Love Is In The Hair is the absolute BEST. I used them for our wedding recently, and cannot say enough wonderful things about the quality of their team's pre-planning + onsite execution + humans. Expectations were communicated upfront, their team coordinated with our schedule beautifully, and they made my girls/ladies feel pampered + listened to on the day of the wedding. We recently used Love Is In The Hair for our wedding and they did not disappoint! We had 14 girls getting hair and/or makeup done so they brought 4 amazing stylists/artists. We were especially impressed with Lisa who did both brides' hair. She was so sweet, detail-oriented, and stuck with us during some stressful changes in the weather that caused unprecedented delays. Love Is In the Hair was incredible!! I was thrilled with the hair and makeup results from my artist Lisa! She was not only super talented, but also very fun to relate with and get to know. The wedding day is already a big enough deal, and I'm sure many brides say this, but I am extremely particular about my makeup and hair. I have done my own makeup and hair at most weddings I've been in. Lisa was on top of every detail and did wonders even when I changed up the hairstyle I wanted the day of the wedding!! The whole team was stellar and were extremely professional, prompt, and prepared especially under the extenuating circumstances of covid. Lisa stayed kept a carefully organized kit with her as she stayed late to do touch ups for pictures and was readily available. It felt as if she popped up out of no where and was ready to assist! Michelle and her team were fantastic! Wedding planning is hard. Throw in a pandemic and S#*t gets real. Luckily, Michelle was there to make it all work out. She sincerely listens to what you want and has the expertise to bring it to fruition. Michelle did my HMU for my rehearsal dinner and for my wedding. I felt so relaxed and had so much fun with her and the Love is in the Hair team. I completely trust her and she is a true professional. She knows that this is your big day and makes you feel and look like your most beautiful self! Michelle gave me a blow-out for my rehearsal that would have lasted the entire weekend! I have super straight hair and she has figured out the secret to giving me beautiful beach curls. I loved it. For my wedding, she created this chic, classic chignon with intricate twists that added volume and accentuated my highlights. I’ll post a photo because pictures speak a thousand words- all complimentary toward Michelle! Nicole and Dori were amazing; my bridesmaids can’t stop raving about them! A lot of my bridesmaids said this was their best wedding HMU experience ever! My bridesmaids and mom felt so special and were STUNNING! We had 8 people total for both hair and makeup, and they were able to tailor to each of our preferences, dress color, personality, and hair/skin type. Michelle and her crew were nothing short of professional and inclusive. They had the task of completing two brides, plus a bridesmaid, an officiant, and two MsOBs. They were truly our glam-squad for the day. Michelle helped us make decisions about hair and makeup prior to the day of, which made the wedding morning go so smoothly. Michelle was an absolute dream to work with. She’s been doing my hair for several years now and I knew the minute I got engaged I wanted her for the special day! Michelle is beyond talented - I chose to do a H&MAU trial (with the MOB in tow) and we left raving about the outcome/how much we loved Michelle! I had such a wonderful time working with Michelle. She was amazing. I love how she listened to what I wanted and gave me honest feedbacks about my vision of how I would look on my wedding day. First off, highly recommend that you do a trial first. I initially wasn’t planning to have one but after some convincing I decided to come in for a trial. My trial went well. I liked how I looked and I was so glad to meet Michelle. We got along really well. She had said that now she knows how my hair was she had some ideas for the wedding day. Also she told me to make sure to keep hydrated and keep my skin moisturized. Im so glad I listened to her. On my wedding day, I was expecting to have the same look but it turned out to be more than what I expected. Michelle had said that she was going to do some changes based on my feedback to her and that it would look great. I trusted her completely and I was not mistaken. She knows how my hair was and I got the look that I have envisioned with some added touch. The placement of my veil was perfect. My make up was amazing. I was going for a “glowy” look and light make up, sort of a no make up look. She was able to achieve that. My skin was glowing and she highlighted my features perfectly. She truly made me feel beautiful and I think thats what every bride want to feel on their wedding day. Also Michelle’s team were great. My mom who is always hard to please got off the make chair looking so happy and beautiful. They also did a great job on the rest if the bridal party.

I’ve never felt so good about myself in my life. Michelle did my hair and makeup for our wedding in San Diego and she made magic happen. As someone with a tendency to shy away from wearing too much makeup, I was worried about not looking like myself on such an important day. I expressed this to Michelle, and she assured me that she specializes in natural looking makeup and that she can tailor the look to each client’s preferences. My expectations for what I would look like on my wedding day were surpassed by a long shot. Everyone was talking about my skin - how I was “glowing” and looked “radiant.” My mom, who has a tendency to be brutally honest when it comes to my appearance, couldn’t stop telling me how beautiful I looked. And my hair! I showed Michelle three photos from Pinterest and she created a work of art. I liked my hair more than the photos. I was originally planning to use extensions, but didn’t need them. Her technique was so elaborate; I couldn’t believe it was my own hair. The style went perfectly with my dress and the venue (a castle). My dad cried when first he saw me, and so did the groom. The best part is that I felt like myself, and yet I also felt like a queen the entire night (and everything stayed in place too). On a day that can sometimes bring a lot of stress, it was so great to have absolutely zero stress when it came to how I looked. I’m so grateful to Love is in the Hair. I can’t wait to see the photos.

I cannot say enough great things about Love is in the Hair! From inquiry to booking then trial and day of they were super easy to work with, professional & fun! The first meeting I had was for my trial with Michelle at her salon in Truckee. Michelle is an absolute sweetheart and has such a fun and spunky personality. My mother in law came with me and Michelle made her feel involved and took her time walking us through her tips and tricks with makeup. I never felt like we were on a time line and felt that she was going to take as much time as needed to make sure she got the look I was going for. I walked out of there feeling so gorgeous and like I made a friend. On the day of our wedding Michelle and Stephanie arrived on time and found the best spot to set up quickly. They were so engaged with all of my bridesmaids and each of them loved their hair and makeup that day. Michelle and her team did such a great job on our wedding day. We had 6 people total for both hair and makeup, and they were able to give us all personalized styles tailored to each individual's preferences, dress color, and personality while also creating a cohesive look for the bridal party. Sophisticated up-dos, big voluminous blow-outs, romantic and soft half up-dos - they did it all. The makeup applications were also fantastic and highlighted everyone's unique beauty without feeling fake or unnatural. We had different ages, hair types, and skin types in our group, and Michelle and her team were able to handle it all. Importantly, everything photographed amazingly AND lasted the entire night (even through the next morning!). Michelle and her team are very knowledgable and have SO much expertise - it definitely shows, and we got so many compliments from our guests! Michelle was also amazing to work with from both the planning perspective and the day-of. Throughout the process she was very detail-oriented, organized, and thorough with all the information we needed to book her team. She was incredibly responsive to my emails and willing to answer any questions I had. On the day of my trial run, she was very meticulous in working with me to create a style that I was happy with, and on the day of the wedding it came out perfectly, even better than I had envisioned. Throughout the styling and makeup application, she explained everything step by step and also took the time to ask for my input on what I liked, which I really appreciated. In the end, I felt like a beautiful bridal version of myself - not like someone else! Finally, she helped us stick to a very organized schedule for getting ready so that we could get to the venue on time. In terms of price, I found that Love Is In The Hair was comparable to the going-rates for other companies in the area, and it was all completely worth it for how beautiful and confident we all felt and how smooth and organized the morning of the wedding was. I didn't do a trial and she created exactly what I wanted for my hair and makeup really beautiful but natural. I cannot say enough nice things about Love is in the Hair. We had a destination wedding in Tahoe and had to do almost all our planning long-distance. I reached out to Michelle and not only was she very responsive, but she was able to squeeze me in for a trial run when we were in town for our tastings (we only went to Tahoe once between finding our venue and our wedding day so this was a big deal). She was super fun and did an amazing job and I booked her right then and there! Flash forward to our wedding day and she and her team arrived early to do my hair and makeup as well hair and makeup for my 7 bridesmaids, my mother and my now mother-in-law. We all looked amazing but it was still very natural looking and the makeup and hair looked good for the whole day and night! I booked Love Is In The Hair to do make-up for my wedding and it was the BEST decision. I had such a wonderful experience and they did a phenomenal job! Michelle, Stefani and their team are the absolute best in the business. I had the pleasure of having them take care of me and my bridal party for my wedding over Memorial Day weekend 2017. I have been in a LOT of weddings and not one has ever gone as smoothly on the hair/makeup front than my own. We were actually AHEAD of schedule. Anyone who has ever been in a bridal party knows that's rare! Michelle, Stefani and their team came prepared with everything. We had amazing lights to make sure our makeup was perfect. I've never seen such a professional setup! Furthermore, my girlfriends and I felt beautiful. Being an Asian woman, I was really worried about finding a makeup artist that could do my makeup without making me look too overdone. It's really easy to do. Stephanie made me feel at ease, did my makeup EXACTLY how I wanted it, took feedback, and made me look better than I ever have before! And on top of it all, I still looked like myself. All my bridesmaids felt the same. Furthermore, my hair STAYED curly not only through my wedding, but through my going away brunch the next day! Finally, they run their business like a tight ship. They are fast to respond, had incredibly thorough responses, and were really just the most professional of vendors EVER. All while being the nicest people you could imagine. Michelle and Stefani were such a joy to have as my hair and makeup team on my wedding day! My entire bridal party LOVED their hair and makeup, and it lasted the entire night until the after party, even after dancing! Michelle and her team rock!!! From the get go, she was quick to respond to my emails, questions, etc. and to get on the phone with me to talk things out. I was reluctant to do a hair trial because of my budget, but I'm really glad that I did. Michelle really worked with me to figure out the right look and took my feedback warmly and executed it on wedding day! Her team was on time, warm and fun on the actual day. I had the BEST experience with Michelle and Love is in the Hair! From the beginning, working with her was easy and fun. Our first phone call left me feeling like we were already best friends. The trial was great, she executed my vision and we spent almost two hours getting to know each other. But the best part was how she treated me and my wedding party on my wedding day. Michelle has a bright personality, she's super social and so sweet and even ended up buying jewelry from one of my bridesmaids, who has a jewelry business, because she loved it so much!! She spent the time to understand what each of the girls wanted done and they all looked stunning. Everyone was super happy with how their hair turned out and commented on how relaxed and fun getting ready was. I was so nervous about my hair because I completely changed the style on Michelle (and by completely I mean from all the way up to all the way down and with extensions to without extensions) but she reassured me in the weeks leading up to the wedding and I could not have been more happy with my hair that day. It was comfortable and classic, but also super unique and fit my style. The combination of beautiful hair and her energy and personality made me a very happy bride. The Best. I found Love Is In the Hair by looking on Instagram and loved the hair and makeup I saw. I worked with Michelle and had my trial in Truckee. Michelle was very easy to work with, quick with communication, and listened to what I wanted. I showed her a few photos and she took it from there. It was perfect at the trial and even better on my wedding day! On the wedding day, we had 11 services, so we started early (7am!) Michelle and Stefani arrived on time, quickly set up all their stuff and were ready to started. The hair and makeup they did on me, my mom and MIL, and all bridesmaids was beautiful. The perfect mix of glamorous and natural. They kept us all calm the morning of, reminding us to breathe. :) They seemed genuinely excited to be there and excited for you. I LOVE THESE GIRSL! My sister surprised me by organizing hair and makeup, so i really didnt know what we were going to get. I was so excited when they arrived early and instantly meshed with my bridesmaids. Thanks to them, we were ahead of schedule and every single girl was in love with both their hair and makeup. I was shopping in Truckee after my second trial and mentioned it to the woman at the store. She told me that her hairdresser did bridal hair and put me in touch with Michelle. At my hair and makeup trial Michelle asked me questions about the wedding and took a genuine interest in what look I was going for. She was incredibly professional, bubbly, and funny. Plus my hair looked amazing! I knew right away I needed to book her. She helped me pick out and order the hair extensions I knew I wanted. I hadn't fully decided if I would wear my hair up or down for the wedding and leading up to the big day Michelle would send me pictures of hair styles asking which looks I liked. She never pressured me and let me decide the day of what I wanted to do. That kind of flexibility really helps when you're as indecisive as I am. The day of the wedding, Michelle, Stefani, and Shane came to my bridal suite early and set up everything they needed. They flawlessly executed hair and makeup for my entire bridal party and were incredibly efficient all morning. My friends loved them and kept saying how much fun they all had while getting ready. Michelle did my hair and makeup. The products she uses are great, they're lightweight and never smudged. I wore my hair down with loose curls and Michelle secured some gorgeous flowers in the back which stayed in place all night. She not only made me look amazing and feel so beautiful, but was super uplifting and such a positive energy to be around on my wedding day! This was the best decision I made for our wedding. I will absolutely recommend Love Is In the Hair to any bride.

Michelle is absolutely professional, talented and all around a wonderful person to have involved in your day! She remained in close contact with me as we got closer to the day and was able to work around the many curveballs and requests I sent her way. Everyone from my maid of honor to my mother in law enjoyed having her bubbly personality around and everyone looked incredible! These ladies, Stefani and Michelle, will be your wedding hair and makeup dream team. First, they are amazing. Second, they listen. Third, they are wedding industry pros. Fourth, did I mention how amazing they are? Stefani did my hair and makeup for my destination wedding in Truckee. Their home base is Folsom, CA but they service a pretty wide area of Northern California (and they will travel farther!). We did my hair trial about 4 months prior to the wedding which is unusually early but I am an engineer and I plan in buffer time and make contingency plans. Stefani worked off of a few photos and my input about the venue (outdoor on a golf course), my dress, trends versus classic. In the end, we settled on a romantic up do. She also did a trial run for my makeup - I have extremely sensitive skin and a lot of random allergies. She was able to work around all of that. I never reacted to anything she used. Stylists will always tell you not to expect the exact same hairstyle (super close but not exact). Day of, Stefani improved on the trial. I didn't think that was possible (I walked out of the salon after the trial - makeup on but hair undone and dropped my fiancé's jaw). It was amazing. I loved the style and how everything turned out. She also dos my mother in law's hair and makeup. My MIL started to cry when she saw herself, she felt so beautiful (that led to the rest of us yelling "eyelashes!!!" At each other to help stop tears). Michelle did the hair for each of my bridesmaids. She did an initial chat with each and then played up their best features and helped find a style that suited each girl. Their hair turned out amazing. So many selfies were taken that day. Oh yeah, and they did at this at the vacation home we were renting for the wedding party. They literally brought the salon to us. I was super lucky that I found them. They are excellent!

Every girl has this vision of her wedding day from what it looks like, the flowers, the dress and most importantly how beautiful you look as a bride. I always knew I wanted to look my best on my big day, but wasn’t ever really sure how to make it all happen. That’s where Michelle came into play! WOW! She’s magic! She stayed with me through the whole event making sure everything was in place and lipstick was touched up through pictures. I can’t say enough great things about Michelle and her work. Choosing and trusting someone to make you look and feel your absolute best on one of the most important and best days of your life... scary! This was the hardest part in my planning process because I always do my own makeup and I'm not from the area. I researched several places online but decided to set up a trial with Love is in the Hair because of how elegant and professional they portrayed themselves, their experience, and prices. Michelle was great! I sent some pictures of ideas that I liked and she was able to see my vision! There were a few things I wanted different (bolder) and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all letting her know. She brought all of her supplies right to my suite on the morning of my wedding (professional and on time) and did both hair and makeup for my maid of honor and I. My maid of honor loved everything and couldn't believe how calm I was all morning.
