When planning our wedding, I spent a lot of time searching for the right photographers. I wanted our photos to be perfect because I knew they would last! We hired Alie and Richie for a cherry blossom engagement session at the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC in March 2023 and I can confidently say that they are the most skilled and accomodating photographers I have ever come across. They were beyond gracious at every step of the planning process. They were extremely thorough in helping us make arrangements in the weeks leading up to the shoot. The cherry blossoms season is notoriously difficult to predict and the quality of the photos is highly dependent on the weather and this is something that Alie and Richie were well atuned to. I had been obsessively checking the weather forecast in the days following "peak bloom," and although we had been planning to come to DC on Friday night for a Saturday morning session, the forecast made it apparent that the weather and lighting would be far better on Friday morning. We brought this to Alie and Richie's attention and asked if we could change the date of our session with less than 24 hours notice. We've worked with other photographers in the past and we've found most to be inflexible and so we expected our request to be a long shot. We were pleasantly surprised when Alie and Richie promptly messaged us back letting us know they were willing to move the shoot up on extremely short notice and even went as far as to contact the NPS to mage the necessary arrangements. At the tidal basin, Richie was extremely thorough in capturing an immense number of photos at many different sites. He masterfully posed us and the shoot was very enjoyable in and of itself, thanks to Richie. Once we received the photos back we were beyond impressed. They turned out beautifully and we are tremendously grateful to Alie and Richie for their attention to detail in delivering a final product that we were overwhelmingly in love with. To sum this all up, Alie and Richie are incredible photographers, fantastic editors, and lovely people. Our already high expectations of the final results of the photos and their professionalism were greatly exceeded. I’m extremely late in posting our review since life has been crazy busy since our wedding last September (2021), but I promise there’s not a single day we don’t remember Love Charm and the amazing work they did for our wedding photography- my husband and I each have one of our photos as our phone screensavers and it makes us remember how amazing that day was. Our wedding day was perfect, and we can confidently say that a lot of that was due to Allie & Richie’s incredible organization and support. Since we first got in touch with them for quotes back when we were looking to do our engagement photoshoot, we knew they were the top choice- it was a no brainer. From the first call we had with them, they made us feel confident they were professional and reliable. My husband does photography as well so he had a lot of questions that Love Charm made him feel reassured about - and let me tell you, they absolutely delivered above and beyond for all the work we did with them! We cannot say enough great things about them to others who ask us about our photos. Our engagement photoshoot was so smooth and fun with Allie and Richie. Even though it rained in DC the day of, Allie came prepared with lovely clear/photo-appropriate umbrellas for us to use and she and Richie got some really creative pics we love! We had a long timeline between our engagement and our wedding (about a year in between) and throughout that time, even with the pandemic going on, Allie and Richie did an amazing job of checking in with us and as we got closer to the wedding date, Allie was super helpful in putting together a timeline for the day of, which was a lifesaver since we didn’t have a wedding planner. Allie created a schedule down to the 15 minute mark for the day of and she and Richie kept our group so on time for everything, and without making anyone feel any stress at all! We got incredible photos from them for our wedding day too. We LOVE all the pics, and you can tell that the others in the photos are also so happy because Allie and Richie do a great job of making everyone feel special, ensuring everyone looked good, and they’re also just so fun to work with, they ensure everyone’s having a great time and so all the photos came out great with all kinds of genuine emotion showing. You can tell Allie and Richie do this professionally and are truly invested in their work. They have thought of it all and are beyond prepared, dependable, easygoing and fun! While they are both extremely talented photographers, it is clear Allie and Richie each also have their unique strengths and they make an amazing team. I cannot say enough about Allie’s organization, communication and ability to stage/set up particular poses- she’s so on top of it all, and Richie clearly has a unique eye and raw talent for capturing picture-perfect moments. Love Charm absolutely did an amazing job, even our friends and family kept raving about them the day of because they were such a pleasure to work with, and everyone raved even more once they saw the final photos! We loved every aspect of working with Allie and Richie and have already recommended them to others and will continue to do so because we know 100% that Love Charm is the wedding photographer team people will love for their special day. Without a doubt, my husband and I would want to work with Allie and Richie again for future photography needs and hope others can get to also see how lovely this photography team is! We’ve worked with Alli and Richie for our wedding, maternity shoot AND family shoot. Their work is always amazing but most importantly they are ALWAYS a pleasure to work with. We always felt comfortable working with them and confident that they would be able to capture our vision. To put it simply, Alie and Richie are incredible photographers and even nicer people. My mom always said, 'the photographer is the most important vendor you'll have; so choose wisely.' We couldn't have chosen better. First, we used them for our engagement photo session. Neither my (now) husband nor I knew what to expect; we're not big picture people. But with these two, we didn't have to be. They made us feel very comfortable, were extremely down to earth, and posed us in a million different scenes at the location. This meant that there were a ton of pictures to choose from and honestly, they were all beautiful. Come wedding day, the team split up so that one of them could stay with me and my bridesmaids while the other could photograph the guys. Outside of the posed pictures with the wedding party and family, it was almost like they were invisible. It wasn't until they sent us the 1700 final photos that I realized that Love Charm had captured EVERY LITTLE MOMENT; I mean there were close-ups of us during the ceremony and dancing and eating dinner that I hadn't even REALIZED had been photographed. They were that incognito. I'm so happy that they were a part of our special day and i'd use them a thousand times more for any special life event.

We have worked with Love Charms Alie and Richie 3 times now! 1st I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that used them, 2nd as a mini shoot in a sunflower field with our newborn and my husband, and most recently for Valentine’s Day of my toddler! They never disappoint and while they usually focus on weddings their talents are endless! They are creative and willing to work with anyone, even a toddler who refuses to sit still 😊

Richie and Alie were super friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to provide a wonderful experience for us during our photo session. They were professional and the turnaround time for the photos was quick.

Love Charm was one of the first vendors we worked with (we actually won a free engagement session around Valentine’s day 2020) and we were so lucky to have found them! They were really flexible when everything was uncertain during the early days of pandemic, and even did a "virtual" photoshoot with us for engagement pictures! We eventually did a full engagement session before the session, and all the photos were lovely! They got us photos with quick turn around, and were very communicative throughout the whole process and we knew exactly what to expect—which went a long way to calming our nerves. At all sessions and (most importantly on our wedding day), they made us feel very comfortable. We’re not super natural in front of a camera, but Richie, Alie, and Joy were so easy to work with and the photos show it! They let us know a few months before our wedding day that Alie would be unable to shoot our wedding, and on the day of our wedding it was shot by Richie and Joy, who was just a delight! We’d recommend Love Charm to anyone looking for a photographer.

I CANNOT recommend Richie & Alie enough!! They were truly amazing from start to finish: responsive, professional, and completely affordable. From the moment we reached out they were great about quickly getting back to us and walking us step by step through the process. My fiancé and I didn't really know what we wanted our engagement photos to look like, but Richie & Alie made a point to talk us through everything and our pictures turned out better than we could've imagined. Even including the days leading up when we were worried about the weather affecting our pictures Alie was immediately accessible and flexible to walk us through our options. We hired Love Charm Photo to capture our wedding day last minute! My wife and I are videographers in the wedding industry and have worked with many photographers. I cannot begin to express how thankful my husband and I are for their positive energy, amazing gallery of photos, and care in making our COVID elopement feel like our dream wedding. At a loss about our crumbling plans for our big day back in April, 2020, we found Alie and Richie's inviting website in the hopes of planning an elopement for July. Alie and Richie were open about their COVID policies (which are great and very fair for the client) and were flexible to meet our budget. Within the first few minutes of our consultation, we were determined to hire them! On the day of the wedding, this dynamic duo powered through the July heat with professionalism, positivity, and pure joy! They worked seamlessly with our videographers and communicated like clock-work with them. As a result, our photos and video show cohesion throughout the day. The full gallery was delivered around a month post-wedding, which is speedy for the wedding industry! Our gallery contained SO many more pictures than we were promised and a wonderful array of photojournalistic and posed photos! We were left speechless at the quality, quantity, and energy that they captured. They even posted the highlights of our day on their blog, which was easy to share with family and friends (and also make us feel like low-key celebrities). I cannot recommend Alie and Richie enough. They were integral in raising our spirits about our COVID-elopement and were the ideal team to hire for our wedding! They captured everything that we wanted and tons more that we didn't know that we needed, too!

We had our engagement session with Richie. We saw some nice photos at their instagram and would like to have a similar style. Alie responded to our request pretty quickly. We had a nice talk with Alie over the phone, regarding the location, photo style, timing, etc., At the appointment day, Richie showed up really on time, and gave us tons of instructions, and also reviewed the example photos of what we sent before. The photos turn out pretty and natural, with some are in a very artist way. Richie is passionate about taking photos. It is fun to have Richie taking photos for us. Obviously, Richie has been taking photos in DC for a long time, and is pretty familiar with DC locations.

Ali, Richie and LaJuan helped make my wedding day so memorable. They were fantastic in communication and information leading up to my wedding day - I had zero questions for them on the morning of! The wedding day was so wonderfully smooth - we captured some beautiful shots for my first look with my dad and then again with my husband. We split the wedding up into our actual wedding day, and then had a huge party the night after, where both Alie and Richie worked with me on the timeline and the flow of the night. Alie and Richie are such amazing people! We only worked directly with Richie on the actual day of the wedding, but we (well, mostly myself!) did speak with both of them throughout the entire process. And let me just tell you how easy it was to work with them! My husband and I had a somewhat last-minute courthouse wedding and I had reached out to Alie and Richie maybe 2 months beforehand. They made everything so easy and smooth (and they were seriously lifesavers!) Plus they were so helpful and flexible with the submitting of the payment and setting everything up. And on the actual day, my husband and I had so much fun with Richie! It did not feel uncomfortable at all. And from what I can tell from the sneak peeks that I have received, the photos are AMAZING! My husband and I eloped in Manhattan and we wanted to weave New York’s infrastructure, technology, art, and fashion into our wedding photos. We were intrigued to work with Alie and Richie after visiting their professional photography website and reading about them—“partners, best friends, husband and wife, and a photo team”... that definitely reflects what we believe a successful relationship should be and we decided to give Love Charm a shot. From the moment we submitted an inquiry to Alie and Richie via their online portal, they responded very timely and were extremely positive and helpful with answering all of the questions we had—from tips for the bride regarding her makeup, to the best time to take photos for certain locations in New York. Alie and Richie made us feel very comfortable asking questions and they always responded in a timely manner after any inquiry we had. Alie even met up with us prior to the wedding day to better coordinate our big day. On our wedding day, Alie helped me carry my wedding dress across the Brooklyn Bridge Park, Times Square, and Central Park while tag-teaming with Richie to take photos. Richie was very professional and helpful in directing my husband and I and letting us know what was necessary to get the shots we wanted. We never felt like Alie and Richie were bossy or demanding during our photo shoots (at three different locations); they were very open minded with my husband and I’s ideas and wanted us to have fun on our big day, and they will do all of the work. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you Alie and Richie!

My husband and I hired Alie and Richie to take our photos for our wedding day. They were amazing the entire time and knew what would make the best pictures.
