When my husband and I were planning our wedding Chris and his team came HIGHLY recommended to us from a few couples and we are SO thankful we went with him. He and his team did not disappoint. The dance floor was full all night long, he was easy to work with, and very accommodating. Not to mention when I first called Chris asking him about different venues and idea for a wedding he was nothing but kind and honest with all questions I had! So happy to have gone with Chris as our wedding DJ. I do not have enough great things to say about him and his team. I told him we wanted our reception to feel like a big party and he DELIVERED! We had a packed dance floor the whole night and everyone had such a good time. Multiple guests have told us that they have never seen so many people on the dancefloor at a wedding. When going through our reception video clips, you can hear me say multiple times, “he gets my vibe” and he really does. He made sure to talk to us prior to our wedding to get to really know us and know what we wanted out of our night and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. We got the sparklers through him and it was such a fun addition. It made our entrance and first dance pop! These were also super fun once the dancefloor opened up and everyone loved them. We also used the digital photobooth from him and this speaks for itself. Always such a fun time and our guests loved it. We would highly recommend Chris to anyone who asks us and cannot thank him enough! I cannot wait to go to weddings where he is DJing in the future!

DJ Chris is a must to have at your wedding. Not only does he get the party started (and keep it going), he is extremely professional, caring and accommodating. You can tell he truly cares about making sure his clients have the best night of their lives. He played at our wedding as well as my sister in-laws and hopefully will play at another family wedding soon. We can't thank Chris enough for all that he did to make sure our special day was perfect. Chris is the DJ you NEED to go with!!!! He is so easy to work with and exceeded our expectations. We would look out at the tables at our wedding from the Dance-floor and no one would be sitting at them. It was impossible to leave the Dance-floor. Chris just kept playing to the crowd and played banger after banger. It has been days since our wedding and I am still getting text messages from people saying they cannot believe how great of a DJ we had and that it is the best DJ they have ever seen at a wedding before. If you are going to splurge on anything for your wedding, this needs to be what you splurge on. This was worth every penny. Chris made sure to create a fun party atmosphere where it was almost impossible to resist dancing. I cannot express well enough in writing how great of an experience this was.

If you are even considering booking Chris for your wedding, do not hesitate just do it! While planning our June 2023 wedding we attended a friends wedding that Chris was the DJ at. Having seen him in action we instantly knew that we had to have him for our own wedding. We got his info at the end of the night and booked with him the next business day! Chris was so easy to work with and really listened to what we had envisioned for our special day! When we had a special request to do a mash up of two songs he worked diligently to really perfect the transition. The ceremony music was beautiful and the dance floor was packed the entire night! We hired Chris for our July 2023 wedding and he was hands down the best decision we made when it came to choosing a DJ for our wedding. Chris is much more than your average DJ, before we even booked Chris he took the time out of his day to have a phone call for us to chat to get to know eachother and what we were looking for our wedding. Chris is extremely personable and I knew right away that he would make our wedding a night to remember. As we got closer to our wedding day Chris took the time to meet with us in person to review every detail of our ceremony and reception. He even called me the day before to see if we had any last minute questions or changes. On our wedding night the dance floor was PACKED. Chris even surprised us with an engagement picture and lyrics to our first dance displayed at the front of his DJ booth which was such a nice touch. Our guests are still raving about him and recently engaged friends are asking for his contact info because he was THAT good. If you are thinking about hiring Chris to DJ your wedding/event, DO IT! He was so amazing from the second we hired him. We were able to fill out “must play lists” and “do not play lists” in addition to having meetings with him to describe the vibe we wanted for our wedding. I wish there was a way to give Chris 5 million stars because that's what he deserves! Chris was BEYONDDDD amazing and literally gave my husband and I the BEST wedding ever! We had so many people reaching out to us after saying he was the best DJ they've ever seen! When planning, we wanted all of our guests to be dancing all night, and let me tell you... every single person was on that dance floor ALL NIGHT! He played the exact music we wanted, and was amazing at reading the crowd. Our dance floor was so packed that people were spilling into the tables and still dancing! DJ Chris was the most EPIC DJ at our wedding. He guided us with ease into the music process of the wedding. If you're looking for a DJ, look no further! We had people on the dance floor for 3+ hours STRAIGHT!! The music was incredible and Chris mixes songs perfectly. He made us feel confident and supported the entire day. Chris was our DJ for our wedding this December and he was fantastic. Not only did he play great music but he helped create a great father daughter dance song. Chris was our favorite vendor to work with. He was extremely organized and helpful in our planning process, quick to respond to emails when I had questions or updates and accommodating when it came to requests for the big day. After initially consulting with Chris a year before our wedding, I told him I was thinking of a song for the father/daughter dance but wasn’t sure of the length and didn’t particularly like a verse in the song. He ended up sending me an edited version of the song that same night after meeting before I even signed the contract with him. Chris goes above and beyond, and he made our day so special. The dancefloor was full from start to finish, my family even asking for an encore. He played the few songs we asked for and knew how to get the crowd pumping. I especially appreciated Chris eye to detail. My fiancé’s family is Slovakian, so a lot of his family name intros were tough to pronounce. Chris asked a few different times how to pronounce everything to make sure he got it just right. Thank you for everything, Chris – it was an absolute pleasure working with you!

CHRIS IS AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things about him and his team. I first heard him at a friend's wedding and knew immediately I had to have him at my own - he is an expert at setting the right vibe, assessing the mood of the room, and pumping up the party! My dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT. He DJ'ed for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and was the perfect emcee. Not only is he an amazing DJ, but he is also the utmost professional - every single time I reached out to him with a question or comment, he would give me a call and talk through my thoughts! DJ CJ! The star the of the show (minus the Bride and Groom of course)! I can’t say enough great things about Chris. Picking a DJ that you have never heard in person prior to your wedding can be a bit intimidating, but we were so impressed by Chris’s professionalism. He allowed us to give him a playlist during cocktail hour, as well as request our top songs to be played throughout our special night. He absolutely nailed each song! Our guests of all ages are still texting us a few later reminiscing on how awesome our dance floor was. Chris was front and center entertainment and truly exceeded expectations. Prior to the event during our final meeting, we mapped out when the speeches, first dance songs and announcements would go. He kept our schedule to a T, which can be difficult with so much action going on! The photobooth, as always, was a huge hit! We were so excited to get all that footage the day after. Chris was AMAZING!! We told him that we wanted everyone on the dance floor as much as possible, and he truly delivered. He is GREAT at reading the room and playing music that will be something for everyone. Even my grandmother was dancing away! He was always responsive to my (many) emails, and was just a pleasure to be around. Our amazing night was definitely made possible by the amazing music fueling the dance floor!!

I'd like to start out by saying I think I've only left less than 5 reviews on anything my entire life, however, I absolutely could not help it when it came to Chris. He is absolutely TOP TIER. He has a real gift when it comes to mixing music, reading the crowd, and keeping guests on their feet the entire night. He is extremely professional and communicated with my fiance and I during the weeks and months leading up to the wedding to ensure we got exactly what we desired. My guests were in complete awe of Chris. We even extended our time with Chris because our entire guest list was still ripping up the dance floor! 10000% recommend this man!!! I’m not from the capital region so when it came to picking vendors I had to trust the reviews I read online. All of the reviews for Chris are 100% accurate!! Chris is an amazing DJ and I highly recommend hiring him. While planning he was always extremely quick to respond and happily answered all of my questions. All of the music he played at my wedding was amazing!! Everyone was dancing the entire night. My guests raved about the music. I can’t recommend enough!

Chris was fantastic and had everyone on the dance floor the whole night!!!! Guests said his music made them get up and dance! Chris was very easy to work with and kept the party going. We had a few requests that he played and created a fun playlist for the rest of the night. I would recommend the tower sparklers as well. They were a crowed stopper and added the perfect touch!

Chris and his assistant Dan were both SO amazing on our wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, Chris was quick to respond to any emails and questions we had. He was extremely helpful with planning our ceremony and reception songs, since my husband and I were both so indecisive about our song choices! His Spotify has a variety of options to choose from that were super helpful. Our dance floor was packed the entire wedding night! Chris played a combination of music to please the older crowd as well as the younger crowd. My mother in law actually said to us on the phone, “I’ve never been to a wedding where there was that much dancing and that many people on the dance floor!” Thank you so much for everything Chris!

DJ Chris and his assistant, Dan, were absolutely phenomenal! Courteous, personable, professional, communicative and most importantly, excellent at getting people dancing! Any time we had a question, he was quick to respond and always made himself available in case we needed a quick phone call. On our big day, Chris sought us out, introduced himself and his assistant, and was very communicative during every phase of the day; from the ceremony to the reception, down to when it was time to really pump up the music, and when we were nearing the end of the night. Our venue even mentioned they are going to add them to their list of recommended vendors! Another plus was that our Photographer had worked a wedding with Chris before, and he was highly recommended by her. We had a vision in mind for our ceremony, and they absolutely nailed it! We were so thrilled by how smooth everything went, it couldn’t have been more perfect. As for the reception, many people at our wedding were raving about the great selection of songs, and how well they transitioned from one to the next. We are so thankful for finding Chris, and would recommend him and his team in a heartbeat!

We LOVE DJ Chris! From the start, Chris was always super responsive and answered the many (and I mean many) questions I had within a 24 hour time period. When we first met Chris via Zoom (thanks COVID!), we immediately knew he had to be our DJ. His energy is contagious and he truly knows his music. At our wedding, there was not a single lull on the dance floor thanks to his mixing. Most importantly he stuck to our playlist! He is incredibly organized and professional, and gives you access to this portal to help organize the ceremony and reception music, which we found super helpful. He is very responsive to messages. He was so flexible and understanding when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID. Whenever we met, you could tell he totally knew what he was doing, and was helpful in providing suggestions whenever we were being indecisive (e.g. we didn't want to do walk-in intros to the reception and he came up with a very thoughtful idea where my dad did the welcome and invited my husband and I to our first dance, which was so cute). And he NAILED IT with the music for the reception. We and most of our guests we dancing pretty much the whole time (until midnight!). Everyone had an amazing time and many commented on how great the music was. He did a great job combining music for both the younger and older end of the spectrum. Chris will be your favorite vendor, he is the best, BOOK HIM IF YOU CAN.

He has this amazing ability to read the room and select the perfect mixture of songs to keep everyone happy and on the dance floor. I was worried because we had invited an older crowd but during our pre-wedding meeting he quelled all my worries about satisfying my needs for “2010 college jams” and songs that will get everyone up and moving. I truly cannot say enough good things about DJ Chris! First, he is extremely responsive and made me very at ease during the planning process. We had many last minute changes because of covid, and DJ Chris was very adaptable and worked with us the entire way. The music was AMAZING… the dance floor was packed the entire night. I loved that transitions that Chris did to maximize the songs played. He was spot on with song selection! I had so many guests come up to me at the end saying that our DJ was great and kept the party going through the night! Chris also made the music personable and added a bonus slow song at the end that my fiancé and I wanted. Love of Music is a must have at your events. Chris is great to work with and will curate the event of your dreams, as he absolutely did so with our wedding. Although our wedding was subject to the COVID dance restrictions, he did a great job making sure our guests were singing along and having a great time all night long. I wish there were more stars to put for this review. DJ Chris went above and beyond and made our wedding day the best day ever! The communication from day one was nothing but the best. He always got back to us the day we had a question. With COVID, we decided to have a small wedding with 30 people, and switched venues, and that was not a problem with DJ Chris. At our wedding, he was THE BEST MC, and the music flowed so well. We requested to have him stay for an extra hour because the party did not want to stop! Thank you DJ Chris!!!

Chris was amazing!! He was personable and funny!!! We talked multiple times in the year leading up to the wedding, every once in awhile he would call or text just to check in. Chris was also the DJ for my sisters wedding three years ago. He remembered a while back we had some family health problems around my sisters wedding and check in to see if we needed anything. Chris even made me a fun father daughter dance mix tape for my dad and I. I would recommend Chris to every couple!!

Chris is an absolute must have for your wedding or next private event. Due to covid 19 our wedding was postponed this year, but we decided to have a small intimate event this year for family only . Chris was there every step of the way and helped us make the best of a tough situation. Chris played at the bridal shower which was forced to be a drive by setting . His music made the day fun and memorable. He then played for our small intimate cermoney this year in which he got my 94 year old grandma in the dance floor ! Love of Music (Albany, NY) - Chris Johnston - My husband and I are from Long Island, so you can imagine the struggle we had trying to find the perfect DJ for our upstate brewery wedding. We came across Chris's page and immediately emailed him. Once we heard some samples, we knew he was the one we needed to use. He came to meet us at the brewery when we came to see the venue again and he blew us out of the water. Everything he said was exactly what we wanted. He really understood our vision. Chris is not just a DJ but hes such an amazing producer and it definitely showed at the wedding! He had everyone on the dance the entire night! He knew when to play each song and knew when to slow things down. He's not an MC where he talks in the mic the whole night - he stays right behind the booth (which is exactly ehat we were looking for). We loved that he was just as excited as we were. Chris is such a great guy and we would recommend him to ANYONE!

Attended my best friend's wedding this past weekend as a bridesmaid. Once that dance floor opened up, NO ONE LEFT IT. Chris was an awesome DJ and created the best wedding party I've ever seen. So much fun!

If you're looking for a DJ to keep your dance floor packed all night and make it easy to work with him look no further than Love of Music! Chris is the absolute best. We had various phone calls throughout the whole process, which kept me informed and also gave me reassurance of our choice. He absolutely delivered on the genre of music we had asked for. He made sure to mix it up throughout the night and gave us seamless transitions. One guest said "not one bad song played" which was 100% true. It was nice to not have to worry about a thing from the beginning because I knew he had our back. He makes you laugh, amps up the wedding party and brings an awesome crew to assist him. What more can I say but if you haven't booked yet go ahead and do so!

Chris seriously knocked it out of the park! The hubbs and I are big EDM fans, but we know we probably shouldn't play hardcore EDM at our wedding as most people wouldn't know any of the songs. Chris worked with us to find the best remixes to pop songs that everyone would know, but would still have that dance music flair we were looking for. He really saw our music vision - from the beginning of the ceremony down to the very last song of the night! I had people come up to me afterward and say "I haven't danced like that in years!". It was the absolute perfect night :D

Chris was THE BEST. He was great in the planning process--quick to respond and helpful with everything we needed. I had a few specific requests that I was very straight forward about, and he was super accommodating and willing to do what was important to us. He was also willing to be honest about our ideas based on his professional experience, which we valued, because we wanted our people to have a good time! He brought a number of suggestions that elevated the experience for all of our guests and wedding party. The actual dancing was incredible. He had a really good mix of old and new songs that everyone enjoyed, and he knew how to keep our people energized and play off the energy in the room. We didn't leave the dance floor the entire night. I was undoubtedly more picky about this aspect of my wedding than anything else, and Chris totally delivered. 10/10 would recommend.

Best DJ! Thank you Chris!

Chris is nothing short of amazing. From our very first phone call with him to the talent he showcased at our reception. My husband and I were on the dance floor the whole night, including our guests! He was able to understand the vibe we were going for during dinner and then transition smoothly into a more upbeat tone so that everyone was willing to show off their dance moves. He really keeps the party going, and my husband and I could not have been happier. He really is one of a kind! Our guests keep asking for his information and can't stop complimenting us on our choice in DJ's. You will not go wrong with Chris, and with any event you choose him for it will be top of the line, and the party will not stop. Chris, Mike and I can't thank you enough for all of your hard work!

DJ Chris Johnston created an amazing set directly centered around our and the bulk of our guests' tastes. He worked with us to coordinate introductions, first dances and is truly a DJ who knows what he is doing - mixing songs from a variety of genres and showing his talent as a DJ who knows how to work the crowd. We wish he had recorded the set he did for the reception as it was LIT - with guests doing a group crab dance to merengue later on in the night. THANK YOU!

Our team of vendors was incredible, but it may have been Chris who got the most compliments from our guests! Though this review is long overdue, people are still letting us know what a great time they had at our reception, singling out how great they thought Chris was and how much fun they had. Leading up to the big day, Chris meets with you several times to discuss your musical tastes and is incredible at coordinating requests from both the bride and the groom. If you have a band or song you like, Chris knows how to work it into the lineup and his knowledge and experience of how to please a crowd should not be overlooked. At our reception, once Chris took over the mic, we were immediately at ease and his professional and affable demeanor set the right tone for the rest of the night. He has a knack for taking the temperature of the room and easily adapts to any situation, making sure the dance floor is packed the entire time. This is not a guy who sets up a predetermined playlist and checks out, but instead, he remains engaged they entire time, mixing and matching, changing the pace and overall ensuring everyone is having a great time. No matter what your music taste or what you are looking for in a reception, we are confident Chris will be an excellent choice. Chris, thanks again for making our reception absolutely awesome.

Chris was amazing! Such a professional, but also a great guy. He made the entire process so easy! The dance floor at our wedding was packed ALL night and the music was always on. point. He kept the music versatile enough to please all guests and everyone kept saying how awesome of a DJ he was. We used him 5 years ago for our wedding and just used him recently for our baby shower. He is an excellent DJ. Very organized and really in tune to what the client really wants. Chris was the absolute BEST! I am so happy we hired him for our wedding. He is so easy to work with, was always responsive, and is extremely professional. Chris is THE DJ of all DJs. He played music at my sister’s wedding 4 years ago and I knew then and there that I wanted him to DJ at my wedding as well. Chris knows how to keep the party going. Plain and simple. He created an epic, seamless mix and also encouraged guests to make song requests. I couldn’t have asked for a more lively, entertaining reception. Chris was the perfect DJ for our Lake Placid wedding in August! He is a true DJ that mixes in and out of songs seamlessly and knows how to keep people on the dance floor at all times. He is friendly, fun, and overall was so great around us and our guests the entire evening. His planning website and pre-wedding meetings with us were extremely helpful and made the entire process very easy on us. He gave great advice on how we could incorporate the wedding activities -- first dance, cake cutting, etc -- so everything would flow nicely into the dance portion of the reception. While we gave some must-play songs and provided a general idea of the music we were expecting, we mostly said "we trust you" and asked him to do his thing -- he nailed every part of the night, including the ceremony, intros, and keeping us on schedule, and we couldn't have been happier! Our wedding guests have been giving Chris nothing but compliments since and we have continued to hear that Chris was the best wedding DJ they've seen! We agree and cannot thank Chris enough for everything! We highly recommend him!

Where do I even begin?! Chris was amazing! He was so easy to work with, professional, flexible, and kept the dance floor packed all night long! From the very beginning I knew he would be the perfect fit for our wedding day. He was detail oriented, easy to talk to, he made sure the order of our events flowed together smoothly, and his online planning system was so great and easy to use! Every generation of our family was dancing when he got the party started after dinner. Even my 85 year old grandfather (who I have NEVER seen dance at a wedding) was dancing all night long! Chris was amazing- he kept the dance floor packed all night! He went above and beyond to make sure the night ran smoothly, that we heard all the songs we wanted, and that our guests stayed dancing! - Chris was recommended to us by one of our bridesmaids (when we first got engaged) and boy am I so glad she introduced us! I knew he would be the PERFECT dj for our wedding from the moment we first spoke on the phone, about a year ago. My husband and I were married this past weekend, on 7/14/18, and our legs are STILL sore from all of the dancing (4 days later)! Throughout the entire planning process Chris was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, honest and readily available. I often would e-mail Chris after work and only minutes later he was calling me… if that isn’t stellar communication then I don’t know what is! Chris not only met our expectations, he EXCEEDED them and helped us to throw an epic party!! Throughout the planning process Chris was upfront and helped guide us through every decision to make sure our day would be perfect! On the day of our wedding Chris’s attention to detail was superlative, he stuck to the schedule and was flexible by allowing the guests to also guide the evening. This was apparent when the dinner music was so good that our guests filled up the dance floor before their plates could be cleared, which led to us moving back our cake cutting. The cake cutting, which was supposed to be in front of everyone, ended up being done in private because our guests were too busy dancing THE WHOLE NIGHT to be interrupted (this was suggested by Chris and our coordinator but ultimately left up to us). Chris was able to get our least expected guests out of their seats and onto the dance floor! We had the dance floor packed for 4 straight hours, which is exactly what my husband and I asked for! I cannot say enough amazing things about Chris and his services! He even surprised us with a personalized monogram that he later shared with us via email! Many of our guests said, and are still saying, that our wedding “set a high standard for weddings to follow” and that it was “the best wedding they have ever been to”. We have Love of Music/ Chris Johnston to thank for that!!!! Chris and his team are not your average wedding entertainment… they are so much more!! Chris was the DJ for our March wedding and we could not have picked a better DJ! We first heard Chris at a friends wedding and knew we had to book him after hearing him work! Chris was so much fun to work with, we loved planning the wedding playlist with him and his online system made it so easy to do! Chris is amazing. I feel like a lot of people don’t take the time to do their research into DJ’s. Well boy did we research and from the first time we talked with Chris on the phone we knew he would be the perfect fit for our wedding day. He knows what he is doing. And his mixes, well they are out of this world. He is exactly what we were looking for in a DJ. After all, a DJ is what keeps the party going. And boy did Chris keep the party going all. Night. Long. After the wedding, we got so many compliments about how awesome our DJ was. He played the perfect variety of songs and never once let the dance floor die down. On top of that, he’s more than just a DJ who stands behind his equipment. He made sure that we remained on schedule, he accommodated when speeches went a little longer than scheduled. He’s quick on his feet and comforting. We knew the entire night that we did not have to worry once.
