They were simply amazing. From the constant, clear communication to the sheer quality of their services, everyone on staff deserves top marks. We used their entire suite of services, including music, lights, and coordination/officiation. Everyone was absolutely incredible, and our wedding went off without a hitch!

Josh was the best vendor we booked! From the very beginning he was super committed to make our day special and he made sure we got what we envisioned. He is SUPER easy to talk to, and so nice. We loved him and his work and hopefully we’ll get to keep him in our lives! So, BOOK HIM!

We cannot say enough good things about Love & Light Entertainment. Josh and Lynn truly went above and beyond any of our expectations to ensure that we had a successful wedding. Getting married in a tropical storm is rare around the DC area, so to say that there were many firsts is an understatement. Despite the technical and logistical challenges of having a wedding in the middle of a tropical storm, Josh and Lynn still delivered. Our wedding was held on board a boat as well which added to the complexity of their set up and clean up. True to their words during our last meeting before the event, they made sure we had nothing to worry about.  They even took up duties that were not assigned to them all to help out a frantic groom and bride make last minute adjustments. Without being prompted, they both did an amazing job controlling the crowd, recording the audio, keeping us on schedule, as well as keeping the party going. Even being cheerleaders in a tropical storm to an obviously stressed out couple. In terms of the more orthodox aspects of the job, Josh and Lynn did everything flawlessly. From the decorations, to the announcements, to the music - everything flowed seamlessly as if they were reading our minds throughout the entire event. In the months leading up to the event, Josh was always responsive and receptive to our ideas. A true professional who held the highest standards of customer service.   We wholeheartedly recommend Love & Light Entertainment to anyone looking for an amazing team to help you with your event. We are so thankful to have met such wonderful people who we hope to work with again should we have another event in the future!    

Love and Light Entertainment is a great choice for your wedding. 4.5/5. The vendor is professional and has a high quality He has a song request portal for clients to enter all the songs they would like to be played. He played all the songs requested on the portal. The portal also has suggestions for general dancing and the event songs. While at the wedding, he played songs not on the portal request list, that were also special to me (the bride), showing he can read the musical style of the couple. He also has a link for guests to post requests during the event, which can be made into a QR code. He recorded the speeches, which was unexpected and greatly appreciated, as now they can be listened to for years to come. The lighting and wall monogram added to the ambiance and there were always many people dancing.

Highly recommend booking Love & Light Entertainment. We hired Josh for our wedding and we have no regrets about it. Josh from the very first intro call to the post wedding follow up emails was the most professional DJ you could ask for. He is so knowledgeable about his craft and always willing to answer any questions or help you out in any way. He has designed a really nice website to help make the process easier and this shows how much time he has put into his work. He was super engaging throughout the day and we even loved dancing at his table with him, just the 3 of us, during the reception. He just bought a new DJ table which can display text or logo on it and that was a cool addition. Also, strongly recommend the cold sparks which added so much to our first dance and other moments throughout the night.

Josh did a great job with the DJ services for our wedding! He was friendly, professional, and very accommodating of our vision and budget. He was also very welcoming to us a queer couple. In addition to doing a great job with the sound, the lighting and photo slideshow effects that we used were super cool and our guests were very impressed. We found the planning portal easy to navigate and it helped us think of many things we might have otherwise overlooked. We originally hadn't planned on hiring a DJ, but I am very glad that we did. Josh was awesome! He is so kind and easy to work with. When we met and chatted about our vision for our wedding, he was excited and made it happen. He kept everyone on the dance floor - which was our main goal - and he helped to make the night that much more special.

We worked with Josh of Love and Light Entertainment for our wedding, and we had such a great experience! Leading up to the wedding, Josh was in constant contact with us to ensure he had the details of our big day worked out. He was professional and kind, and truly just a fun guy to work with. Bonus points for being a Veteran Owned Small Business! We had to make changes to the ceremony music last minute and he adapted perfectly. My groom and I are very picky about music and are not big fans of traditional wedding reception music – Josh killed it! He paid attention to all our “must play” and “do not play” songs. Also..he is a REAL DJ. He did not just stand up there and click a button to move from song to song..this guy read the crowd and the energy, he mixed songs, he got people dancing. Our reception music was something I was really worried about during our planning phase and my expectations were far exceeded. He recorded our vows, our wedding party introductions, and our speeches and had the audio back to us almost immediately. I would work with him again on any event! Thank you so much, Josh!

My husband and I were super glad and grateful to work with Joshua for our wedding. From the start, it gave us peace of mind that we were talking and working with the actual person who would be DJ-ing our wedding. This wasn't always the case with some other vendors we spoke to. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Joshua was very responsive and flexible. He makes it easy to set up quick 15 minute calls or longer 30 minute calls on his client portal and has always been prompt. On wedding day, Joshua and his team were professional, kind, and great at getting the crowd on the dance floor. Everything from the ceremony, cocktail hour, to the reception went smoothly and we felt like we could truly enjoy our wedding.

Josh was absolutely amazing - both in the preparation process, and on the wedding day. His online system is very efficient, and well organized. He is very personable, and went above and beyond to make our day so special. The mirrorbooth was unique, which our guests raved about. And lastly, his indoor sparklers were the icing on the cake! I highly recommend Josh for any wedding!!

Josh was an excellent choice for our wedding! Our guests raved that the music selection was great. As a bride and groom born in the late 80s/early 90s, we asked Josh to lean on music of the late 90s/early 00s mixing in some oldies and music from today to get everybody dancing, and he did just that. We had a party filled with folks on the dance floor all night—including family you wouldn’t normally expect to see let loose out there. Beyond just the music selection, Josh was great at keeping the timeline of the party going. I chose not to go with a day-of coordinator or wedding planner, instead managing a lot of the details myself. I was able to give Josh a timeline of the day, and especially the reception, and he followed it to a tee—always coming to check-in first to make sure we were ready to move on in a couple minutes—whether to speeches, cake cutting, or even just from the cocktail reception to actual reception and dinner. Because of Josh’s organization and all around excellent DJ-ing, as a Type A bride, I was able to let go and just enjoy our day.

We hired Joshua for our Halloween wedding and we are so happy with our decision. Joshua was always on top of planning, even offering a portal where we can filter through songs and ask guests for song requests. We postponed our wedding from last year to this year due to COVID and I was so stressed with constantly emailing our vendors and putting reminders in my calendar to email them for updates. I didn’t have to do any of this with Joshua. He would actually email me first and made the process so much easier! He also was ready to jump on a call at anytime, helped with the timeline, and I felt like he genuinely cared and was passionate about what he does. He suggested we get amber uplights to go with our theme (and included dance lighting) and I am SO happy with the results. It really brought the visuals together and the pictures look amazing! Onto the wedding day. Joshua was on time and set up fast. He was on point with the timeline, but also knew when to wait a few minutes to start. Both of our families didn’t like our choice for reception music and constantly went up to him to request something more upbeat, but Joshua didn’t change the music until he brought it up with us. He was quick to play requests (but also knew which songs not to play when my drunk friends made requests). The number one thing is that he audio recorded our speeches and got videos of us dancing all night. This was important because our videographer didn’t show that night. He was quick to send over everything he had so we could piece together our special night! Honestly, I can go on all day about how great Joshua was. I highly recommend him for any event!

Military veteran and incredible DJ, Joshua, made our entertainment dreams came to life from beginning to end! He was so easy to work with - even more on top of things than this type-A bride! Everyone at our wedding loved him - pretty sure my mom even asked for his info to share out with friends and family!! Love and Light did an amazing job with the music and lighting during the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. Joshua took our musical tastes into consideration while adding in our guest's requests. The music was enjoyed by guests of all ages and the dance floor stayed busy all night. As an extra bonus, Joshua shot several videos of our guests dancing with his GoPro, which was a wonderful way to revisit the night. During our planning process, he was very responsive and helpful and met with us multiple times to make sure we had everything ready for our day. We can’t recommend Love & Light Entertainment enough!

We couldn't have asked for a better dj! Worked with us on the whole process, helped us with timing, was able to act as a day of coordinator, and was super flexible when we had to reschedule due to covid. Had the best music prepared, let us pick the music before hand and during the event, and found special Armenian music just for us! He even let me late night karaoke! Using Josh for all my future events! Had the best day ever!!!!
