Lowjack is an American rock and roll band based out of State College, PA, with a long history in the Penn State community. Booking them can easily be one of the highlights of your wedding day! Led by former Breaking Benjamin member Jason Davoli and nationally award winning fiddler Daniel Collins, Lowjack brings an impressive catalog of music to life in a genuine heartfelt way. From beautiful violin music, to chill happy hour vibes, to a full on dance party for your reception Lowjack has the diversity to enhance the day from the start of the ceremony to last call. With over a decade of experience playing weddings, Lowjack knows how to make your wedding day smooth and memorable!
Here are some of our most popular wedding packages. As weddings are customizable by nature, so are our packages— we can work with you to bring your vision to life.
Party with Lowjack —
If you have ever seen Lowjack at the Phyrst on a Saturday night, this this what you are familiar with! The full electric band consists of 3 vocalists, guitars, drums, bass, keys, and fiddle. The music played at the reception is tailored to a party vibe for people to dance. sing, and drink to! Fan favorites include rocking versions of Mr Brightside, Piano Man, Shipping up to Boston, Stand by Me, and a mesmerizing version of Devil Goes Down To Georgia. Both modern and classics from the past lowjack pulls from the catalogs of rock and roll, country, and pop— we aim to play music that transcends the generations and is universally known and loved! Typically 2-3 hours.
Evening with Lowjack—
This includes everything in the party package plus:
A 60-90 minute acoustic Lowjack “lite” cocktail hour set performed by Jason (acoustic guitar/vocals) and Dan (Fiddle /Vocals). This is typically geared towards a more mellow background music vibe while people drink and talk. Comfortable and not too loud. However, ff people want to sing and dance we are always prepared!
Full Day Wedding with Lowjack —
This includes everything in the previous two packages plus:
An assortment of melodic violin pieces with the acoustic guitar accompaniment for the ceremony. We play while guests arrive to the ceremony and the wedding parties enter and of course the bridal walk! After the ceremony is complete, we play as guests leave to go to the cocktail hour. This is typically around 60-90 min.

+ DJ/MC Services
You may wish to have lowjack DJ and MC your wedding. This helps the event go smoothly and ensures the least amount of dead air between weddings segments. We will DJ between sets, dinner, and MC the dances as well as handle all general announcements for the day.

Dan Collins was wonderful to work with from the preliminary planning stages of our wedding up until the last moments of the evening. We met and discussed how the band would complement each step of the day and made a timeline to create a seamless flow. Dan, Jason and Alex performed at our wedding and their musical talent and band chemistry exceeded our expectations. They were able to read the room and play a wide selection of music that complimented every special moment throughout the day. The bandmates set the tone for the ceremony and kept friends and family on the dance floor all night. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone! We received so many compliments on how wonderfully they vibed together and created a fun atmosphere for our wedding. I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to describing how great Lowjack is—and there truly aren’t enough words in the dictionary to capture how amazing and talented they are. Lowjack isn’t just a wedding band; they’re an experience—electric, crowd-engaging, and create an unforgettable dance floor.
I’ll admit, I was hesitant about hiring a band for our wedding because they can be hit or miss. I’ve been to weddings where it was definitely a miss! But after randomly stumbling upon Lowjack at a bar near Penn State, my now-husband and I instantly knew we wanted them at our wedding (and I mean instantly, I emailed them the morning after lol).
We ended up booking them for the full wedding day package at our venue in Hudson, NY (The Basilica), and it was hands-down one of the best decisions we made during the entire planning process. Not only are Dan and the entire band incredibly talented, but they are also some of the kindest, most authentic, and down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet. From the very beginning, they were attentive and gracious, taking the time to understand exactly the vibe we wanted—our vision was a packed dance floor all night long. Not only did they deliver, they exceeded every expectation. Dan even went above and beyond to pull off a particularly challenging request for my walk-down-the-aisle song, and he nailed it. My mom even secretly reached out to the band about a flash mob she and her friends wanted to surprise me with during the party, and they executed incorporating that into the set masterfully!
Lowjack helped make our wedding one of the most memorable days of our lives. The goal of keeping guests on the dance floor all night? Mission accomplished. I mean literally everyone was on the dance floor. It’s been nearly 10 months since our wedding, and people are still telling us how amazing our band was and how rare it is to find a group like them.
Needless to say, we love Lowjack, and they’ll forever hold a special place in our hearts. We’re not only grateful to them for making our wedding day so unforgettable—we’re grateful to now call them friends.

Our guests favorite part of the wedding was Lowjack! Our guests haven’t stopped talking about the band a whole year later because they had so much fun. Lowjack is incredible at keeping the party alive and playing a variety of music to engage all ages at the wedding. They truly have the best sound and we’re so thankful we booked them for the wedding. SO worth it! It made our reception so memorable. We had other family members book them for future events after the wedding because they did such an incredible job. Lowjack is the perfect band for your wedding. I can’t recommend them enough, thank you Lowjack!!
These guys were SO good! We chose Lowjack to get away from the cheesy wedding bands and they did not disappoint. Dan was easy to communicate with and they were incredibly professional. One of the highlights of the wedding, honestly. They did cocktail hour, a beautiful song for the ceremony, and killed the reception! I am still getting comments from guests how great they were.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Lowjack as our wedding band. They brought the Phyrst to our wedding reception, with timeless classics, PSU staples, and modern hits to have every guest dancing the night away! If you want to feel like you are dancing to your favorite band in your favorite hometown bar this is the band for you! They were extremely professional, responsive, accommodating, and fun! Every single guest we have spoken to has commented on 1. The AMAZING music and TALENTED musicians and 2. How kind each and every band member was, taking time to speak to the guests and make meaningful connections. They took all of our requests seriously and made the night go seamlessly. They provided a mix of live music, cocktail tunes and DJ services to fit our exact needs and preferences. If you want a night that guests will be talking about for years on end, straying away from the cookie cutter wedding bands/DJ this is the perfect fit.
If you’re considering a band for your wedding day, look no further. Lowjack is absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision to have them at our wedding. From the lovely music they played during the ceremony, the dj service at dinner, and the amazing reception music, they nailed it! Communication from the time of booking to the day of the wedding was also impeccable, which to a bride is so very helpful. At the time of this review, our wedding was almost two months ago, and people are STILL asking me where they’re from and even have plans to go see them again in State College. In short, book them! You won’t be disappointed and you and your guests will have a BLAST!
We booked Lowjack for our October 2023 wedding in Ocean Pines, Maryland. We knew we wanted a band for our reception because we were sick of hearing the same old wedding songs over the years. Lowjack played music from all eras, genres and generations. They kept the party going and had everyone on the dance floor.
In addition to playing during our reception, they also coordinated the music during our ceremony, played a “lite” set during cocktail hour, and MC’ed our bridal party introductions. We appreciated their willingness to travel. It was worth every penny to book the entire package.
Our guests compared our reception to “being at a concert” and “being on Broadway in Nashville”. Lowjack is a great group of guys who know how to bring the energy to any occasion.
Lowjack absolutely crushed it for our wedding! Not only did they learn two songs for my fiancé and me to walk down the aisle to, but they made a curated set list suited to our style of music and brought the best energy for our big night. Highly recommend if you want to have N epic wedding too! Every guest was commenting on how amazing they were. It felt like a concert in our barn!
When my husband and I decided that we wanted to get married in State College, we knew that we wanted Lowjack to perform, having seen them at bars around Penn State for years. We had them perform for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, all with a different vibe. They started with an acoustic duet as we walked down the aisle. I had a specific song in mind from Lord of the Rings that I wanted to go down the aisle to and Dan learned it and it really surprised all of our guests. After the ceremony, Daniel and Jason did an acoustic set for the cocktail hour. After dinner, the dance floor was never empty when the music was playing. Lowjack kept the energy up all night! I cannot recommend them enough!
The best band for our wedding that we could have ever imagined!! These guys know how to party and get EVERYONE on the dance floor! We received so many compliments. They make the experience so personal. Highly, highly recommend!
My husband and I have been watching Lowjack shows at the Phyrst and Brewery for a decade now. We love live music and have always been drawn to Lowjack's energy, song selection, and talent. When it was time to choose our wedding entertainment, there was no other choice but Lowjack for us. Daniel and Jason began the afternoon with a beautiful string duet performance as we walked down the aisle. After the ceremony, Daniel and Jason performed during the cocktail hour and then gave a beautiful rendition of "Stand by Me" for our First Dance that many people in the room in tears. After dinner, 90 percent of our guests headed to the dance floor as soon as Lowjack strummed the first few chords of "Mr Brightside." Lowjack kept the energy high for the rest of the night, and everyone had a blast! If you're planning a wedding in central Pennsylvania, we highly recommend booking Lowjack!
