingness to travel, and all around excellent execution, it was a pleasure working with her!
