Luke and Ashley were amazing to work with!!! We loved them from our engagement shoot. They knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable during the shoot and the photos turned out beautifully. We are still waiting on the full album from our wedding, but they sent a sample the day of and those photos were GORGEOUS. They are true professionals and extremely talented at their art, and also super kind, funny, and down-to-earth. Would 100% recommend them!

Luke and Ashley were the first vendors we booked for our wedding. Before the venue, before catering, before I even had my engagement ring, we knew we wanted Luke and Ashley. I (the bride) have never felt comfortable in front of a camera. Luke and Ashley changed that. They are extremely professional, and (for the camera shy) kept me laughing and distracted so much so that I barely realized my picture was being taken. The candid shots we have not only of the wedding party, but all of our guests, are memories that we will cherish forever. They went above and beyond to make our day special, and we honestly would've invited them to the wedding if they hadn't been roped into working. Two things: -Do the engagement shoot! - Do the first look!! Some of our favorite most incredibly images are from our first look. P.S. Thank you Ashley for the hug right before, I was definitely about to start crying (from happiness!) before even seeing him!

Luke and Ashley were recommended to us by a friend, and I cannot say enough positive things about the experience with them. They are so professional. Our engagement shoot with them was a blast and the photos were flawless. In the planning process, every time we told another vendor that L&A were our photographers, the response was, "How on Earth did you get them?! They are the best in Virginia!" They truly have lived up to this reputation. On the day of our wedding, they were completely calm and in control. They made my husband and me feel like we looked like a million bucks. I don't even know how they got the stunning photos they got during the ceremony, because they faded into the background so well that I didn't even realize they were there - but the pictures look like they were right up in the middle of the action! They sent us a "sneak peek" of many pictures they took on the wedding day. I don't know how in the world they turned the pictures around that fast - and the "sneak peek" pictures are literally the best wedding photos I've ever seen in my life. We haven't even seen all of our pictures yet but could NOT wait to give them a glowing review. They really are the best in the business. We can't wait to see the rest of the photos and I truly cannot say enough good things about Luke and Ashley. We highly recommend them.

Luke and Ashley were immediately our top pick for photographers for our wedding. Not only do they take incredible photos, but they are so fun and easy to work with. Both my husband and I can be a little camera shy and didn't know the first thing about how to pose naturally. But from the very beginning, the shared all kinds of educational materials and provided us with great instruction to feel very natural and comfortable in front of the camera. Luke & Ashley were by far the best investment we made in our wedding! From the moment we met, we knew they were our kind of people - laid back, personable and FUN! They are also incredibly talented and gave us the most beautiful engagement and wedding photos that we ever could have dreamed of! They take away any nerves and awkwardness because you feel like you're hanging out with your friends, laughing and taking photos! I also want to add that on our wedding day it rained hard (like, flash floods) but Luke & Ashley really looked out for us! They watched the weather like a hawk and the moment the rain stopped they shuffled us outside and made sure we got the pictures we wanted. You would never even know that it rained like it did based on our photos! They really did such an amazing job - we absolutely loved them!

Choosing Luke and Ashley based out of Virginia was the easily one of the best decisions made while planning our wedding! Starting with our wonderful experience from our engagement photos at a beautiful location picked by Luke ang Ashley that turned out amazing! The special app for viewing the photos was such a cool feature to share! Between the stress of planning a wedding the pandemic, Luke and Ashley were great and very accommodating! On the big day, Luke and Ashley were very personable, professional, and great to work with! They captured every special moment for the big day and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any new bride to be! Do not look any further for a photographer to capture your biggest life moments!

We loved working with Luke and Ashley. They did a great job helping us feel comfortable during our engagement shoot and helped us get all the photos we wanted on the wedding day. The wedding day is such a fast paced blue so it’s so helpful to have photographers you can trust to work through everything on your shot list in an efficient and timely manner. They helped us wrangle up large family members and bridal party members for our various photo combinations and did great detail shots with us in the afternoon before our wedding.

I cannot recommend Luke & Ashley highly enough! They photographed our wedding in May 2019, and we had the very best experience from start to finish. We loved that they are a husband and wife team. My husband loved Luke, and we just really felt like we were hanging out with our friends. It was great that Ashley was able to photograph the girls getting ready while Luke photographed the guys getting ready. Luke & Ashley were easy to work with and communicate with, and they were very flexible and accommodating. They had all of our pictures (engagement & wedding) turned around so quickly, and we are absolutely in love with the images. They made us feel so comfortable and were so easy to talk to and very funny!! They had great ideas for pictures and the timing of the day, and were overall just really on top of everything and a wealth of knowledge. Being a photographer myself, I know full well the challenges and pressures of shooting weddings. So I leave this review to say 100% without a doubt that Luke and Ashley are amazing photographers. Me and my wife hired them and couldn't be happier with the results. I hate being in front of a camera, but Luke and Ashley did a great job making taking pictures a truly fun process. One of the things I liked having about having a husband/wife duo like them for our big day was the capability to have them split up the pre-ceremony shots to capture memories from both the brides point of view, and the grooms. It also gave us different points of view from the ceremony, reception, and portraits. Their workflow, creativity, professionalism, and personality speak for themselves. 100% worth the money, GO HIRE THEM!

Luke and Ashley are hands down the best photographers ever! They're an adorable husband and wife team who work so perfectly together! We cannot picture having anyone else capture our big day! My wedding photos were by far my number one priority. I wanted my photos to be amazing because that is something I would have forever. I did a lot of research when picking a photographer. Luke & Ashley have an amazing website. When I reached out to them they contacted me promptly. I did not have a wedding planner so had a lot of questions. Among other things, they helped me with recommending other vendors and making my timeline. The package I selected had an engagement session. The session really helped us to get to know each other prior to the wedding. Luke & Ashley are very easy to talk to and make you feel comfortable. They were great on my wedding day and worked well with all my vendors and my videographer. My photos were even done earlier then I had expected. Luke & Ashley made me feel special and went out of their way to make sure I got all of the photos I wanted. You can tell they truly love what they do and make the whole process enjoyable. Their photographs speak for themselves. I recommend them 100%!

We came across Luke and Ashley kind of blindly here on Wedding Wire. Once seeing Luke and Ashley's photos and meeting them we were sold - they were honestly the only photographers we even contacted because we instantly liked them that much! Not only are Luke and Ashley seriously talented photographers but they are overall awesome people you just want to be around. You spend so much time with your wedding photographers leading up to the wedding for engagement photos and then on the big day. Luke and Ashley were SO much fun, let us be ourselves, made us feel so comfortable, and honestly felt like another couple of friends at our wedding (Ashley may have saved the day getting me into my wedding dress!). My guests can not stop complimenting us on our photos and we couldn't be happier with our wedding photos. They shot our wedding in Richmond, VA and they captured our day to perfection. Hiring Luke & Ashley was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. They were open, honest, helpful, attentive, and they did an AMAZING job. I have recommended them to any and everyone I know getting married.

We live outside of Richmond, but originally started looking at wedding venues in Virginia Beach because that's where my family is from...that's how we found Luke and Ashley ---Thank GOODNESSSSS! Luke and Ashley drove up to (just outside of) Richmond, VA for our wedding (and the engagement session had been at the venue in April)! We booked them originally because we loved the style of their photos, how they captured the light, the love, the softness and tenderness, and the everlasting memories. But after meeting them, we just loved THEM as a whole! It was great to have a couple photography team, for my husband and myself. They made us feel so comfortable, and guided us for shots that they obviously have more experience taking than we do! They also got a ton of candid shots that bring even more memories to mind. They put up with ALLLL the requested shots I asked them to get - in addition to their own they planned for, and we were still on time with everything! Luke and Ashley made us feel so special, AND returned some sneak peek shots within 4 days! I don't know about you, but I felt that was incredible timing (not to mention, they surprised us with some photos AT THE WEDDING!)!! Our engagement session and wedding might be over, but I wouldn't put it past us to use Luke and Ashley for future events, even though they aren't local to us. These two were the perfect photographers for us, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking!

Where to start? This power couple is simply amazing. I would have my wedding all over again just to work with them! Luke and Ashley are a husband wife team that simply work. They know what they are doing. My husband and I had less then a year to plan our 3 days 4 event Hindu wedding. My first task was to find the best photographer I could find within my budget. During the research process I searched high and low for a free photographer for one of the busiest wedding weekends in our area. I emailed these two and within hours I had the response I was looking for. They were booked, but they would make it happen! Honest they were, that this would be their first Hindu wedding, but they were excited, and I was in love!! We met multiple times to speak about timelines for all 4 of our events. Their kids that tag along to meetings and some events are extremely cute and well behaved. We had an e-session with them prior to our big day, and when we saw the work they did we knew we mad the right choice! During all of our events Luke was great! He made us laugh and made our guest feel comfortable. Ashley was with us for our first three events, and she was a pro. Your couldn't even tell this was her first Indian wedding! During the wedding day they called in for backup since, Ashley had an event elsewhere. And the backup with just as amazing! Whatever these two and their team do is simply amazing! Seeing the photos from the events are mind-blowing. Many of my guest can't stop praising their work and can't wait to see the rest!! If you're looking for the best then go ahead and stop looking! These two will capture your day like no else will! Love you Luke and Ashley!!!

Luke and Ashley Photography went above and beyond for us on our Wedding Day! I'll start by saying, my mom is a photographer, and my bridesmaid is a photographer, so there were a lot of 'ideas' and critical eyes floating around the day of the Wedding, and both of them ended up telling me how much they loved L&A. Luke and Ashley made sure everyone felt heard and beyond that really knocked it out of the park. I live in New Jersey, and when looking for a photographer for our Wedding, I tried to find someone who I felt could really capture the vibe, spirit and fun of the wedding. Meeting for the first time on the Wedding day (because of my busy schedule), I was immediately comfortable with them both. We even hired an assistant, Jessica who was extremely professional and helpful. It was a great team, and they worked seamlessly with the other vendors as well. Being that it was a rainy day, they really worked around it and found beautiful spots to capture it all. They even took us back out once the rain had stopped to get the outdoors shots we had missed! I had warned Ashley, that I had A LOT of custom details to capture. Homemade Limoncello Soap Favors, Handmade wooden benches and chargers, custom champagne glasses, coozies, a cigar bar, custom photo booth and so much more. Their quickness was amazing too. Even at the reception was a slideshow of the photos playing! Two days later, I had a sneak peak to post on my facebook to give everyone a little bit of excitement, followed by a day later of a blog post! I have heard non-stop compliments from everyone of how beautiful the pictures are, how amazing we look, and they really captured everything and beyond. Being a larger girl, I really was nervous about angles and my arms, and Ashley really kept that in mind when posing us. I look at the pictures and can't believe how much better I look in the photos than in real life! I can not say enough praise about Luke & Ashley Photography and definitely know 100% my wedding would not have been the same without them!!! I would no doubt hire them again and again!!!
