Lotus Threads in Tuckahoe is truly a gem when it comes to bridal shopping. From the moment I walked in, they all made me feel like part of the family, creating such a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Maribel, Sophia, & Rita & Nassar were all incredibly helpful as well, guiding me through the selection process all being part of designing my ideal dress. They had the utmost patience and care. All of their expertise was invaluable—they all had such a sharp eye for what works and gave me honest, thoughtful advice that helped me narrow down my choices.
What I appreciated most was their ability to work within my tight timeline. With only three months until my wedding, I was nervous about getting everything ready in time, but the team at Lotus Threads was able to get everything done without compromising quality. The design and alteration team were exceptional, and my dress turned out absolutely perfect—comfortable, beautiful, and exactly what I had dreamed of for my special day. Thank you, Nasser, Maribel, Sophia, Rita, and any one else I am missing. You all made this process so smooth and stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for a better bridal experience. I never dreamed about my wedding growing up and I definitely didn't have any clue as to what my dress would look like. I found a dress on line that I loved and it happened to be from Lotus threads.
I had only been to 1 other shop and didn't find anything I liked. When I walked into Lotus Threads the space was fun and elegant. Des helped me pick out some dresses and found the one I liked from online. During my try on Maribel, the designer, walked out while I was in "my dress" and she answered all of my questions.
Their selection of stunning dresses has something for everyone. I love that she caters to the non traditional bride. I wanted something as quirky and unique as I am. I didn't want just another wedding dress.
I highly recommend Maribel and her team! That make dreams come true, literally!
Amazing group of people at Lotus Threads with so much talent. I worked very closely with Maribel to pick up the dress of my dreams. The selection is very varied at the store from traditional to modern to fairytale. There is definitely a style for every bride. I was able to try on a lot of the dresses and compare what I saw on the photoshoots on their instagram. The quality is superb and looks just as good on the model as on yourself :D
I picked a slightly modern take on wedding dresses and the beading on the bodice is really detailed and beautiful. I also did my alterations there and fitting/making appointments was a breeze. I really enjoyed the personal touch of a boutique versus large bridal stores, because I felt that we had bonded over the 1 year of the making of my wedding dress.
I fully trusted Maribel in making suggestions for the alterations and the tucked in bustle. The price for alterations are very fair and less costly than large bridal stores in the city.
I fully recommend Lotus Threads and their team for any future brides and wedding party/mother of the bride or groom gowns/dresses.
