Tara was a fantastic wedding planner and coordinator. She made our daughter's dream wedding a reality. Her contacts with venues, caterers, florists, etc were a huge help. Made for such a low stress 14 months, and we received so many compliments from guests about the wedding. Wow, where to begin! I cannot even begin to imagine what the wedding planning process would have been like without working with Brit from Lotus Events. The moment I first spoke with her during our first call, I knew she was the one to help make my wedding planning dreams come true. She was by my side every single step of the way. I tend to be a pretty soft-spoken person when it comes to voicing what I like and don't like, and Brit was always the most intentional listener. I never once felt like I made a decision that wasn't fully MY decision. She was my voice when I was a little timid with vendors. She was always working to answer my questions, no matter how small. When they say something WILL go a little rogue on your wedding day, this couldn't be more true. But Brit was always a step ahead yet by my side the whole time. She was a calming voice when I most needed it. It's been two months since my wedding, and we are still getting compliments on how detailed, beautiful, smoothly run, yet US our wedding was. Brit wasn't only another vendor we worked with, my whole entire family grew so fond of her! If ever given the opportunity to work with Lotus events, DO IT.

Without Tara at Lotus Events I’m not sure how our wedding would have turned out!! She helped me every step of the way starting from hiring vendors, communicating with those vendors, and the day of. WOW!!! I don't even know where to start with Tara Blackwell from Lotus Events. I first want to start by saying there would be absolutely no way we would have gotten through this time without her. Anytime I had a question (even 11 months out) she provided a quick response. As it got closer to the wedding, she made herself readily available to meet us or join us for meetings. This was extremely important since we were getting married outside of where we lived. I have been in many weddings who have wedding planners and Tara has hands down been the best. Even everyone in my wedding party, family, etc loved her and respected her. The way she can take charge and control of situations while still being calm and composed is amazing. It is exactly what a Bride needs on her wedding day. I think it is one of the main reasons I was able to remain so calm and still enjoy, even when our rehearsal was completely rained out and were unable to practice before the big day. I knew she had everything under control. I also cannot fail to mention how well she knew her stuff. There was not a question I asked where she did not have a well thought out and helpful answer. Also, another huge thing is my husband even loved her as much as I did. She was the perfect balance of both of us, so was able to communicate on both our levels which was great. Tara Blackwell was a phenomenal wedding planner for our Spring 2023 wedding at Laguna Gloria in Austin. She had previously done Laguna for two weddings before ours, and was so helpful in helping us with the layout and timeline that worked best for this venue. She is such a genuinely sweet and calm person, she immediately put at ease and kept everything low-stress. Highly, highly recommend!

I hired Lotus Events to help me plan & coordinate a rehearsal dinner. The event took place in a city that is not my home. Tara, owner of Lotus Events is extremely professional & knowledgeable about every aspect of special event planning. When Tara found herself unsure about answering a certain question she would research the issue and respond to the extended vendor group & me asap. When tension arose with one of my vendors she was the coolest mediator & helped get planning back on track. All troubles were in the rearview mirror. As details were confirmed & the rehearsal dinner was only a few days away, I talked with Tara to tell her that I planned to be a guest at my own event. I was able to enjoy the evening & our guests as Tara looked after every detail. There is simply no way I could have organized and orchestrated the event I wanted without Tara/Lotus Events.

Tara helped coordinate the complicated shuttle pick up/drop off schedule and made sure all guests had a ride for all wedding weekend events. Her wonderful relationship with other vendors makes communication and coordination work seamlessly. She really went above and beyond to ensure our vision was met and every little detail was perfect on our special day. We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Tara! Tara worked with us and provided full planning services for over a year and we could not have been happier! She made the entire process so easy and each month, we would expect to be running around with lots of tasks, but that never happened. We were able to truly enjoy our engagement and create our dream wedding within our budget. At the start of each month, she would give us a checklist and review of everything we had completed. We had a budget spreadsheet that was up-to-date and she was very prompt in answering any and all questions. Our parents all live out-of-state and we were not sure how we would get everything done, but Tara made sure everything came together and everyone was up to date. She offered great advice and was always excited and ready to pump up everyone else. Our family and friends were so impressed with the wedding and kept gushing over how nice our wedding planner was. I am a Knot vendor (DJ) and worked alongside Tara the day and night of my friends wedding on 9.17.22 . Tara is an incredible coordinator, and I can say after working with so many that she is one of the best! From ceremony to last dance, we were on the same page all day long. Tara is AMAZING!!! she is calm and cool but super organized!!!! Whenever I would get stressed she would be so calming and do whatever I needed help with!! She not only helped from the beginning with vendors, etc. she even pinned up my bustle that kept falling the day of my wedding. The day of my wedding she made sure everything was set up and went smoothly and I didn’t have to handle anything!! She truly does it all and I never felt like a bother asking her for anything. TARA is the REAL MVP! Seriously! We could not have planned this wedding without her and sure as heck could not have pulled off our rainy day wedding without her either. We don’t have the words to say what a fabulous job Tara did with our wedding. She helped us reach our vision with huge bang for the buck. She also helped us stay on track with all the vendors, payments, as my daughter was in school out of state. We could not have done it without her!

Tara from Lotus Events was truly amazing as our month-of wedding planner!!! We met Tara at our best friends wedding over a year ago and immediately knew we wanted her at our wedding one day! She was always a phone call/text away during the planning process, she spoke up for us and was the middle man with our venue coordinator, she went and picked up our cake morning of wedding so we didn’t have to pay a delivery fee, she had her assistant go and get my veil that I forgot at my HOUSE(25 mins away ) so I could have it for pictures 😭, she made sure we ate at the reception… when the bar line was getting long and she could tell I was stressing about it she immediately went to help, she packed up our getaway car with all of our belongings, she made sure we had FUN… and SO SO much more!!! I can’t say enough good things about Tara.. you know when the guests at your wedding notice how good your planner is you picked a good one!! Highly highly recommend.

Tara is the best of the best. We had her for the month of our wedding and she went to every meeting and is worth every penny. She made it so that our wedding day/night went smoothly... legit nothing went wrong. She did it all. Running around all day helping set up, talking to all the vendors, cueing us when to walk, bussled my dress, the list could go on and on. Not only is she amazing at her job but she is the sweetest soul. Honestly, my whole family won't stop talking about how wonderful she is and how much she helped out for the wedding.

I had the privilege and great luck to find Tara during our wedding planning process. She was an absolute blessing throughout our planning process and the day of. We had countless challenges thrown our way, from a COVID cancellation and re-scheduling to having to make a multi-state move for the military, throwing all of our previous plans out the window. Tara was an incredible support through all of it. She went above and beyond to help us and keep us calm (which was no easy feat). She helped us navigate vendor negotiations and contracts, planning challenges, and even provided incredibly helpful advice on extended family issues. I can't recommend her enough to other military couples- she was beyond helpful and understanding of the different restrictions that military life placed on us. If you want to do things out of the ordinary, Tara's your go-to! We wanted something a bit different from the big, white wedding and Tara was so supportive of all of it along the way. Tara was an absolute dream on the day of, keeping everything running smoothly, precisely on time, and without a single hiccup! I was able to let go of the worry about details that day as I knew Tara was on top of all of them. In addition to her incredible professional skills, she has a lovely demeanor and personality that will put you at ease whenever you talk to her. Our party members and our guests adored her! She was a joy to work with, and I'm forever thankful that she was a part of our day. I cannot recommend her highly enough! If you want incredible planning and coordinating services from an even more incredible person, look no further. Tara is truly a gem.

Tara is THE BEST! She's so easy to work with and on top of everything. I used her for month-of wedding coordination and am so glad I did. Her response rate is fantastic! Her best quality is her demeanor - she is so calm and down-to-earth it puts you entirely at ease! For day-of coordination, Tara was at the ready to handle anything. About an hour before our ceremony was set to begin, an actual fire started in our reception area - she handled the entire thing before I could even stress out about it. (All was fine!) If you need a coordinator (spoiler: you do), Tara should be your choice!

Tara is truly the best planner a gal could ask for (especially one that is relatively type A 😉). Her calm, relaxed and composed demeanor is incredible. I found that she was especially amazing at listening to my needs/hopes for the wedding, and then making sure those needs were met by thorough, consistent communication with all of my vendors and always asking all the right questions. I couldn’t have hosted the wedding of my dreams without her.

Tara is fantastic all around. She has a great attitude and she is always really quick to respond. I felt relaxed the day of because I knew I could rely on her completely. Hiring Lotus Events was the best decision we made for our wedding! Tara was great to work with from the very start. She always provided her honest opinion and gave great recommendations based on her experience. She was available throughout the wedding planning process to answer any and all of my questions. She was a pleasure to work with. The month of she managed all communications to the many vendors we had, which took a lot of stress off of me! She was extremely organized and thoughtful in her process. We had planned an outdoor ceremony and reception with tents covering the reception area in case of rain. It started pouring minutes before our ceremony and our guests rushed to the tented reception area. For 15 or so minutes we were going back and forth on where we would have the ceremony and Tara was literally running from the ceremony site to the reception site carrying chairs and organizing the guests and vendors. The rain was not stopping so we shifted our schedule to allow for cocktail hour to be the initial event, followed by the ceremony (hoping the rain would stop). Tara quickly communicated the change to the vendors and guests and got everyone moving. As soon as it stopped raining, we rushed everyone down to the ceremony site to begin the ceremony. The whole schedule got shifted and moved around and it could have been a chaotic nightmare, but Tara handled it so well that everything ran smoothly and the night turned out better than we could have imagined (rain and all). I would highly recommend Tara and Lotus Events for any and all of your wedding planning needs! Tara really goes above and beyond!

I cannot say enough great things about Tara! I knew from the start that I would not have the expertise, time, or desire to plan a large wedding, no less during COVID. We had the pleasure of working with Tara for an additional year thanks to COVID :) She made sure that every last detail and every single minute of the day was accounted for. She did a great job of listening us and making recommendations based on what WE wanted, not what was expected of us or what is tradition. Each meeting she came prepared and organized and was able to take so much off of my plate. She was extremely quick to respond and stayed on top of all of our timelines and due dates. When we had to reschedule our wedding, she helped us come up with the best plan of action and worked with each vendor to find a new date that everyone was available. Most importantly, she made sure I always had a cold glass of wine in hand. I would have a wedding again just so I can work with Tara.

Wedding during a Pandemic ! Tara was present during the whole logistic and emotional process of the wedding. Tara was quick to respond to all of my (many) questions and made herself available to jump on phone calls too. When COVID hit, I was very anxious and unsure what to do. Tara eased my stress and calmed my anxious heart. She handled all vendor communication - making sure everyone was ready to go still. She provided relieve each time we spoke/saw her. When the big day arrived, I knew everything was going to be great because of Tara. On the day of she was in/out and managing all the moving parts. Tara is amazing we love her! She took care of everything. The whole event went perfectly she even helped get everything back into our room after the wedding. Approximately 10 months after our wedding, we still get compliments about how beautiful it was and we still rave about Tara. Me and my wife decided that we need a wedding planner because we were extremely busy at work, we are not planners with fair organization skills, and we were ~325 miles away. It was worth it! Tara took care literally of everything in a calm, organized, professional, and friendly-warm way. She guided us through monthly check-ins with everything- picking and communicating with our awesome vendors, vision planning, budget and payment management, rehearsal dinner, and just the overall. We had fun during our wedding, we danced and celebrated all night, and she just took care of everything. We really didn't know if there was a delay and/or any changes, she made sure we were taken care of and everything was so smooth in our point of view. We had the most beautiful memory that we will cherish forever and we give all the credit to her. With that we are forever grateful, she gave us a beautiful wedding. Ohh and she gave us an awesome gift too! She got our wedding pictures featured in a magazine, Brides of Austin. We thought that was so cool! :)

My spouse and I came to Tara in a time of need, when our wedding venue coordinator quit and the venue was struggling to hire a new coordinator. We are so glad we came across Tara, she responded very quickly to our inquiry and we had our first phone call that same week (on a Saturday even, right before she was about to work a different event). This is pretty much how Tara was the whole time we worked with her: quick, responsive, and approachable. We clicked almost immediately, we felt as if a friend were managing our wedding rather than someone we had just met. The day of our wedding could not have gone smoother. If something went wrong, we know nothing about it. Tara kept the event moving along on schedule skillfully without being pushy and it seemed like she was having fun celebrating with us as much as everyone else. As a full time performer I get to interact with many event/wedding planners and unfortunately I have to say that more than a few times the the amount of responsibilities on the Day of the event creates a level of stress which gets the best of them. Working with Tara was, without a doubt, a huge “Breath of fresh air“… From the very beginning of my interaction with her, she was not just professional and quick to reply but also made me feel as if I was the most important of the vendors she was dealing with on the event. It was evident throughout our phone calls and emails that she was on top of things and even went above and beyond what would normally be “expected of her” just to make sure my interaction with the Couple/Clients was as smooth as possible. As if this weren’t enough… Just to “Put the cherry on the cake“ I have to say that I was utterly impressed to see how well coordinated and beautifully set up everything was the day of the wedding. She definitely “Run a tight ship“ and, every time I had to approach her for help, she gave me her full attention… Always with a Warm and Genuine Smile which never seemed to fade away. Above expectations in every aspect!! Tara was accessible and responsive to every detail leading up to, during and after my daughter’s wedding. She worked so well with the venue, catering, music, the photographer, the Cakery ppl and too many to name! I would highly recommend and will use Lotus again for another event. Her experience and advice proved invaluable when we were stuck on options and she came in with marvelous advice! She was definitely my daughter’s and my go-to! Loved working with them, very professional. It started to pour rain right before the outdoor ceremony and they managed the transition to the chapel seamlessly and efficiently in lock step. They missed nothing.

Tara is the absolute best wedding coordinator in the wedding industry!! My wedding was the most stress-free day of my life thanks to Tara. One of my best friends works in the wedding industry and had suggested hiring Tara because he claimed she was the best coordinator he had ever worked with. He was 100% accurate because she truly is the greatest. She never ever made me feel like just another client, but really made me feel special. She cares deeply about her job and she is so dang good at what she does. We hired Tara as our day-of coordinator and if our budget allowed, we hands down would have hired her for the entire planning process. She even came with me to my final walk through and was so meticulous in making sure she knew exactly what I wanted. Her services were the best money spent out of all the wedding expenses and I truly mean it. I was able to enjoy my entire wedding and have an absolute blast because I knew Tara would take care of anything and everything that happened. All of my family members even couldn't stop talking about how wonderful she was! As soon as the wedding party arrived at the reception venue, Tara found my husband and I with drinks in hand for us and made sure catering brought up food for us before our grand entrance. While I was dancing, a part of my bustle broke and within a minute Tara was right there with safety pins fixing it. If you are considering hiring a professional coordinator, you will never regret hiring Tara - you NEED her! Tara was an absolute blessing! She was such a source of calmness and wisdom. Her attention to detail was important to us and her experience helped to guide us. Tara is the BEST!!! I had her as a month/day of coordinator and I'm so glad I did. She made sure I hadn't missed any important or minor details. The day of the wedding, while I was busy getting ready, she completely made sure all the vendors were on time and taken care of. I vaguely discussed with her how I wanted the reception area set up and left the rest up to her. It was above and beyond anything I could have dreamt of!!! That whole way was a breeze and its all thanks to Tara!

Wow. Where can I even begin?! My florist didn’t show up until 20 minutes before my ceremony and nothing would’ve been done without Tara. She was an absolute life saver. She was out there wrapping greenery around things that needed some lovin’ while at the same time making sure everything stayed organized with other venors. Guests started to arrive during this chaos and she redirected them to the cocktail hour area so that they didn’t see the flowerless ceremony area. She was an absolute star and my wedding day would’ve been a complete disaster without her. When I obviously wanted to freak out she did her best to calm me & I trusted that she would do everything she could to make it turn out okay, & it did. I highly, highly recommend Tara. I’ve seen her in the most chaotic setting ever & she is the best in the biz!! Love you Tara!!!

I reached out to Tara for day of coordination services and she explained to me that the coordinator is not only day of but is involved throughout the process of planning to be effective. Right away we hit it off and I trusted her experience and her calm demeanor. She was absolutely right! She took the reigns immediately reaching out to all our vendors and coordinating the sequence of events. My brother had recently gotten married and warned my husband and I that nothing goes as planned on your wedding day. He was absolutely wrong because thanks to Tara we had the funnest and most carefree time which allowed us to fully enjoy and be present on our wedding day. She organized everything so that the flow of a complex event was orchestrated perfectly. I can't possibly say enough great things about Tara. Her personality is also perfect for brides who are ocd like myself because she is such a pleasant, calming force that tells you everything will be ok and it was!! I thought it was a luxury to hire a coordinator but in retrospect I think it's the best and most critical choice you can make and Tara was the best!
