Ivy, the owner and my stylist for my appointment (lucky me!) really listened to me and adjusted her pulls as I gave feedback and was really helpful providing pricing information for customizations etc. Cons: this is not a place to go if you are still more in your discovery phase of looking: the appointment goes very quick - they are strict about the hour timeline and you are only allowed a single revisit appointment of 45 min and I definitely felt pressure to commit at this appointment though I had another revisit at a different salon, that I had yet to attend it was difficult knowing this appointment was it. I think this would be fine for someone who was more confident in what they want with a clearer vision, but important to know. The other thing is that some of the dresses had clearly been tried on so many times they were discolored and a bit dirty which made it hard to envision the dress as it would be. I ultimately did not get my dress here but would definitely still recommend it to someone who wants a wide range of dresses in great price ranges and is farther along in their shopping process.

I went back a few times because I was in between two dresses and every time they were professional and super accommodating. This allowed my bridal consultant during my appointment to have a starting point in her pulls. As I tried on each dress, she asked my likes and dislikes of the fit, which determined her next pull. It was such a wonderful experience; I felt so understood, valued, and important! We found my perfect dress, the Harry by Made with Love.

The Lovely Bride in Philadelphia, had the dress and once I put it on, I knew it was it the perfect one. Thank you to Taylor, Jessica, and Ivy at the Lovely Bride for working with me to make my wedding dress dreams come true. Additionally, Taylor helped me find the most perfect earrings to match the vibe. They are stunning.

It was my first bridal gown visit so I left and came back a few months later and tried on my top two once more. As soon as I put the same dress on, everyone knew it was the one. River was so kind, patient, and I did not feel like she was trying to upsell me at all - AND SHE PICKED OUT MY WEDDING DRESS!! I also got a veil which was the one she styled me in, again I didnt feel pushed into choosing that at all, and was surprised to find it wasn’t that pricey. All together, my experience at the Lovely Bride is one that I will cherish throughout my whole wedding journey and I cant wait to pick up my dress in a few months! my opinions and showed me each dress before trying on - the only bridal shop/consultant I worked with that did this. She pulled dresses based on my thoughts and took into consideration my family's opinions without letting them overshadow what I was feeling. She took the time to email me after my appointment to let me know that one of my favorite dresses was being discontinued to ensure I had enough time to book a repeat appointment if I was still thinking about that dress. The dress ended up being the one I said yes to, and I cannot thank Miranda enough for keeping me updated! I would've been devastated if I went back to the store to find out the dress was no longer available. Everyone at the store was friendly and welcoming. I am so glad I found this boutique, the experience was a breath of fresh air compared to other stores in the area. I would recommend this store to anyone, especially Miranda for a consultant!

wasn't sure if I would have the same excitement as most brides having already tried on dresses. Jessica made the entire experience so wonderful and easy and made me feel like a bride! She had all my favorite dresses pulled for me ahead of time and also suggested some beautiful dresses. She listened to what I was looking for and pulled dresses that fit my style. There were also a few dresses I had requested to try on that were over my budget. She was mindful of my budget and made sure I was aware of the price before trying it on. When I picked my dress she was super helpful in explaining the different color options and was such as excited for me as my friends and family. Thank you Jessica for all your help! I can't wait for my dress to come in!

She had a number of my selections available, and also suggested gowns that were within my vision. The result was a gown that I was absolutely in love with! unch of my favorites ahead of time and as I was liking a certain style we were able to change what I was trying on that day. I ended up getting my earrings from there and the same veil I tried on that day but bought it second hand from another bride. They did a great job at helping me see the whole look come to life! This salon is awesome and I would recommend to anyone. The only thing I would change would be the appointment times. They are only an hour and I would’ve liked to try on a couple more dresses that day but I already at my limit. Thankfully I had already loved multiple dresses I tried on and only came back for a second fitting to try on 2 dresses again.

She was great and explaining different styles/fabrics and accessories not just to me but the group I brought with me. Hannah had my top 3 choices waiting for me when I arrived to my appointment and was able to quickly grab other options of something I may have liked better after trying on. 10000% would recommend.

I also didn't feel any pressure to pay for the veil yet, she did write down the name/cost/designer of the one I liked in case I would like to order it down the line. I absolutely loved this shop and it's easily located next to Penn's Landing with lots of parking.

She was so helpful, patient, and kind - and was somehow able to get a sample dress on loan from the designer for me to try on and subsequently order?! Above and beyond doesn't begin to cover it. Fast forward to my appointment to try on the gown - I was lucky enough to work with Hannah, who was an absolute delight. She had wonderful energy, and was so helpful. She answered every single question of mine, took photos for me, and encouraged me to FaceTime my people, as I had come to my appointment solo. She was truly a gift and the type of person you hope will be helping you when making such a big, emotional decision. I couldn't be more grateful to the entire Lovely team, particularly Ivy and Hannah, for all of the kindness and generosity. I love my gown so much and couldn't recommend them more!

I was between two dresses mid-appointment, but Jessica whipped out the perfect veil for just the right dress at just the right time, and it was game over - I knew I had found the one. I am so thankful for Jessica and the Lovely Bride team for making it such a efficient yet memorable experience for me and my crew!

right in the middle of cute cafes, bars, and restaurants. Before I even came out, I loved using the portal to see the inventory and pick things to try on. Taylor, my attendant, reached out in an email and had a plan for how we’d tackle the hour long appointment. My and my 4 guests were greeted warmly by Taylor and Ivy and brought back to a private dressing room. Taylor understood my vision, gave me options, sometimes expanded on one idea and sometimes dialed it back. I didn’t dawdle in a dress if I didn’t love it immediately, so we got into a new one. Trying on most of everything from my wishlist and then some others in 1 hour was plenty of time for me. With 2 minutes left to spare, I said yes to a dress, Taylor gave me a bouquet from the shop to make it feel real, and gave me the warmest hug. The other girls in the shop walked by and hyped me up and made the day so special. Cannot recommend it enough to brides who want something different but not to be overwhelmed in a dress with more personality than them!

and very disappointed. First, I arrived about 5 minutes early to my appointment just to wait an additional 15 minutes to even go back and try on any dresses. Then, only three of my 9 liked dresses on my portal were pulled and they weren’t even my favorite dresses that I had saved. When I asked about it, my sales associate said she had emailed me several days prior to my appointment to discuss dresses but I had no such email and even pulled my email up while trying in dresses to make sure I hadn’t missed it. My sister and MOH asked if they could look around the show room to see different dresses that I might like, given that they know exactly what my taste is and the sales associate said that they weren’t allowed to because of covid capacity but all member of my party were vaccinated and showed proof of vaccinated before entering the store. Finally, toward the end of the appointment (which is an incredibly short 60 minutes AND mine was cut shorter to 50 given I wasn’t taken back on time) my sales associate pulled a dress that she thought I’d like but when asked to try it on she said “unfortunately we don’t have time to try it on” THEN WHY PULL THE DRESS FOR ME?! I requested to try it on regardless because what if it could have been THE ONE… Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I was so rushed trying on the dresses in a cramped dressing room that I didn’t feel like I could get a true feeling of how the gown moved nor how I moved in it! They had absolutely beautiful dresses but I feel like I barely got to see anything they had to offer and it was frustrating not being able to try on some of my saved styles. It seems that the sales associate are more concerned with getting brides in an out then helping the bride find the dress of her dreams and feel special while doing so. In my opinion, there are better bridal salons out there that are family owned an operated that actually take the time to get to know their brides versus a chain of boutiques that appear to value the volume of their customers over the quality of the experience.

n that sold that very dress because I knew I wasn’t going to be able to get married, or in my case even elope on top of a mountain in Colorado, without at least trying it on. That’s what brought me to Lovely Bride Philly! And honestly, I am so glad it did! Leading up to my appointment I can shamefully say I didn’t feel the excitement most brides feel. I was extremely anxious and self conscious about trying on dresses with a stranger knowing I’ve been on a year long weight loss journey and still have more weight to lose. I was also hesitant because as a little more edgey of a bride, I wasn’t sure I was going to hit off with just anyone. Enter the amazing JULIE and all my anxiety just went out the door. She was so nice, put me right at ease, and made me feel totally comfortable. She made my appointment so enjoyable, I honestly could go on about her for days. I’m so glad I was paired with her and that I found Lovely Bride Philly. I ordered my dress and they have already given me a list of contacts for alterations. I can’t wait to go back to pick up my dress!

variety and was clean and inviting, but my rating is due to not being the right bride for them and not knowing that before my appointment and therefore, leaving a bit stressed. Couple things you should know: 1) You get one hour for the appointment and only two appointments total. The latter point was a shock to me. I tried on a bunch of dresses and wasn't finding what I wanted and at the end was told that I could come back, but only one more time and that was it. It was such a turnoff that I never went back. In a way, I understand from a business perspective that you don't want people coming and using sales associate time without buying, but they are the only bridal salon I went to with that policy. so, it felt specific to them and uninviting. 2) There isn't space to move around and test dress comfort. This may be even more limited than usual due to COVID restrictions, but be prepared that you may not get to walk around and feel dress movement and comfort like in other places. I should have spoken up about feeling too tightly clipped into my dresses, too. Be sure you voice your concerns if you are uncomfortably clipped in. Lovely bride is a great option if you're at the right time in your purchasing journey for their business model and/or very clear on what you do and do not want. If you're like me and trying on a lot to find exactly what you're looking for, I'd suggest going elsewhere.

f you are an indecisive bride (like myself) or need more time to really envision yourself on your wedding day, you should anticipate requiring more than one session. 2. You cannot look at any of the dresses on your own - you can't even look with your bridal associate. You are not allowed in the bridal room to look at dresses, period. Even if you think your sales associate isn't nailing your look. 3. I was so preoccupied with staying in the pre-determined time limit that I didn't really get to enjoy myself, it felt more like a business transaction than the day I had been anticipating for so long. 4. Love their gowns. I could have tried on the entire store. However, make sure you please pick out the dresses you want ahead of time, because in my experience no one will go out of their way to bring you dresses that they (in their professional opinion) think will look good on you (unless you are lucky enough to have a session with the owner :) ) 5. You are sure to receive your dress on time, in flawless condition and receive fantastic referrals for alterations, shoes, etc. Active on instagram, which also helps! I was happy with my look on the day.

t and was so helpful. The dresses she selected for me were absolutely breathtaking and matched my vision perfectly! I am a bit curvy and always a little self conscious dress shopping due to size is always a lot different then the traditional size 6 I wear. She made me feel so comfortable and the dresses she pulled matched my style while being perfect for my body type. She was truly the best stylist I could of ever imagined to work with during such a special moment!

is not an easy feat! She pulled a dress I wasn’t even initially considering and it ended up being my dress! She also did an amazing job of answering all of my mom’s (many) questions while still making sure I had the time I needed in each dress. I’m a size 8 with a large chest so I was slightly stressed out about dress shopping since everything you see online and social media is size 0-4. I didn’t even think about my size a single time throughout the appointment and Sarah never made me feel uncomfortable, even if the sample of a dress was too small. Their selection is also amazing, especially if you’re more of a modern bride.

I was SO HAPPY Ivy told me that my dress designer, Alexandra Grecco, allows brides to split size their dresses which is so great for us ladies who have vastly different top & bottom sizes. They are so organized and set clear expectations in their emails to you before your appointment. It's *imperative* you choose dresses you're interested in online so they can pull them for you to try on at your appointment. To be honest, I'm GRATEFUL that they don't allow you to browse the shop and look at dresses. They have so many and I would have been overwhelmed. Plus, I think it's much more helpful to look at the gown on a person than view it on a hanger. I was surprised to see a few people annoyed by that in their reviews, especially when they clearly tell you it isn't permitted. Overall, my experience was wonderful! I'm so happy with my choice and I can't wait to see it in person :-)
