Love Plus One Wedding DJs

Incredibly happy I booked Love Plus One for my wedding. I specifically chose them because they have great reviews and also because they use an online portal where clients can pick out the music, timeline, and other details. We had the ceremony package, up lights, and reception. Our DJ, Rob, was awesome!! Everything from the ceremony, to the grand entrances, all the announcements, the cocktail hour music, the dinner music, and of course open dancing, went SEAMLESSLY. He played all the right music at the right time. There were no awkward gaps. Everyone was out on the dance floor having a blast. We had so many people tell us how fun our wedding was. We even had a couple people say that it was the most fun they’ve had at a wedding. That’s honestly thanks to Rob!

Our DJ Evan did a great job. We really appreciate the care put into the ceremony sound to make sure everyone could hear. Our guests were very happy. The dancing at the reception was super fun and the music choices were great! We also appreciate Evan ending a little earlier than originally planned because the party was dying down a bit. So we asked to end earlier than we thought, which wasn’t a problem for Evan.

DJ Steve was amazing! He surpassed any and all expectations that we had. During the call that I had with Darren upon initially booking, I had shared that my fiancé and I weren't big dancers and that I didn't anticipate our guests would be either. Well, DJ Steve kept everyone out on the dance floor until the end of the wedding. Booking Love Plus One may be one of the best wedding decisions that we made!

Recently got married!! My husband and I love music and dancing, so picking a DJ was so important to us. From the beginning of the wedding process, Darren had amazing communication! He answered all our questions, and really took the time to listen to what we wanted. Our DJ Mike was fantastic and had everyone out on the dance floor!! He had a great personality and a lot of energy. It’s exactly what you want for a vendor!!!

My wife and I used Love Plus One for our wedding DJ and could not be happier with how the day went. Darren was easy and responsive leading up to the big day, and paired us with the perfect DJ, Mike. The dance floor never let up and everyone told us how much they fun they had after. I would highly recommend them for your wedding.

Our DJ Mike was awesome! He did a great job, the dance floor was never empty. We had a great call with him a few days before the wedding and we discovered we had similar tastes in music as he does, so that made it extra fun to work with him. We Love Plus One as our wedding DJ and couldn't have been more happy with the service they provided. We were extremely lucky to have DJ Shortstop assigned to our wedding. He made suggestions in our timeline that he saw gaps in, ran everything smoothly, easily accommodated a live first dance song, and a few unique songs/dances to our wedding, and knew exactly the vibe we were going for. He rocked the dance floor for us all night. I would recommend them to any that asks. Thank you Love Plus One and DJ Shortstop for everything!!!

Darren was great from the get-go. He was professional and always answered any questions we had promptly. He even hunted down a hard to find song that I wanted for my bridal entrance down the aisle. And the online music planner was SO helpful and one of the reasons we chose them in the first place. The reason we're not giving 5 stars is because there were a few minor hiccups with DJ Steve. Pros He set up early and quickly Didn't play anything off the do not play list Professional in manner and attire Played pretty good music during dancing and engaged with the crowd Played most of the important songs at the right time (more on that below) Cons Didn't switch the bridal party processional song to the bride processional song. So we had to wait for a long song to almost finish while all the guests were standing and waiting. A guest ended up checking on us and then told him to switch it. It doesn't seem like a huge deal, but it was really awkward, especially with all the runaway bride jokes we got for the rest of the night. We felt like his choice of dinner music was odd. It was old and jazzy (like instrumental jazz) which was the opposite of what we said we wanted during our meeting earlier in the week. We said we wanted a young vibe for the night, and he had plenty of songs suggested on the music planner we filled out. To his credit, when we asked him to change it to more modern stuff, he did. Lastly, this wasn't necessarily a con but something we would've liked to have been asked about; clean versions vs explicit. Towards the end of the night, we had some songs we wanted played, but they ended up being the clean version, which just isn't as fun to us. We just wanted to scream dance to Get Low lol. So I would just suggest asking future couple about their preference on explicit vs. Clean. All in all, we were happy with the company in general, but a little disappointed with the hiccups on the night.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience!! From the first day we selected Love Plus One Wedding DJ's, everyone involved was super punctual and really put our dream in motion! We loved that we were able to plan our night with our online planner, then about a week before our reception with talked with DJ Shortstop (Vinny) on the phone and he made sure that he really got a feel for how we wanted everything that night! Not only was DJ Shortstop our DJ that night (and did an AMAZING JOB!!) but when I was super nervous before coming out, he calmed my nerves. I HIGHLY recommend this company, you can tell they have been around for a while and that the DJ's are super happy with their job! Their playlist was out of this world! The DJ also helped us with selecting "must play" songs and gave us tips on how we should roll out some of the songs (dad/daughter dance, etc.). We will definitely use them again!

DJ Steve was awesome! He was super fun and knew how to get the crowd excited. He was helpful and flexible with all the microphone needs and helped make the day go very smoothly. Couldn't be happier!

Steve kept our party going all night! Was super interactive with our crowd in the best way! Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had! The online planner was so easy to work with as well. Darren was super responsive with any questions we had!

Steve did an excellent job--period. He was very flexible with the logistics we needed -- helping us provide music and audio in both the Loft and Rooftop areas. He was very communicative both before and during our reception. Steve started our pre-reception phone call with saying "I do everything that the bride and groom want". And that's exactly what he did. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say! Thank you to Steve for playing such an integral role in our reception incredibly well and professionally!

Love Plus One was a dream to work with. Darren was kind, informative, and helpful when searching for our DJ vendor and continued supporting and answering questions we had leading up to our event. DJ Mike was so kind, fantastic, fun, and spot-on. He was well prepared during our intro call and superb for on-site support. He supported our requests and timelines while also making sure it was fun for everyone. Even if they weren't a good idea, he played all the songs I (the bride) asked for. Not only was our wedding one of the most special days of our life, it was so so incredible to work with the ENTIRE team and DJ Shortstop. Vinnie was fantastic and such a comfort throughout the day he was incredible and we are so thankful for how he kept the party going. We are more than pleased :)

LOVE this vendor!! Darren, the owner, is absolutely amazing to work with - he is great at communication, organization, and was so nice and easy to work with. Truly it was the best day ever, we talk about it and agree that nothing could have gone better :) Vinnie was amazing!!! I loved working with Love Plus One. The owner contacted us and helped us understand the way the online planner works and went through every detail with us. He's very nice. Using the online planner was very easy! My husband and I liked that we could pick our own music if it wasn't already on the planner website. We had DJ Mike for our wedding. He was amazing! He nailed pronouncing our super long last name. He's very kind and charismatic, he knew how to keep the party going!

Love Plus One was wonderful to work with! I could tell right away from my initial phone call with Darren how passionate he is about this business and how wonderful they were going to make our wedding day! The planning process was so easy thanks to their Online Entertainment Planner, but Darren was always a quick email away if I ever had any questions about anything! Love Plus One was amazing to work with during the planning process, especially because of the Online Entertainment Planner which made it SO easy to select songs and provide all necessary information for our DJ! Darren was also super efficient at answering any questions I had. DJ Mike was great and did everything we asked, although he did play some line dances when I specifically asked to avoid cheesy, “typical” wedding reception music - and he didn’t really do much in terms of switching out songs if the dance floor was starting to empty. Overall, I think the night went well, but if I had to do it over again I would be more specific about what I wanted in terms of dance music!

Such a great experience with Love Plus One! Darren was super helpful and patient with us during the planning process. Their online planner was probably what I was most excited about when hiring Love Plus One - it ended up being super easy to use, great for song suggestions for different parts of the night, and all of the must play songs and notes that we put in to go with them were executed perfectly throughout the night. You guys...BOOK DJ ROB B. We first spoke on the phone to Rob in the week leading up to our wedding, and I remember the minute we got off the phone, we looked at each other and thought...wow, this guy is good. He was so enthusiastic, yet relaxed, and you could really tell he was listening and excited to help us. In the days leading up to the wedding, we had some changes on entrance & first dance music, he was available via text and would respond within minutes and rolled with all the punches without breaking a sweat. One of our biggest wishes for our wedding was to have a huge dance party, and Rob DELIVERED! It was hit after hit, truly. We had huge smiles writing this review because of how incredible he was. Huge thank you to Rob & the Love Plus One team...we are forever grateful!

Darren and our DJ did a great job, and I received many compliments from guests after how much they enjoyed him. For example, it was clear he put in a ton of extra time/effort to make my husband’s grand entrance vision come to life and get the audience into it, and that was especially appreciated. We had an amazing experience at our wedding with Love Plus One! DJ Rob kept the party going all night, accommodated guest requests, and played all of our selected songs. The music is such a large part of the night and Love Plus One did not disappoint!

We had a really excellent experience with Love Plus One. As we were trying to find the right entertainment, my husband and I had a great introductory call with Darren. He made us feel at ease and that Love Plus One could deliver the fun, but chill, vibe we were looking for. In the months leading up to our wedding, we appreciated the online entertainment planner to help us get all of our details set. Darren was also really helpful and responsive when we had questions. We had a call with DJ Rob B about a week before our wedding to finalize details - he was able to accommodate our (fairly specific) first dance song requests easily and made us feel well-prepared for the day. On the wedding day, DJ Rob B was a huge hit. He played all of our favorites and really kept the party going. He quickly figured out what our guests were into and set a super fun and welcoming vibe that lasted all night. The dance floor was packed until the lights came up at the end of the night!

Darren the owner was great to work with in preparation for our event with an easy to use client portal and our DJ Steve. He both allowed us to represent who we were as individuals but also ensuring our eccentric and eclectic musical taste did not negatively impact the vibe of our wedding.

Love Plus One DJ’d our wedding and it was such a perfect time! Mike was our DJ and was wonderful to communicate with for meetings but also day of he was so nice to our guests and love that he had no issues with all the “odd” song choices we had for a more diverse and punk themed playlist lol Thank you so much for being the best and having fun with all of us. I would recommend Love Plus One to everyone! I had consult calls with numerous DJ companies before I had my call with Darren, and nobody compared. He is professional, helpful, accommodating, and so thorough. The online planner that was provided was very easy to use and made it so easy to choose our important songs and plan out the day. After the wedding, I continued listening to this band and checked out the rest of their discography! We had such an incredible night!

Darren and DJ ShortStop were both a pleasure to work with, we are so glad we booked Love Plus One for our wedding! Due to some logistical changes at our venue, we had to have multiple meetings with Darren and he was so awesome at helping us figure out what would be best for us. They also had an online entertainment planner which helped us think about our timeline and how we wanted our event to flow, as well as make song requests for each part of the night. I really appreciated the attention to detail in our event planning and involvement in making both song and announcement suggestions. Every guest made it on the dance floor and enjoyed the music! I would highly recommend this company and DJ ShortStop to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding!

Our wedding was awesome and we were very happy with DJ Shortstop. Even still when we run into people that attended, they have been very complimentary on how fun the wedding was and that they liked the DJ. For such a unique venue where people had the opportunity to walk around, I think Vinnie did a great job keeping the crowd engaged and bringing different groups of people onto the dance floor at different times.

When multiple guests come up to you at the end of the night asking if they can get the DJs playlist, you know they absolutely crushed it!!!! Music to us is everything and we wanted everything choice the be perfect. We had so much fun working with Darren and his team! We had DJ Mike for our wedding, and we are so happy we did! From the first time speaking with Mike, we knew we were vibin’ and grew up listening to the same style of music. He had everyone on the dance floor at some point throughout the night with the mix he had going. The online tool Darren provides was a big help in getting the music organized for each part of the wedding. Thank you both so much for your talents and patience with the delays!!!

Love Plus One was a fabulous DJ company to work with. Darren, the owner, was great from start to finish and was amazing at communicating. We loved using the wedding planner to design our events music and playlist. DJ Vinnie was great and kept the party going all night, accommodating guest requests and impromptu event changes like adding in a bouquet toss. We had so much fun all night long. The only issue we had was with the acoustics in the room, it was a bit difficult for people further away from the mic to hear the speeches. But besides that, everything went really well. From the very first phone meeting we knew they were the Djs for us. You can feel their good energy right from the phone. We had Dj Vinnie and he was absolutely amazing. He was very helpful with some of his suggestions as well that we went with some of them and it was a perfect flow. Very on top of making sure everything I wanted happened as well. I feel bad that there wasn't much of a "fight" for my "pusheen" toss for him lol I know one day he'll witness a good "fight" though lol

We had a great experience working with Mike. My husband and I gave him a vague direction/idea of our style, and he was able to run with it. Our guests had a great time - nearly everyone made it to the dance floor for at least a few songs. The music selections during the cocktail hour/dinner were perfect and really helped set the vibe we wanted. 10/10 would recommend.

Our experience with Love Plus One Wedding DJs was better than expected. As everyone knows, COVID changed our initial plans which resulted in pushing our wedding date for an entire year. They were kind enough to accomodate this for us. When it came time to plan our wedding day, their online song planning tool gave us a great structured and even made us think about things we had not thought about. One week prior to the wedding day, DJ Mike gave us a call to iron out all the details. It gave us such great relief because we felt we were in good hands. Lastly, Mike was great. I am really happy he was there with us. He took our last minute requests and made the event great. I would recommend Love Plus One Wedding DJs.

DJ Steve was amazing! I had such a great time and he was so fun to work with. The day was perfect and everything we wanted. Steve was wonderful, I have received many compliments. People were impressed that they could hear the ceremony in the back. My other friend getting married soon mentioned how cool it was that the speakers were set up so the DJ just went from one area to the next - I told her that was all the DJ who managed all of that. The dance floor was rocking - my mother in law gave compliments to the DJ! They just went to another wedding she called 'boring' with nobody on the dance floor.... a total opposite to ours. Most professional, organized and streamlined, DJ service I've ever encountered. Worth every dollar spent. He went above and beyond when we almost had our live ceremony music band cancel a few days before the wedding. Luckily that didn't happen, but he did everything he could to be available and for us. DJ Vinnie was awesome!! Seriously, couldn’t have done a better job. Really appreciated the time he took to go over the details about everything on our first meeting. After speaking with him, we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about any of the ceremony or dance music logistics. Kept the dance floor moving and great song choices. I also really appreciated how nice he was to my MOH who was really nervous abt giving her speech and the logistics of going up to the mic and everything. I know she kept asking him abt it and he was really patient and helpful abt it- I know her and I both appreciate that.

DJ Mike was fantastic! He was super easy to work with, great about checking in to confirm timing of important moments/songs, and did an awesome job playing a variety of music. Even after only briefly meeting us by phone, he was able to embrace our personalities as a couple with his selections. A great example is that we mentioned how much we love John Williams and he ended up playing all John Williams music for the pre-ceremony music. I could go on, but honestly, he was perfect for our special day. Thanks so much to Darren, the owner, for all he did leading up to our event end for having such an awesome DJ on staff. I have no doubt that we would choose them again if we ever have need for a DJ in the future.

Vinnie (DJ shortstop) did a fantastic job DJing / MCing for our wedding. He was flexible and able to adjust on-the-go to make sure that people were enjoying the dance floor all night. We were confident all night that he was there for us to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. Darren, the owner, was also communicative and very helpful along the way. I would highly recommend Love Plus One!

Alex did such a great job! I don’t think there was a single point where there weren’t people on the dance floor. He really listened to what we wanted and did really well at incorporating the type of music we wanted with the traditional party music. He had a very good read on the crowd all night and knew how to keep the party going. We’re still getting compliments on how good the music was all night. We were extremely happy with how it turned out!

The Grooms only job was to book the DJ and WOW! did he do an amazing job. Love Plus One came as a recommendation from our Wedding Planner, and I understand why. Their system was super easy to use, and their collection was very extensive. We had some ~interesting~ song choices (like "The Time is Now", John Cena's entrance music) and DJ Short Stop, aka Vinnie, had them all. I am not sure how they choose who ends up at which weddings, but DJ Short Stop really was the perfect match for the Groom and I. Our conversation the Monday before had us beyond pumped to have Vinnie in attendance of our reception and the crowd absolutely loved him. He really knew how to read the room and keep everyone dancing. Honestly, I think if it wasn't time for DJ Short Stop to go home, we would have continued the party until 4 in the morning.

We loved working with Love Plus One! Working with DJ Alex went great, our phone call with him was very helpful and he did a great job capturing what we wanted on our wedding day and reading the dance floor! He kept people dancing until the very end of the night. All in all, we were very happy with everything!

I cannot express how wonderful it was to work with LovePlusOne. I had high expectations for the wedding DJ. On my first call with Darren, I expressed to him that I did not want a "cheesy" wedding DJ. He immediately understood what I meant, and told me that LovePlusOne prides themselves on quality work without the cheesiness. Using the online program to submit songs on the Must Play and Do Not Play list, and to assign songs for the important events such as entrances and special dances, was a huge time saver and kept me organized. Alex was my DJ and he was one of the parts of the wedding that I received the most compliments on! Alex and I had a call about a week before the wedding, and I am so thankful for his professionalism and adaptability. I made it clear I did not want a lot of "typical" wedding music (no line dances or super popular/expected songs). He took that information, and our preferences of music, and ran with it. I received compliments all night that the music was amazing and that Alex was the best wedding DJ my guests had ever seen. People were dancing all night! Alex kept the night going at a great pace, moving through the events quickly, and updating guests when the photobooth was open, when the late night snack was served, and when the buses were arriving. He was phenomenal (and not at all cheesy)! Thank you Darren and Alex!

Vinnie was great! Kept the dance floor moving, was great with logistics, and flexible throughout the entire process. Easy booking and great online management tool, payment was easy. Absolutely great! 1000% recommend!!

Steve was awesome. The event went great. If we were going to do it all over again, we’d want him the next time too.
