Lucy's cake shop did an amazing job on my wedding cake and grooms cake. I was so happy with how my cakes looked on my wedding day.

We had two grooms cakes (carrot and chocolate fudge) and a traditional bridal cake (bavarian cream). All of our guests complimented us on the cake! In fact - we didn't even get to try any because all the cake got eaten! It was a no-brainer for me to go to Lucy's because my family has always gone there for special occasions. Lucy's does not use fondant and do not freeze their cakes- so it's always extremely fresh! The price is also very reasonable!

I have always loved Lucy's Cakes so when we needed a wedding cake, I knew exactly where to go. We were able to have each tier of our cake have different fillings. I really wanted a chocolate layer and they were able to do that as well- for an additional fee which I was more than happy to pay. They did an incredible job with buttercream- since we didn't want a cake covered in hard fondant. After the wedding, I took our top tier into the bakery and they wrapped it up for us to store until our 1st Anniversary!

Our wedding cake came with our venue. Double tree was our venue. It was beautiful and delicious. They were very professional. Very reliable.

I wanted to do a non-traditional cake and instead serve cupcakes at my wedding. Lucy's was more than willing to help me out, even when other cake shops looked at me like I was crazy, and even had the perfect stand to display my cupcakes at my wedding. They even made my husband a tres leches groom's cake (since he hates chocolate). They were so great, they even made two trips to deliver my cakes at no extra charge (one to deliver and set up the cupcakes, and the second to deliver the tres leches that needed to stay as cold as possible for as long as possible before being served). My husband LOVED the tres leches so much he saved a huge chunk for himself to eat all week after the wedding.

This shop offered a good cake at a great price.

Lucy's Cake Shop provided both my wedding and groom's cake. They provided delicious cakes and very beautiful designs. They do not freeze their cakes so you know you are getting the freshest and best quality. Their customer service was excellent as well. I was having my cakes delivered, which I highly recommend. Three days before our wedding, our original venue burned down! That morning, Mr. Majors (the owner) actually called me. He told me that they would be on standby to deliver the cakes wherever and whenever I told them too, that they were just a phone call away if I needed anything. He even helped me come up with some last minute venue ideas. When I did find a different venue, I knew I could rely on them to provide quality service, and they did! I highly recommend Lucy's Cake Shop.

My family has been buying cakes from Lucy's for years, so it was a bit of a no-brainer. We got three separate, small cakes and they were a much better deal than the other bakeries we went to. The price difference was unbelievable and no one pressured us to buy more than we wanted like at other places.

Lucys was one of the vendors included in a package I had. I was dissapointed in the actual taste of the cake, it was not similar at all to the ones we were given during the tasting. the overall appearance of the cake was nice but they were very hesitant to do what i wanted and had several "upcharges" for simple decor i requested. they told me they could only do roses "their" way even though i had a picture to show them what i wanted. charged extra to add a simple thick stripe along the second tier and second guessed alot of my choices even though the image i brought in to them showing what i wanted. They kept giving me their option and what they thought was best for me, even though i was pretty please with the image i brought to them. after a couple visits to the cake shop and several upcharges the appreace of the cake was nice but as far as customer service and taste it was very poor. unless your just going to look at your cake i wouldnt recommend them

My parents had their cake made here which is the reason for choosing them. Great prices. Cake was delicious!

The cake was a little pricey but it was everything I asked for. Get the Bavarian cream filling! So delicious and well worth the money.

My husband and I were told by different family members to try this vendor and we are very happy we did. Lucy's is a classic cake place that everyone knows and never fails. The wedding cake and groom cake came out perfect and were very delicious. My husband was very happy at the time to find out they were able to do the grooms cake he wanted.

This was some of the yummiest cake I've ever had and they have wonderful customer service.

The cake was beautiful and looked exactly like the sample we saw. The cake was gone at the end of the night. The cake was moist and Delicious. We get Lucy's cake for any occasion we have and the cake was just as good as any other time.

As always, Lucy's is the best in cakes. Our wedding cake was beautiful and very good. I got alot of compliments on it. I always get my cakes from Lucy's!

We visited Lucy's and one other (more popular) bakery in San Antonio when it came time to order our Wedding Cake and Groom's Cake. Lucy's Cake Shop appeared very "no-frills" while the other bakery seemed to roll out the red carpet. Judging by looks alone, most people would choose the other bakery. However, once we took a taste of the cakes, we were sold on Lucy's! And when we compared the cost between the two bakeries, we were sold again! The old rule of "don't judge a book by its cover" applies to Lucy's. Their cakes were so moist and delicious and incredibly affordable. Don't forget to try the chocolate with fudge frosting! We visited twice - the first time to taste and have a preliminary discussion regarding the design of the cakes, and a second time to finalize the cake flavor, design, and contract. On each visit, the employee we consulted with was very helpful and efficient. They know their business and they do it well. When we saw our cakes on our wedding day, I was blown away. Our cakes were gorgeous and delicious! We highly recommend Lucy's Cake Shop to every bride.

Lucy's was recommended by a few close friends. When we visited for a cake-tasting we were not overly impressed with service or business. The sales-person we met with didn't seem too friendly and was not very helpful during the process. BUT, once we chose our cake (both bridal and groom's cake) we could not have been happier. They delivered on time and followed through with their promises. They were extremely affordable and Lucy's ended up being one of our top 5 vendors. We highly recommend Lucy's cake shop for every occasion. I'd say that we plan on using them again, but we already have and and look forward to thawing out our top layer of cake at our one year anniversary.

Lucy's was very nice and made the cake just as was asked. They delivered the bridal cake and the grooms cake and it was very delicious. The guests loved and devoured it! Lucy's is a very nice place to get your cake. :) It's just a little bit pricey. We paid about $600 for the bridal cake and $200 for the groom cake.

From the tasting to delivery, everything ran smoothly. I've heard some horror stories about this cake shop so I was hesitant at first but you can't beat their price and taste of their buttercream. Cake was delivered on time and was as close to perfect as I could have asked for.

I used Lucy's for years from office affairs, birthdays, and any party.

This cake baker was so affordable!! I had a cake for a hundred people and it was less than $300. Plus it was absolutely delicious!

i use lucy's for everything. they have a wonderful selection of designs for any occasion. we also used casa maria for the grooms cake, it was awesome.

The cake was pretty and tasted good, and was very reasonable.;The bakery is very busy on weekends. Go during the week or see them at the bridal show.

They looked fabulous and tasted even better!! I can't wait until our 1 yr anniversary - they will make a mini replica for free! (Maybe this time I can take more than a bite!);They forgot the bride & groom strawberries on the groom's cake.

We ordered birthday cakes from them previously and they have been great. The cakes are beautiful they taste GREAT. It's a small family run shop.;My cake was totally wrong! It should have been yellow with bavarian cream filling bottom layer & the top layer should have been chocolate. it was all yellow. The design on the sides should have been hearts to go with the double heart theme I did for the wedding it was just swirls. Then when I went to tell them after the wedding they didn't make any attempt to 'fix' it no free small cake--nothing to make it right. There's no redoing a wedding cake so I would say get a picture of the cake you order and a copy of the order form with receipt. Then confirm IN PERSON whenever possible!

It was by far the best tasting cake we tried. And guests RAVED about it - we're still hearing about how tasty the cake was. It was fresh beautiful and delivered on time. Best of all - the price. Also the most inexpensive cake I could find for 120 people - $350 and they designed it exactly to my specifications.;Make sure you ask to speak to a cake designer - so you can relay exactly what you are looking for to the person that is going to be decorating it. Cuts out the possibility that your desires aren't communicated properly.

Lots of suggestions easy to meet with.;They put a different filling in our cake than we had contracted for and that was upsetting.

I wanted something simple but that didn't look plain or boring. They had tons of pictures and designs to choose from. I had somewhat of an idea in my head and we were able to come up with something by putting everything together. And the cake was amazingly delicious!

;i did not work directly with this entity but rather one of the workers also bakes cakes from their home; the cakes were NOT what I ordered; they came almost 2 hours late; the cakes were not tasty; the brides cake was not even and one side had smashed icing from the delivery; the grooms cake was missing a mouse layer and the chocolate topping was more like chocolate ice cream syrup... and the list continues...

They are very experience with wedding cakes, so the process was quick and easy. They also let you come in for a tasting to decide which cake you want, which is a lot of fun for the groom.

The cake tasted delicious as well as looked beautiful. The groom's cake, which was chocolate with strawberries on top stole the show.;I asked for a white background on the wedding cake with ivory stenciling, but you couldn't really tell any color difference. However, the cake still achieved the affect that I was going for.

My cake was beautiful AND tasted great.;I took my cake topper in prior to the wedding, but when they delivered the cake, they realized the prongs on the topper were too long when they delivered the cake, so then it became MY problem. That should have been determined before that.

Had various ideas to help pick the perfect cake. Tasted excellent espcially for the price. Willing to deliver a distance away and takes care of their customers

the time they put aside for us. the designs they had, suited to my needs. the colors and shapes. the tasting where good and satisfieing. the time of deliver was on time, and very satisfing to my husband and i. i have no complaints for this bakery!
