An absolute GEM! From the initial call with Shelby, I knew she was the perfect person to plan my wedding. To set the scene, I am not someone with best planning or skills, but Shelby was able to calm my worry and make each step feel much less overwhelming. For a bride to be, that is everything! Shelby truly wanted to know exactly what my vision was to ensure it came to life on our big day, and she succeeded! When the big day came, Shelby and her team at Love Set Wedding were prepared to assist my husband and his groomsmen, my girls and I, and ensure the preparations were on time! I can confidently say I had no worries with leaving everything in her hands and avoided the stress that many brides feel on their big day! My husband and I were able to truly emerse ourselves in the day and that is something I am so thankful for. Each one of my vendors had what they needed, and I can truly say there were no issues. Shelby and her team were available at any time during the process from saving the day with a clothespin and running to the rescue with a steamer to making sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole night! While our wedding is over, we have the best memories to look back on and reminisce. I will forever be grateful to Shelby and her team at Love Set Wedding for helping to create the perfect day for my husband and I! The wedding planning has ended, but on the other side, I have someone I can now call a friend. Shelby Ballo (Love Set Wedding Co) was our official Wedding Planner, but she was also so much more! Shelby took on the role of Wedding Planner, Therapist, Advisor, and Master of All Things ‘Wedding’! Shelby took time to get to know the bride and groom (my daughter and son-in-law). She made sure their special day was a reflection of what was important to them, and highlighted all of the details they wanted, making their day so very special. She made planning fun! Nothing was an obstacle; she makes every situation an opportunity to create a nuance or special detail. The vendors she recommended were top notch! The wedding day was Perfect! She had everyone and every detail organized and documented. The team she brought with her to assist were professional and personable, and complimented all of the work Shelby did to create such a special day. I am so thankful Shelby was a part of my daughter’s wedding. She delivered perfection and made it look easy! Hi There! So glad you're here! I'm Shelby, Owner + Lead Planner of Love Set Wedding Co. The start of my work in the wedding industry began in 2012 as I embarked into College to obtain my BA in Communications. Proud graduate of San Diego State University! I was raised on the Central Coast of California where my 'down to earth' and sincere roots come from. From there I moved to San Diego, California where I obtained my BA degree. I've done weddings that range from intimate elopements to three day Indian wedding celebrations; from chapels to The Natural History Museum of San Diego. Moving to North Carolina has been such a gift! I'm a mom of three, an avid runner, and a frequent home decor shopper. I've never seen an iced coffee that I don't like. The beach is my favorite place to be; happiness on earth! A large part of my mission in being your wedding planner is to guide you through the planning process, taking off all the pressure of to-do's, and making it as detailed + breathtaking as you've always envisioned it to be. We will work closely to select vendors that align with your style, ensure your venue is the best fit, and celebrate your love to the fullest. Simply can't wait to meet YOU!

dvocated for us with with a pesky venue, and even by helped me coordinate some last minute vendors I had procrastinated on booking. It was an absolute joy and weight off my shoulders every time she helped me complete a planning task. She created magic and helped us till the last moment including steaming my dress while I was getting ready and nervous for anyone else to touch it haha. Our wedding was beautiful and smooth running thanks to her expertise, patience, and dedication. Highly recommend!

alk to, feel comfortable with, kind, compassionate, and easy to get ahold of. Throughout the entire process I never once felt alone thanks to her. She reassured my doubts and supported my feelings (which if you’re planning a wedding you know how emotional it can get at times) throughout the entire process. Shelby helped bring my wedding vision to life and I truly could not have done it without her. One of the saddest parts about my wedding coming to an end was not working with Shelby anymore. I feel like I always had more than just a planner, I had a friend, advocate, and someone that would help me achieve my dream wedding no matter what. Not to mention she never failed in helping me get over a freak out moment, or finding solutions to things that just weren’t coming together right. Don’t hesitate on booking with her, I promise you’ll love her, I know I do!

s the confidence we had in Shelby. She handled any issues (because there are always random issues, right?) with a quick and efficient response. In our case, our venue (a winery) realized that they likely would not have enough of one of our wine selections to cover the evening. Instead of panicking, Shelby calmly approached my maid of honor & I with alternative options & selections literally I n hand for us to try. In the end we ended up with bonus wine for our guests and the alternative selection ended up being one of the most popular. Her communication was excellent and always upbeat. I know she worked so hard behind the scenes but she really always approached me with the poise and grace of someone who had things under control. Our families both loved working with Shelby. Our vendors loved working with Shelby. We loved working with Shelby. Our wedding day has is now well into the past but I still keep in contact with Shelby as a friend.
