They don't answer their phone, it takes several days up to several weeks to get a response, often with incomplete or conflicting information - or sometimes never getting questions answered at all. They don't talk to each other so they can double book across salespeople, or across events like weddings & events promoting their property - make sure you know exactly what's on the books, what's in your contract, if you have to book alcohol through them, and get everything in writing. I couldn't get clear pricing and felt swindled into the biggest package as if there was no other option, and then they 4x-ed the cost of alcohol on top of the already costly venue rental. It's important to look at all up costs for the full wedding knowing it'll be 12.5K or more for the physical location, tables and chairs. Pictures from their brochure don't represent their inventory, such as arches. Be prepared to take care of every single last detail down to bringing your own trash bags. I would only recommend booking here if you have a coordinator that will do it all - definitely not just day of - and full staff catering that includes staff, rentals, all food, and bar. You'll need separate lighting. We piece-mealed it together not realizing how much had to be done to make this venue function for an event, which ended up costing us at least 3-4x what a more inclusive venue would have, totally 18 vendors throughout the weekend. There are only snacks onsite, a food truck seems usually open next door for lunch, but otherwise, we fed our guests all meals through the weekend else they'd be driving into town or all BYO, which would hard for those flying in to get glamping / grilling in order. People were always on the search for water, the speakers in the beer garden weren't working and had to be fixed. They are way understaffed so ordering drinks from the pool is unreliable, for example. Individuals were really nice. It just felt understaffed, that they weren't empowered to make decisions or make things happen, that their systems aren't set up for error proof processes. It was honestly a huge mess. I near risked my job to find the time to do all the necessary planning to get through it. In the end, guests loved the property, the thoughtfully designed cabins, the pools, eating under the trees, the view from the overlook, many spaces to spend quality time together and rooftop dancing. So the ultimate guest experience is why I'm giving them any stars, but it was a terrible, stressful, heavy planning and execution experience from the bride's vantage point to pull it off.

I am very disappointed with the lack of trustworthiness from the staff. I had accidentally left a pair of boots in my cabin, & called the very next day to have someone check. I got a call back that evening, letting me know that they would check with the cleaning staff the next day. I then received a call from David who said that the cleaning crew never saw my boots & nothing was returned to “lost & found”. I gave specific details as to where they were (because I know exactly where they were left). David called back again & said that he was also unable to find them. I asked if anyone else had stayed in that room since I was there, & they said “no”... which only leaves the staff. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels & AirBnBs, & have never had anyone steal my left-behind belongings — they have always been returned (some places have even taken the liberty of sending them to me). I would not recommend staying here, based solely on the blatant dishonesty & pocketing of guests property.

We held our wedding at Lucky Arrow Retreat. LA provided exactly what we wanted - onsite lodging for all of our guests and a beautiful location. Communication was an issue. LA went through at least three event coordinators/points of contact while we worked with them. While we understand turnover in that position is common, it was frustrating to have one person communicate one thing to us and the next person to have no memory of that agreement. There was poor continuity between coordinators. The main issue was the restaurant. At the time we signed our contract, Sophie stated the restaurant would open in October 2023. When that didn't happen, Michelle stated the restaurant would open before our wedding in September 2024, but if it didn't, LA would bring food trucks or similar onsite for guests to buy food at. Three weeks before our wedding, Megan admitted the restaurant would not open before our wedding and invited us to contract with their caterer to pay to cater three additional meals over our wedding weekend (versus have a food option available for our guests to purchase). When we re-raised the food truck idea, Megan had not thought of that or seen in LA's notes, but thankfully agreed to bring the same food truck onsite for each meal time. There were small issues with lodging. We arranged with LA to place our guests in certain cabin numbers to be near each other. LA did rearrange some, but not all. Guests who arrived late could request their lock number ahead of time, but LA gave two groups the wrong code and then were unavailable after hours to correct the mistake, so guests were locked out of their lodging. Two lodgings had scorpions in them upon arrival. Service over our wedding weekend was great when Serena was there. On Sunday morning, the Front Desk was manned by a woman on her first day. This did not work out when guests wanted to place coffee orders and each coffee took over five minutes. Later on Sunday, there was one staff member onsite for the entire property. This is not a new comment, as we read several reviews about the skeleton staff. In the end, despite 14 months of misrepresentations, it worked out and this is a beautiful venue. As the couple, you will need to take a lot of initiative in communicating and keeping a written record, since LA will not.

This is a beautiful location and we chose this for our wedding weekend because it offered a unique experience for us and our guests. The location boasts 40 private cabins for guests to stay at and relax as well as other amenities - beer garden, two pools and other activities on site. However, I wish I would have known several things about this venue before signing the contract. The amount of stress and anxiety we experienced is something I fear that many brides who have booked wedding events here in the past few months to the upcoming year have experienced or are currently experiencing. The majority of problems stem from employee turnover which is likely a consequence of how lean the company operates. Over the course of 9 months, the location had 3 different event coordinators, 2 different general managers and several different employees serving the front. We would visit the venue every 2 months and there was always some change in the staffing. The recent addition of Serena has improved things as she was very responsive and quick to resolve issues that arose. However, there were still issues that came up. During our wedding weekend, there were four rooms whose Air Conditioning did not work. On Friday night when the first guests checked in and realized their A/C wasn’t working they were moved to a different room but the issue was never resolved. Guests checking in Saturday night were moved to the same room and still had no A/C working and had to find a last minute AirBnB while others shared rooms with friends. From conversations with the front desk, it seemed this was an ongoing issue but because we had booked out all the cabins there were no extra rooms for people to take. They did call out two different A/C vendors and did credit the rooms back to the guests but it seems like a known issue that they weren’t equipped to handle. There were other issues with the agreed upon table setup, broken chairs being placed at tables and a broken floorboard on the roof. Thankfully, the setup was done the day before so we were able to rearrange everything and replace the broken chairs. Some other things to note. We learned later there was no housekeeping during our stay, breakfast was only served on Saturday morning and pool towels were only stocked in the morning. Overall, this is a beautiful venue but their desire to grow with insufficient staffing and minimal maintenance makes one to believe they are thinking too far ahead without focusing on the needs of their current guests.

We used Lucky Arrow Retreat for our wedding room block (our venue was also in Dripping Springs), as well as our welcome party during the evening before the wedding day. Accommodations -- The guests were floored by the property. We had many out-of-town guests who decided to arrive a few days early to make vacations out of their Lucky Arrow stays. Our wedding guests effectively rented out the property, which created a more intimate feel compared to a traditional hotel. A couple of our guests accidentally booked the wrong weekend, but Lucky Arrow quickly changed their booking (and upgraded their accommodations) free of charge! It can be a little tricky getting an Uber/Lyft from Dripping Springs back to the airport, so consider renting a car or scheduling an Uber/Lyft in advance. Same deal for food, scope out the Dripping Springs options in advance and figure out how you will get around the area. Welcome Party -- We chose to have a welcome party rather than a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. We rented out the Event Center at Lucky Arrow and booked catering for the entire guest list for a casual buffet dinner. The weather was beautiful so guests were able to mingle and eat outside the event center, as well as on the rooftop patio. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding at Lucky Arrow Retreat and it was fantastic. It started off rocky, and I have to say I was pretty nervous when I was being introduced to my 3rd venue contact, but we scored big with Amanda. She was absolutely wonderful to work with! The whole staff is fantastic. Upon our arrival they had champagne waiting in our cabin. It was very sweet. I will also acknowledge that when wedding planning, it is ideal for a venue to offer as much as possible. When I started wedding planning I wanted a venue with all-inclusive options, a built in rain plan, etc., But then we toured Lucky Arrow. One look at the overlook and we were sold. It's gorgeous. We also knew that after years of not seeing family and friends due to the pandemic, we wanted to extend the option to stay to our guests. Everyone together, yet with privacy. It was perfect. We prioritized atmosphere and laid back vibes and Lucky Arrow 100% delivered. In speaking with Jen, the GM, we found out there are a bunch of plans in the works for the property, including additional wedding perks. So make sure to ask. Would love one of those perks to be discounts on anniversaries for those who have had their weddings there ;) As far as areas for improvements, I do think the property could use some more trash cans, particularly around the pool area. In the rooms as well. I was also very unclear on how to contact anyone if anything was needed. (To be fair, I wasn't receiving any text communication from Lucky Arrow, but I know other guests were.) It will always hold a special place in our hearts and we love that we can go back and stay anytime.

Lucky Arrow Retreat was the perfect spot for the event experience that we wanted for our wedding. Not only does it have a beautiful setting for your wedding day, it can also double as a room block, giving you the opportunity to plan an affordable wedding weekend and spend more time with your out-of-town guests. The staff was so accommodating, from helping me plan and pickup our morning breakfast tacos to getting the fire pits going on our chilly rehearsal night. It was everything we wanted and they seem to be adding/developing more things constantly. I recommend touring Lucky Arrow when you're considering your venue for weddings, retreats or even just a day event.

I work weddings here all the time and can not say enough wonderful things. This place is awesome! Such a gorgeous event space and the Texas hill country views are off the charts. The cabins, yurts and other lodging are adorably decorated. Love love love this place. The staff is so amazing and helpful,

I just recently stayed here for our company retreat and it was the perfect getaway. We accomplished a lot of work and it was nice to disconnect and change our scenery to plan our year out! I recommend staying here for a weekend getaway to reconnect, company gatherings, and if you are attending a wedding in Dripping Springs it's a perfect spot to stay! So fun!

I recently attended a wedding here, and was so impressed with this venue. From a wedding standpoint, the best part was all of our friends and family staying the in the cabins and yurts, so no one had to leave late at night. (or drive) We stayed in the Courtyard Cabin with our family (5 of us), and it was perfect. They have cute common areas between the cabins where we could all mingle before and after the wedding festivities. If I weren't married already, I would absolutely look into Lucky Arrow Retreat. The grounds are beautiful, and area for the wedding reception was perfect. Everyone had a blast!
