Love Plus One Wedding DJs

We hired Love Plus One not only because of their stellar reviews but also for the amount of professionalism displayed from Darren, the owner, during our initial phone calls. We also loved that we could have as little to as much say in the music playlist that we wanted.... in our case, it was as much as possible. We booked well in advance and I am so glad that we did because this company is SO worth it. They truly made our day so memorable and did everything that we asked and I wouldn't have changed a thing. The communication from the company was amazing from consult all the way until wedding day. Their online planner form is very straight forward and easy to use. If you have any special requests, they do everything in their power to make it happen. We had Steve as our DJ for our wedding and he was personable, professional, and an overall great guy and DJ. He did an amazing job and we are so grateful that we had him as our DJ/MC for our wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). He kept the day flowing smoothly, adapted as changes needed to be made, and kept the party going all night. I cannot recommend Love Plus One DJs enough!!!

I had Steve as my DJ and he was amazing. He calls you before your wedding to talk everything over and he is so helpful. He honestly loves his job and it shows. He did an amazing job keeping the dance floor going. We all had a blast!

DJ Mike was absolutely awesome! He worked closely with us to make sure he understood the overall vibe of the wedding and came so prepared to execute. We had an outdoor ceremony and the mic and speakers were perfect to make sure all our 160 guests could hear the vows and ceremony clearly. The team worked closely with our venue to utilize their Sonos speaker for cocktail hour and then the reception sound, music, and announcements were spot on. Having the E-Planner tool leading up to wedding day made it super easy to choose what music we wanted for certain moments during the wedding day. The cherry on top was that Mike was able to bring amazing confidence and get our guests up out of their seats for our grand entrance and it was a game changer that made the reception flow and go so well. Loved that the lights were going for the dance floor and the transitions of songs kept our guests grooving with us. Would recommend requesting DJ Mike be your go to guy for wedding DJ and highly recommend Love Plus One if you want peace of mind with all your wedding day music needs!

Love Plus One exceeded our expectations! We loved the online portal where we could take our time deciding on what music we wanted and also did not want played. Darren was very thorough during our initial booking and DJ Mike was phenomenal the week & day of! Our venue had two spaces, so we added the dining package which worked out perfectly for speeches and dinner music. Our dance floor was a hit and DJ Mike played all of our must-play songs! Love Plus One made planning our entire wedding time line so efficient! DJ Vinnie (short stop) kept the night so lively and communicated with me through the entire night to make sure we were staying on our timeline and I was happy with how things were going. He also made sure our ceremony music was going and the cues were on time. We also utilized their upllight package, and that really set the ambience for the whole venue. It’s tacky, but it brought it all together and made it feel magical.

Incredibly happy I booked Love Plus One for my wedding. I specifically chose them because they have great reviews and also because they use an online portal where clients can pick out the music, timeline, and other details. We had the ceremony package, up lights, and reception. Our DJ, Rob, was awesome!! Everything from the ceremony, to the grand entrances, all the announcements, the cocktail hour music, the dinner music, and of course open dancing, went SEAMLESSLY. He played all the right music at the right time. There were no awkward gaps. Everyone was out on the dance floor having a blast. We had so many people tell us how fun our wedding was. We even had a couple people say that it was the most fun they’ve had at a wedding. That’s honestly thanks to Rob!

Our DJ Evan did a great job. We really appreciate the care put into the ceremony sound to make sure everyone could hear. Our guests were very happy. The dancing at the reception was super fun and the music choices were great! We also appreciate Evan ending a little earlier than originally planned because the party was dying down a bit. So we asked to end earlier than we thought, which wasn’t a problem for Evan.

DJ Steve was amazing! He surpassed any and all expectations that we had. During the call that I had with Darren upon initially booking, I had shared that my fiancé and I weren't big dancers and that I didn't anticipate our guests would be either. Well, DJ Steve kept everyone out on the dance floor until the end of the wedding. Booking Love Plus One may be one of the best wedding decisions that we made!

Recently got married!! My husband and I love music and dancing, so picking a DJ was so important to us. From the beginning of the wedding process, Darren had amazing communication! He answered all our questions, and really took the time to listen to what we wanted. Our DJ Mike was fantastic and had everyone out on the dance floor!! He had a great personality and a lot of energy. It’s exactly what you want for a vendor!!!

My wife and I used Love Plus One for our wedding DJ and could not be happier with how the day went. Darren was easy and responsive leading up to the big day, and paired us with the perfect DJ, Mike. The dance floor never let up and everyone told us how much they fun they had after. I would highly recommend them for your wedding.

Our DJ Mike was awesome! He did a great job, the dance floor was never empty. We had a great call with him a few days before the wedding and we discovered we had similar tastes in music as he does, so that made it extra fun to work with him. He was great and I will definitely recommend him to others. The owner, Darren, was also great to work with. Thanks for helping make our day so wonderful!

Darren was great from the get-go. He was professional and always answered any questions we had promptly. He even hunted down a hard to find song that I wanted for my bridal entrance down the aisle. And the online music planner was SO helpful and one of the reasons we chose them in the first place. The reason we're not giving 5 stars is because there were a few minor hiccups with DJ Steve. Pros He set up early and quickly Didn't play anything off the do not play list Professional in manner and attire Played pretty good music during dancing and engaged with the crowd Played most of the important songs at the right time (more on that below) Cons Didn't switch the bridal party processional song to the bride processional song. So we had to wait for a long song to almost finish while all the guests were standing and waiting. A guest ended up checking on us and then told him to switch it. It doesn't seem like a huge deal, but it was really awkward, especially with all the runaway bride jokes we got for the rest of the night. We felt like his choice of dinner music was odd. It was old and jazzy (like instrumental jazz) which was the opposite of what we said we wanted during our meeting earlier in the week. We said we wanted a young vibe for the night, and he had plenty of songs suggested on the music planner we filled out. To his credit, when we asked him to change it to more modern stuff, he did. Lastly, this wasn't necessarily a con but something we would've liked to have been asked about; clean versions vs explicit. Towards the end of the night, we had some songs we wanted played, but they ended up being the clean version, which just isn't as fun to us. We just wanted to scream dance to Get Low lol. So I would just suggest asking future couple about their preference on explicit vs. Clean. All in all, we were happy with the company in general, but a little disappointed with the hiccups on the night.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience!! From the first day we selected Love Plus One Wedding DJ's, everyone involved was super punctual and really put our dream in motion! We loved that we were able to plan our night with our online planner, then about a week before our reception with talked with DJ Shortstop (Vinny) on the phone and he made sure that he really got a feel for how we wanted everything that night! Not only was DJ Shortstop our DJ that night (and did an AMAZING JOB!!) but when I was super nervous before coming out, he calmed my nerves. I HIGHLY recommend this company, you can tell they have been around for a while and that the DJ's are super happy with their job! Their playlist was out of this world! The DJ also helped us with selecting "must play" songs and gave us tips on how we should roll out some of the songs (dad/daughter dance, etc.). We will definitely use them again!

DJ Steve was awesome! He was super fun and knew how to get the crowd excited. He was helpful and flexible with all the microphone needs and helped make the day go very smoothly. Couldn't be happier!

Steve kept our party going all night! Was super interactive with our crowd in the best way! Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had! The online planner was so easy to work with as well. Darren was super responsive with any questions we had!

Steve did an excellent job--period. He was very flexible with the logistics we needed -- helping us provide music and audio in both the Loft and Rooftop areas. He was very communicative both before and during our reception. Steve started our pre-reception phone call with saying "I do everything that the bride and groom want". And that's exactly what he did. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say! Thank you to Steve for playing such an integral role in our reception incredibly well and professionally!

Love Plus One was a dream to work with. Darren was kind, informative, and helpful when searching for our DJ vendor and continued supporting and answering questions we had leading up to our event. Not only was our wedding one of the most special days of our life, it was so so incredible to work with the ENTIRE team and DJ Shortstop. Vinnie was fantastic and such a comfort throughout the day he was incredible and we are so thankful for how he kept the party going. We are more than pleased :)

LOVE this vendor!! Darren, the owner, is absolutely amazing to work with - he is great at communication, organization, and was so nice and easy to work with. I loved working with Love Plus One. The owner contacted us and helped us understand the way the online planner works and went through every detail with us. He's very nice. Using the online planner was very easy! My husband and I liked that we could pick our own music if it wasn't already on the planner website. We had DJ Mike for our wedding. He was amazing! He nailed pronouncing our super long last name. He's very kind and charismatic, he knew how to keep the party going!

Love Plus One was amazing to work with during the planning process, especially because of the Online Entertainment Planner which made it SO easy to select songs and provide all necessary information for our DJ! Darren was also super efficient at answering any questions I had. DJ Mike was great and did everything we asked, although he did play some line dances when I specifically asked to avoid cheesy, “typical” wedding reception music - and he didn’t really do much in terms of switching out songs if the dance floor was starting to empty. Overall, I think the night went well, but if I had to do it over again I would be more specific about what I wanted in terms of dance music!

DJ Mike did a fantastic job throughout the ceremony and reception. He was on top of things schedule wise and even made some accommodations when we had to push back our first dance time. We are so happy we went with Love Plus One; you guys were professional the whole way through.

You guys...BOOK DJ ROB B. We first spoke on the phone to Rob in the week leading up to our wedding, and I remember the minute we got off the phone, we looked at each other and thought...wow, this guy is good. He was so enthusiastic, yet relaxed, and you could really tell he was listening and excited to help us. In the days leading up to the wedding, we had some changes on entrance & first dance music, he was available via text and would respond within minutes and rolled with all the punches without breaking a sweat. One of our biggest wishes for our wedding was to have a huge dance party, and Rob DELIVERED! It was hit after hit, truly. We had huge smiles writing this review because of how incredible he was. Huge thank you to Rob & the Love Plus One team...we are forever grateful!

We had an amazing experience at our wedding with Love Plus One! DJ Rob kept the party going all night, accommodated guest requests, and played all of our selected songs. The music is such a large part of the night and Love Plus One did not disappoint!

We had a really excellent experience with Love Plus One. As we were trying to find the right entertainment, my husband and I had a great introductory call with Darren. He made us feel at ease and that Love Plus One could deliver the fun, but chill, vibe we were looking for. In the months leading up to our wedding, we appreciated the online entertainment planner to help us get all of our details set. Darren was also really helpful and responsive when we had questions. We had a call with DJ Rob B about a week before our wedding to finalize details - he was able to accommodate our (fairly specific) first dance song requests easily and made us feel well-prepared for the day. On the wedding day, DJ Rob B was a huge hit. He played all of our favorites and really kept the party going. He quickly figured out what our guests were into and set a super fun and welcoming vibe that lasted all night. The dance floor was packed until the lights came up at the end of the night!

Darren the owner was great to work with in preparation for our event with an easy to use client portal and our DJ Steve. He both allowed us to represent who we were as individuals but also ensuring our eccentric and eclectic musical taste did not negatively impact the vibe of our wedding.

Love Plus One DJ’d our wedding and it was such a perfect time! Mike was our DJ and was wonderful to communicate with for meetings but also day of he was so nice to our guests and love that he had no issues with all the “odd” song choices we had for a more diverse and punk themed playlist lol Thank you so much for being the best and having fun with all of us. We received several compliments from our guests regarding the music. Mike was able to pick up on the overall vibe of the room and really nailed it. He had a fantastic personality and great presence throughout the wedding. During the reception, Mike played a band that I had not heard before but was right in line with the genre of music everyone wanted to hear! After the wedding, I continued listening to this band and checked out the rest of their discography! We had such an incredible night!
