I donāt usually leave reviews, but after my experience, I felt compelled to share. I ordered a custom Louis Vuitton-themed cake from Love and Cake by Sarah for my motherās surprise...
birthday party. Based on Sarahās positive reviews and photos of her previous work, I was confident the cake would turn out beautifully, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
I sent Sarah reference photos for the design, assuming she would use the traditional brown and gold Louis Vuitton color scheme. However, the cake I received was cream-colored with small gold accents far from what I expected but thought itās fine long as the LV around the sides of the cake is brown.
Worse, part of the Louis Vuitton print on more than half the side was purple. When I called her immediately after pickup and still parked in-front of her home, she admitted that her edible printer ran out of ink but she didnāt inform me beforehand. Instead, she suggested I angle the brown side of the cake for my mom to see, which she did the same to me before pick up sent picture of the cake angled to see the brown LV and I found unprofessional and deceptive.
At the party, I noticed more issues:
1. My motherās name was cut off due to a lack of space.
2. The calendar design I requested had the 29th and 30th only half-printed.
3. The white edges of the printed Louis Vuitton design were visible making it obvious that itās printed.
For a cake that cost $165 and was meant to feed 6-8 people, I expected much better attention to detail and professionalism. While Sarah did offer a full refund if I returned the cake, I couldnāt go without a cake for my motherās special day, which was in a few hours. She also offered to make a cake for my daughterās birthday to make up for the mistakes. I havenāt gotten a response from the my email I sent to her over 2 weeks now.
In the end, while the cake had potential, the execution fell short, and Iām disappointed with the lack of transparency and honesty. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

eone who could incorporate this into a cake for our wedding. We did a lot of searching online, but so many of the cakes we found that were meant to look like tree carvings were so fake looking. Sarah made our vision a reality! Her attention to detail and the way she was able to make our cake look like a real tree was unlike any other vendor we could find. Other cake vendors didnāt even come close to being comparable to Sarahās cakes. Her cakes truly look like works of art. Not only was our cake perfect, but Sarah was also very friendly and easy to work with. She invited us to attend a tasting of 12 different flavors of her cakes. We were able to pick what flavors we wanted for each tier of our 4-tier cake. It was so difficult to choose only 4 flavors because all her cakes tasted amazing. She also provided us champagne to enjoy during our tasting, which was very thoughtful!
Sarah also went above and beyond by helping navigate through some extra booking requirements that our venue needed from our vendors, and she truly was so great to work with! She also drove 2+ hours to deliver our cake to our venue just outside of Sedona, which was so appreciated!
Most importantly, our cake was delicious. Since we wanted a large/tall cake to portray our tree carving, the cake we purchased was meant to serve 120 guests, but we only had 80 guests. We figured weād be bringing a lot of leftover cake home after the wedding, but the entire cake was eaten! It was so good that many guests were going back for a second slice! It is rare to find a cake that tastes as good as it looks, and Sarah exceeded our expectations.

cess. During our private tasting, Sarah provided us with coffee and other beverages if we wanted them. She took pictures of us during the cake tasting (I asked if she would take pictures). We tasted 12 different cakes that she made just for us. Each cake was divine and perfectly made. As we got closer to the wedding Sarah checked to see how my wedding planning was going (Yes, The planning ladies, not the cake). Sarah later checked in on the cake we exchanged pictures, conformed guest numbers, and discussed gluten-free opinions. On the day of the wedding, she personally delivered our cake about 45 minutes before the wedding started just as we requested. Words can not explain how beautiful our cake was, It was breathtaking and the flavors were everything and more. Working with Sarah was a breath of fresh air and anyone planning a wedding should use Love and Cake. I will be using them again in the future.

What really exceeded our expectations was not only that the cake was a beautiful and classy piece of edible art but she offers (and encourages) choosing several flavors for the cake. ecified that the ceremony started at 4:30pm and needed the cake delivered by noon, but a misunderstanding resulted in a delivery of 4:20pm. There were a few back and forth calls that day to inquire about the delay, but with little resolution. I was reached out to after the service to give feedback on the experience and Sarah handled it very well. Had she not reached out I would review this differently and while it caused stress dealing with the delay in the end everything worked out well. Given Sarah's honesty and understanding, it seemed like an honest mistake. I'm willing to try Love and Cake again because after all, the cake itself was delicious and enjoyed by the entire party and Sarah was pleasant to talk to even while dealing with a complaint. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them makes a big difference.

She was quick to answer my initial contact. I explained to her that it was for my niece and nephew's wedding. She hooked them up with a tasting and with her help, my niece and nephew came up with some awesome flavor combo's. Plus Sarah created a small gluten-free cake to serve as well. The wedding was on November 13th, 2021 and the cake was so beautiful. Not only was gorgeous but tasted exceptional. The bride and groom were quite pleased. I checked tables to see how much cake was left on the serving plates and the only thing I saw were a few crumbs here and there. Many guests came back for seconds. Very little cake was left. In summary, I would definitely recommend her. The next time I am in town for a celebration and need a cake, Sarah will be the first one I call. eally good sample. She tried to change our plans for tasting the cakes last minute but we werenāt able to accommodate so she stuck with our original plan. A week or two after we tried the cake, she followed up with us to see how we liked the cakes which we appreciated. The cake and filling were great, but we didnāt like the frosting and we let her know that. She then gave us another option for the frosting which shows that sheās flexible. However, we submitted a quote 3 weeks ago and still havenāt heard back. Iāve followed up multiple times a week through text and Instagram and she responds to let us know sheās working on it, but ultimately she still hasnāt given us the quote. Our wedding is coming up in 2 months so this has been a huge bummer. I have requested my deposit back but am still waiting despite her confirmation that she received my request for my money back.

er times when I have ordered other cakes from Sarah. They are late and/or not finished when I need to pick them up. I have ordered 4 cakes from Sarah and each time they have not been ready when we have agreed on a time for pick up. Two out of the four times she has delivered them to me after they were not ready on set pick up time and then asked me to pay for delivery. Sarah's cakes are GREAT and the effort she puts into them is amazing but her inability to be punctual is unprofessional.

before i got my engagement cake from them. They are very unorganized and un professional. I paid for my cake MONTHS in advance ($487) and we had confirmed that it would be delivered and the date and time and everything. 2 weeks before the party she messaged me asking if i wanted delivery.....to which I told her yes thats what we had previously agreed on. she then said that they forgot to charge me for delivery and I had to pay another $50. That was the first red flag. A week before the party she asked me what my colors were....again.... so I screenshot our previous convo and showed what we had agreed on before... and in these months/weeks before the party I confirmed 3 different time the address TIME (3:30) and DATE(Aug 23rd) of the party to which she said yes too because i wanted to make she she understood since she seemed to keep forgetting things. Day of the party the hotel called me and told me the cake has not arrived yet.... I called her at 4:40 20 mis before party and she said she had me down for the 24th the following day in her calendar....I WAS BEYOND SHOCKED. she then proceeded to say sorry we must of had a miscommunication which really made me even more upset because i confirmed it 3 TIMES. when I pay OVER $500 for a cake I expect a little more professionalism than that. It ruined my night and was embarrassing. I was the one that had to tell her I wanted some money back for not receiving the service that I PAID for. She ended up giving me only $75 back. We basically only gave her a general description of the style/theme we wanted, and we let her take over from there with the actual design of the cake. So we didnāt know what the cake was going to look like until the day of, and we were more than happy with how it turned out! The wedding cake was gorgeous and she also did such a great job with adding cute little accents to our cupcakes. We got a lot of compliments on how good the cakes tasted! Sarah was very easy to work with through the whole process, and readily available with communication either through email or texting.
