f honor, and I all asked MULTIPLE times if ordering 2 sizes down from the sample would affect the construction of the dress. We had concerns as I’m taller and have a long torso, so I was concerned mainly about the bodice. We were assured over and over that it would be an unnoticeable difference. I had followed up via email a few weeks after ordering the dress because I had a gut feeling that something didn’t feel right with the sizing. I once again was assured that the length was still going to be okay. If I had known the construction was going to be compromised I would have had no issues going up in size but I told the yes let’s keep what we ordered since the “professionals” supposedly knew what they were doing. But again, I was assured over and over the fit would not be compromised. So I chose to trust this team of professionals who have “sold this dress hundreds of times.” When the dress finally came in, THREE MONTHS before my wedding, I tried it on and my jaw dropped. The dress construction and bodice was completely different. The points of the dress were flimsy and poorly constructed, the bodice was nearly 2 inches shorter than the one I tried on in store (I was assured it should only be a 3/8th difference), and the dress had small strings hanging. My seamstress, who has been voted best in state many times, told me there was no way of fixing this. I took this to get multiple opinions and all agreed that the bodice was not only constructed poorly but too short for me. When I reached out to Lovely Bride and I was contacted (days later) by their customer service manger, Sammy. She seemed to want to help at first, but as time went on she began getting more condescending and trying to convince me into thinking this was how it was supposed to be and acted as if they don’t make mistakes. She recommended I came back to Chicago (I’m from out of state) to see a seamstress they recommended. The solution she provided was get the back let out and lifted. When I told them that multiple seamstresses said that there was not even enough to let out to get it higher over back (which is odd because I lost weight since they had measured me in-store) they became even more frustrated with my concerns and reiterated this was not a measuring issue on their end. I requested a copy of the contract but never heard from them again. .I spent almost $5,000 int their store to get a dress that needed to be completely rebuilt. Literally, rebuilt. I was stuck with a HEFTY alterations fee that I did not anticipate because of inaccurate measurements. Not only was there issues with my wedding gown, but I also bought a mini dress for another bridal event. I was told to order a size that was nearly 3 sizes to big and had to pay another large alterations fee to get that taken in as well. Once again, a measuring issue. I also felt like every dress I tried on in this store was absolutely filthy, which is extremely disgusting and highly unsanitary. I am extremely disappointed by Lovely Bride and their disregard for this entire situation. I hope no other bride has to experience this level of gaslighting, unprofessionalism and regret. Note: I never once heard from the store manager or owner.

I also was nervous to dress shop because my mom is no longer with us, and I worried I'd be emotional or melancholy and would have a hard time having fun, but Tiffany made every step of the entire experience a BLAST and truly unforgettable. Her warm, outgoing, hilarious, bubbly personality and top-tier knowledge of all things bridal made shopping a truly collaborative experience, and she and Sydney hyped me up the entire time. I felt GORGEOUS and like I could be honest about how I felt about dresses. It felt like shopping with my best friends, and my family felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time. The true piece de resistance though was when Tiffany guided me towards the most incredible dress of all time that I literally never would have thought would be the one. I ended my appointment crying into her arms with gratitude for how special she made the day, and all of the above created a beautiful experience and memory that I will take with me always. Do yourself a favor and go to Lovely Bride. Make it your first stop, enjoy some bubbly, and have the best time with the amazing people who work there. You'll find the dress and have a great time doing it.

knockout veil and saw they were having a designer's trunk show ending very soon. Even though I didn't even buy my dress there Tiffany took her time with me having me try on at least 6-7 veils! So as not to get my own dress dirty or potentially damaged they had me try on veils with a dress that looked similar to one of theirs (silhouette, shade of white, neckline, etc). In the end, we had so much fun but Tiffany was really a blast to work with- so knowledgeable and practical and helped me choose the most beautiful Toni Federici veil that ended up being by far my favorite part of my wedding outfit. Tiffany and her staff were communicative with me throughout the entire process of choosing/ordering/receiving the veil in time for the wedding and I cannot thank her enough. Love Tiffany and the Lovely Bride Chicago crew!

I wanted to try on, but ended up trying on several more that Epiphany picked out that were just as perfect. She was knowledgeable, funny, attentive, and also knew when to step back and let me take it all in. The shop itself was taking COVID safety very seriously (masks required, hand sanitizer provided, minimal guests allowed) and was clean and beautiful. Each dressing room is really big and you feel like you're the only person in the shop. The samples are very well maintained and I actually ended up buying a sample and saved a TON of money and would recommend that route to any budget-minded bride! If you're looking for a luxury bridal shop experience with a warm and friendly vibe, Lovely Bride is the place for you!

appointment really enjoyable. She really listened to what I was looking for and also pulled in some dresses I wouldn't have thought of, but looked great on me. It was really helpful to see the other dresses to validate I was thinking about the right style. A few of the designers that Lovely carries really "got" me and I loved several of their dresses. I ended up falling in the love with the LAST dress that Tiffany showed me and got that misty feeling. We had another appointment so we went over measurements etc but I felt no pressure to make a purchase at any point during the appointment. I just purchased the dress a few days later. Great experience and can only imagine it would be even better outside of a COVID world.

owever, I opted against purchasing from this shop specifically due to the "hard sell" she and a colleague suddenly tried to strong arm me into at my second try on appointment. The attitude was essentially, "You love it? Great! What's your CC number?," then telling me I had 24 hours to "decide" and make the 70% deposit payment. Really off-putting, especially when I still felt as though I had a lot of questions that they hadn't taken the time to answer fully or with consideration. It was strange since to that point, Anesha had been really helpful and informative. Not sure if this is a selling tactic they're told to use by corporate? At any rate, it's not effective - they lost the sale because of it.

I wasn’t even aware of (I was between 2 styles and really having a hard time selecting where to go from there). She also completely understood what I was looking for through my descriptions, which made trying on each dress fun, despite being so tried (Lovely was my third bridal appointment for that day). You can tell she’s worked in fashion/retail for awhile. I also really appreciated the shop lay out but also the conditions and precautions they have implemented transparently to keep everything safe and no ambiguity with the rules. The shop still found a way to make things a fun and nice experience with champagne too despite the COVID times in a safe way. Nice job, Lovely!

tally sure what I wanted for a dress when I came into the store but she was able to guide me to the dresses I liked the best. Even my mom and fiance's mother said it was amazing that she could take a comment of "I like that..." and select a dress that looked amazing on me. Even though I didn't end up buying my dress here (my second favorite was at Lovely Bride) I was blown away by the amazing experience I had - even with the pandemic. I highly, HIGHLY, recommend this bridal salon.

ble to answer my questions prior to the in person appointment. The day of, I went with my parents and we were in our own private fitting room. Samantha slowly brought over the dresses in my wishlist and helped me get in and out of each dress- she did not pressure me in the order of the dresses I tried on and at one point offered a veil and a small bouquet of flowers to add to the look! HOW AMAZING! With that being said, I tried on about 10 dresses- my final two Samantha asked if I was interested in trying on the dresses multiple times to help decide. I left lovely with the one!! Prior to leaving, allll my measurements were made, Samantha also allowed me to be involved in finalizing the size of my dress because I was in between sizes which I appreciated! Would totally recommend, not your typical bridal store. I felt comfortable from the minute I walked in to the minute I left!
