Heidi will feel like your “cool” aunt, who will answer every wedding question, help keep you calm and be there to make sure your wedding ceremony is awesome, easy, and the true starting point of your celebration! She creates customized, personal and witty (not cheesy) ceremonies for couples all over Southern California, including San Diego, San Marcos, Oceanside, Julian, Coronado, Temecula, Carlsbad, Escondido, Laguna, Big Bear Lake, Lake Arrowhead, Palm Springs, and Idyllwild. Destination locations like Santa Barbara, Big Sur, Yosemite, Joshua Tree, Tahoe, and Sequoia.

Her ceremonies are always inclusive and LGBTQIA+ friendly! Your ceremony can be as unique as the two of you. She will craft non-religious wedding ceremonies with no mention of god or for Grandma, we add a little romantic prayer, Heidi also does vow renewals, and elopements. She's "married" almost 700 couples since 2016! Whether you want simple, elegant, fun, magical, intimate, or a stunning outdoor adventure ceremony, it's created for the two of you! She's a professional, ordained non-denominational officiant through the Universal Life Church and The Church of Spiritual Humanism.
Experience
As a former wedding planner, she will make this journey simple and fun! With her years of experience in theatre, doing voice-overs for radio and TV, her ASMR voice, and her love of writing, she has unique qualifications to make this an easy and low stress experience for you! Your ceremony should reflect both of you. It should also tell your personal Love Story. She refuses to do long and boring ceremonies, but she loves doing awesome ceremonies!
Her world's filled with love and laughter! She loves going on adventures, sharing weekly "date days" with her husband, and spending an amazing day with her couples! Heidi and her husband are still madly in love and best friends! They just celebrated their 25th Anniversary! They share their lives with an adorable Pomeranian named Pilot and a baby parakeet who greets everyone with "Whatchadoin'". They love hiking in the mountains and walking on the beach at sunset, watching movies with romance, or action adventure but their absolute favorites are superhero or nerdy science fiction movies (they try not choose sides)!

She also provided invaluable guidance on ceremony logistics, marriage license requirements, and day-of planning details that helped us feel prepared and supported every step of the way.
Heidi has an incredibly calm, steady, and reassuring presence. There is something truly dreamy about the way she speaks and carries herself. Her voice and demeanor immediately put everyone at ease. Quite honestly, she could probably read a phone book and make it sound beautiful.
The ceremony she created for us was beyond anything we could have imagined. Through thoughtful surveys and conversations, she gathered the details of our friendship, relationship, and journey together, then seamlessly wove them into a heartfelt and deeply personal story. The result felt uniquely us—warm, authentic, emotional, and memorable.
Without question, the ceremony was the part of the wedding that our guests talked about the most afterward. So many people commented on how personal, meaningful, and beautifully delivered it was, and how they truly enjoyed hearing snippets of our relationship that were narrated by Heidi.
At the end of our ceremony, Heidi performed a “handfasting” (ribbon-tying) ceremony beautifully, incorporating it naturally into the flow of the ceremony and making it feel both significant and intimate.

On the wedding day, when there was a moment of panic about our handfasting cords, Heidi was calm, prepared, and already in action. While the original cords were found at the hotel and brought to the venue, she also went home to get backup cords just in case. Knowing she was willing to do whatever it took to keep the ceremony intact meant everything to us.
Heidi brought such a grounding, supportive presence to the day. She even offered her hematite bracelet as a precaution to keep unwanted spiritual energy away, which perfectly reflects how thoughtful, intuitive, and caring she is. Nothing felt rushed or stressful with her involved.

With Heidi's easy to follow resources and clear questionnaires and forms, together we created the most perfect, nature-centric ceremony. Many of our guests were blown away by our heartfelt ceremony and details of our love story.
As a type A bride, Heidi and I had a lot of back and forth emails trying to get the ceremony just right, and she even added a special piece about the symbolism between the Safari animals and our marriage, something very important to us. I think we must have called to the animals, because the most serendipitous thing happened during the ceremony-- a parade of several giraffes came galloping along right behind us, right before I was going to say my vows. We were all completely awestruck, it was just the perfect moment.
When we look back on our wedding day, we are blessed to have memories of Heidi's calming and reliable presence. She gave us water, positivity, and delivered the most beautiful ceremony. As a busy bride, I appreciated her reminder emails and texts, helping us stay on top of the whole process. She got back to me pretty quickly and we set up a call so she can actually get to know us and let us know what we can expect out of her ceremonies. She checked in with us through the year to make sure we were good and reminded us to get our marriage license, etc. Her being so on top of everything helped us out a lot because we introduced a new baby into our family 3 months before we got married and things were busy and crazy. She made sure everything was how we wanted - she even asked us what color dress we'd like her to wear! Day of the wedding, she came and checked in on us frequently. Right before the ceremony, she made an announcement for no phones during the ceremony too. We absolutely loved that! She incorporated two of her ceremony rituals (flower chain and play-doh) that involved our guests and our sons.

My husband and I come from somewhat religious backgrounds but we really wanted to go a different route for our ceremony; something that represented US, captured our journey, our future, and incorporated the things that we love to do and geek out together, as well as making both our families happy. As many people who don’t really know where to start looking, I began conversations with a bunch of officiants who could perform nondenominational ceremonies. However, none of them seem to have that warmth and caring enthusiasm that Heidi has. During our first call it came out that Heidi also likes the very same things that my husband and I enjoy geeking over and we just knew that we had found her. She provided that connection that elevated her from just someone doing a service, guiding us through a process that they’ve done about a hundred times with other couples… to someone with whom we actually felt super comfortable to be ourselves, say silly things, allow ourselves to be completely honest and vulnerable, and have absolute trust in her guidance. Working with her as we customized and build our ceremony was so seamless. She was super open and flexible to new ideas from us. We did the Celtic Handfasting and a twist on the traditional Hispanic ritual of the coins, as well as provided our own suggestions for readings. More importantly, she was super understanding of how stressful this planning journey can be, and she was always there to cheer us on. She goes above and beyond on everything. Minutes before the ceremony, she talked to our photographer to let him know about the Celtic Handfasting and they agreed on where would be the best place to be for photos! The Ceremony was so beautiful and fun. When we weren’t holding back tears, we were laughing! Her telling of our Love Story seemed to bring everyone together, witnesses of our journey. Again, everyone’s expressions as they came up to us to share their feelings of the ceremony, as well as their best wishes, is something I will never forget. Even after it was all over, Heidi stayed to talk to us and encourage us on our exciting future together. Tears were shed! The rest of the night seemed to go so fast for me, but the Ceremony lives suspended in my memory.

Everyone at the wedding said the love story was not expected, but they absolutely loved it. There were many family members from each side that were meeting for the first time and it really gave them background on where our relationship and marriage came from. She communicated with us through the process and even went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of before and during the ceremony. As there can be a lot of anxiety on the wedding day, Heidi went out of her way to hold space for us.
