Owner Georgette is passionate about memorializing a couple’s big day through unique, emotional photos. With her love for non-traditional themes and aesthetics, she will work to capture your unique love story in an eye-catching way. Georgette went deeper with her love for photography in 2004, when her daughter Lotus was born. After years of documenting Lotus' childhood, she began photographing her friends and family for their milestones. In 2012, Georgette launched Lotus Photography, which she named after her biggest inspiration. Georgette now happily works with couples throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC and beyond. Lotus Photography services weddings of all sizes, from intimate elopements to extravagant receptions. Georgette can accommodate an array of photo styles, including candid, photojournalistic, and artistic, to best match your nuptial theme. She loves the creative process, from helping you choose the best location for your engagement session, to helping with wedding details, she will customize your photography experience. Georgette's husband joins when a second Photographer or Videographer is needed, together they are the ultimate duo! Lotus Photography also offers Aerial Photography / Videography (Drone) and Photo Booth Rental for your event. From your proposal to your day-after sessions, Georgette will go above and beyond to give you a feeling of increase and an unforgettable experience.

In terms of areas for improvement, we did not have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator which led to some organizational mishaps. She prioritized a few shots we weren't expecting that came at the expense of ones we were, but overall we were very grateful to have her on our team for the big day. Oh. My. Goodness - this is a largely overdue review, but we wanted to make sure to share how wonderful our experiences were with Georgette from Lotus Photography!

s. At the time, we only wanted first look and ceremony photos (so maybe 3-4 hours), but seeing her work and getting to speak with her we quickly decided to book her for our Feb 2022 wedding for 6 hours plus an engagement shoot.
When we met in Oct 2021 to do our engagement shoot in Frederick (Baker Park) we knew immediately we had made the right decision. Georgette is incredibly professional, wastes absolutely no time, and periodically checks to make sure we were comfortable throughout the session.
Leading up to our wedding day, she maintained contact with me as needed, and was so incredibly patient on the day when I ended up being behind getting to the venue. She was also so encouraging and helped navigate a mild but tense moment that occurred toward the end of the night. She was incredible and talented.
She was able to capture some special moments throughout our day (I have one photo of the groomsmen excited about pockets that fills me with joy every time it pops up on our digital frame) and haven't been able to stop looking at our wedding album. Go with Georgette and Lotus Photography - you will not regret it!!

As long as I can remember, I have loved taking photos and the art of capturing a moment. My passion for photography grew when my daughter, Lotus, was born in 2004 and I began documenting her childhood with an eye toward catching each irreplaceable moment.
I love nature and art and exploring Virginia and the Washington DC area for those non traditionally beautiful or off-the-beaten path spots that we often overlook. I'm a huge animal lover and it's always super exciting when furry babies join a wedding day or session!
