Everyone at the wedding commented on the string quartet. They were wonderful
I highly recommend Louisville Wedding Music! Working with Jack in preparation for my wedding was so enjoyable and I really appreciated his expertise. He answered many of my questions and he was a fantastic source for planning music for such an important part of the wedding day.
The ceremony music was absolutely phenomenal at my wedding. I was blown away at how well my vision became a reality. The musicians followed my requests and made sure the music flowed with the ceremony seamlessly. It was perfect!
We all know there is no such thing as a perfect wedding, but the Louisville Wedding Music trio that played at my daughter’s ceremony was perfect! I could give at least one complaint on every vendor we hired EXCEPT for these musicians! From the start, Jack was wonderful to deal with. Since our budget only allowed for 3 musicians, he made suggestions on what he thought would sound the best. We decided on flute, keyboard and cello. This combination gave us a beautiful, rich, fuller sound than I suspect we would have gotten from 3 string instruments (which we originally asked about). The musicians were on time, professional and friendly....and the music sounded absolutely lovely. Not one single complaint about them. A friend whose daughter is getting married next year has already asked for their contact information. You can’t go wrong with Louisville Wedding Music. Outstanding!
We hired a string quartet for our wedding ceremony & a jazz duo for our cocktail hour. They did a wonderful job performing. Only hiccup we ran into was at the ceremony. The quartet showed up a few minutes late and then did not know how many grandparents, bridesmaids, etc. would be walking down the aisle, even though all the information had been provided to them previously. My wedding coordinator had to stand in the back waving her arms of when to start & stop playing. Luckily, I was unaware of this until after the ceremony. But all-in-all, they did a beautiful job.
The music was beautiful and the cantor was breathtaking. So happy to have this addition on my wedding day!
Live, beautiful music played for the ceremony was one of the best choices made for my daughter’s wedding. Professional musicians from The Louisville Orchestra- wow!
Thank you for making our special day extra special!
As someone who works in the wedding industry I have had the pleasure of working with Jack and his team on several occasions. So, when it came time for my own wedding I knew that I had to have Louisville Wedding Music be part of it! The music for my Catholic wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful. I’m still receiving compliments about the music at my wedding and couldn’t be happier that I booked with Louisville Wedding Music!
We hired a string trio to play our wedding and they sounded incredibly beautiful. We strayed from the traditional wedding music and made specific requests for Jack Griffin. He took it upon himself to get the sheet music, learn it and perform it perfectly. We highly recommend for any wedding!
Our guests were highly impressed with how amazing the quartet sounded! The musicians were timely, professional and most importantly they are incredibly talented!
I'm sure the music is beautiful but unfortunately I wasn't able to find that out for myself. I had emailed and left messages asking about transportation prices. After a few weeks I called during business hours and talked with jack. He said that he had gotten my emails and message but didn't respond because he knew he didn't want to do my wedding. It would have been better if he just emailed me back but he didn't. He said he didn't want to be selfish but wanted to keep his piano player available since my wedding is next October. He said it was a busy time and didn't want to waste resources on my wedding basically. I only wanted a piano but he insisted I stay on the phone because he was going to talk me into getting another instrument. I wouldn't recommend even trying to hire one instrument. Even though he has the option to do so.
Our ceremony music was beautiful under the guidance of Jack Griffin. Jack is very easy to work with and his vocalist was tasteful and classic.
Jack is amazing and I highly recommend him and the commonwealth musicians. I gave him my list of music choices with less than a month to go before the wedding and he learned and played them all beautifully!
He is super nice and very easy to work with!
The music for the ceremony was great (we chose a string quartet), but dealing with the organizer, Jack, was a bit tiresome.
Details were not entirely spelled out in the packet we received or online, and that caused some confusion in the process of deciding on musical selections, and he could have been more helpful during that process.
However, the day of went very well and the music sounded great!
Jack Griffin and his musicians sounded amazing at my wedding and it was a very classy night because of them
The string quartet did an amazing job for our ceremony. One of the musicians even gave up his chair for a near-fainting bridesmaid! The jazz band was a great addition to our cocktail hour and dinner reception. Price is nice also!
We used a cantor for our Catholic wedding mass from Jack Griffin's group. I had a little bit of trouble getting in touch with Jack but after a few voicemails and emails, I got a response. The cantor had a lovely voice. Overall, I was pleased with this service and would recommend them.
Showed up on time. Worked with us one what we wanted to play.
we had a harp and violin for our ceremony, and they were amazing!!!! i coouldnt have imagined my wedding without them
We used a vocalist and trumpet player for our Catholic Wedding Mass and oh my goodness they were perfect. People are still talking about the "voice of Ave Maria." Just perfect
I contacted Mr. Griffin a month before our wedding, when my original group was unable to provide the style of music I wanted for the ceremony prelude. He was more than accommodating, played exactly what I asked for, and even worked with our wedding-singer friend to add strings to our favorite songs. Very pleased! Would definitely recommend.
The string quartet sounded amazing at my wedding. They played all of our requests even if it was not on their list. We provided them will all of the music we wanted played and they did it. Easy to work with and very well known all over Louisville. They are very professional and talented.
Even though I don't remember hearing a lot on my wedding day - The ceremony music was beautiful. It was just what my mother wanted!
They added elegance to our ceremony and cocktail hour!
I had a trio of a violin, cello and keyboard. They played for both our ceremony and for our reception as we did not hire a band or dj. It was perfect for the feel we were looking for and the music was beautiful. They even played a special request. I simply checked with the coordinator, Jack Griffin, if that song was ok about 2 months before the wedding and they played a beautiful instrumental version of "So This Is Love" for our first dance.
Commonwealth plays beautiful music. Communication was poor at times, which resulted in a little confusion at the ceremony. Overall, these musicians are very talented.
Very professional and very talented
I enjoyed having live music at my ceremony, and Commonwealth did a great job.
I hired just a trumpet for my ceremony and he was amazing. My organist was a little pushy and he took it all in stride. Definately one of the highlights of the ceremony!
Jack Griffin of Commonwealth Musicians was very professional and eased our stress of music selection for the ceremony. We had a Harp, Violin, Cello trio and it was a beautiful combination. I can't imagine walking down the isle to anything else! If you have the budget for it, you should consider live music for the ceremony.
I actually feel bad that I did not have the chance to personally thank them on my wedding day. They were reliable and played beautifully. Jack was great about responding to my e-mails. In fact, I requested a song they did not typically play. They acquired the sheet music and performed my requested song without any fuss. My husband actually said he was grateful we chose to take the plunge and hire musicians for the ceremony- They added to the feel we hoped to create for our special day.
Professional, and they can play ANYTHING you request. They were AMAZING!
Wonderful music, easy to work with, prompt, experienced. Couldn't have asked for more. Competitve pricing as well.
Great experience. Jack and his staff were wonderful. Music was good and the musician was very pleasant.
My mom chose to book a harpist for my ceremony after hearing a String Quartet from Commonwealth Musicians at a Bridal Show we attended. We were able to pass our song selections on to Jack Griffin and his harpist was able to accomodate them. She played them beautifully, and smoothly transitioned from one song to the next. She was on time and I received many comliments on the sounds of the harp at the ceremony.
This was the perfect touch to our ceremony. We used the quartet, and added in a trumpet. The music was very classy and elegant. The trumpet announced me as I entered, and everything felt perfect. Very professional musicians!
Jack Griffin and the Commonwealth Musicians...DO NOT even attempt to book them. After several e-mails to Mr. Griffin, I gave up. I never heard back from him. We had to scramble to locate other ceremony musicians, and what do you know, we found college students that were experienced and reliable. So Mr. Griffin, if I could give you and your group a negative rating, I damn well would!
String quartet + pianist. Played everything I asked and did a fantastic job. Professional on time and very talented.
