Your Story, Written in Light. I’m Debbie, the photographer behind Lucky Thirteen Photography. For nearly a decade, I’ve had the extraordinary privilege of being invited into people’s most meaningful days—not simply to document how they looked, but to preserve how they felt. I’m drawn to the quiet, unguarded moments that happen between the expected ones: a hand reaching for another beneath the table, the breath before walking down the aisle, wind catching a veil, laughter that folds someone completely in half. The pieces of the day that may seem small while they are happening, but become everything later. My approach blends honest storytelling with thoughtful portraiture and a deep love of atmosphere. I’ll offer direction when you need it, then give you room to be fully yourselves. Nothing stiff, performative, or disconnected from who you are. Your photographs should feel beautiful, certainly—but more importantly, they should feel true. I’m also a calm, practical presence on a wedding day. Years of experience have made me exceptionally good at reading a room, protecting a timeline without controlling it, noticing what needs attention, and helping things move gently forward. I care about your experience as much as the final gallery.
