I genuinely enjoyed my experience thanks to the kindness and knowledge of the Loulette team. My final wedding dress was completely my style, and quite honestly, the most beautiful garment I have ever had in my closet! I wanted something less “traditional” for my gown, and I found that here with ease, but I can honestly say that ANY person looking for a bridal outfit can create their dream look with the Loulette team. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone!

Marteal, Sanaa, Nedim, and Jillian are down-to-earth, fun, and supportive of all bridal customers and their visions for their weddings. I loved playing dress-up with Marteal at my first designer appointment, though I was pretty zeroed-in on the Jordan. Sanaa and Nedim were lovely to work with for my fittings and were so welcoming to my mom and my future sisters-in-law. And Jillian made all of the communications and scheduling so easy! Depending on your budget, price may be a factor, but Loulette has a range of options and for me personally the value of working with such a kind and talented team, not to mention avoiding the time spent shopping around when I didn't want that kind of experience, was well worth it. o wonderful to work with. My dress came out great and was so comfortable all day and night. The only thing that went wrong was one of the bustle loops broke during the night and it took a while to try to rig it back together. One of my bustle loops was moved in my last appointment so perhaps it was that one? They did offer to repair it but I had already sent the gown for cleaning and I'm assuming it will be an easy fix for a seamstress near me. Overall, I highly recommend going here. I already have two friends who purchased gowns from here right after me!

I was very, very confident that my dress was at Loulette - but it did not end up being the one that I thought it was going to be! I LOVE my dress. I had the most incredible experience with Loulette Bridal when I got married last year. After gaining weight during the pandemic and dealing with the loss of my father, I was concerned about dress sizing and how it might affect my love for the dress. However, Marteal and her team were absolute gems and handled the situation with the utmost care and professionalism. Marteal, who was present when I chose the dress, ensured that the focus remained on my love for the gown rather than any numerical size. (I still don't know what size my dress is and that is for the best.) Throughout the fittings, Jillian and the exceptional seamstress (whose name unfortunately slipped my mind) provided invaluable support and expertise, making the fitting process smooth and enjoyable while Marteal was on maternity leave. kind experience. I think other bridal shops can easily make you feel like just another customer and boil you down to cost and timeline. But definitely not here. Their dresses are hand made, with the ability to make customizations, the designs are so lovely and unique, and not to mention their whole operation is eco and equality conscious, mission driven, and fairly priced. From my initial appointment to my final fitting, Marteal and Jillian were so supportive, easygoing and genuinely excited with me. I also added a couple custom items to the dress - everything was according to schedule and swiftly done. d vibes instantly. There was a DJ playing, bubbles being poured, people chatting -- and I saw a rack of gowns that I started to thumb through. There she was, my dress. It was the first one I pulled out to get a good look at, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a dressing room. Someone said "go ahead and try it on," which I didn't know was possible -- I genuinely thought the event was just a hang. I'm so glad I did. It was my dress immediately. I came out, stood in front of the mirror and felt myself get so full of love. I turned around and people were taking my photo, and talking about how perfect it was. I didn't even see them at first -- I was in my own world, just my dress and I. Marteal came over and pinned me up in the back. I realized she was the designer about 5 minutes in. The designer herself was fitting me? I mean, how cool is that? She had ideas on how we could customize, told me I wouldn't have to fuss with a tailor and that she would take care of everything with her team. My shoulders went down about 10 inches. This was nothing like my other appointments, where I was rushed or pushed, told I was running out of time and how hard tailors are to find. There was so much ease. I had a Kleinfeld's appointment coming up the following week and I really wanted to go (just in case), so I put the dress back on the rack and took Marteal's card. I promised myself I'd be back if I didn't find something at the Say Yes To The Dress HQ at the sample sale -- and I didn't, in fact, it was my personal hell. So, I went back to Loulette to say "I FUCKING DO" with my bestie, over champagne, as I befriended the sweet Loulette dog, who was there for moral support. Putting the dress back on made me so sure. Nothing else like it even exists. I can only get it at Loulette and that feels so special. When I learned a tree would be planted in my name and that a donation would be made to abortion funds, that just sealed the deal. My maid of honor joked, "it's like you birthed this bridal shop and it came from your body." That's exactly how I feel. I can't wait to serve Loulette realness on my wedding day. Looking forward to my fitting and being with the team again -- they have made getting my dress feel purposeful, stress-free and truly beautiful.

Loulette cares about the folks who try on and buy their dresses. I love that they are body type inclusive, use responsible materials, and donate a portion to the proceeds to a progressive cause. Internet looking for one. I must have scrolled through thousands of images of bridal looks across Pinterest, various designers, and vintage shops with little interest in anything I found. It wasn’t until I finally found a pair of off-white wide leg pants online, that I thought I could explore custom bridal wear. I searched online for custom bridal designers in the NYC/Brooklyn area, and came across Loulette Bride and was immediately drawn to the “vibe” of the website, images of the warm and cozy salon, and the variety of the looks and fabrics from the selection of pre-designed dresses. A friend and I went to Greenpoint to meet Marteal. The salon is as beautiful and inviting in person as it looks online. All I needed to do was share a few thoughts of the look I was going for and some pictures from Pinterest for her to totally get the vision. She immediately got to sketching right away and within 20 minutes we had the look. From there, we went over to the dresses she had already made to get of sense of the different fabrics that would work for the custom bodysuit. I was in awe of her creativity and ability to take an idea I had in my mind and bring it to life. We created this look together that I absolutely love and could have never found online, ever after spending what felt like hundreds of hours looking for. To top it off, the pants I bought online had pockets (yay) but the fabric was a bit see through for a wedding. We thought we would have to remove the pockets but Marteal came up with a solution to add a thin liner to the pants which allowed me to keep the pockets! When you’re working with Marteal it feels like you’re hanging with a friend, who is genuinely as excited for your special day as you are. She sent me home with a colored sketch of me in my full look which I’ve since framed. I love my custom bridal bodysuit – it’s a timeless piece that I’ll get to wear again. I couldn’t sing more praises for Loulette Bride, highly recommend!

hat I wanted for a wedding dress, and I was super overwhelmed at the prospect of figuring it out. But from my first visit to Loulette to try on dresses I immediately felt comfortable and excited instead of stressed out. The space is beautiful, Marteal (designer/owner) and her small team of women are all extremely encouraging, knowledgeable and full of style. Marteal's dog (Mable!) was there and for me that was also a huge comfort factor. I probably tried on 20 of their gowns because it was so hard not to. I ultimately landed on THE ONE and could not wait until I was able to visit their studio again to try it on. In between that first appointment and my first fitting, Marteal and team were great with communications and by the time I was finally able to get my hands on it, I was thrilled. On top of the beauty of the experience and the GORGEOUS dress I ended up wearing for my wedding, knowing this is a small, women-owned local business (I can see their window from my apartment) that makes a ton of effort to give back, uses their platform to promote social justice issues, and cares more about sustainability than any wedding dress designer I came across, made me feel like I had made the perfect decision. I honestly wish I could get married every year just to keep supporting this business and trying on their gorgeous new lines that are out now. GO TO LOULETTE - YOU WILL NOT REGRET (it).

If there were more strapless options I definitely would have purchased from them! The dresses are BEAUTIFUL, comfortable and ethically sourced. I recently went in for my alterations appointment, and even though 1 year had passed since my initial try on, the attention to detail and service had not changed. Marteal was super friendly (her dog was also in studio, a big perk!) and took great care in making sure the dress fit perfectly. She didn't rush me, even as I called out a few additional adjustments I'd like to make. I felt really well taken care of, and can't wait to see the final product! I'd 100% recommend Martel + Loulette Bride for any future brides out there - her dresses are unmatched, if only by her service!

e place for you. From my first fitting, which I had to go totally alone because of covid, Marteal opened her doors like an old friend and I got to live out my 90s movie fitting room montage. She let me go over time, gave me her feedback when asked, and basically emotionally supported me, which is what every new bride needs in the process because it's scary knowing you're going to spend a lot of money on a dress and Marteal knew that. I knew right away going into this fitting that I would find my dream dress here and that I did. Not only did I find my dream dress, each dress is made to order and you can customize ANYTHING you want . In my instance, I made the train longer, and adjusted my slip. Things I hadn't even thought about but Marteal remembered a comment I made earlier on in our appointment and reminded me of. I also knew that I didn't want to do an outfit change but have some sort of fun reveal and the fringe jacket I got as well here did JUST that. Also something to note was my dress was all of 5 lbs- it was so light and fit comfortable the whole night even after dancing for hours upon hours. The dress was perfect. Also knowing that this beautiful piece of clothing donated money to an organization I am passionate about and planted a tree means the world to me. So Congratulations you're getting married!
