Katie is the best! I love that any time someone has seen her photos of our wedding day the first compliment they have is how amazing the photos are - THEN they mention that we look great too ;) She's such a pro and patient and full of fantastic ideas for truly memorable shots.

Katie was INCREDIBLE for our wedding! We were planning from a distance, and she was able to work with our schedule and our questions, then made time to meet us in person when we arrived in Alexandria to talk through the photo list and plans for the day. She was incredibly kind and took amazing care of us, while also moving things along efficiently and smoothly.

My husband, family, and I are so pleased with Katie and Lovestruck! From the first introduction to the delivery of the photos, she was an absolute pleasure to work with. I'm not the easiest person to work with, but she gelled with me seamlessly! It is important to note that Katie not only captured the moments I wanted, but she also captured ones that I didn't know would happen. Her pictures show the true emotion and happiness of our day. My husband and I had an instant connection with Katie from the moment that we met her when we were interviewing photographers. The photo package we purchased from Katie ncluded an engagement session, photo guest book for the wedding and photography at our ceremony and reception. For the engagement session we wanted photos from our neighborhood in downtown Silver Spring. We had given Katie a couple of location ideas and she scoped those locations out prior to meeting with us. She even scoped out other ideas to find the best photo spots. The guestbook, which included photos from the engagement session, turned out great. Our guests loved it and really enjoyed being able to thumb through the photos. The guestbook lended a very personal feel to the wedding. At the wedding we had Katie and one other photographer. We loved working with both of them. They captured the posed photos that we wanted plus all the fun, candid action shots that we wanted. Our guests told us afterwards that they didn't even notice Katie and her assistant because they were so deliberate to not be noticed. The wedding photos were absolutely perfect. They really captured the day and got all the moments we didn't get to see. We are so excited to see our wedding album. Our experience in working with LoveStruckImages was truly fantastic. For us the most important elements were quality images that would capture the variety of natural moments and expressions throughout our special day. I had seen a lot of mushy portfolios or other examples of images that seemed unnatural- and I was determined to find the right fit for us, AND WE DID!! From the initial conversations to find out more about us, to the end of receiving our albums - the experience with Katie and Stacey was always personable, which meant a lot. They really made the effort to connect and interact in a way that felt comfortable and relaxing. Although they experienced a challenge in getting the lighting balanced in the cathedral from glass window reflections- they were quick to creatively come up with other location solutions to keep everyone on their toes and stay on schedule! We had a brunch the following morning after the wedding, and they sent one of their photographers from our wedding to capture some of the family portraits we hadn't had a chance to do the previous evening. It was so perfect, because we still captured the images with the family that we wanted- and it was a more relaxed setting the day after at our home environment with the beautiful landscaping my parents had done. THOSE images have been so memorable as well, and we are grateful LoveStruckImages made that possible for us! I would recommend them in a heartbeat, because they care :)

Katie was our wedding photographer and we loved her. She was very engaging and good at coaching us along and making us feel comfortable during the engagement photoshoot and all the wedding pictures. Katie has a great personality and was very professional, and did a great job getting pictures of literally everyone who came to our wedding (family, family friends, bride/groom friends, even the DJ). And the pictures are amazing.

If you need a wedding photographer, there is no better choice than Lovestruck Images. Although my initial meeting was with Katie, Stacey (assisted by Matt) ended up doing my engagement and wedding shoots and I couldn't have been more pleased. Stacey and Matt were so easy to work with and so laid back that they were a calming influence for me on my wedding day. They were part of the party without intruding, and in addition to having great personalities they're both amazing photographers! Everyone was raving about the guest book Katie put together with Stacey's engagement shots, and Stacey and Matt's wedding photos are sublime. They captured all the best moments of our day beautifully!

I searched extensively for an awesome photographer and we definitely found one with Katie. My husband and I both liked her instantly when we did our first sit down and she was so wonderful for me to work with since I did most of the communication with her. We went with the MAD LOVE package which had everything we wanted plus a reasonable rate. Photography was a one of top priorities and I could not be happier with selecting Lovestruck Images and I was so happy to have Katie with me on my wedding day! Our engagement session was so much fun (much more fun than I thought it was going to be!). Katie is down-to-earth, funny, and creative. That's a pretty great mix to have behind the camera. We initially chose Katie to do our engagement photos and chose her primarily because we loved her style of work, her flexibility in matching what we were looking for and also her experience and comfort level working with a gay couple. We couldn't have had a better experience (or better photos) so it was a no brainer that we would hire her for our wedding. Preparing for the big day with Katie was flawless, she was totally on top of everything and very professional, yet fun. She had great recommendations for anything and everything related to the wedding, which was really helpful. The day of the wedding was perfect and Katie and Matt were a major part of that. Not only did they act as amazing photographers, they helped keep everyone on track and smiling/laughing. The process of taking all of our photos was easy, fun, and enjoyable and the photos came out better than we expected...and we expected them to be perfect! We wanted to go more editorial in our style and that's exactly what we got. We got so many amazing shots and it was like they were in all the right spots at all the right times...perfect. All of our friends and family who interacted with Katie and Matt commented on how professional, fun, and talented they are. I recommend Katie to everyone and we'll definitely use her in the future for family photography or whatever we can justify using a pro for. My favorite anecdote about Katie is the morning of the wedding, I was stressed (surprise) and was running around telling everyone they were late and we had to rush and when Katie and Matt showed up, she reminded me I was running an hour early and I had been telling everyone the wrong time. I'm glad someone had calm nerves that day! If you're looking for talented, skilled, professional, fun, friendly, beyond-your-expectations photographers, look no further.

Lovestruck Image did a great job at our wedding! They did the photography for my sister's wedding a couple years ago. I had been impressed by my sister's pictures and hoped they would be available for my wedding. I was so happy with the job that Katie and her team did at my wedding. We had the good fortune of meeting Katie Norwood of Lovestruck images at a Gay Wedding Expo in DC in 2011. Katie stood out to us for so many reasons 1. Her captured images are nothing short of amazing. 2. She genuinely connected with us. She was SO excited for us and our ideas and wanted to be a part of our history. On the way home we couldn’t stop talking about her. Fast forward to now. My Wife and I have been married almost a year. The walls of our new home are lined with Lovestruck’s photos. When we look back on our Wedding Day it was a surreal adventure. But if we said that Katie was merely the photographer at our wedding, it would be a lie. She was an advisor, a calming presence in the chaos of friends and family and if I could go back and make her an honorary bridesmaid I absolutely would. In one instance we had a mishap where the keys to one of our vehicles was temporarily lost, stranding half the wedding party and making them ridiculously late to the reception. The rest of our guests were there and we had no one to announce us to the party! Katie went above and beyond and announced us as a wedded couple to our closest relations, bustled my wife's dress in the absence of the MOH, and acted as a bouncer when tourists invaded our wedding ceremony at the West Lawn of the Jefferson Memorial. Not to mention she captured the essence of our surroundings and really utilized the memorials in our photos. We had many opportunities to skimp on wedding vendors, to go with that family friend that sort of knew how to work a camera and that just-finished-college budget to boot. Let me tell you something (because this super long review clearly isn’t enough) Katie Norwood is a professional that knows her craft, understands people and anticipated our needs before we had even registered having them. Katie was wonderful!! My husband and I had our reception at the National Aquarium in Baltimore and we wanted the party to be very informal and relaxed! Katie took amazing pictures inside the Aquarium and under the tent outside. She was very comfortable to work with! I would definitely recommend her to anyone wanting great, creative pictures!!!! Katie is an awesome photographer! She takes beautiful pictures! She managed to capture all of the important moments, get some great candids and took artistic shots as well that are truly unique. She helped us customize our package to include what was important to us. Her photo booth props are hysterical and our guests had an AWESOME time playing with them!! Katie was our photographer for both our engagement session and our wedding day. She is FABULOUS. I seriously mean it when I say you cannot go wrong! She is quick with getting the pictures back and very profession. We absolutely loved working with her and will use her in the future.

We met with about five photographers, and I was iffy about four of them. We met Katie last, and it was truly an a-ha moment. She was on the outer limits of our initial budget, but I decided to push for her because I really loved what she had to show me, and the woman really knows her weddings, as well as photography. Engagement session was great. I knew then that I'd made the right choice! A couple hiccups along the way, but she was completely on top of everything and nothing fazed her. Day of the wedding, we had an awesome time. Katie is very flexible, very enthusiastic, and knows what the bride needs to hear, what she needs to do, better than the bride herself. In the days following the wedding, I kept hearing from all my guests that they LOVED my photographer. I don't think that's a common compliment for weddings, but it was totally deserved. She was great with the guests, her personality is just so great! I just received our wedding photos and the verdict is in. Even though her packages were a little more expensive than we initially wanted, it was worth every penny, and more. I can't stress the importance of wedding photos enough, and I'm extremely happy with the decisions we made on that front. I told Katie that if there was one thing I learned from wedding prep, it was that I never wanted a divorce, because I didn't want to ever plan another wedding. But if I did! I'd call on Katie again, absolutely.

We worked with Katie from Lovestruck for our engagement and wedding photos and she was amazing! She was very helpful throughout the planning process and extremely responsive. On the day of our wedding, Katie and Matt did a fantastic job getting all the shots we wanted and were very professional and fun! We just received our wedding photos and could not be happier. Our engagement album was beautiful and we know our wedding album will be too. Katie was amazing we used her for our engagment pictures and on our wedding day an we love all of our pictures. she was very open minded and got every shot I wanted. she was always avalable to answer my questions from the original meeting, save teh date magnets even past the wedding day desinging our album. During our engament session she spent extra time with us to ensure we got all the pictures we wanted which was amazing an above and beyond for her to do! she even took time out of her day a week or so before the wedding to check out all of our venues to ensure she could get the best pictures. she truely went above and beyond and we loved working with Lovestruck Images... Katie was amazing ... I'd recommend her to anyone wanting a top-notch, positive, can-do photographer. She genuinely cares about her couples, taking extra time to meet with them and make sure they are comfortable with her and with being in front of the camera, prior to the big day. She enjoys what she does, is responsive, organized, decisive, and makes sure her brides & grooms are satisfied. She made such a good impression on our venue coordinator, now they are looking to have her as a recommended vendor and provide pictures for them, too. Our engagement session was a lot of fun -- Katie even spent some extra time with us -- and sent back a few photos earlier than expected, since I needed them for the invitations. She also does a good job at keeping us on schedule for the day of, and managing her professional shots with eager camera-hounds (aka friends & relatives) trying to snap the same shots. We also wanted a photo booth at the last-minute, which was a lot of fun and she had the photo booth images posted for guests within 2 days of our wedding. She offers mutliple levels of service. Ours included a 2nd photographer (easier for weddings over 100 guests), and he did a great job, too! Thank you, Lovestruck Images!

We absolutely love Katie! We had first used her for out engagement photos that turned out perfect. She has great ideas and tells exactly what to do to make the photos look beautiful. We knew we had to have her for our wedding. She was very accomadating to what our needs were. She and her assistant showed up early to our wedding to check out some good spots. They did amazing job, especially with the wedding party and were able to handle all the drunk groomsmen. They both gave great direction and had some really nice idea. Plus I had given Katie some photo ideas that I like and she was able to recreate them for us. The turnaround time was super fast for both the engagment photos and the wedding photos. Katie is very on top of her emails and answered my questions right away. We plan to hire Katie yearly to take photos of us and eventually our family.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lovestruck! Katie and Heather photographed my 9/14/12 wedding and I could not be happier with the quality of the photos as well as the ease in working with them! Katie's laid back attitude paired with her ability to make you comfortable and ensure she gets the shots you care about is such a great combination. Another fantastic point to mention is that a lot of photographers are very intrusive on your day, and I have to say that I didn't even notice they were there-- the entire evening. This allowed for our candlelight, romantic, yet fun ambience to be felt by all, while still getting great coverage of the ceremony and reception. She went above and beyond to study our lighting prior to the day to ensure she could shoot us in the best light. Oh, and you HAVE to get the photo booth! It was such a hit at my wedding-- it lossens folks up and gets them in a fun, party state of mind. My guests all commented on how much fun it was and are really enjoying the pictures from the both. I'm a pretty harsh critic, and I have to say that you can't go wrong with Lovestruck. You worry about a lot of things coming up to the wedding-- don't let his be one-- hire Lovestruck and let them do their thing! No bride intervention needed! I could not be happier!

Lovestruck Images, especially Katie Norwood, were amazing on our wedding day! We had our engagement and wedding day photos taken by Lovestruck and we had unique pictures that were natural looking, elegant and fun! Katie really made our wedding day-she held my lipsticks and found replacement boutineer's for my husband during the entire reception. We also were able to design beautiful photo albums that look like they are out of Town and Country magazine and are super personalized. Lovestruck really made our wedding super special!

Katie was just overall great to work with. Not only was she completely flexible in customizing a photo package that fit exactly what we wanted, but she was really genuine and sincere about helping us figure out how to handle the photography, from advising on where to do our engagement photos, wedding day pictures, and how the logistics would work. She was just super helpful, and really nice about it. On the wedding day; of course it rained, she not only had a back-up plan for where we could take photo's, but had umbrellas for the whole bridal party! During the wedding, she seemed to be everywhere at once, and really did get photo's of everyone that attended. The photo booth was her idea, and it was such a hit with our guests. On top of all that, the photo's came out great, and we are overall so happy we went with her!

This pair of photographers made us feel comfortable and inspired to try some cool shots at our aquarium venue. They handled the tricky lighting (dark, with lots of glass), were friendly, thorough and a great addition to our wedding day. The pictures, also, are just lovely. I'd hire them again, and recommend them to a friend. We also had a photo booth, and the pics from that are priceless :-)

My fiance and I bought a deal off of the weddingchannel for our engagement pictures with Lovestruck Images. We had Katie for our photographer and we could not be happier! Katie was great and so easy to work with even before we met her. We had originally scheduled our session for late March, but when I got a bad haircut I contacted Katie to reschedule. Katie was extremely flexible and I just contacted her after I had some time for my hair to grow out. On the day of the shoot Katie made us feel very comfortable and we got great pictures all over Old Town. She didn't even hold us to the hour that the deal provided, so we were able to get all of the pictures we wanted. We got access to our gallery about a week after the shoot even with the power outages. Katie did a great job editing and retouched the pictures beautifully. Overall, we could not be happier with our pictures or the service we received. We definitely recommend Lovestruck Images and Katie.

She was so easy to work with and was great about customizing our package so that we got just what we wanted AND she was careful about staying within our budget. On our wedding day, Katie arrived ahead of schedule and stayed past the scheduled end time (which was very important since I am a very “type A” bride). My guests loved her as well! I am absolutely thrilled with the services Lovestruck provided before and on my wedding day. My husband and I went the non-traditional route and had a December wedding with just our immediate family at the courthouse. I spoke with Katie at Lovestruck, described what I wanted to achieve and she was completely understanding and accommodating. She met me before the wedding to show me some of Lovestruck’s work, calm my bride’s nerves and reassure me that no matter what happened, or how “stiff in front of a camera” my family was, that Lovestruck would be able to get the shots I wanted. We knew the weather would not be perfect, we knew it would be cold but we thought that at least it would be dry… well, on our day it stormed like crazy! I had been told that they shoot in all weather except for heavy rainfall, and that’s what I had on my big day… heavy rainfall. Our Lovestruck photographer not only provided a calming presence, but throughout the horrible weather she kept shooting, disregarding the rain and simply saying, “I hope nothing happens to my camera.” I had planned an entire photo session around town since our ceremony was so short and we weren’t having a reception, which made the opportunities for candid shots a little slimmer. Needless to say that whole plan went right out the window, but our photographer made some great suggestions, was open to changes in the plan and got great shots anyway! I’ve got some lovely portraits and a lot of beautiful candids and I am super excited about getting it all put together in the album I’ve ordered. I will definitely be going back to Lovestruck when it comes time for future family portraits and have already referred a colleague to them for her daughter’s big day. I recommend them to any modern bride who wants beautiful photos of her big day with all my heart!!! Love Lovestruck!!!!!

The best choice I made for my wedding was picking lovestruckimages as my photographer! They were the only thing that didn't cause me stress! Katie wasn't available on my wedding date so we got the pleasure of working with Stacey (she runs the Labor of Love side of the company) and my husband and I absolutely loved her! She took amazing pictures and made sure we were having fun through the whole process. She even put the camera down and danced with us at the reception :) Even though we didn't get to work with Katie on our wedding day, I get to talk to her about getting our prints/books done. She is just as wonderful as Stacey, responding to every email I send immediately and making sure we are completely happy. I LOVE THEM!

For the final products of printed photos and the albums, their results are beautiful. They do a great job of editing and touching up photos to capture the beauty and mood of each one. They then combine the photos into albums that match the individual personalty of each couple. The photographers are a joy to work with. They have fun and friendly attitudes. And they work in an unobtrusive way, never stopping the action or trying to be the center of attention. In sum, Lovestuck captured our big day with beautiful photos in an easy-to-work with way. They covered pretty much everything...have a wonderful photojournalistic style, an eye for the unique and were mostly able to handle the super difficult lighting at our church!! She was prepared with instructions at our engagement session which was helpful but also was able improvise on the fly - the pics turned out great and our guests loved the photos. Overall the wedding photos turned out great (too many awesome shots to choose from) and the sunset shots were taken at the right moment. A+R

We were so happy to find an affordable photographer (Katie), whose work we respected on an artistic level, and who we liked so much as a person. Since we had a very limited guest list, the pictures that Katie took of our wedding are the window through which our extended family, friends, and eventually our children, and grandchildren, will see our wedding. Since so much of our wedding is a happy blur, Katie’s pictures reflect a good portion of what will be our memories of that day. They truly capture the emotions of my husband and I, and those of our guests, and as we grow old together we can look at them and feel all of the love from our family and friends again, and again.

We began our photographer search months prior to our wedding with the notion that I'm a picky bride, planning a personalized wedding and no ordinary photographer would do. They even rushed an album from our engagement session to use as our wedding sign-in book, and it was elegant and classy – just what we were looking for. Our pictures turned out amazing and Lovestruck helped us create a memorable wedding day. They kept us organized and on schedule and they made our portrait sessions fun! They found the perfect places in our venue to shoot our pictures. They even helped to bustle my dress when we ran into trouble! These ladies are professional, compassionate, fun, quirky and TALENTED! I would have made a huge mistake if I had chosen a different photographer because Lovestruck contributed so much to make our wedding day and forever pictures perfect!!

When planning my wedding, the selection of an extraordinary photographer was a top priority. They are incredibly professional, talented, reliable, and so much fun! Both our wedding and engagement pictures turned out beautifully. Working with Lovestruck Images was a true pleasure from start to finish. My photographer, Stacey, was very responsive from my initial contact throughout the whole process. She took the time to get to know our personality as a couple and find out what style photos we wanted. On my wedding day, the photography was seamless and all specific photos I requested were taken along with tons more! Stacey and her colleague made the process fun and it was very easy to be myself and look natural. Most importantly, I received my electronic proofs timely and they are absolutely GORGEOUS! First let me say that we found Lovestruck after viewing our friends album that Katie made for their wedding. We were married on Feb. 6th, 2010 in Baltimore. If you're from the area you'll know we got several feet of snow that shut down airports and Baltimore City almost completely. Katie really set us at ease by coming in a day early and beating the storm. Everything went perfectly, other than the weather! Katie and Grace at Lovestruck did a great job making us feel that the day was truly ours and they couldn't have been more professional. The photos were excellent and the albums are absolutely the nicest albums I've ever seen. Oh and we had a very hands-on experience creating the album. We recommend whole-heartedly Lovestruck images. I used Lovestruck for my May 2010 wedding and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. My photos are absolutely beautiful, I can’t stop looking at them!! Katie was so easy to work with – in planning elements beforehand and the day of. I did a lot of research before choosing Lovestruck and thought they offered great style, quality and value for the money. We had two photographers and opted for the photo booth as well. I definitely recommend hiring the second photographer, it was great seeing the most special moments from two different angles. The photo booth pictures were so awesome and fun! Even now, 6 months later, people can’t stop talking about it. On the day of, Katie and her co-photographer were on time, kept us on schedule and very organized. I wouldn’t have changed anything about the experience and I have definitely recommended Lovestruck to several of my friends.

I chose Katie at Love Struck images on the recommendation of another bride. When I looked at her company's portfolio I was initially impressed with the how the candid shots really captured incredibly intimate, and beautiful moments of the day. She also did some great traditional shots as well. Throughout the process Lovestruck made me feel as though I was working with friends, they told me things to think about, coordinated extremely well with my other vendors and my venue. I was not the most organized bride, so their help was appreciated. The day of the wedding my photographer was great, I hardly noticed she was there, but she captured the most amazing moments of the day. I was truly happy with my photos. The photographer was also helpful, one of my vendors was late and she called them for me, she was helpful and checked in with my wedding coordinator on various details so that my bridesmaids and I didn't have to. I'm not sure I can say enough about how helpful she was, I was just really impressed with the fact that she went above and beyond her job. Not sure I can say enough good things or do justice to Lovestruck, but I would highly recommend them and would use them again.
