JUSTIN absolutely crushed it. He did our ceremony and our reception. He was by far the best wedding DJ I’ve witnessed. He was able to take the playlist ideas we had and seamlessly merge and flow them into one another. He read the room knew when to change the song. My dance floor was never empty and the biggest compliment we got that night was how good our DJ was. 10/10 recommend.

We had Justin DJ our wedding and it is not an exaggeration to say he made our wedding night. It has become hard to keep track of the amount of compliments we have received about our dancefloor and it is all thanks to Justin! He is a master of his craft, and was able to read the crowd to play music to keep the dancefloor full for the entirety of the night. No joke, it never thinned out and guests left gleaming from how much fun they had to the tracks Justin was spinning. We had many friends that are currently engaged and planned to get married outside of MI, and are talking about how to get Justin to DJ their weddings! Additionally, Justin helped make a very memorable reception speech possible by mixing in music to make a mo-town inspired speech a great success! Finally, Justin is just a great person. He is kind, professional, communicative and really listened to what we wanted out of our day and over delivered. We are so thankful for Justin!

We are so happy we chose LuFru Entertainment for our wedding and Justin was the perfect DJ for us and our guests! He kept our friends dancing all night and even got the kids and grandparents out on the dance floor together with all of our 20-30ish friends. You NEED to hire Luke!! As someone who loves to dance and is very particular about my music, I knew the DJ for our wedding was one of the most important pieces! As soon as I watched Luke’s demos I knew we had to have him. He does an amazing job of reading the crowd and keeping the energy high so that the dance floor is always full. At times it seemed like he was reading our minds and playing exactly the songs we wanted to hear. He will elevate your wedding and make sure everyone has fun! Highly recommend him!

Coming from the wedding industry, I have worked with Luke quite a few times before. When my wife and I got engaged I knew that I wanted Luke to be the DJ for our wedding. Luke really knows how to read the room and work in your song requests or suggestions to throw one heck of a party. He interacted with the guests to keep the hype alive all night long. Leading up to the wedding he was communicative and super helpful. We had a couple of songs that we wanted to blend for special dances and he made it so easy. Luke uses an online planner to plan your music choices with ease. We met with Luke a couple of times leading up to our big day and he was always willing to let us share what we had planned and offered his opinion when asked to help us with our song choices. We can’t recommend Luke enough for your special day.

Justin was absolutely amazing! We had a polish and Greek wedding with a variety of music and he was able to not only execute every song we had on our list but transitioned the songs so well that the music had people on the dance floor the entire evening. Our wedding timeline went ahead of schedule and Justin was able to accommodate any change in order to keep our guests happy. We had an amazing experience working with Justin from Lufru Entertainment! I cannot recommend him highly enough. From our first conversation it was clear that Justin is an incredibly talented DJ, but also one who cares immensely about a couple's vision for their wedding and making that come to life. One of my favorite things about working with Justin is his ability to "read the room" and understand what people are enjoying, what's getting them on the dance floor, what kind of music is working for a particular crowd, etc. We requested a few of songs for our reception, but mostly left the choice up to Justin, and I'm *so* glad we did. We pulled Lufru and DJ Justin Reed into our wedding plans with pretty short notice. Thankfully, they were available - quick to respond and get us on the books. Justin was so easy to work with. He was friendly, down to earth, and listened attentively during our initial calls to figure out just what we wanted from our DJ. Their online planner made it super easy for us to lay out the structure and schedule of our music and announcements for the evening, and even allowed us to drop in some playlists we had made on Spotify for inspiration. The pricing and payment was straightforward and easy, with no efforts to upsell us on additional services. On the day of, Justin's presence was exactly what we needed - there to make all our important announcements and get the crowd going without being self-promoting or over the top. Our dance floor was packed the entire night, and everyone had a fantastic time. His sound and lighting set up was perfect for our anniversary reception, and made our night feel like the best party ever. Can't recommend their services enough!

We got SO MANY positive comments on the music. A couple of my friends actually went up to compliment him on his music taste after the reception because they thought he did such a good job. I saw people on that dance floor that I have never seen dance in my entire life. My #1 priority for this wedding was that I wanted a packed dance floor and Luke made that happen. We had the absolute pleasure of having Justin Reed from LuFru DJ our wedding last month and he did not disappoint. When we originally booked him during the height of COVID, he was amazing at working through the gambit of questions and concerns we had via video conference. As our wedding approached this year, he quickly got back to us and even took time out of his schedule to meet us @ our venue 30 days out to ensure he would be properly set up with the right equipment. He also spent quite a few hours leading up to our day going over our song preferences and speech details to ensure he had everything fully fledged out to meet our expectations. On our actual wedding day, pure perfection and expertise is the best way to describe Justin’s work. He arrived early, made sure he was ready to go on time, and delivered an absolute stellar performance. Huge shoutout is in order for him being able to particularly keep his cool and figure out when the venue providing power tripped a breaker and shut down his equipment 5 minutes before our ceremony started. He remained calm, made sure we had no idea of the issue, and got everything back up and running to be able to execute his flawless performance. If you’re considering LuFru for your big day, and Justin is available, do yourself a favor and book him. Stop considering other options. Luke is your guy. You can read the many other glowing reviews on this site, but here's why WE loved him: - He stuck with us through a postponement and a seriously downsized wedding. - When we thought our venue would not allow dancing, he agreed to MC a giant bingo game without a second thought (though he did get let off the hook on this one). - He managed to pack the dance floor at a fairly small wedding (35 guests) of family only... with wide musical tastes. He read the room and kept the party going. - Most importantly, he's just a good dude. Like, my dad find out he was a cyclist and now he wants to go on bike rides with him. I get it... I want to hang out with Luke too. Seriously, look no further. Lufru Entertainment all the way!!!

Luke did an amazing job at our wedding. He worked with the officiant to make sure the ceremony went without a hitch. He managed to appease grandparents and college friends alike with dinner music selections, and then he got them to dance. He's a great choice.

Let me start off by saying- you WILL NOT be disappointed with Luke. We worked with Luke from the very start and went through wedding date changes AND wedding venue changes. He made everything so easy, even in the time of COVID. His online planner is amazing and so simple to use. He answered every single question and every single email I ever sent him (again, COVID)... But the real showstopper was watching him go to work. He is so insanely talented, and had EVERYONE dancing and enjoying the night. He knows exactly what to play and when to play it. We could not have asked for a better DJ. From the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to cake cutting & our first dance... and then the real fun of dancing all night... he blew us away! Trust me.... We were so excited to have Luke DJ our wedding based on other reviews, and he did not disappoint! He was so easy to work with leading up to the wedding and his online planning form is amazing and so detailed. He made great recommendations during the planning process too. Seriously the best DJ ever. We went to a wedding back in 2016 where Luke was the DJ, we knew right then that we would use him for ours when that day came. We had been to 20+ weddings since then, but still always remembered him as the best. Luke is so easy to work with from start to finish. He's super fun and easy going, but also so professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. The program he uses for brides/grooms to set up the music/timeline is super user friendly, and gives you a very clear idea of how the night will run. I was dead set on having an outdoor ceremony even though it was a light rain. Luke made it happen and it was even more perfect than I could have imagined. I reached out to him about specific songs for the ceremony and he was right on board with them, and helped me pick start/stop times that were spot on. We didn't expect anything different, but our dance floor was full for 4 hours straight. I didn't even get a chance to say hi to all of our guests because I was too busy dancing as well (my bad). Our wedding was 2 weeks ago and we still have so many guests reaching out complimenting how amazing the dj was and how "they have never danced so much at a wedding before." If you live in the metro Detroit area, or literally anywhere else in the world, reach out to Luke. You will not be disappointed!

We made the absolute PERFECT decision when choosing Luke to be our hype man for our wedding earlier this month! Working with Luke was seamless. He took the time to get to know us on our initial visit, allowed us to ask questions, and he really took the time figure out the vibe of our wedding! From here, the process was simple! We were able to create our own Spotify playlist so he could see the music we listen to and pull from at the wedding if needed and he had a portal so we could schedule out our wedding day and the music we wanted to hear at that specific time. This portal was so helpful to have for planning our entire wedding as well! During the ceremony Luke was able to set up mic's and a complete sound system! It was the absolute best audio that I've ever heard during a wedding. YES LUKE! After the ceremony, it was AMAZING! He played banger after banger in the dance barn :) Our guests continued to come up to us saying it was the BEST reception they have every been to. Luke was always keeping the party going and was open to getting requests from our guests while keeping his vibe flowing! We can't say enough good things about how he controlled the dance floor, our first dances, and introducing us at dinner. It seriously was the most epic party we have been a part of thanks to Luke! Luke was AWESOME at my wedding and I highly recommend him! I had a wedding at a venue that required sound in 3 separate spaces - outdoor ceremony, dinner in a tent, and the dance floor indoors. Luke brought everything to seamlessly move between spaces - creating a set up for each that fit our needs. Sound levels and quality was perfect for all parts of the event. He even had wind reduction for the mics for the ceremony. Luke helped us build a great schedule and sound plan. His website allows you to input everything from the special dances, to entrance songs, to dance songs, and do not play songs... It kept us super organized. Luke was also flexible - we cut the cake right after cocktails because the cake was melting - hot weather - and he easily made the adjustment in timeline. When we wanted to be specific Luke built playlists based on our requests (dancing), but when we wanted to be general (jazz during dinner but not too experimental) he took the work off our hands. We had an epic dance party with only 85 guests and about a dozen of them were elderly non-dancers. Luke brought some impressive equipment, and he is a super talented DJ! He read the crowd really well. The dancing was the part of the event I received the most compliments on (besides my dress). People of all ages kept coming up to me telling me we had the best wedding DJ ever - both younger cousins and older aunts and uncles. He never let the energy drop too much and we were all sad when it had to end. Importantly, Luke is easy to work with, responsive, and a really nice guy. I would hire him again without hesitation!

Luke was so amazing! Our guests loved him! He was also super easygoing. We decided last minute to extend our wedding and he had no problem with it. He also was totally awesome and helped me with all the tech and music for a photo slideshow that I made to play during our wedding reception. We had our wedding in Grand Rapids, MI but we were planning from afar in Scottsdale, Arizona. It can be harrowing planning from out -of -state but Luke made everything super easy and took a lot of stress of our minds. I love alternative/indie music and my husband loves 90s/early 2000s hip hop and pop so we requested these genres along with some Bollywood music (my husband's family is Indian). Luke was able to blend all these genres into an amazing playlist that had our guests from many different backgrounds and ages dancing all night!

Hiring Luke to DJ our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! He kept the dance floor packed all night, without having to play the cheesy line dance songs that we didn’t want. We are still getting comments from our guests (of all ages) on how great he was! We planned our wedding from out of state, and we didn’t get a chance to meet him until the week of the wedding, but he was incredibly easy to work with via phone and email, and has an online tool you can use to plan your songs. When we met in person the week of, he instantly calmed last-minute stress by answering our questions and giving suggestions. The DJ really can make or break a wedding, and we highly recommend Luke!

Perfect 5 stars! Luke did an incredible job at our wedding. From the beginning, he was super chill and easy to work with. He has a nice online tool to make laying out the day easy, and he also took playlists from Spotify with song suggestions. One the night off, Luke read the room well and the dance floor was full the whole night, as we rocked out to hit after great hit. I'd say Luke's style is a DJ who focuses on delivering great music and a great party, and he lets the dance party take center stage. He's not going to jump in with cheesy games or quips that stifle the party. We loved that. Stop looking and just book Luke. You won't regret it.

My husband and I got married on October 13th and it was by far the best day of our lives! We can attribute most of this to Luke and his incredible work. Luke’s website is organized making communication with him on your expectations SUPER easy. The day of our wedding, he kept everything running smoothly throughout the night and fed off of the energy of our friends and family. We had about 175 people at our wedding and over 50% of our guests (probably more) were on the dance floor the ENTIRE night!! We had multiple friends ask for his information for their upcoming weddings and both of our families are still raving about how incredible he was. My dad doesn’t dance, and by the end of the night Luke was giving him shoutouts for his dance moves. I cannot stress enough how incredible Luke is... BOOK HIM, you will not be disappointed!

Every aspect of working with Luke was great from the moment we contacted him to ask questions about his services to the big day! We were planning our wedding from out of town, and Luke took the time to speak with us over the phone to answer all of our questions before we finalized our decision to work with him. He was responsive via email in answering multiple questions that came up along the way as well. He was flexible in meeting with us in person when we were in town, which we appreciated. He has a great online tool that helps guide and organize all the information he needs, and it was very helpful to have that tool to add songs/information to gradually as we made progress in planning. On the wedding day, he supplied and set-up all his own equipment (sound, mics, lighting), and it was great not to have to coordinate or even think about any of those details on the wedding day. Everything went smoothly with our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Luke was an enthusiastic, fun, and professional emcee. We gave Luke some ideas for reception music and a few "must plays", but basically chose to give him free range, as he had promised to keep the dance floor packed all night, and he delivered on that! At the beginning of the night, he got literally every guest dancing, and the dance floor almost wasn't big enough! Even after dancing had been going on for 3 hours, we were enjoying it to the end! He played all of the songs that we asked of him, and was able to extrapolate from the ideas we gave him to music we'd enjoy that would keep everyone having fun with dancing! Looking back on our wedding day, we could not be more thrilled with Luke's services. We entrusted him with some of the most important parts of the day, from running the ceremony music, making our first introduction as a newly married couple, and ensuring the music for the reception would keep our guests dancing and having fun! He was an integral part of our wedding and a pleasure to work with!

Luke was SUCH a wonderful DJ. We are so happy with how everything turned out. He met with me several times to make sure everything was how we wanted it and this kept my mind at ease. He is responsive, professional, courteous and talented. He is soft-spoken but don't let that fool you! He knows how to keep the party going, even when it's disgustingly hot out and no one wants to get on the dance floor. Our wedding was at a large outdoor venue but folks could hear the music from wherever they were and loved it. Several people commented that he played a great mix of songs that appealed to all age groups. Everyone enjoyed themselves a great deal and we're so thankful. He even accommodated some of our weirder requests without question (grand entrance songs, aisle songs, etc). Luke was a real pleasure to work with and would HIGHLY recommend him!

We are so glad we found Luke for our wedding. Luke was absolutely fantastic to work with for our wedding. We met with him when we were first researching DJs, and we stopped looking after our meeting. I really appreciated his attitude and philosophy toward music in general, and specifically toward playing music for weddings. He was extremely helpful in providing recommendations for songs/genres and order of events, and with editing our music. He did not impose his preferences on our choices/playlist, but he was honest when we asked him for advice. As the emcee, he ensured that our wedding ran smoothly and that our guests had a great time, without the show ever being about him. The dance floor was filled all night, but there was a good flow that encouraged people to take breaks for dessert/bar/photos/socializing without it ever feeling like the party slowed down. We can't say enough good things about Luke as our DJ for our wedding, and as my husband and I are dancers, the music was one of the most important parts of the night.

If you are looking for someone to fill your dance floor, look no further! All of our guests commented on how great the music was and how packed the dance floor was all night long. Luke brought in a keyboard for our friend to play, worked with our friend to ensure that they were on the same page both the day of and before the wedding. He truly went the extra mile! Luke’s wedding planner made everything super simple! We included our day of timeline and put in some songs we liked for certain times and Luke took it from there. He also gave us a call the week of to make sure that we didn’t have any last minute requests or accomodations. Lufru Entertainment was one of the best decisions we made for our July wedding! Luke truly knows how to keep the party going all night long! Our dance floor was packed from the second the first song came on, until midnight when everyone was kicked off. He knew just how to keep all the guests happy by playing new music for the younger crowd, but being sure to throw in a few older ones to keep people from heading back to their seats. We even had a family member who is also in the DJ business come up to us and say "Wow, your DJ is awesome!" I am still in shock at the crowd I saw on the dance floor at midnight. We found Luke after searching high and low for a DJ that we felt like we clicked with and wasn't a company that was stuck in the "standard wedding music" mold. Music was extremely important to us as we wanted a dance party all night long. Luke provided exactly that! With Luke you aren't getting some huge DJ company in which you don't know who is going to show up on your day. He also takes time to meet with you and discuss what you DO and DON'T want played. He has a very handy website that lets you build your day so he knows exactly what you expect. We had guests of all ages out on the dance floor until the very end of the evening! To this day we still have guests raving about our DJ selection. Due to the fact that Luke has his own business he is very busy and is sometimes not the quickest on response to e-mails. Luke was recommended to us by our photographer, and we're so glad! He did a great job of keeping guests dancing while honoring our requests. Weird to some but a huge plus to us: Luke's got a fantastic website to help customize your requests and makes it VERY clear what you want and when you want it. We were confident going into the night that Luke understood what we were looking for, and that was totally the case.

There are not enough words to explain how lucky we are to have been recommended Luke. Luke was amazing!!!! He was very easy to work with and very nice. I really liked that he had a wedding planning playlist to fill out with a do not play list and a overview of the day. Our dance floor was packed thee ENTIRE night! I never saw the floor empty and everyone kept saying how great the music was. I had one guest comment that she didn't want to go to the bathroom since she didn't want to miss a good song. Luke did a great job at playing all different kinds of genres and was great at feeling the crowd and knowing what types of music to play. I have never seen my grandma dancing and she was up dancing in her seat! Our wedding was not on schedule due to the rain and Luke was nice enough to keep the music going past when he was scheduled to end which made everyone happy. Luke is amazing to work with. He doesn't seem like the "DJ type" but he knows his stuff. He changed up music when it needed to be and got the guests involved. It wasn't blaring or too loud either. A DJ can make or break your wedding and Luke only enhanced ours.

We were originally going to hire a different DJ company, the kind that have 10-20 DJs in their headcount, and you would randomly be assigned one after your deposit was received. Lucky for us, they lost our deposit in the mail, because then we booked Lufru! Luke was perfect for our wedding. From our first meeting, to the song suggestions on his wedding app, to really running the show on the day of, Luke was on top of everything. He read the crowd perfectly and kept our dance floor full the whole time! It's only been 3 weeks since our wedding and I've already had a handful of guests ask me who our DJ was and how to get in touch with him for their future events.

So thankful to have a professional, fun, and great guy to work with for our wedding. Luke knew what kind of music and vibe we were looking for with only a few songs mentioned to him. He played several genres of music [which we wanted & LOVED!] and everyone had a great time. I think I danced for 4 hours straight!

Luke DJ’d our wedding in June 2012 and we couldn’t have made a better choice. He provided music for the ceremony and the reception.
