I was even more assured of that when we did engagement photos. It was misty and drizzling the entire time and my fiancé and I had never done professional photos before. We laughed, she took away all the nerves and we got stunning photos. Fast forward to wedding week, sure enough, forecast showed rain. I texted Jackie in a panic as I really wanted outdoor photos. Her response to me, don’t you worry about it. She had a whole plan already devised. Day of the wedding we went outside every time there was a break in the rain, she accommodated any request I had and there was a slight mishap with my first look with my dad which sent me into a spiral. She was right there to talk me down. The day was dark/gray/pouring on and off and Jackie captured the most beautiful photos. You would never know the weather was bad. Wedding photographers are investment and you want someone who is going to be there for you and take the stress off you. Jackie is the only option. o not show is how great she is to work with, from early planning to shooting the day-of. We are so thrilled we chose her to capture our wedding. From our very first interactions, Jackie made a personal connection with us. She even traveled down to New York City to shoot our engagement photos in Central Park, which was a tremendous experience. When shooting, she was incredibly confident and purposeful in her creative vision, while still making things fun and easygoing so that we never once felt awkward in front of the camera (we usually do!). On the wedding day, Jackie was exactly the professional you want by your side. Her presence and direction were strong when we needed to wrangle family for portraits, including toddlers!. But she also somehow managed to completely blend into the background at just the right times. During all of our major moments, we forgot she was there (in the absolute best way possible). It allowed us to stay fully present and just enjoy our day while she captured the genuine, candid emotions as they happened. We also have to give a massive shoutout to her assistant, Andrea, who helped provide coverage throughout the day. Andrea's enthusiasm was totally infectious and brought such a fun, positive energy to our wedding. The two of them made a fantastic team. Both Jackie and Andrea did an incredible job of scouting out perfect locations in and around Branford House, when we realized our original plan of capturing primarily outdoor photos had to be adjusted due to extremely high wind gusts. Their expertise allowed us to feel confident in where the photos were being shot. They also braved the elements with us to get a few dramatic shots outside (even holding coats for us while we ran from spot to spot!) We adore the final photos we got, which came surprisingly quickly. Big moments, little moments; compositions, candids; photos of friends, family, and loved ones - they all look beautiful and feel authentically "us." We'll cherish these pictures and memories for a lifetime. We got a handful of sneak peek shots a few weeks after the wedding, which was exciting, followed by the full set of photos a few weeks after that.
