Let me start by saying that I am notoriously picky about my hair and makeup -- every time I've ever gotten my hair or makeup done, there were usually tears, and I usually ended up showering to start over! #dramatic. Then Angela came into my life. She NAILED IT for my trial, and NAILED IT on my wedding day. She is funny, nice, charismatic and made me feel relaxed and happy. She made all of my bridesmaids look gorgeous, and I was super happy with my own makeup! Perfectly natural. Loved my hair, loved it all. (Which I'm telling you, is a miracle!! I'm just not a big makeup wearer!!) Felt pretty all day and night. Most importantly, I felt like MYSELF. Angela and her assistant were perfect.

I had an absolutely incredible experience working with Angela--she was extremely laid-back, open to feedback, and willing to work to get my hair to be exactly the way I wanted it. She did my hair (mostly down, some pulled back, big curls) for a trial, my bridal portraits, and my wedding day (she did my hair, my mother's hair, and the mother of the groom's hair, all on-location). She did a great job all three times, with an eye for detail. The day of the wedding, she hung around for extra time to ensure my hair lasted right up until the ceremony. She was fun to work with, did a great job, and was very accommodating to everyone! I would highly recommend working with her and will absolutely hire her if I ever have another event in the Austin area.

I was actually disappointed with my experience. It was my wedding day and she had a horrible personality and made the entire bridal suite uncomfortable. A little friendliness and a smile go a long way! My hair was o.k. But not exactly what I asked for. And my makeup was messed up! One of my eyes had way more eyeshadow and was not evened out the same. It shows in pictures. I will say it was convenient to have her come on location but I wouldn't recommend. Everything happens so fast on your wedding day that I didn't even have a chance to say anything. I didn't want to give a bad review however thinking back on my wedding day.. I would want anyone else to have a negative experience or pictures that they don't love.

Angela is a great pick for a makeup artist and hair stylist. She listened to exactly what each girl wanted and was not afraid to help guide each of us to improving what we wanted. All of my girls looked phenomenal. She pays great attention to cleaning each brush between people so there is no risk of contamination. To top things off she was a blast to hang out with while getting ready.

Angela is the most incredible make-up artist and hair stylist! I came across Lucie Marie from my wedding planner and upon looking at their website and reading their blog, that I had to hire them as my glam squad for our wedding. Angela was extremely great to work with and responded to every question I had very promptly. I booked appointments for trial hair and makeup for my engagement photos and even booked an appointment for my mom, just to show my mom how beautiful she would look for the wedding as well. Angela did her magic with makeup and hair and made both my mom and I look stunning. She made my mom feel so amazing, that she even cried when she looked in the mirror. My mom had not been treated to such pampering and was in just awe with how beautiful she looked. Anyone who can make my mom feel like that is a keeper! And that is exactly what I did…I signed up for extra hair and make-up sessions, just because I wanted to catch up with Angela and have a good laugh session. She instantly became one of my friends and I just loved hanging out with her and looked forward to hanging out with her on my wedding day. She did her magic again with making my bridesmaids, flower girl, my mom and I look specular for the wedding. I tried my best not to cry when I looked in the mirror, but Angela has a special way a making you feel and look the best ever! My dad was speechless when he saw me and my fiancé was in awe, as well. I can’t thank Angela enough for making me the most beautiful bride on my wedding day! I’m now looking for excuses to get my hair and make-up done!

I have never in my life felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day! I rarely wear makeup (and if I do, it's very little), but knew I wanted to wear some color on my big day. I was a bit skeptical on whether I could look glamorous but still very natural... until I found Angela from LucieMarie! She's an absolute gem of a person, and a has a wonderful ability to bring our your natural beauty. She listens to what you want and works with you to get it exactly right. It was a breeze to book with her, and she gladly came out to our wedding venue on the day of, which was in the middle of nowhere :) So many people commented on how wonderful I looked, and my new husband won't stop talking about how breathtaking he thought I was! (Now that makes a woman feel beautiful!) My deepest thanks to Angela for her wonderful work in making me feel like my best self! Now stop searching, and BOOK her before she's busy on your big day!!!

Angela and her team at Lucie Marie did an excellent job on hair and makeup for our wedding party. They did makeup for the mothers of the bride/groom, bridesmaids, and bride. They are incredibly talented. We all felt our absolute best!

Angela is awesome. I needed to find someone who could do hair and makeup and would travel to my venue (about 1.5 hours outside of Austin) for my wedding this past month. I was really drawn to how soft her makeup looked; I wanted to look like the best version of myself on my wedding day, not extremely made-up. Angela was quick on email and did an amazing test run for me, so I was sold. I really appreciated how flexible and patient Angela was while I figured out the day-of schedule and finalized the list of women getting hair and makeup done leading up to the wedding. On my wedding day, Angela and her assistant showed up with a fun playlist and great vibe. They made getting ready fun and kept the atmosphere lively. And everyone loved their hair and makeup! It ended up being an extremely windy and rainy day and all of our hair and makeup held up through the night. I didn't even need to re-apply my lipstick once! People are still complimenting my hair and makeup, weeks after the event! I cannot recommend LucieMarie enough!

luciemarie was recommended to us by the wonderful ladies of our venue (the winfield inn -- also fantastic!). i went out for a hair and makeup trial and was very pleased with what angela did, so i booked her right away. she and her colleague chelsea came out to the winfield on the day of my wedding and did lovely hair and makeup for myself, 5 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and 2 flower girls. angela not only does great work, but she's also got a great dry sense of humor, so we all had fun hanging out together! and everyone was pleased with the looks she created. . . including my hard-to-please mother who has thinning hair -- angela assured her she was up for the challenge, and did not disappoint! luciemarie was great!!

My stylist Lauren Ridings did a fantastic job with my hair and makeup! When I came in for my trial I had short hair with a blunt cut but I warned her that I would be getting extensions and bangs before my wedding. She assured me that would be fine. The day of my wedding after getting my extensions and bangs, she was true to her word and came through flawlessly! Everything looked fantastic and I was very happy with the way everything turned out! I just wish it weren't so expensive!

LucieMarie did a wedding I was in a few months back and we were all super pleased with how we looked and felt! The bride looked amazing, and Angela even helped us with refashioning her veil! It is also so much easier to have them come to you on the big day, saves all of the hassle! Totally worth it!

I absolutely loved my hair and makeup!!! Angela is amazing and I could not have been more pleased with how I looked on the most memorable day of my life! She uses mostly Redken hair products and mostly MAC makeup, she also does airbrush makeup, which is the route I went! I have already recommended LucieMarie to friends who have recently gotten engaged!

I struggled a lot with the idea of an updo and airbrush makeup. I didn't know a lot about it and really thought it wasn't for me. During my trial, Angela educated me more about the pros and cons of both and decided to try it out. The results were beautiful and even better on the actual day. Highly recommend!

Angela did such an amazing job on all of our hair and makeup for my renewal ceremony. I mean I think that the renewal was more amazing than my wedding 13 years before. I was so excited to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding! Angela and her assistant are very professional (but fun), arrived on time, and did an amazing job in what felt like such a short time!! Angela did an amazing natural look for me, and walking down the aisle I knew everyone thought I was the beautiful bride I had always dreamed of being one day! I will definitely refer anyone I know getting married and in need of hair and makeup, to them! The on location thing is definitely a plus too!!

I am so glad I found Lucie Marie! The girls are amazing! Angie did my hair and makeup as well as my bridal parties. I love love love that she wont let the other girls hair similar hairstyles to mine. I originally opted out of a trial and met with Angela for my bridal portraits. I went to her office inside of a bakery which was really cute. Angela was hilarious and so much fun to work with. I have very fine/thin hair and she was able to do the style I wanted while making my hair look so much fuller. The makeup was flawless. I've never had my makeup professionally done so I was nervous, but I definitely left feeling gorgeous. On my wedding day Angela arrived with her assistant Chelsea. They managed to get all of my bridesmaids (8) hair and makeup done so fast and seamlessly. I was able to add my moms hair and makeup in as well. I've never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. I just wish they could come to my house every morning!

I loved working with Angela at LucieMarie! She did my hair and makeup for both my bridal portraits and wedding. I am one of those people that usually feels weird/not pretty when other people do my makeup. I was pretty nervous I wasn't going to like it, but Angela was great! She made me feel so beautiful. I felt like an old Hollywood star, which was exactly the look I wanted. She was also really easy to work with - If I didn't like something at first, she was great at doing adjustments to make things look exactly as I wanted. I felt very comfortable communicating with her. On the wedding day she was super efficient and was great at working with all of the different personalities of my bridal party and my Mom. It was a great experience, and I definitely recommend her!

I found Lucie Marie through theKnot.com. Angela, the owner/manager emailed me right away after I inquired about their services. Many places I never heard back from them at all. She quickly sent me information on all services they offer, and Lauren, who does hair and makeup, was able to come to my home for a trial run and to my hotel before my wedding. I showed her a few pictures and described what I wanted. She was able to beautifully convey exactly what I wanted without hesitation. The prices were very decent in comparison to others, and I was very pleased.

i am a ponytail, no makeup kind of girl in real life so I was worried about not looking like myself on my wedding day because of heavy makeup and a structured hairdo. My make up and hair were soft and natural yet lasted all day and into the night. The only thing I had to reapply at all was lip gloss, of course, and some mascara after 8 hours of wedding/reception before going out. Not too bad I'd say! It was a crazy windy day and my hair held up nicely, even when we were outside a lot at the reception. All that and Angela was easy to be around and understood what I was looking for. She was on time, early really, and ready to go when I walked in the door.

I loved, loved Angela! She did my hair and make-up for engagement, bridals and my wedding. Hilarious personality, not to mention super talented. She talked me into air brush make-up and I loved it. She was also very patient with me as I would email her photos of hair styles I was thinking about for my wedding. Angela was amazing. I did not want to be stressed out on my wedding day and Angela made sure this would not happen. When we met at the hair and make-up trial, I felt at ease. She made us laugh and took all of my ideas and vision and made it happen. She is truly talented. The day of the wedding was the same way, she showed up and in minutes we were laughing and having fun. There were 6 people for hair and 3 for makeup, she was able to do all of this herself in 3 hours. AND our hair and makeup lasted all night. You cannot go wrong with Angela!

Angela did hair and make up for myself, my two bridesmaids, my mother, grandmother, and aunt. And she was fabulous! I can’t believe how quickly she was able to get everyone ready. We actually started timing her, we were just amazed at how quickly she worked and how wonderful everyone looked! I had several changes to my contract along the way. I had two bridesmaids, then one, and then back to two. She was always very sweet and didn’t seem at all annoyed with all my emails and questions. On the wedding day she arrived early to get set up and had us all done ahead of schedule. She created such a relaxed and fun atmosphere, we were all at ease and were able to joke around with her and just have a great time. My review comes without hesitation that Angela with LucieMarie is a phenominal makeup artist. Angela was detail oriented and dedicated to making sure that my makeup was flawless on our special day. She color matched my skin tone perfectly. In addition I have a subtainially noticable birthmark on my neck and shoulders that she covered beautifully and made me feel even prettier than I ever anticipated. I had my makeup applied at 10:00 am in the morning and it lasted all through our reception and after party til 1:00 am!
