love in the mix

We just got married a few weeks ago and Dan was amazing! He knew how to get everyone on the dance floor and did a great job of reading the room. I wanted to make sure both the adults and everyone our age danced and had a fun time and he got everyone out there, even more so than I expected! I was on the dance floor the entire time because all my guests were having the best time. Dan was also such a pleasure to work with and made everything so fun and easy. He did the best job getting to know us and really listening to our vision so he could make sure the music was special and felt like us, especially the last song he surprised us with which is played at the Giants game where my husband and I first met. It was such a cool way to end the most incredible day. I would work with Dan again in a heartbeat and only wish we could have kept dancing longer!

Dan and Ersson from Love In the Mix were absolutely amazing and we are SOOOO happy we found them. Every single part of the day that they had a hand in was just perfect! DJ/Audio - We used Love In the Mix for all of the audio and music for our wedding. Although we were not super picky with all of the exact songs for our wedding, we knew that a DJ could make or break our reception. Once we met Dan, we knew he would be great. We started with his questionnaire which helped us focus on what we wanted for each part of the wedding. We had our do-not-play list and then gave him the genres and specific artists we wanted to hear, but let him take the reins from there. He gave us great recommendations for our ceremony music and the specific events throughout the night. He provided the mics and all of the audio for the ceremony and made sure we were comfortable with which person would have what mic. For the reception, we wanted people up and dancing as soon as dinner was over and Dan definitely delivered!! We got so many compliments from people about how great the music was and how much fun they had! Lighting - We honestly hadn't thought too much about lighting. Dan (an expert on lighting from his experiences with his family's business) gave us our options (including doing nothing) and we went with the stringed lighting, uplighting around the reception space, and a few spot lights (cake, sign-in table, bar). We really appreciated that he didn't try to push us into getting more than we felt comfortable with and was honest with what he thought would make the space pop. To that note as well, Dan gave us his honest opinion that it was a distraction from people dancing, which is what we wanted, so we ultimately passed on this. Dan and his team did such a great job! It definitely would have been a different vibe in our venue had we not had the lighting! Wedding coordination - Because we planned our SF wedding while living in Europe, we definitely wanted to have a day-of coordinator. We wanted someone that had experience at our venues/with our other vendors, but we also didn't want to pay a ridiculous price for it. Because Dan was DJing our wedding, Ersson was our day-of coordinator. We skyped and emailed what seems like thousands of times with them (my doing, not them) and they were always prompt to respond, honest with their thoughts, and professional in their communication. We can't stress how incredible they were!! Dan and Ersson did a lot of things that we felt were above and beyond the realm of "day-of-only" planning. They were a huge help in setting the timeline, coordinating vendors, problem solving, and all of the odd things that come up in the many MONTHS leading up to the wedding day, especially given that we were planning the wedding from afar. Dan and Ersson took care of the fire drills with ease and without adding to our stress. They made sure to involve us when needed, but had the tact to know when they could take care of something without involving us. Throughout the whole process, Dan and Ersson were quick to respond, helpful, and genuinely interested in making our day perfect. They listened to all of our questions/concerns/wants and really made sure that our day was going to be exactly was we envisioned it. They really made the whole process seamless and easy. We can say without a doubt that they went WELL above and beyond what we expected and we would not have changed anything! We definitely recommend Love In the Mix!!!

From start to finish I was happy with Love in the Mix! Dan was always great with responding to emails. I appreciated that both him and DJ Ersson met with us just to see if we were interested in hiring them and then again to review the timeline and other specifics. DJ Ersson did a perfect job MC'ing and then with all of the music. Once the dancing started it was one good song after another!...I had a hard time pulling myself off of the dance floor! I had many people tell me how much fun they had at our wedding...and many specifically commented on how awesome my DJ was!
