s selection! Kelly, the store owner, was very patient and helpful with trying on the dresses, and she had a neat camera feature on her phone. When she would take a picture of me in the dress, it would appear on a TV screen nearby. I was able to see the front and back of the dress without any issue. On my second visit, when I was 100% positive my dress was at Love and Lace, Kelly brought out celebratory mimosas and did the sizing of my dress herself. My mom and I questioned her sizing because we felt it was a bit off, but Kelly assured us she knew European sizing well. I also ordered extra lace, applique, mesh, and my veil from the store. I learned Kelly does not have an in-house alterations team, but she gave me recommendations for one in my area and one in her area (since I was a little out of town). Unfortunately, the alterations recommendation she provided for me in my area was for a lady who was already retired from the profession. The one in her area, after looking at reviews and images online, did not look like they did a good enough job for the drive I'd have to make to go up there. Thankfully, the retired alterations lady recommended another alterations lady nearby to us who ended up being phenomenal! While I was waiting for my dress and additional items to come in, Kelly was very communicative. I was happy with my original purchase because I thought I was under my original wedding dress budget. Once my dress was ready to be picked up from Love and Lace, I took it to my alterations lady. I was heartbroken when I learned that Kelly sized my dress four sizes too big, the alterations to fix my dress almost cost the exact amount of the dress I ordered, and Kelly ordered the wrong colored mesh for my sleeves. I did not lose or gain weight once I found my dress; I only maintained, so the sizing being off by so much was a shock to me. My wedding dress was way overbudget now, and that did not include the sleeves I wanted to add to the dress (hence the extra material I purchased). If you go to Love and Lace, you will be treated very well and have a wonderful experience, but your dress may not be accurately sized. Thanks to my alterations lady, my wedding dress was exactly what I envisioned, and it was stunning!

It was everything I dreamed wedding dress shopping would be! The store itself was so cute. The dress options were amazing. And the owner, Kelly, was the kindest person! I told her my budget upfront and she didn't judge that it was a bit on the lower side, and she never once tried to convince to shop outside of my budget, which I appreciated so much! Kelly is so easy to work with, friendly, kind, sweet, understanding, etc. I couldn’t recommend a better person to work with while looking for your dream dress. Be ready to try styles that you didn’t think you would consider and have an open mind! If you can do that, Kelly will find the dress for you! I originally had a specific vision in mind, and I got something that was pretty much the opposite of that. AND, I LOVED my dress. I received so many compliments from wedding guests as well as our wedding party on my dress with lots saying they have not seen a more beautiful & unique dress. Kelly also offers a wedding dress preservation service, and after dropping your dress off with her, the dress will be preserved and shipped to the address of your choice within 6 - 8 weeks.
