e retaining deposit. By Monday, February 24th, I had not heard one word from Evelyn, other than her emailing us blank Google documents for us to enter some information into. It was never discussed.  2/24, I texted her to see if we could talk, so I could catch her up on some vendors that I locked in, and to ask for her help with a few things. She said she was busy, but would make time to talk to us Thursday or Friday. She texted me around noon on Friday to see if we could still talk that day. It was a relief to hear back from her! I caught her up on things I'd completed, and she promised to get back to us on Monday with a timeline for our date, and further information I had requested.  On this call, I did ask about the possibility of downgrading our package from partial, to month of, since I was continuing to do all of the planning and work. I was very clear that I didn't mean to offend her in the question, and that we were happy to be moving forward with her either way. She seemed to receive the inquiry just fine, and not surprisingly said she could not downgrade the planning package. Ok, totally fine! You can imagine my surprise when I received an email from her the following Monday, March 3rd, that did not include the promised information, but instead said that she was canceling our contract because she believed we needed someone to help with decor, and who aligned better with our needs and vision?? We wouldn't have chosen her in the first place if either party didn't feel like she aligned with our vision and needs... and if I can figure out a florist, dj, photographer, venue, etc, I can surely handle decor rentals. That obviously was not what we hired her for, and our needs did not change from our initial conversations with her, other than things that I completed myself, that I was hoping she would be able to help me with, and didn't.  She canceled our contract on us, without any discussion, and without having done literally one thing for us in the planning process in the month that she was under contract with us. So, now we're a month further down the line, with less planner options as our date grows closer, now only 5 months away, and having to start completely from scratch in finding a wedding planner.  Do not waste your time or energy. Unbelievably unprofessional.

I didn't think it was possible, but our ceremony took under 5 minutes, yet the words she wrote for us were so touching we still teared up!! Not only is Evelyn accommodating, kind, patient, warm, and a fast communicator, but she helped us plan our Big Day via facetime and emails as we were planning from our home in Hawaii! I highly recommend booking with her. She makes you laugh and feel at ease through every step of such nerve-wracking planning.

She was able to marry us in less than a week’s notice and provided two of the most beautiful nondenominational ceremony scripts ever! I’m talking, you’re going to want her to read both! We caught the micro wedding special and she was able to marry us at Rittenhouse Square. Evelyn was early and ready to go! She gave us an opportunity to make any last minute changes before we started and answered my fiancé’s last minute questions. Although we only spoke briefly via phone and email when we met Evelyn in person it was like magic! Her energy is just what you need on your wedding day! I would hire her again and recommend her for everyone! She really made our spontaneous wedding day super special, which every “coronabride” needs!

She was extremely sweet, easy-going and down-to-earth – not to mention she was around our age so it made us even more comfortable with the whole ceremony experience. She was very responsive, helpful and more than willing to take our (sometimes very specific and weird) additions to the ceremony – we even provided her a joke to throw in and she nailed it flawlessly  We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant!!

Evelyn was SO responsive, had a lot of samples you could chose from for the ceremony but was completely supportive of us writing our own ceremony. The only complaint I had as well as my guests was it was very hard to hear. The microphone was in front of me and my husband and Evelyn stood back pretty far from it - so a lot of guests had a hard time hearing. I wish I could have subtly told her to move up or something during the ceremony because even standing right near her I could tell how quiet she was. So just a tip moving forward that I didn't think about - make sure the microphone is in front of your officiant and not blocking the view of the bride & groom. Now the ceremony was outside so that could have made the noise level worse. Otherwise I highly recommend this company!
