Kristen and the LLUMC team were an absolute answer to prayer. They were the perfect church and team to work with for our wedding ceremony. LLUMC had all of the elements we were loo...
king for when in search of a church for our wedding - flexibility in music choice, officiant, decorations, order of worship, guest count, and more. Kristen immediately felt like a close friend the second I made contact with her. She is so accommodating, will do anything for you to ensure everything is perfect for your day, and worked so well with our wedding coordinator. She resourced all our wedding programs, the candles for isles, requested posted signs and more. Our ceremony was everything we wanted and more because of her efforts.
Additionally, Jimmy the music director at LLUMC, is phenomenal! Amazing talent, kind spirit, organized, went the extra mile to secure external musicians for our ceremony, and was the most willing to ensure that the flow of the ceremony and all the music exceeded our expectations come wedding day. He truly orchestrated the most beautiful ceremony for us.
We cannot thank God and this team enough for making the perfect wedding ceremony come together! We love LLUMC! Please work with Kristen and Jimmy and have your wedding there!
Kristen Larkin at Lovers Lane Methodist Church went over and beyond my expectations. She and her staff were so wonderful to work with. Whatever we needed, she was there to take...
care of it. I recommend Lovers Lane Methodist Church 100%.
The title of the church says it all! Lovers Lane United Methodist Chruch and Kristen Larkin are amazing to work with. You will feel like you are in Lovers Lane at this venue. K...
risten, really listens and aims to please. Although I didn't have a wedding at Lovers Lane, I have heard firsthand what a pleasure it was working at this venue and with Ms. Larkin. She made all the difference in the world to make a magical wedding dream come true. You won't be disappointed!!!
Having our wedding at Lovers Lane was a dream come true! Honestly, I thought the best part would the stained glass in the sanctuary or the beautiful garden outside, but my entire f...
amily can say the best part of the wedding was having Mrs. Kristin Larkin as our wedding coordinator. The best way of explaining her service is this. It’s not business, it’s a ministry. What that means is that she serves people with genuine love. My wife wasn’t able to have her mom at the wedding after over a year of rescheduling the wedding (that’s not a over exaggeration, it was a year 😪). Mrs. Kristen was amazing at caring for our needs even though she was going through a loss in her family. The world needs more people like her to make wedding ceremonies run smoothly. When we were running a bit late because my grooms men were all praying for me, she had the sensitivity to wait because she knew how special that moment was for me. If you get the privilege of using this venue, I pray you get to experience the love of God found in Mrs Larkin. She’s a remarkable lady. Also the organist Mrs. Sheryl is a gem and loved getting to work with her on the music for our ceremony.
Our wedding held in the Wesley Chapel was a dream come true! The venue itself is stunningly beautiful, with softly colored sunlight that filters through floor to ceiling stained g...
lass windows. More than that, the day from start to finish from the wedding ceremony to the reception was set up beautifully and ran smoothly, thanks to the care and effort of Kristen and her team. Kristen followed up with vendors on the wedding day and made sure that everything ran on time. It was an amazing stress-free day. I could not have have wished for a better place to hold my wedding or a better event coordinator than Kristen.
The sanctuary is so beautiful! Everyone loved it..
We were married in the Wesley Chapel at LLUMC on October 10th. It was exquisite! The staff went above and beyond to give us the perfect ceremony. It was an incredible experience to...
have a professional pianist play live on a baby grand piano. Jimmy Emery, the pianist, has a beautiful gift from God in his talents and played my specific requests perfectly. I requested Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue because of it's special meaning to me. Jimmy did it perfectly!! Reverend Eck married us and did a wonderful job guiding us through some pre-wedding counseling and planning a sweet ceremony. I loved it here and my guests did too. More than one said it was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever been to. One described it as a "jewel box". I recommend LLUMC to anyone looking for a wonderful experience!
The Shipp Chapel was just beautiful at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. The wedding day went so smoothly and was very professionally handled too. Extremely courteous, punctua...

es. There are so many options. Forrest pictures or cool buildings. Kristen and Pam were great. Very helpful and understanding of all the crazy COVID changes we had to make. Kristen was so helpful in the set up and finding a last min photographer. The wedding went off so well.
Kristen and Pam made the wedding easy. Every detail was seen to and everything went extremely well despite Covid.

The wedding coordinator that came with the venue Kristen Larkin was absolutely phenomenal. She made sure that everything we wanted happened and made sure everything went smooth the day of and everything was perfect!! If I was to do it again I wouldn’t change a thing about the venue we chose! I would definitely recommend this venue!
A most impressive wedding venue. Every little detail was attended to, making a stressful day very comfortable!
Love the beautiful Sanctuary stained-glass!

ngs 110%. If you want all that you ask for this is the place and the staff that will deliver and go above and beyond for you. I would recommend Kristen Larkin and the church for any event.
The event, a wedding, was magical! Everything went off without a hitch. The floral arrangements were timeless and romantic. The planner and event staff were very professional. The ...
outdoor scenery for photos was lovely with plenty of options. Another point was the ample parking, that made everything easier!
Will be using this venue and Kristen Larkin in the future for sure!!!

ir own and made the whole wedding day much less stressful. They went above and beyond, they wanted me and my husband to be stress-free on our honeymoon so they even returned something to our decorator while we were on vacation. I'm so glad I picked this venue, not just for the gorgeous church but for Pam and Kristen. I even recommended them to my best friend for her wedding and she's getting married at this venue next month!

ing run smooth. Kristen Larkin was amazing to work with! She is organized, knowledgeable and a joy to work with. She approaches every task with professionalism and grace. She is dependable, responsible and has a gift of making each person she works with feel special. LLUMC has my highest recommendations for a wedding and really any event held at their location.
Kristen and Pam were AMAZING to work with...so sweet, accommodating, responsive and willing to help in any way!
We chose Shipp's Chapel at Lovers Lane UMC for our daughter's wedding. The soft colors and simple style was the perfect ambiance we had wanted for the service.

was great for the bride and her attendants (plus moms) for getting ready on the big day. We had room to set up for the hair and make-up artists, lunch and even relaxing!
Kristen Larkin and Pam Miller were amazing to work with before, during and after the wedding. They listened to all of our dreams and hopes for that big day and skillfully guided us in ways that made it happen!

uresque chapels. However, the organ in Shipp chapel is amazing and Sheryl is wonderful. I cannot recommend this venue and these wonderful people enough!
I’m biased as a member but this is the best place to get married! Kristin & Pam were so easy to work with and went above & beyond to make our special day just great.
This was actually my second time to "tie the knot." I could not have asked for a better venue. I am a Methodist and wanted to have communion at my wedding. It was a beautiful exp...
erience. The best part however (aside from the beauty of the actual place) is the competency of the wedding coordinators. They asked for all the right things (even the stuff my wife and I forgot about). On the wedding day everything went absolutely smoothly without ANY hick-ups, which is in my personal opinion almost impossible. Thank you Kristen and team and Lovers Lane for making this day truly special!
PS: We had tons of family overseas who were unable to attend so we chose to live stream the wedding. Unbelievable what is possible today! All of my relatives were super impressed even though they had to get up at 3 am LOL. If they needed to sleep int hey could obviously watch the event later on as well.
We loved having our wedding in Wesley Chapel at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. The light coming thru the stained glass was breathtaking. Kristen was a joy to work with. Sh...

case we were able to see the workings of the church in a completely different light. Everything went absolutely according to plan, and Kristen made our very nervous bride feel as though she had nothing to worry about. With the additional staff she brought in for our large event, all of whom are also good friends, we knew we were in the greatest of hands. What a beautiful day we had! Thanks to all involved!
My husband and I had such a wonderful experience with Pam and Kristen! They listened to our needs, communicated in a timely manner, and were so helpful in helping make our wedding ...

Kristen was amazing! Pastor Kennon Pickett was also , along with other staff!
This is a warm and welcoming church!!!

ea what a big deal that is. 10 STARS!!!
My husband and I have not yet joined a church in Dallas, so finding one to get married in was a daunting task. After our tour at LLUMC, it was an obvious choice! The Shipp Chapel ...
is beautiful.. but that isn't what made our decision to get married at LLUMC so easy - it was the people. Everyone we met from at LLUMC was so sweet, welcoming, and organized! Pam & Kristen were absolutely perfect in every way! Reverend Bruce Hearn is a true gem! We couldn't have asked for better personalities to be surrounded by on our big day! We even had guests who attended our ceremony say that they wanted to start going to LLUMC!
Our Wedding at LLUMC was magical! I grew up going to church at Lovers Lane, so when the time came for me to tie the knot I knew where I wanted it to be. We held our ceremony in t...
he Wesley Chapel. Wesley Chapel has three walls of beautiful stained glass! It was magical! And we received so many compliments from all of our guests. Also the other joy of having your wedding at Lovers Lane is Kristen! Kristen is able to make you feel perfectly at ease; you can put your full confidence in her ability to deliver. She took our plan and executed flawlessly! We highly recommend having your wedding at Lovers Lane!

In July, we had the honor of being united in marriage at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church! Kristen and Pam were so sweet and accomodating right from the start, with just three m...
onths to plan our wedding. They both put so much thought and care into creating the perfect day for us. We were beyond excited to be able to have our ceremony in the gorgeous Main Sanctuary. It holds a special place in our hearts, as we both grew up attending/visiting LLUMC. (We even got engaged there!) Kristen and Pam were wonderful at making us feel at ease about every little wedding detail, and made sure our ceremony was everything we desired it to be . Sheryl the organist was so kind as well, meeting with us to plan the music exactly the way we wanted. If you're considering being married a LLUMC - the entire church and grounds are spectacularly stunning, and you'll be taken care of in such a personalized way. And your photos will be amazing!! Our wedding day was so memorable, and being married at Lovers Lane was an absolute dream come true! :)
I couldn't have asked for a better place to get married. The entire experience was perfect. My husband and I were looking for a Methodist church for our wedding and everyone we sp...
oke to had very tight rules. One of the things that was very important to me was having my friend's daughter play violin and no other church would allow us to bring her in and not use their organist. Kristen was amazing from the first time we met her.. easy to work with, on top of everything, super friendly and really caring about the details of our special day. Pastor Scott was also wonderful and after just a couple of meetings we felt like he really got us and personalized our wedding in a perfect way that I will never forget. Of course the church itself is gorgeous and all of the accommodations are everything you would need. It was so nice to not have to think about all of the little details when it came to the ceremony and the church.. Kristen had it all covered and then some. Thank you Kristen, Pam and Pastor Scott for everything!
I had my wedding ceremony in July 2017 at this beautiful church! Pam & Kristen were so amazing to work with. They were so inviting the moment we first met and throughout the proces...
s they always had our best interests at heart. They have so much experiencing organizing weddings at this church which makes you feel even more at ease! Our ceremony took place in the main sanctuary -- which is absolutely stunning with the stained glass windows and the whole facility overall (beautiful scenery outside for pictures as well). I highly recommend this church, you won't regret it! Thanks so much again LLUMC, Pam & Kristen! :)
My husband and I recently got married in Shipp Chapel at Lovers Lane UMC. The natural light is gorgeous and the chapel was a perfect size for the number of guests we had (about 20...
0 including wedding party)! I also LOVED how the aisle slopes downward toward the altar - very unique. Kristen and Pam (the coordinators provided by LLUMC) were AMAZING and made sure my ceremony went off perfectly!! I didn't have to worry about one logistics detail for the ceremony because I knew they had it covered. The bridal suite is spacious and even has speakers in the ceiling that connect to the chapel, so we could hear the organist play as guests were being seated - very cool feature!! The LLUMC campus is beautiful and offers lots of different spots to take pictures: a beautiful courtyard with tons of flowers and a very cool bridge over a small creek on the east side of the property. Overall, I had an A++ experience here, all the way from the planning phase to the day of my wedding!! I wouldn't have wanted to get married anywhere else!!!

My fiance’ and I were recently united in marriage at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church (LLUMC). If you are looking for a beautiful one-stop shop environment for all of your weddi...
ng activities, LLUMC is definitely the place you should consider. As the bride, the last thing I wanted was to have to find a place to rent for our wedding ceremony and another for our reception. We were not only able to have our ceremony and reception at LLUMC, but we also took advantage of the premarital counseling, used the gorgeously landscaped campus to take our engagement photos, and held our rehearsal dinner there. Kristen, the LLUMC wedding coordinator is an absolute delight and specializes in reducing your wedding stress. We thank God for Kristen, Pam, Pastor Kennon, Richard and all the other staff at LLUMC who made our wedding experience so memorable.

ok. As gorgeous as the setting is, the best part was feeling confident that all of the wedding plans were being executed flawlessly by Kristen Larkin, Director of event planning at the church.
LLUMC is a beautiful church and an amazing venue option for the ceremony and "cocktail hour" (which is what we used it for)! The church staff was amazing at communicating with us t...
hrough the planning process. In addition, the music department really went above and beyond collaborating with us on our music and making sure it was exactly what we wanted. Beautiful church, amazing staff and the whole experience itself made our special day perfection!
Pam is the absolute BEST! My husband and I had a hard time finding a place to hold our wedding that would allow us to bring our own officiant and had a nice place for a ceremony an...
d reception. We were working with a fairly tight budget and we were so thankful to find out that the cost of the church included Pam as our coordinator, a pianist or organist, and all of the tables and chairs for the reception. They even have table cloths to rent for a very reasonable price. They have a beautiful bridal suite and a nice groom's room for the wedding party to use on the wedding day and there are beautiful spots for outside pictures as well! They worked so hard to make our wedding day exactly what we envisioned and treated us like family along the way. There were so many small details that Pam helped with to make sure the wedding day went smoothly. She was there from start to finish and was so reassuring and calm throughout the whole process. I am so thankful we chose to get married in Shipp Chapel at LLUMC. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!
I had my wedding ceremony here in February. The staff was very helpful. My planner was at the reception while the ceremony was going on and the wedding coordinator at the church...

This entire campus is gorgeous. Tucked away on a main street, you could pass it by and not even realize it. With more than one choice to have your wedding ceremony and reception,...
depending on your guest count, your options are more than a few and every one of them are beautiful.
The events staff (Kristen is amazing) cater to your every need and if you happen to have your own wedding coordinator, they are happy to take second place and follow instead of lead. I loved having my wedding and reception here and if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change my venue.
We are members at Lovers Lane UMC, so it really was no option on where we would have our ceremony. We did have an option as to where in the church we would get married - and for th...
is, we went with Shipp Chapel, a modern and sleek space of worship with traditional elements such as pews and an altar. Kristin Larkin is the coordinator there and couldn't have been more help. There was nothing we wanted that she said "no" to. She was quick to respond to any question I had via email, which I really appreciated.
