About this vendor
Love Genre Films is a wedding videography company based in Sacramento, CA. Owner and principal cinematographer Alex Cristescu has been making beautiful wedding films for more than a decade. He has also worked as a television journalist, editor, and camera operator, and his work has been featured locally and nationally. Alex would love to put his talent and experience to work for you. He can’t wait to capture the moments you’ll want to remember and treasure forever.
Alex and his team believe that a great wedding video is one that couples will want to rewatch and pass down the generations. That’s why they’re focused on quality rather than volume. They do everything in-house, and they take on only a limited number of clients per year. When you book Alex and his team, you’re getting a group of talented artists who really care about you and your day. They want to understand who you are as a couple: the journeys you’ve shared and your hopes and dreams for the future. Knowing you will inform their approach and enable them to create a video that captures the beauty and essence of your special day.
Love Genre Films offers a range of wedding packages to choose from. Their basic package includes six hours of coverage, one videographer, drone footage, montage and full-feature films, a one-minute social media teaser, digital delivery, and two Blu-ray copies of your films. Live streaming, guest commentary, additional coverage, and same-day editing services are available as add-ons.

amazing. Alex was easy to work with, quick to respond, and worked well with our photographer throughout the wedding day. We asked him to help us recreate a viral tik tok video and he went above and beyond- didn’t charge us and turned it around in only a couple of days. As part of our package we got a 1 minute montage, 8 minute montage, and full length ceremony and toast videos. All of them turned out great and we know we will cherish these for years to come. Alex really, truly delivers. He pays attention to detail, moving trash cans out of the shot, telling me to fix my ring because it was slightly crooked, etc.
He offers drone shots/...
footage which add SO much drama and beauty to his work.
He did an excellent job and his work speaks for itself.
Alex is such a kind, generous, and lovely person to work with, I wish I was getting married every month so I could hire Alex.

Throughout the entire planning process, Alex was extremely quick to respond and answer my questions. I definitely never had any issues with waiting very long for a reply. On the day of the wedding, he was easy to work with and made great suggestions for different moments to capture.

allows us to now re-live our special moments. Alex is so easy to work with, and has been from the start. My husband and I were talking after the wedding and saying how we barely even noticed him there throughout the night; with that, we were so amazed with all that he was able to capture and with the videos he was able to create for us!! He was able to capture our ceremony and personalized vows, pictures/videos of us during our sunset photo-op, all of the toasts, our cake cutting experience, all of our special dances, and even some of our friends busting some moves on the dance floor. We are incredibly happy with the results and would absolute recommend Alex to anyone looking for a videographer for their special day. We cannot thank him (and recommend him) enough for all that he did!
Omg - grab your tissues because there will be happy tears!
What an exciting experience - My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Alex to capture a video of our wedding ...
day. We came across another project he had done for an old friend on Instagram and we immediately knew he was a candidate for the job. Alex initially stood out to us (and ultimately lead to our decision to go with him) because of his quality/style of work, packages and pricing. I was extremely picky through the process of vetting out our vendors and I am so happy we chose Alex to be our videographer. He did exceptional work capturing all the emotion and special moments through the day and exceeded all our expectations - we love his style of editing and everything he includes in his competitive pricing (specifically, the drone and raw footage stood out to us!). Alex has a true talent and eye for what he does which we could see from the jump - but what we didn’t know and learned in the process of working with him is how kind, communicative/responsive, and easy to work with he is - from our first interaction to the final product, Alex was so pleasant and professional. He managed his time well, always reminded me to smile (which I needed while under all the wedding day stresses!), and he understood the assignment! He never missed an opportunity to capture a moment big or small. He and his second shooter were also faced with working around/with our two other hired photographers and a content creator and he did it so well and smooth! We would choose Alex and Love Genre Films over again if given the opportunity.
We highly recommend him!
Alex was amazing to work with. He captured the little details that were unique to us and fit it perfectly with the song we wrote for our first dance. Highly recommend Alex at Love ...

Alex from Love Genre Films was SO professional, nice, and great at communication. I’m very big about communication and Alex always kept us in the loop about everything (leading up to the wedding AND after).
Additionally, I feel we got what we paid for. His work is STUNNING. I love watching our wedding video over and over again, it brings us and our loved ones to tears when we watch it. He captured everything in our video that I wanted to remember, down to the last detail. He’s a very talented videographer.
I’m very, very happy with our wedding video. I’ve seen other friends’ wedding videos and I always think to myself, “mine is better.” Lol

Chinese wedding event. He'd put together our wedding montage to tell a story that was compelling and made my mother-in-law cry tears of joy. Pricing was reasonable when compared to his competitors; totally recommended to get the extra angles by paying for his assistant since the cuts felt much cleaner this way. The cherry on top was his drone footage to get an awe-inspiring view of our venue alongside the Sacramento River.
Alex is amazing and very professional and the communication was super easy. I had a great experience. Overall quality is outstanding I would hire Alex anytime!

o nice and explained everything so well so that we could best decide on what we wanted, service wise. When we met Alex on wedding day, he made us feel comfortable as we both are awkward with camera and video. We are so impressed how as a solo cinematographer he was able to capture so many special moments from every angle, and blend them together paired with beautiful music to really portray how beautiful and full of love our wedding was. The use of drone coverage is such a cool addition that he mixes in with all the wedding footage perfectly. We continue to watch the coverage often as it brings back happy memories. I highly recommended Alex of Love Genre films as your wedding cinematographer!
Alex made the wedding video of my dreams. If you’re debating on the extra expense of hiring a videographer, let me help you out- DO IT. And trust me, hire Alex. I got a beautiful m...
ontage of my wedding, a clip for social media, my first looks and vows, the full ceremony, reception, toasts and dances. And I get to keep them forever! I look back and hardly remember anything from my wedding day because it went by so quickly, but thanks to Alex, I get to relive that day whenever I want! The drone footage he got of the property and the surrounding area was definitely a huge plus for me too! Everything from the songs he chose to the slow motion kisses was done with so much care, you can really tell from the gorgeous video that he wanted it to be as perfect as possible. Thank you Alex! I’m left speechless every time I see it and could never thank you enough! ♥️

hing was smooth.
His response time throughout the process was rapid and that ensured that we felt comfortable and stress free.
On the day of our wedding Alex was timely and made us feel so comfortable. The behind the scenes filming of a wedding can feel awkward at time but Alex knew just what to say to loosen us up and make us feel confident.
He returned the video in under 3 months which is quite impressive given how detailed and well edited the final product was. We had our wedding in high season so we can only imagine how much he must of had on his plate.
We have gotten so many compliments on our video and have been so proud to show all our friends and family.
Planning a wedding can be stressful and the last thing you want to be worried about is your vendors. Well Alex ensured that we had one less thing to worry about because he was a master at his craft. He even pulled out a drone for some great footage of the venue! That was a surprise we were not expecting.
Pricing is also an important factor when deciding your videographer and Alex offers a very competitive rate. Money well spent!
Thank you so much Alex, we will be recommending you to all our friends and family!
Keep being you! You have a real talent.

. We knew the video was going to turn out great, but the end product exceeded our expectations. I’d also like to note I’m such a type A personality and VERY picky. The wedding day was beautifully captured, I was bawling my eyes out re-watching it back. The fact that we can go back to this day and re-live these memories, truly means so much to us. We can’t recommend Alex enough. He’s personable, genuine and a true artist at what he does.

ork. Alex was more affordable than other videographers and I got lucky that he did not have my wedding date booked already. I think his work is better than other videographers, and he could easily charge higher prices. He is great with drone footage and paying attention to little detail Don’t waste your time with shopping around and comparing video packages.
My husband is super quiet and there was no way I was going to convince him to wear a mic during our private vows. He was very adamant that it was not gonna happen. Somehow Alex convinced him to wear the mic! Alex was so calm and professional, he made us both feel so comfortable. I am forever grateful he got my husband to wear the mic. Several of my wedding guests told me how much they liked my videographer and how professional he was. Alex was also kind enough to take some still shots of my wedding details since my photographer hadn’t arrived yet. I am so happy with my montage and all the recordings of the day. I recommend Alex to everyone I know getting married and I hope we get to work together again!

everal reviews I reached out to him and I love how responsive he was. I truly believe that when a vendor responds to any questions you have in a timely manner and are professional about it, that's the vendor you are meant to work with.
What made it even better was Alex, has experience working with the wedding venue where my husband and I got married at so whatever it was he suggested to us just confirmed that this was our cinematographer for our special day.
From the moment of our communications, correspondence throughout the planning process, to the days leading up to the wedding, wedding day and post wedding day, Alex has been extremely understanding and accommodating.
I would recommend his services to any of my family and friends, and would definitely work with him again in the near future!
Our wedding montage is so beautiful, highlights of the wedding clips that he's captured, have exceeded our expectations. The wait was definitely worth it!
Thank you Alex for being you and for being apart of our memorable day! You are an amazing and talented cinematographer/videographer!

Alex is an absolute gem to work with. His videography packages are the most comprehensive I could find in the area, and I was so happy to be able to get full coverage of the entire...
ceremony, reception, and toasts in addition to STUNNING edited highlight videos (incuding drone footage!) that was affordable. As you can see from his online portfolio, his artistry is apparent and consistent with all of his clients: you will end up with a cinematic masterpiece if you hire Love Genre Films. He manages to capture the magic, intimacy, and emotions of your special day as though you were reliving the moment every time you watch his videos, which is not an easy feat to replicate. He is very experienced and made the actual wedding day so seamless. I didn't need to stress about coordinating everything -- he did it all, no questions asked. He knew just where to go, who to reach out to, what shots would work best for the film, etc. In the contract, he also states the predicted timeline of when your edited videos will be ready, and just as stated in the contract, he was punctual with his services. Alex is a seasoned veteran to weddings, for sure. I would hire him again if we did a vow renewal in the future, and have been nonstop suggesting his services to all of my couple friends. 1000% recommend!
