What an incredibly talented and personal group. Jerry lead the planning for our wedding and thoughtfully listened to our requests (we had a lot) to customize an entire playlist.
Dan Lovelock was the lead singer and he is exceptionally talented and serves as a great host for the entire list of festivities.
We were blown away at the effort they put into performing songs for (2 first dances) as well as the range they showed in performing songs from an extremely long and diverse playlist they weren’t necessarily familiar with beforehand.
Please don’t select a ‘generic’ band for your wedding. Lucky Devils will tailor this event to your wishes and then exceed your expectations. Our entire family and friends are still raving about them. They made it unforgettable.
Most importantly, they were great people. Not in a rush to leave or move onto the next stop. They took their time to make sure everything we wanted played was excellent and came through on time.
You’d be very wrong to choose anyone else to book your wedding. They also play live once a month in downtown PHx. Go check them out for free. It’s worth it.
Excellent service. The preparation/communication line leading up to the big day is great. This is facilitated by an online account where you will list your desired playlist, payment information, schedule of events etc.
Everything LD’s can’t perform from the playlist you submit will be pre-recorded on an MP3 player and played during the breaks - SUPER GOOD SERVICE.
The flexibility the LD’s provide on their performance schedule is also a big plus.
Jefferson is great to deal with. He is professional, caring, patient, explains well and responds to phone and email messages within a reasonable amount of time.
The Lucky Devils were absolutely OUTSTANDING! They did a great job of capturing all the music we like, but also giving guests great stuff to dance to. Seriously our guests did not stop dancing the entire night, and that was due to their amazing performance and song choice. We were so happy that they were able to play so many of our favorites, and they even invited our cousin to play bass with them for a song which was a major highlight. There were a couple things we forgot to mention on our planning page, but our emcee did a great job of making sure everything we wanted happened throughout the night-- including an impromptu nod to John Williams with a Jurassic Park interlude. Your band or DJ is such an important part of the night, and the Lucky Devils were perfection from planning to execution.

BOOK. THIS. BAND. I cannot recommend them highly enough! I myself almost couldn't believe the incredible reviews they have, but right from the start I knew they were the real deal. From the first email to the last dance, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Jefferson. He made the entire booking and planning process a breeze with his responsiveness and attention to detail. The music was one of the most important aspects of our big day, and we knew we were in good hands the moment we spoke with Jefferson. The band managed the music throughout the entire event, and we couldn't have been happier with everything. From pre-ceremony acoustic guitar, to relaxed cocktail music, to a customized playlist during dinner and lastly the full band sets, it was absolutely PERFECT. I'm not lying when I say this is the best wedding band I've ever seen, and I heard the same thing from our guests all night long! Almost a month later, and our guests are STILL raving about the band. I've had multiple people reach out to me asking how to book them. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. If you are reading this review, you have found the best wedding band out there!! Our sincerest gratitude goes out to Jefferson and the Lucky Devils for making our wedding night so magical.

We hired the Lucky Devils to play during our cocktail hour and wedding reception. They have a pretty extensive questionnaire to fill out in advance, which was good. We also had several phone calls with them prior to the event. My fiancee was hoping for a Sinatra vibe with lots of actual Sinatra and related music. I also had requested several current pop songs, some of which were listed on their website as featured songs. They didn't play a lot of Sinatra nor did they play much current pop or dance music. The musicians themselves were very good and I much preferred having the band to a DJ. Overall, a great band but just didn't play much that we wanted to hear or that people wanted to dance to.

It's pretty obvious from the hundreds of 5 star reviews that these guys are no joke, but I'll still add to the mix! We had the pleasure of having the Lucky Devils as our wedding band this past weekend and it was probably the best decision I have ever made. We knew these guys were going to be good - we hired them before we even went to a preview to actually listen to them! - but we still weren't prepared for just how incredible they actually were on our wedding day. I don't think I left the dance floor even just for a second while they were playing. I may even have neglected greeting my guests because I just couldn't stop dancing. People came up to me all night shocked asking me where the hell I found them and how were they THIS good?! I was also blown away by the level of professionalism they provided from the get-go. Brian was wonderful to work with, seasoned and really knew his stuff. On the day of the band showed up early, got set up and ready without me even having to lift a finger (I had no wedding planner, so this was quite refreshing!) Even down to cueing the music at the right times and transitioning songs, it was flawless. Thank you Lucky Devils for making my music dreams come true!!!

I am the master planner with Laura’s Events & Weddings Unleashed LLC. I worked with LDB recently at a destination wedding and I was thoroughly impressed! From the initial communication to the very end! The LDB team is very organized, experienced, easy to speak to, and most importantly sound AMAZING! I would have Lucky Devils Band at every event if I could. I highly recommend them, you won’t be let down!
We loved the Lucky Devils! From the very start of the planning process, you could tell how professional and experienced they were (Gabriela was very attentive and easy to plan with). The BEST part - they have so many different talented musicians that you can get your ceremony music (we did a string trio), cocktail hour music (we did a guitarist), dinner music (we did a mixture of guitar and DJ), MC, and then dancing music (we did the 6-piece live band) ALL from The Lucky Devils. It's basically one-stop shopping for the music for your entire evening and you can count on each musician to be extremely talented. They even learned new songs for us based on what we wanted played (ex. we wanted unique songs for our mother/son and father/daughter dance) and the band learned those songs for us for our night - they are so flexible and accommodating! Our dancing took place in a wine cave and the band knew exactly how to handle the acoustics. We also got our ceremony microphones through them, our MC, and uplighting for dancing. I was shocked by how affordable they were, especially compared to other bands in the area. Our dance floor was packed the whole time and we couldn't be happier with how the music turned out for the entire evening - look no further and book them!

Look no further for a wedding band, because Lucky Devils is THE absolute best!! From pre-wedding planning (Kevin is amazing and great about getting on calls/learning your vision to plan the best reception possible) to performing night of, we couldn't have asked for a more professional and talented group to perform at our wedding. Everyone was dancing all night, and they even let me get on the stage and perform ad hoc after a couple drinks (shoutout to Whitney for making that happen!) Seriously, book them now, especially if you're in southern California- you won't regret it!
Lucky Devils Band is amazing! They learned the songs that we wanted for our special dances and kept the dance floor full all night! They even took requests from some of our younger guests and performed them so that everyone was still dancing and having a great time. The energy was amazing! Thanks Lucky Devils Band!!
The Lucky Devils were absolutely fantastic and I would recommend them without hesitation - they really pulled the whole wedding together and made dancing into the night with our friends and family such an event! We've had many compliments about their energy, the quality of their playing, and the life they brought to the evening from our guests both on the night and since. We booked them as an 8-piece and I can definitely say that it was worth going for two singers - one male, one female. The two of them had enormous range and wonderful chemistry which very much resonated with the crowd.
The preliminary process was also very easy, particularly facilitated by Jefferson and the band's professionalism. We filled out their website with details as we got further along in the planning with a long list of the sort of songs we would like to hear, but asked the band to use their judgment. They did an excellent job and really kept the flow of the evening well. They also played beautiful renditions of the songs we selected for first dance and father/daughter dance. Jefferson was a consummate professional as the MC, keeping things flowing well between speeches while allowing space for the other speakers to shine, including some private reassuring words that were very much appreciated!
Jefferson and the Lucky Devils Band were sensational! From the months prior to our daughter's wedding to the wedding day itself - all was 100% great. They brought their A-game - guests commented on the great sound, great play list, and everyone was up and dancing. Jefferson got the crowd on their feet! He's a gem: personable, professional, talented and brought a fantastic 10-piece band with him. I'd recommend them highly!

The Lucky Devils brought down the house at our Las Vegas wedding! We knew we wanted live music for our wedding but were struggling to find a great band in our price range. After contacting Aaron from Lucky Devils and seeing them at a sample performance we knew they were our band! We were able to secure a 10-piece band (with a horn section!) and are so happy we did. And I have to say, Dan, Dayna, and Amanda rocked it all night long! Dayna was an amazing MC, too. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the Lucky Devils were and the dance floor literally did not stop until the end. Thank you Lucky Devils for making our wedding dreams come true!
Lucky Devils was the highlight of our wedding day (well, besides the actual part where I married my husband, haha). They were super flexible, sounded INCREDIBLE and were a dream to work with. Super organized and professional, but still made it feel like a very personal experience. I absolutely recommend Lucky Devils Band.
Gabriela is excellent to work with to coordinate the musicians. She is patient, flexible and organized. Pricing is very reasonable. The spectrum of music genres and musicians available is the broadest I found. Vocalist had a great voice the band had everybody dancing. The Groom commented that he had never seen his mother dance so much!
Lucky Devils was amazing! They played jam after jam and had the entire wedding off their seats and dancing the entire night. Every single one of our guests raved about the band, and said it was the best wedding band they had ever heard. If you want your guests to have the best time ever at your wedding, then hire this band.
I will say that communication with them up until the event was not superb. These people are artists, and they put on a great performance, but there were some delays in communication that made me as the bride a little anxious. That said, it was nothing major and their performance well compensated for any communication delays!
These guys absolutely killed it at our wedding, even better than expected. They're quite reasonable and there's nothing like a live band for getting people up and dancing. We had a seven piece band with sax and trumpet and it was truly a perfect evening. They even let me jump up and sing with them. Highly recommend them!
THEY WERE INCREDIBLE!!! WE CAN'T RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH! I was a little hesitant after booking them since you never know who you are "actually" going to get on the day of but they KILLED IT. Leading up to our wedding day they were so organized, flexible, responsive and easy to work with. Everything was perfect, they nailed all the first dance songs and were phenomenal performers. Everyone LOVED them. So many guests came up to tell us how great the band was. Not only in the quality of their sound, enthusiasm, and skill but also their aesthetic prowess. The mullet was literal fire (I would be letting down all our friends by not giving it the appreciation and respect it deserves). Our guests were busting moves all night long. I think out of all our vendors Lucky Devils Band exceeded my expectations the most. We really hope they perform at another wedding we attend so we can rock out with Lucky Devils Band some more!!!
Book the Lucky Devils for your wedding!! This band was so much fun. Early on, we decided to do a band rather than a DJ for our wedding music. Great decision. Then we found the Lucky Devils online – even better decision. They were so easy to work with, kind, and made our wedding reception over-the-top fabulous. I feel like often with a wedding DJ, the dance floor just kind of “dies” at a point in the night. With the Lucky Devils, the dance floor was packed the entire night and it was so much fun. We could not be happier with our decision to book them for our wedding.
Lucky Devils Band put on a fantastic show for our pre-wedding extravaganza on Saturday night for our family and friends. They played a great line up of songs, they were super friendly with everyone and had great energy. We originally were going for a 5 piece, then it turned into 6 and after we went and did a final preview at the Tin Roof downtown San Diego we had to add the Sax man and make it 7. Best decision and worth the money! Our friends and family were so impressed and had so much fun dancing and talking with the band at the end of the night. I was so lucky to be one of the bridesmaids at my friend's Four Seasons wedding 06/22 and this band is probably the best band I've heard my entire life! I have been to 18 weddings and 15 of those weddings had a band and I must tell you, not even one of those bands came close to this band!!!! The dance floor was so packed it was soooooo amazing seeing everyone just having such a great time. I'm so impressed, I want to buy their album!!!!!
We used the Lucky Devils Band for a fundraising event and they were awesome! Mike was great and made arranging the night easy. The band showed up with plenty of time to set up, they were very organized, and ready to play when it was curtain time. Incredible musicians and beautiful voices! The music choices were perfect and had guests dancing during salad service! We are definitely using them again next year. Lucky Devils Band will make your event one to remember.
If you don't book this band, you're missing out. We took a chance on them without hearing them live and based on reviews, and OMG did we make the right choice. All the steps leading up to our wedding were easy and smooth. We were given a personal web page so I could easily update and make changes all through the process. We had a live phone call the week prior to our wedding with Mike, and we just seemed to gel with him and we knew we were in good hands. From the moment they stepped on stage and until the last song, they just rocked out and had everyone on the dance floor. We were so blown away by everyone's talent and every one of our guests said that it was the best wedding they had every been to because of the band. Their pricing was also super reasonable, and they were worth every single penny!
Wow. Just wow. Lucky Devils Band couldn't have been a better pick for a wedding band. They are an incredibly talented band who has amazing depth in their musical repertoire. If you're looking for sweet acustic music for the ceremony, jazz trio for the cocktail hour, or a band to make everyone, including grandma, jump out of their seats and cut a rug contact them STAT!
Communication was easy, thorough, seamless and pleasant. Their energy, talent and professionalism is top notch. Don't let the classic attire fool you, Lucky Devils can play the best of the Rat Pack, get funky with Prince, fist pump with top 40 or dust off their boots with some country. My guests were so impressed, I am still getting compliments and rave reviews about them.

We are wedding planners here in Las Vegas and our client hired The Lucky Devils Band prior to hiring us. We had never worked with them before. Aaron was so easy to work with! He answered e-mails quickly and with experience-based suggestions. He made our jobs easy by being so easy-going and relaxed on the wedding day! Our reception timeline was shot due to an incredibly long ceremony. He and the band worked closely with us to keep everything running smoothly. They are incredibly professional, yet insanely fun. We will recommend them to any client of ours considering live music for their wedding.
The Lucky Devils Band is the best choice you can make for your wedding! They played at our wedding on 7/7/18 with a six-piece band and they were the center piece of an amazing night. From the very beginning, Brian and the whole team made it very easy to plan the night and coordinate everything we needed done. We ended up having them also MC our entire night and that made it even easier.
The best part of the Lucky Devils Band is that they need very little direction from you, just your likes and your dislikes, and they take it from there. The music selection was on point and their talent and energy was through the roof. It may have been cliché, but their ability to get our whole crowd on the dance floor singing and dancing to Shout was straight out of a scene of Wedding Crashers.
One tip, GET THE SIX PERSON BAND, Brian on the saxophone was amazing.
This band will make your wedding band dreams come true. I can't say enough about how talented they are and just how EASY they were to work with. The Lucky Devils had our guests dancing all night long because not only do they sound amazing but their energy is infectious. We are so beyond happy that our wedding coordinator recommended Lucky Devils Band. The music and atmosphere of the wedding was one of our top priorities when wedding planning. We spoke with a couple of bands and even saw one live at another wedding. Finally, we were recommended Lucky Devils and we checked out their showcase in San Francisco and were so impressed that we booked them the next day!
We ended up selecting a 6 piece band, 2 string musicians for the ceremony, and MC services. Leading up to the wedding, Jefferson was very helpful and even spoke to me twice on the phone ahead of time to make sure the schedule and logistics were all sorted out.
The day of the wedding was even more amazing than we could have imagined and we owe so much of that to Lucky Devils. Tamika, the lead singer, was excellent. The band made sure there was a fun loving atmosphere the whole night. And not to mention, I think it was the best rendition of the Horah I've ever seen.
We received so many compliments from our guests after the wedding and everyone specifically mentioned how much they enjoyed the band. Would 100% recommend Lucky Devils to anyone planning a wedding in the Bay Area.
We are SO pleased we chose The Lucky Devils Band to play for our wedding. All of the songs they played perfectly matched our style and music preferences. Also, the lead singer acted as the MC, and she went above and beyond to keep all items happening on time. She also read the crowd well and got all of our guests on the dance floor. All of our guests were raving about the band and continue to talk about how great they were. We had SO much fun dancing the night away and know it would not have been possible without The Lucky Devils. If you are considering using them for your big day, I highly recommend it!!
This band was extremely affordable and did a fantastic job! They were easy to work with and very professional. The band rocked my wedding and had me dancing all night long. They also provided the sound equipment for our ceremony. It was clear they've been around the block a few times and they were very organized.
I had to really stay on top of the band to make sure they were learning our special dance songs (which they advertise that they do) and then day of wedding they were 2 hours late- causing an hour delay to our wedding and changing the ceremony songs. Then during the night the MC was mediocre at best and the transitions from their play time to their break time when they plugged in the iPod weren’t smooth (crackling over the speakers until the groom told them to put the iPod on). Apparently they were having technical difficulties? There were other issues throughout the night. Whatever the deal, the entire wedding day was stressful with them. When they played music, it generally sounded good.
This band was amazing! Mike, the manager, was so helpful in the planning stages, they have a great site to order out the events and song requests, and then the delivery was fantastic! They were so good, we were dancing all night! The band was the highlight! I was thrilled with how good they sounded: horns, singing, and we had classical guitar for the ceremony! Thanks so much, you guys rock! :) This was my husband's one request for the wedding- to have a live band- and he was so happy! Our family keeps talking about it!
Just had these guys play at my daughters wedding in Coronado. They surpassed every expectation I could have possibly had! They nailed the music, kept the party hoppin' and had our guests dancing til the end! I got rave reviews from ALL of our guests.
The trio at cocktail hour was also amazing. Had them on the pier and they really set the tone for the evening.

We hired a 5 piece band from Lucky Devils for our wedding. They were phenomenal. The band was easy to work with, made sure every detail was seamless (for example, when we ran out of music during the ceremony, they looped it perfectly) and got the dance floor going for the reception. They took extra care when listening to our musical tastes and they played a perfect mix of the wedding classics, with newer music and all the songs we had requested. They also did our ceremony sound and everything went so smoothly. I was so happy to have professionals behind the sound for that part! Jefferson did a great job and checking in with us every step of the way and was always quick to respond and answer questions. They really want your event to be perfect and will go out of their way to make sure it is so.
If you hire the Lucky Devils, make sure to confirm the playtime with the full band. They charged me over $6,000 for a band that played together for less than 2 hours. Charged me for a lapel microphone that wasn’t used like they said it would be throughout the event and almost charged me extra for cocktail music that was not even noticed by guests and lasted less than an hour. On top of it all, I bought them 4 nice hotel rooms for the night because it was a destination wedding. My biggest regret is not working to find a consultant that reached out to me directly and cared about making sure the band was setting the atmosphere for the entire night. Make sure your consultant has time for you before you give them your business.

Of all the vendors we worked with throughout the planning process, The Lucky Devils Band – and specifically Jerry, who w coordinated with – were the best: professional, accommodating, reasonably priced, and of the highest quality. Our guests are still talking about "the band" from our wedding! As a longtime musician, I was worried about getting quality music at our wedding. We read some reviews about The Lucky Devils Band, saw them play a showcase at a local venue, and immediately called the next morning to book them. The musicians in the band are all super talented, they have a huge and diverse lineup so can cater to your specific musical preferences (and wedding size), and the MC they provided did a wonderful job throughout the reception. The Lucky Devils were an incredible addition to our wedding and helped keep the dance floor full all night long. Great communication leading up to the wedding, and were surprisingly affordable given how talented and professional they were! They also were very flexible and allowed us to mix and match the band makeup to achieve the price point and musician mix that we desired.

My wife and I are still hearing compliments a year later, they really helped make it the best night ever! Brian was even cool enough to let us sit in and play with the band for a couple blues songs, since we’re a musically talented couple. It's been one month since the LDB performed and DJ'ed our wedding and we still hear the best compliments from all our guests about how amazing they were. Mike, one of the drummers and managers of the band, was one of the most professional and friendliest vendors we worked with throughout the entire wedding process. Since our meeting at the showcase, he worked so hard to make sure that the music and DJing for our reception was exactly to our liking. He was very easy to communicate with and super flexible. We got an 8 piece band (guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboards, saxophonist, 3 singers) for a very affordable price that fit our budget with no problem, and our guests are still talking about how it was one of the best musical performances they've ever seen in a wedding. Even the manager of our reception venue mentioned that in his 15+ years of managing the venue, the LDB were by far the classiest musicians to ever get on his stage. Lindsay, one of our singers, was the MC and brought a special charm with her that made our day unforgettable. The other two singers, L Young (who is a popular youtube singer if you want to see how ridiculously talented he is) and Cameron sang our favorite hits just as good, if not better, than the originals. All the musicians were clear masters of their trade and they sounded so amazing together.
On top of it all, we had an Arabic wedding and we wanted to make sure we had a good amount of Arabic music throughout the reception. I was pretty skeptical on how Mike was going to pull this off. All he asked for was a list of our favorite Arabic songs and that he would take care of the rest... and let me say, he and Jesse (guitarist and sound-manager) DJ'd those parts of the wedding just as good as any other Arabic DJ we would've hired. I must say I was very shocked at how great they were!
Overall, there isn't a musical scene that these professionals can't rock out. A special Thank you to Mike for working with all our crazy particularities and making our special day unforgettable. I could never imagine going with another musical vendor for our wedding day than the LDB!

Mike is a breeze to work with. He is SO on top of organization and making the entire situation flow smoothly. He is open to literally any music suggestions and encourages you to go with your gut feelings on music. Their performance was exceptional!! Great energy, sounded amazing. I cannot say better things. This band is amazing! Our guests did not sit for a minute! Our vocalist and the whole band deserve all hats off. We were really busy heading up to the wedding day, and were not able to make any song list or suggestions. They asked a few simple questions and just amazed us! We researched and contacted SEVERAL musicians while planning our destination wedding. It was a difficult and time consuming process, but when we finally found the Lucky Devils Band, we have not had any regrets. Mike has been professional, quickly responsive, and so very helpful. About a week before the wedding, our groomsmen and I decided to do a choreographed dance for my husband to show our appreciation for him during the reception, and Mike from the Lucky Devils Band got on board right away are immediately created the perfectly timed sound clip based on a youtube video I sent him. He was so helpful and wonderful. The music during our reception was not hand-selected by my husband or me. We decided to just provide categories and a couple of specific songs. But the songs they played, every single song, was just so much fun and perfect for our group of guests. Guests were dancing the entire time! I highly recommend Lucky Devils Band. My one must for my wedding was a live band. When I started my research and pricing out wedding bands I quickly had my hopes crushed because they were all so expensive and didn't fit in my budget. Then I found Lucky Devils Band (LDB)! One of the many great things about LDB is that they have free showcases where you can go and watch them perform live so you know exactly what to expect when you book them. Working with Mike was wonderful. He was my point of contact for the band and guided me through the whole process.

We retained The Lucky Devils Band for my daughter’s wedding on 4/14/18 in Tubac, Arizona. We started off with a jazz quartet for the cocktail hour then moved to a 9-piece band with 2 vocalists for the reception. To say they were amazing is a severe understatement! Steff and Austin were incredible, keeping the flow of the evening going! Throughout the entire reception, most of the tables were empty, and the dance floor was full! If there were people sitting at a table, it was for a short time only in an effort to catch their breath. Both families have been receiving texts and phone calls, raving about the band in particular. If you are planning a wedding in the Tucson area, I strongly encourage you to give Lucky Devils Band a call! They were fantastic to work with right from the get go! I’m trying to come up with a reason to have another party just to hire them again!!
This group is amazing! I found them through my sister-in-law as they performed at her wedding as well. The group of musicians are incredibly talented and really made our wedding extra special. We had them perform our special dance songs live, which was absolutely incredible. All of our guests have told us how much they loved the band! Plus, the price is very reasonable. I would HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!

Music won't necessarily break a wedding, but an amazing band can certainly MAKE a wedding. The Lucky Devils Band certainly helped make our wedding. [Pre-wedding] Our main point of contact was Michael, who was always super responsive and easy to work with. He has a system to capture every little detail of the wedding day. Our super experienced/organized planner said she was surprised by how organized Michael is, because most bands are not. [Wedding] The guests loved the band! A good band can really set the tone of a wedding and boost the energy. If you have songs you want to hear in their original recordings, don't worry - you can give them a Spotify playlist to play during their breaks. (Good idea for EDM.) [Recommendation] The Lucky Devils Band was worth every penny, and we're pretty sure their packages are some of the best values in LA based on all our research. Would definitely recommend setting up a call with them/Michael.
We had an acoustic, outdoor wedding June 2017. They were very professional from start to finish. We enjoyed working with Michael who coordinated with us. Their price is very reasonable and provided good value. I would recommend them.
Excellent band. Very flexible too. We decided to add a trumpet and some music for the ceremony 2-3 weeks prior and everything went great! The MC was great too! Highly recommend!
We had the Lucky Devils play our wedding in September 2017 in Guerneville and couldn't be happier with how everything went. They were extremely detail-oriented and did a great job in setting expectations, requesting important information and having it feel like a partnership. Jefferson was incredibly responsive when communicating in the months and weeks leading up to the event, making sure there were no unanswered questions.
Once it came time for the big day, the band CRUSHED it. We went with guitar during the ceremony, sax + piano for cocktail hour, and 7-piece band for the reception. I have played in a number of bands and am notoriously picky when it comes to evaluating chops/showmanship/canon for wedding bands, and these guys absolutely fulfilled all my hopes. People were dancing the whole time and in the days/weeks following the wedding we got countless compliments on the Lucky Devils. They were also very gracious about letting me join them for a song or 2, which I very much appreciated :)
We couldn't imagine having had a different band play our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone in the market!
What else can I say about LDB that others haven’t? If you’re debating going with a DJ vs. LDB, don’t even think twice… go with the band!!! You won’t regret it! After my (now) husband and I went to a live showing before we actually booked the band, we were sold! We met Coso, who is one the lead Bass players and a Band coordinator for LDB (he was also playing in the show we went and saw). Coso is amazing and he did go over all the fundamentals for booking with us, inc the fact that there is no guarantee with an exact band set for the day/night of your event, however trained band members that belong to LDB will show up. Trust me, all of them are GOOD! We love music and we were a little skeptical about not have certain music played or having renditions played, however our guests still can’t stop raving about the band. What we wanted was the room to be filled with energy and our guests to be having an awesome time, and on our wedding night our guests couldn’t sit down! The band really knows how to keep the crowd going and your guests will love it!
The Lucky Devils band in San Diego is fantastic! They played at our daughter’s wedding at Scripps Forum this past January. They provided a duo for the pre ceremony and ceremony, a trio for cocktail time and we opted for a seven piece band for the dancing after. From the very beginning of the planning process no detail was spared to ensure the wedding music was perfect. They have an entire check list to fill out and Kevin the manager walks through it all with you from music choices, recommendations and timing. A week before the wedding we had a long phone conversation going over the details again to make sure all was confirmed. They set up the mikes for us to use for the vows and wedding toasts and provide a master of ceremony if you need one. They even let my son borrow an acoustic guitar as he was playing the bride and grooms first dance song. The energy the band brought to the dance floor was so incredible. The lead singer had everyone involved and the mucisians were top notch. Everyone was dancing and that is was makes the night over the top special. We booked them 10 months out as they fill up quickly. The Lucky Devils were a fabulous choice as they really helped make our wedding a joyous celebration.

Overall, this band was absolutely amazing! My husband and I had our wedding reception aboard The Queen Mary Ship in Long Beach and the live band was the PERFECT touch. Loved having this band at our wedding. Our wedding band needed to be able to cover genres ranging from country to today's hits to oldies to merengue. This band could do it all! They even learned a new song just to be able to play our request during our cake cutting. Lucky Devils Band also played beautiful piano music during the ceremony and lively acoustic guitar during the cocktail hour. If you want live music for your wedding I highly recommend this band.
Omg. Omg. Omg. Months later (sorry for the late review, guys) and we STILL have people telling us how much fun the band was at our wedding. Jefferson was our emcee and he did a fantastic job building the energy and keeping people engaged. We did the 7 piece band and they absolutely nailed it. I gave them a list of songs we would like and it felt like they did every song on the list (even though they only realistically had time for a quarter of it). Because we were running late, they didn’t even take as many breaks as they were supposed to. They gave us so much playing time. And their energy was on fire! There was never a moment when the dance floor was dead. NEVER.I pretty much was on the dance floor the entire night and did not mingle with my guests after I started dancing. Unless they were dancing with me. You will not regret working with the Lucky Devils.
If you are fortunate enough to work with Jefferson, he was an absolute dream to work with. Weeks before the wedding he would call me, ask me how planning was going, and listen to me vent about all the things that were stressing me out. He asked me how he could help and what he could do and ensured me it was going to be an amazing day. I am so grateful for Jefferson and the Lucky Devil. They were worth ever. Single. Penny. Initially after booking the band we were told to fill out a band page that was essentially what we wanted for music / didn't want for music.
Music is very important to us and we asked for 80s New Wave and 50s, 60s, 70s Motown & Rock n Roll. What we got was Gnarls Barkley "Crazy." Which couldn't be further from what we wanted.
Not only did multiple bridesmaids go up and ask them to please play something we wanted to hear, I then myself had to go up and ask. I asked the lead singer Aaron if he had read the band page they made us fill out and he said we wrote that we wanted 60s/70s FUNK. It seemed as though no one had actually read the page or took into consideration what we wanted played during the reception.
When emailing a follow up to our point person Shea, he blamed everything on the lead singer Aaron saying he didn't know what songs Aaron chose for the set list.
Before booking them I would make sure you are able to have a long conversation with your point person about what they will be playing and ensuring they play what you want.
They did however learn our song and learn a special request song.

the other songs on our set list for your wedding. As you requested, we played almost exclusively oldies (50s/60s/70s/Motown and some 80s tunes), so I wish you had been more specific if you had any particular songs you wanted played. I know you requested Whitney Houston and Prince, both of which we included on the setlist. If you had your heart set on any additional requests, you are always more than welcome to add those to your band page leading up to the event.
We strive to make every event perfect and memorable, so I am sorry that you were disappointed by some of your setlist. We wish you all the best in your happy marriage!

The Lucky Devils turned my wedding into the most amazing party I could have ever imagined. They brought so much fun and energy into the room and the best part is they didn’t sound like a wedding “cover” band. They were so creative at arranging the songs and sets so that it created the best atmosphere for us and our guests. The band was so easy and great to work with, they took all of our odd requests and made it all flow seamlessly throughout the night. We used them for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. This band was fantastic!!! We had a small intimate wedding in Indian Wells, CA in October. Even thought it was small, we really wanted to hire a band and have the best night ever with our guests, so we went with the three piece option since that's all we could afford and all we could fit in our venue! I was a bit concerned that with only 3 pieces, they songs would feel half played or something, but that wasn't the case at all! They were so friendly and accommodating - I have a few friends who are musicians and they band members even let my friend splay a few songs! Totally above and beyond in my mind. They got right into the groove of a more casual setting and kept the party going all night. They were really flexible when we got some noise complaints from neighbours even though the noise ordinance wasn't until much later in the evening, so we shut the doors and they kept playing and my guests were dancing all night long! The whole night my guests kept exclaiming :these guys are amazing!". They truly were and really helped make my wedding dreams come true! Great communication leading up to the day as well.
Working with the Lucky Devils Band was the easiest part of planning my wedding as far as vendors go. They seriously just asked me what I wanted and did the rest! Aaron is a gem and answered any questions I had within 24 hours and usually much sooner. Did I mention he was cleaning up spilled beer on the dance floor as he was playing guitar? Choosing a wedding band over a DJ was the perfect decision for our wedding!! The quality of customer service I experienced from the Lucky Devils Band, and in particular, Jerry, could not be outdone. He would call and email and ensure that we were happy with the whole experience from start to finish. At no point did I ever doubt that the music would be spectacular, but I had no idea how great it would be. We had a five piece band, including male and female vocals and they were spectacular!! The ceremony music was also exactly what I imagined. There was even a last minute change of heart about the processional and they were able to offer a perfect solution for me.
