Lucky Devils Band

The Lucky Devils Band were amazing! Jerry was super helpful during our planning calls and the band played a perfect set that fit our taste, including everything we asked for and more. They had some spectacular singers, guitar players, drums, etc and the saxophone was a big hit. Jefferson, the front man, was so engaging (and funny at the right moments) and kept everything running smoothly. I would definitely recommend the Lucky Devils!

It greatly saddens me to write this review, as I had high expectations and had heard wonderful things about your reputation in the valley. Firstly, let me start by saying that the ceremony piano music was extremely disappointing. It was not only bad but also completely killed the vibe for such a beautiful ceremony. The music played was nowhere near the selections we had requested. We paid extra for ceremony music and I deeply regret it. I had filled out numerous music request forms, had clear communication over the phone with your team the week prior, and was assured that all our requested songs would be played either by DJ or live. Was even complemented over the phone with such a fun list of songs provided Sadly, didn’t really happen. To make matters worse, during the reception, I had to personally hand my phone to the band members during dinner to play the music I had specifically selected after spending a substantial amount of time filling out forms and money booking the bands services. I had even gone the extra mile to provide a tent and stage for the band's use, which cost me a significant amount. While the live music itself was good, the behavior of the band members towards my guests and other vendors was incredibly rude. I was being told things at the wedding and on my honeymoon about things that were being said about my guests and myself. Not professional. The lead singer even went as far as yelling "Get Out" several times into the microphone at the end of the night, without any valid reason. Guests were welcome to stay and chat, collect their belongings at the end of the night, bride and groom had a getaway car. This was highly unprofessional and utterly upsetting, especially considering it was supposed to be a perfect day for us. I’m HEARTBROKEN. Music is so important to me and it was my least favorite thing about the wedding. I loved the band live during the reception. Just wish there were more songs we requested played and I didn’t have to hand my phone over for songs we requested to be played. After voicing my concerns, the response I received was nothing more than a short two sentence apology. This left me heartbroken, as I had expected a more sincere and understanding approach from a band of your caliber. I am writing this review to express my utmost disappointment and to share my experience with future brides and grooms researching. It is my hope that you take this feedback seriously and take necessary measures to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. I believe communication, professionalism, and respect towards clients and their guests are essential elements that should be upheld by any service provider, especially on such important occasions like a wedding. I never leave reviews. Never. I sincerely hope that my review helps you reflect on the areas that needs improvement. It is my wish that other couples don't have to face the same disappointment that my partner and I experienced on our wedding day.

We had a 14 piece lucky devils band The played st the church, cocktail hour and ROCKED the reception. It was at Edgewood golf course in south lake tahoe. They were fab! George was our contact. Very responsive. Made the evening perfect!

Jerry and The Lucky Devils took our wedding night to the next level! We decided to have the 6-piece Lucky Devils band, cocktail hour, ceremony music, + MC services at our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made for our special day, aside from saying I Do’s! The dance floor was packed all night long with friends and family of all ages. They were professional, talented, and passionate about getting the party started. Jerry was available at all times during the planning process and even incorporated almost all of my requested songs (and there were a lot) into the night at some point. Multiple of our guests told us they were the best wedding band they had ever seen/heard and we totally agree. We seriously can’t stress it enough: you NEED The Lucky Devils at your next event!

Lucky Devils was outstanding from beginning to end. Great communication and easy-to-navigate website and portal, quick response time whenever we had a question, and most importantly, the music at the wedding reception was perfect! Everyone was dancing and having so much fun. Made my son/DIL wedding the most memorable and best ever!

Jerry Maxwell and his Lucky Devils band played at our daughter's wedding in Scottsdale, AZ last weekend. Let me say that the band did an absolutely fabulous job! From the 2 ceremony musicians, to the 3 cocktail hour musicians, to the full 9-piece band, the Lucky Devils have the musical talent, professionalism and overall entertainment abilities that would make any event unforgettable! The Lucky Devils Band was truly a highlight of our wedding night. We had musicians play our ceremony and cocktail hour and then a 6-piece band for the reception. Several of our guests remarked about how talented and versatile the band was! They kept our friends and family dancing all night long. Jerry was so easy to work with. Lucky Devils blew the doors off at our reception! They were so fun and played a great range of genres. The vocals were incredible. We had so many compliments from our guests about the band. Jerry and the band were absolutely amazing! They were very responsive, organized, and easy to work with. They handled all the Mc'ing as well and if there were issues, I didn't even notice! We hired Lucky Devils for our wedding last month and we could not have made a better choice! They provided music from pre-ceremony through the reception and every assemble was perfect. They also provided emcee services and they did a fantastic job. Jerry really listened to what we wanted and worked with us every step of the way leading up to the wedding. He really made it easy. He even let us cut our own music for the first dances, and they also played a sheet of music curated by my sister. Truly special. Not to mention, they are a blast to party with! Hire them!!

Lucky Devil’s Band took our wedding reception to the next level! Our guests were delighted with the 6 person band..there was never a dull moment and many said it was the most fun they had at a wedding. I love how the group performed classics, along with some trendy songs. Jerry was great at communication leading up to the wedding and took part in helping schedule the reception. Dan was the lead singer that preformed the night of our wedding and was the MC to make announcements, and help keep the night on track. Hiring the Lucky Devil’s was the best money we spent. They were not just a DJ, but a band that put on a show! They played the music for our ceremony, jazz instrumental for cocktail hour, and we added their lighting. All around a great company.

Lucky Devils was a big highlight of our wedding. Jerry worked with us to create a custom song list and actually learned a few songs with the band that we requested. We like a lot of different genres and weren’t sure if a band or DJ was the best way to go. Turns out we made the right choice with lucky devils!! This is a great group to work with if you have various music needs throughout your event. They're a one-stop-shop for all your music production needs. We used the following: classical guitarist, jazz trio, MC, mic/sound setup. All were incredible and super nice! Made our wedding absolutely perfect.

I knew my whole life I wanted a band at my wedding instead of a DJ, however my husband was extremely skeptical of hiring a band. It took all of ten seconds watching them live before he was SOLD. They are so fun and lively, Lucky Devils truly know how to have a good time. The crowd at out wedding danced the night away! They were extremely accommodating of our tastes, and truly went above and beyond. If you are even considering hiring them, please do so IMMEDIATELY. Also spring for the horns, it is SO worth it.

Wedding highlight for sure! The Lucky Devils were amazing. They were so organized and easy to book and helped us with every step of the decision process. Their whole set up is extremely customizable to the size of the wedding, venue, and budget. We booked them for ceremony music, happy hour, and the reception. They helped with lighting and microphones for the reception, too! Most importantly they brought the FUN and absolutely none of the stress--I would rate them as our best vendor for communication and organization!

Lucky Devils Band (Phoenix) was absolutely incredible! The band brought the energy, had incredibly talented musicians and vocalists, and were incredible to partner with leading up to the big day. We worked with Jerry on all the partnership planning- he is incredibly organized, easy to work with and his systems/tools make it very easy to submit music preferences, timelines, requests, etc. What I loved most about Lucky Devils was that during their performance they really fed off the crowd. Jerry had mentioned that they'd be able to pick up on the types of songs people were dancing to and pivot their playlist accordingly. They definitely did not disappoint - the dance floor was bumping the entire night and the night ended with guests applauding and cheering for this incredible group of musicians and vocalists.

LDB put on a great performance and had the whole party dancing all night long!! They were very easy to work with and allowed for us to tailor the sound as much or as little as we wanted. With a lot of other planning going on, we pretty much just gave them the types of music and a few example songs we liked and they made the sets and played to the crowd from there!! It was a great night, would highly recommend booking, we had a 6-piece group including a lead male and female vocalist. Amazing!! Our guests are still talking about how fun it was!

Do not hesitate for one second to book Lucky Devils! They absolutely made our wedding day! They made everything so easy from beginning to end. Can't say enough good things about this band. We chose them because they stood out as professional, contemporary, and extremely talented. Every other band we looked at looked like they should have stuck to playing at barmitzvah's, but LDB crushed it. Amazing job!

The Lucky Devils Band was incredible to work with from the quoting process, to planning the setlist, and ultimately the wedding reception itself. They are extremely responsive and professional to communicate with. My spouse and I have specific music tastes and they were open to customizing the music played to make it feel special to us. They even learned a couple songs for our special night! Three months after the wedding, our friends and family are still complimenting the band and how great the sound was! We can't recommend hiring this group any more.

We loved having Lucky Devils Band play for our daughters' wedding reception. Before covid hit we planned on having a big live band, Lucky Devlis. When everything became less for our big day, they sent out one member to play all of our songs. The Lucky Devils played at our wedding on 11/9/2019. We cannot recommend this band enough!!! They were extremely professional and put us at ease throughout the whole process. Lucky Devil Band was the absolute best. They kept the party rocking the entire time. In terms of playlist we just left it to the professionals and they picked a playlist that had guests on the dance floor the entire night. The people who were not dancing were still standing around just watching in awe of the great musicians at work. They also did a great job of MC’ing and keeping a good flow for the night of the wedding. I would highly recommend them for any event you may have.

The lucky devils band was fabulous!! Jerry was amazing to work with the whole way through. He was extremely helpful and professional throughout the whole planning process. He responded to my emails very quickly which I always appreciate. The band itself was just wonderful! They killed it at my reception and the male lead singer was INSANE! So extremely talented!! They kept a fun upbeat vibe the whole time, there were only two songs I felt like I didn’t know. They let my uncle come up on stage and sing a song with them spur of the moment which was SO nice and it made for such a memorable moment!! Thank you so much for making my wedding reception incredible, I would highly recommend them to any bride and groom.

From the show they host locally to hear their music before the big day, to the care and help they give while planning to the amazing MC the day of our wedding--the band delivered above and beyond what we could hope for! Jerry (manager and guitar player) is very responsive via email through the process. They want to get to know you to make sure they play what you want to hear and what your guests want to hear. We got compliments all night about how great the band was! They even played our first dance song and f/d, m/s dances as well. This band was worth every penny! The Lucky Devils Band were exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Planning from a far I was a little skeptical booking a group I have never heard, but I am so so glad we did. Worked with Jerry to organize everything and he was always available and helpful when making decisions about songs, timeline, etc. The band did a great job making sure everything flowed well and no lag time between songs. They picked songs in line with what we wanted and kept people on the dance floor the whole night. I am so so happy with our decision to go with the band and everyone loved them.

We used Lucky Devils Band for our corporate event and could not have been more pleased. They were on time, courteous, and sounded great. They were able to deal with requests on the fly and never had a hiccup. Would recommend them without hesitation.

As most brides do, I spent hours and hours in the weeks before my wedding compiling the list of songs we wanted to hear for the pre-reception cocktail party, dinner, and dancing. I sent the list to the band (specifically, Kevin) several weeks before the wedding to allow the band adequate time to prepare and plan. My husband and I spoke to Kevin a few nights before the wedding to review the document and finalize details. We made known specific wishes, like how we wanted our first song performed by the band and not DJ played, and DJ-playing a song on the list that we wanted everyone on the dance floor for. At the wedding, I did not hear any song on the list I compiled. My husband had to keep running up to the band during the reception and telling them to play certain songs that we had on our list. I was distracted as a result and really annoyed. The one song we wanted everyone on the dance floor for was not played. Our first dance song was DJ-played. Compounding the situation was the complete failure of the band's MC to run the event in a timely manner. Due to the band, we ran 30 minutes behind schedule, which resulted in the band hardly performing at all. In sum, they expected us to make our wishes known, which we did in detail, and then completely disregarded our wishes. And, they were unable to execute a detailed time schedule for the evening at a venue they had played at multiple times. After the wedding, I complained in an email to Kevin. He took forever to respond, and then when he did, denied everything, did not apologize, and when I asked for small compensation, stopped responding all together. He has not afforded me the courtesy of returning a phone call after saying he would be happy to speak with me regarding our dissatisfaction. We felt that to this band, our wedding was just another night. They have zero incentive to make amends with dissatisfied customers because you pay for everything in advance, and will never have to hire them again. In sum, I would recommend people getting a DJ to do your event. You will save a lot of money, time and worry as a result.

Really exceptional band! Only reason this is 4 and not 5 stars is because we had some communication issues leading up to the wedding. This was eventually resolved and all was wonderful following. Thank you!

The Lucky Devils are absolutely incredible and made our wedding a blast! They are an extremely talented band who were able to get the dancing started early and last the entire night. Throughout the entire process Jerry was professional and easy to work with. They even catered to our request of having our first dance song to play live which sounded perfect! We had Heather MC for the reception and she was beyond amazing, making the night run smoothly and everything felt so personal. It was such a memorable end to an already wonderful night. If you're looking for a super fun, energetic, party-starting band, book the Lucky Devils! I cannot praise them enough and am so grateful for their talent and hard work.

What an incredibly talented and personal group. Jerry lead the planning for our wedding and thoughtfully listened to our requests (we had a lot) to customize an entire playlist. Dan Lovelock was the lead singer and he is exceptionally talented and serves as a great host for the entire list of festivities. We were blown away at the effort they put into performing songs for (2 first dances) as well as the range they showed in performing songs from an extremely long and diverse playlist they weren’t necessarily familiar with beforehand. Please don’t select a ‘generic’ band for your wedding. Lucky Devils will tailor this event to your wishes and then exceed your expectations. Our entire family and friends are still raving about them. They made it unforgettable. Most importantly, they were great people. Not in a rush to leave or move onto the next stop. They took their time to make sure everything we wanted played was excellent and came through on time. You’d be very wrong to choose anyone else to book your wedding. They also play live once a month in downtown PHx. Go check them out for free. It’s worth it.

Excellent service. The preparation/communication line leading up to the big day is great. This is facilitated by an online account where you will list your desired playlist, payment information, schedule of events etc. Everything LD’s can’t perform from the playlist you submit will be pre-recorded on an MP3 player and played during the breaks - SUPER GOOD SERVICE. The flexibility the LD’s provide on their performance schedule is also a big plus. Jefferson is great to deal with. He is professional, caring, patient, explains well and responds to phone and email messages within a reasonable amount of time.

The Lucky Devils were absolutely OUTSTANDING! They did a great job of capturing all the music we like, but also giving guests great stuff to dance to. Seriously our guests did not stop dancing the entire night, and that was due to their amazing performance and song choice. We were so happy that they were able to play so many of our favorites, and they even invited our cousin to play bass with them for a song which was a major highlight. There were a couple things we forgot to mention on our planning page, but our emcee did a great job of making sure everything we wanted happened throughout the night-- including an impromptu nod to John Williams with a Jurassic Park interlude. Your band or DJ is such an important part of the night, and the Lucky Devils were perfection from planning to execution.

We hired the Lucky Devils to play during our cocktail hour and wedding reception. They have a pretty extensive questionnaire to fill out in advance, which was good. We also had several phone calls with them prior to the event. My fiancee was hoping for a Sinatra vibe with lots of actual Sinatra and related music. I also had requested several current pop songs, some of which were listed on their website as featured songs. They didn't play a lot of Sinatra nor did they play much current pop or dance music. The musicians themselves were very good and I much preferred having the band to a DJ. Overall, a great band but just didn't play much that we wanted to hear or that people wanted to dance to.

It's pretty obvious from the hundreds of 5 star reviews that these guys are no joke, but I'll still add to the mix! We had the pleasure of having the Lucky Devils as our wedding band this past weekend and it was probably the best decision I have ever made. We knew these guys were going to be good - we hired them before we even went to a preview to actually listen to them! - but we still weren't prepared for just how incredible they actually were on our wedding day. I don't think I left the dance floor even just for a second while they were playing. I may even have neglected greeting my guests because I just couldn't stop dancing. People came up to me all night shocked asking me where the hell I found them and how were they THIS good?! I was also blown away by the level of professionalism they provided from the get-go. Brian was wonderful to work with, seasoned and really knew his stuff. On the day of the band showed up early, got set up and ready without me even having to lift a finger (I had no wedding planner, so this was quite refreshing!) Even down to cueing the music at the right times and transitioning songs, it was flawless. Thank you Lucky Devils for making my music dreams come true!!!
