This was the most gorgeous venue. We had the wedding inside, the reception outside, and our guests from out of town stayed here for two nights.
Dean and Denise, the hosts were so warm, fun, accommodating, and kind. The property is beautiful inside and out. Beautiful interiors, gorgeous art on the walls, comfortable and yet aesthetically pleasing, COMFY beds, filled with light. It is lush, green, roomy and beautiful outside. Right by the river, filled with flowers, and just a dream. DELICIOUS breakfast included.
Our guests loved it and so did we. So glad we got married here. Beautiful memories.
We held our wedding here in early June 2019, and rented out the whole house for the weekend, holding the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception there. We were extremely happy with how everything turned out - we had high expectations and everything turned out wonderfully. The gardens and house are beautiful, comfortable and well suited to entertaining a small to medium sized wedding (we had 50 people). The rooms are comfortable, well thought out and clean. Dean and Denise were incredibly helpful every step of the way, very responsive and easy to work with, and very accommodating.
As the weather was lovely, we held the ceremony in the front garden, had appetizers and drinks on the front patio and then held the reception at tables spread out under the trees in the front lawn. We also easily hosted 25 people for the rehearsal dinner inside. Some of our guests had reduced mobility, but had no problems with accessibility. Everyone enjoyed exploring the gardens, watching the birds, and chatting around the fire.
Fantastic Place and People at Loya’s! We couldn’t have dreamt of a better wedding day than we experienced at Loya’s with the Biechlers! From sitting down months ahead of time, over additional meetings and contacts, they were so wonderful to work with. Having a late fall event, the weather was a big question mark right up to the big day; they helped cover all the bases and gave us solutions to potential problems we hadn’t even considered. They are familiar with the various local vendors and handled things like equipment & tent delivery and set up; we had no worries and could concentrate on enjoying the days before, the day, and after. We had a combination indoor/outdoor affair that seemed to please all guests and definitely us. Friends and family were made to feel so welcome, whether staying in the B&B (which was wonderful unto its own experience) or just attending the wedding and after celebration. I highly recommend (and have) Loya’s.
Loya's Little House was an ideal setting for our wedding, and we highly recommend it to anyone planning a wedding . The outdoor areas and gardens around the house are beautiful, and offered numerous natural backgrounds for photos with family and friends. We had ample space outside for a tent and chairs, with room to spare for musicians, etc. The rooms inside the house were spacious and very comfortable, which was an added benefit - my wife's family traveled a long distance to join us. Staying the weekend at the B&B gave us more time together, and took a lot of stress out of getting ready for the big day. Loya's is easy to reach (near Ames, Iowa), but still offers a quiet, picturesque setting with a combination of prairie, woods, and trails along the river. The hosts, Denise and Dean, could not have been more helpful and easy to work with. We give Loya's Little House our highest recommendation.
