Everyone was raving about the wedding cake flavor which is almond/vanilla. The cake was beautifully decorated and Debbie was a joy to work with in coordinating the details.
If you are looking for an extraordinary Baker then you have found her! Lovee's Cakes was the BEST choice for making my wedding cake, throughout the entire night I had people coming up and telling me how delicious our cake was. It was absolutely beautiful too and it looked just like I had always wanted it to. She listened to my needs and it turned out perfectly. For the price of $500 I received a three tier wedding cake and a Grooms Cake that we ate the night before at the rehearsal dinner. She delivered it right before the wedding and put flowers on it. I couldn't have asked for more! Stop in and try her cakes, you won't regret it.
After my orginal cake decorator backed out of our wedding with only a few weeks to go I didn't know what I was going to do! Here I was, two states away from my wedding venue, in a different time zone and I was totally freaking out! I started calling everyone in the yellow pages, and that is how I found Debbie at Lovee's Cakes! She was an absolute joy to work with! She made us two of the most awesome cakes I could have ever imagined for my wedding! The wedding cake was described as the three tiered "anti-wedding cake" by some of my guests. It was called the "anti-wedding cake" because not only was it beutiful to look at, but it was not covered by a layer of cement and people actually wanted to eat it and go back for more than one piece! Each tier had a different flavor (strawberries and champagne on the top, vanilla bean in the middle, and lemon cream on the bottom), and they were all wonderful! The cake was covered in fondant (I am not a fan of fondant, but she makes her own, and not only is it pretty to look at, but it is not rock hard, and it is actually edible), and down all three tiers of the cake was a large white peony with a pearl center, Debbie hand made every petal! It was amazing! The grooms cake though, that gave my sweet wedding cake a run for it's money, it was only one tier covered in a black fondant, pretty simple, but Debbie, she really went above and beyond on this next part... She had made a hockey mask out of sugar and air brushed it to look like Jason's mask from Friday the 13th (My husband is a horror film geek!)! The mask was so realistic, that it wasn't until we removed it to serve up the cake that we realized it was sugar! The cake was totally delicious too, orange dreamcicle flavored! She really did an amazing job with everything, even getting my cakes to the top of a mountain on a stormy day in a gondola!!! You'd have to be crazy to go to anyone but Debbie for your cake or baked goodie needs!!
