We recently had Loren DJ our wedding, and he absolutely exceeded all of our expectations! From the very first meeting, he was professional, friendly, and genuinely interested in making our wedding day special. He knew exactly how to keep the energy up and dance floor alive all night! Loren was totally amazing!! So professional and skilled at his trade. An empty dance floor was my biggest fear, Loren assured us that he would have everyone dancing all night long and he DELIVERED! I also had a few oddball songs on my must plays and he was able to throw them into the mix with no trouble at all. We truly appreciated his communication through the planning process, he made us feel completely comfortable and confident in choosing him!!

Nick Dillon with Luminary Productions was the DJ for our wedding and we could not have been happier with him! Loren and his entire team at Luminary Productions is absolutely incredible! We worked DJ Jomar Shaffer who was fantastic from start to finish. He was easy to communicate with and took the time to collaborate with us to ensure we felt confident and excited going into the wedding. On the day of, Jomar seamlessly transitioned guests from a joyful ceremony to a packed dance floor with his music and overall fun and friendly vibe. He was professional, easy to work with, and definitely knew how to keep our guests engaged and partying. We had an absolute BLAST and our guests did too! Luminary Productions also provides other entertainment including a digital photo booth and cold sparks, both of which made our night extra fun. We couldn’t be happier with our experience!
We loved having Loren as our DJ at our wedding. Loren is a true expert and professional. He knows what he is doing and makes you feel calm and at ease because you can just trust him to work his magic- I think that’s one of the best feelings when hiring a wedding vendor! Loren is an excellent communicator, which was really important to me when picking vendors. From ceremony music, reception music all through the night, and even a private last dance, Loren understood exactly what we wanted and made it come to life! He truly works for YOU and helps you just enjoy your wedding day. We loved having him as a part of our wedding!
We worked with Loren Miller from Luminary Productions and had the absolute best time! It was like he read our minds. The dance floor at our wedding was packed from start to finish. So many guests came up to us on the dance floor to comment how it was the best wedding music they had ever heard. I don't think I've ever seen that many people on the dance floor - and stay there. My wife Hannah and I would work with Loren again 100 times and have already recommended him to our engaged friends!
When sitting down to wedding plan our wedding, my husband and I were on the same page that a DJ can make or break the day... DJ Mike could not have been a more perfect fit for our special day! From the first meeting we had with Mike we knew we were in good hands; he took into account all of the details we wanted to include to make our day unique and special to us, truly capturing every moment and allowing us to feel frozen in time with so many memories. The dance floor was full from the first to last song which was EXACTLY how we wanted to celebrate our day. Mike and Bobby were amazing at our wedding. The timing for ceremony music and the procession was spot on. From the first song to the last, the dance floor was full! He honored all requests and read the crowd to insure it was a party all night long.
Booking with DJ Mike fro luminary productions was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From the first meeting we were blown away by Mike’s caring attitude and passion for crafting the perfect day for us. He incorporated different songs from artists that played at the Windy City Smoke-out in 2019 ( a concert that we attended on one of our early dates) during the dinner and it was such a unique and personal touch that we weren’t expecting, but we loved! He also had a picture from our actual ceremony on the DJ booth during dinner so that was so cool to see in real time! We got so many complements on the DJ and many our our guests said that it was one of the most fun weddings that they’ve attended and I know most of that was directly due to DJ Mike! So if you want to have the time of your life on the dance floor at your wedding, I can’t recommend him and luminary productions enough!
We had a fantastic experience working with Loren, as it was clear from the beginning and throughout our several meetings in the months leading up to the wedding how much he prioritized the flow and feel of the evening as much as the actual music being played and that was very much delivered on our wedding day. The best example in our case was how he slightly adjusted the music to cater to the unexpectedly large group of kid cousins that spent a huge portion of the night on the dance floor; there was still a great balance of music for all guests to enjoy, though, and it did feel like the music that played was reflective of what we had generally wanted. It certainly helped how familiar he was with both the venue and several of our other vendors but in general, I'd expect Loren to always have a good sense for the vibe of the reception and what kind of party the couple would want to throw. He also did an excellent job of incorporating the hora dancing at the right time during the reception. In addition, all the additional audio (mics for officiant and for speeches later during the reception) seemed to work flawlessly. Finally, Terrance being available as the saxophonist was an incredible addition and well worth the cost.All in all, I'd highly recommend Loren as a wedding DJ!
Nick was the best DJ to work with! He was funny, charismatic, and truly took time to get to know us leading up to our wedding. All of our guests loved the music and the energy never dissipated on the dance floor thanks to Nick! We are so glad we chose Luminary Productions!

Loren was great to work with! He was initially recommended to us by our photographer as someone they thought did a good job of keeping the day moving. After our first call, we realized what a great fit he would be- he very much wanted the focus to be on us, and had a relaxed but confident demeanor. Our two meetings with him were really helpful- he had a lot of questions that we didn’t have an answer to quite yet at the first, so having the follow up meeting was great to finalize. The day of, he communicated great with our coordinator, and everything seemed to go smoothly. He kept the dance floor packed all night, so many people told me they hadn’t danced that much in years! Definitely would recommend hiring

Dj Loren was AMAZING. He was fun to work with and beyond organized, which as a planner I appreciated. He not only provided amazing music, but his lighting was beyond and brought an extra touch to everything. The photobooth was of course a great hit and overall, Loren kept the party going all night. 10/10 recommend!

When the bride is a wedding planner, you know this review wasn't just fluff...we are flattered!
If picking someone to work with was only based on ease of communications or friendliness or 'chill' (which is a much needed feeling during wedding planning) Loren would hit it out of the park. Luckily for him, he also has the DJ talent to really round out the whole package. We opted for the live drummer to accompany him and could not recommend it more. You got the feel of a live band with the song variety of a DJ. Truly Truly was the best person we could have booked for the job.
OMG! We had an awesome experience with Loren and Luminary Productions. All of my guests had a wonderful time dancing the night away. Our attendees were from 2 to 89 years of age and everyone was on the dance floor. The overall experience, the ceremony, pre-party gathering, dinner, and festivities were "spot on". Professionally done.
We had a GREAT experience with Luminary Productions. Our DJ, Mike, was so amazing! We said we wanted a fun reception and he made sure that’s exactly what we got! All of our guests loved the music he played. We heard all night ‘your DJ is SO good!’
The moment I had my initial consultation meeting with Loren was the moment I knew that we needed to hire him as our DJ. I cannot recommend his services enough to make your day truly spectacular!!! I could go on and on with all the ways he made our day amazing, but there were a few ways that Loren just blew us away! He made the dance experience SO FUN, people would not leave the dance floor (including myself)!! He also handled all of the transitions throughout the day seamlessly, nothing felt rushed or unnatural. He also had state of the art equipment - no ear-piercing blow outs, no technical difficulties, no problems! I recommend Luminary Productions with my whole heart!

My wife and I hired Loren at Luminary Productions to DJ our wedding and reception. We met with Loren twice before the wedding. Once to get to know each other and discuss specifics, and again a few weeks prior to the wedding to finalize song choices. We ended up choosing specific songs for the ceremony but pretty much let Loren do his thing during the reception. He did an excellent job as we received many compliments on the music from our guests. Our guests may have been particularly joyful, but the dance floor was never empty. We also purchased the photo booth and up-lighting options as part of the service package. I would definitely recommend the photo booth as guests tend to have a lot of fun with it and you get additional photos. The up-lighting helped to create a nice ambiance during the reception. Overall, I would highly recommend Luminary Productions for your event! Cheers!

We saw Loren keep the dance floor HYPE for my brother's wedding a year before ours and knew we had to hire him. He did a great job of listening to what we wanted out of our night and checking in with the guests to see what they wanted to dance floor. Our dance floor was SO much fun all thanks to Loren! A guest even said they'd fly him down to Florida because he was the best DJ they've ever seen. Hire him and you will have a party all night long!!

If you are looking for a DJ, look no further than Loren. He is so organized, personable and timely plus all of the other vendors love working with him. He was receptive to feedback throughout and did a great job reading the mood of the night. Would also highly recommend the photo booth and indoor fireworks as add ons - the guests loved the booth (and we loved looking at the pics the next morning) and the fireworks looked great in our preview photos.

An Epic Day (and night)!
When we were starting to plan our wedding, we both agreed that a fun dance floor was our top priority. We hired Nick with Luminary Productions, and it was the best decision we made throughout the entire planning process. From beginning to end he was amazing to work with. Super nice, fun and easy to collab with, and he immediately picked up on the type of dance floor/music we wanted. When it came to showtime, he absolutely CRUSHED the entire day. The vibes were on point throughout the night, and no one ever left the dance floor. Now a few weeks post wedding, people are still commenting to us on how much fun they had and how awesome our DJ was. 10/10. Wish we could get married again to have him as our DJ again. DJ Mike was EPIC! Having a fantastic DJ was one of the most important things for us for the wedding, and Mike killed it - he was even better than we hoped and expected. From being the EMCee for night, to the music during the ceremony and dinner, to the music on the dance floor, it was all top notch. During the planning process our few meetings with Mike were very helpful; he gave us honest suggestions about changing things in our timeline to help the flow of the night, without pressuring us to make adjustments. During the wedding, he wasn’t just there playing music, but he was listening and taking things in. Throughout the night he referenced things that were said during the ceremony, and during the toasts, showing this is more than a job, its a passion. And the way he hyped people up was awesome, especially during the bridal party introductions - we had several guests comment how cool and energetic that was. And the dance party couldn’t have been any better; the music was a good blend of what we wanted, as well as his own songs, which was exactly what we were after. We had multiple people comment how good Mike was, including a couple people saying “I’ve never seen a wedding dance party like this before”. That last line basically puts it perfect - best DJ we’ve ever seen and so glad we had Mike at our wedding. 100% will recommend to ANYONE!

Mike was prepared and professional, asked us the right questions to uncover the exact vibe we were looking for, and he executed everything perfectly. We hired Luminary Productions for a November 2021 wedding and Loren absolutely delivered on his promises for our big day. The music and party atmosphere was fantastic. He took our pre-event meeting seriously and listened to all of the stuff we wanted to hear - mixing in hip hop, dance, etc with the crowd favorites from the requests coming from the guests.
Our venue was The Columbus Athenaeum and he made sure the volume, number of speakers etc. was right for the room and space. We had friends marry there with audio issues and we wanted to avoid that. The ceremony audio was great and went off without a hitch.
We had people on the dance floor the ENTIRE evening. We had our parents comment about how everyone was dancing the whole time. I can say without a doubt I haven't been to weddings with that level of engagement before.
Without a doubt I would 100 percent recommend Loren to anyone getting married in Central Ohio.

Truthfully I didn’t know where to start when looking for a DJ. It was confusing, but the second I came across DJ Mike I knew I made the right decision. He makes sure he does absolutely everything that you want/need. He couldn’t have been better!!!! It was important for us to have not only good/fun music to get people out on the dance floor (which he absolutely did), but also a great MC to let people know when things were going on and he couldn’t have been better. He truly is 100000/10!!! He is not only an amazing DJ, but wonderful person!! He made a very stressful seeming thing so fun and easy and I truly can’t say enough good things about him!!! As venue owners, Loren has always been one of our favorite DJ’s. So when our own daughter was getting married, we couldn’t imagine doing it without him. And let me tell you, he did not disappoint! Loren was AMAZING!
From beginning to end, we knew exactly what to expect. We were able to have a handful of meetings to discuss music tastes, general “vibe” and specifics needs for the wedding. Loren made the process of “having fun”… well… SUPER FUN!
I am incredibly grateful that we had Loren on our day because he was literally the perfect emcee. He provided the music for our ceremony and reception. He was effortless with the guests, helped to keep everything running smoothly (which was a God send) and kept everyone engaged during everything. He had a tough job but he is INCREDIBLY TALENTED.
He also knew exactly what songs people would want to dance to- it was so fun!

Loren (Luminary Productions) was phenomenal and we cannot recommend him enough!! He is extremely professional, detail-oriented, and knows how to run an event.
We had three meetings with Loren and in each one he was prepared and respected our time. He asked thoughtful questions to get to know us and clearly outlined the exact information he needed from us.
On our wedding day, Loren went above-and-beyond and was truly a professional. One example of this was before the ceremony when he spotted my husband looking around for water for the wedding party. Loren stopped his setup process to help him and make sure we had everything we needed.
Loren was responsible for the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. His equipment is top-notch and sounded great throughout. He helped everyone get set up and comfortable with mics, and everything went smoothly. Loren really knows how to "read the room". While an event timeline is important, it's just as important to be flexible. During cocktail hour, everyone was enjoying the beautiful weather outside on the patio. Loren saw this and adjusted the order of events so that our Best Man and Maid of Honor speeches could be outside before the rest of the indoor activities. The night flowed perfectly.
Loren played the BEST music and kept everyone dancing the entire night. We had guests come to us during and after to say it was "the best dance part they have ever been to"!
Do yourself a favor and hire Loren for your special day!

Loren was PERFECT. 10 out of 5 stars. He is professional, friendly, detail orientated and knows how to read the room. Our pre-ceremony, ceremony, dinner and reception went great with him as the DJ and MC. He made the whole process before the wedding super easy and stress-free. He takes care of details such as working with the other vendors before and day of so you can enjoy every moment. Our dance floor was filled the ENTIRE night. Something we really valued was his ability to pick up on what kind of crowd was there, and play music that made everyone happy. His AV equipment was professional and sounded amazing. He also set up a camera and live stream video so my husband's family could tune into the ceremony from Australia. He was worth every single penny and I would HIGHLY suggest hiring him for your wedding or event.

Such a great night!!
Loren was amazing. That's it. There were no sound issues, ever, he was prompt for everything, an A1 quality DJ. I like how he even met up with us before the wedding to talk things through. I even switched things up at the last minute and he was great adjusting to exactly what I wanted as the bride. Best thing is he rolled with us through the pandemic and didn't just drop us as clients due to the uncertainty of everything in the beginning. He's super friendly, mixes songs very well, that was our favorite part. Though my wedding was small the pictures of people singing and dancing were hilarious. They were really into the music. Loren has now done my wedding and my sisters wedding and both were one for the books all thanks to Loren and his skills and organization. Working with Loren made the wedding stress minimal and I had full faith and trust in him it would go off without a hitch. What a beautiful night under the stars!
If I could give Loren more than five stars, I would! We hired him way back in 2019, and he stuck it through with us through a postponement all the way until our April 2021 wedding. His DJ services were WELL worth the wait. We had a pretty small wedding (~60 people), but Loren made sure everyone was up and dancing the night away.
Loren is so personable, accommodating, and easy to work with. He was an amazing MC, and our reception flowed perfectly because of his attention to detail. Every single song he played was a banger. He also took my several in-the-moment bride requests like a champ. I HIGHLY recommend Loren to anyone looking for an upbeat yet classy wedding in the Columbus area - if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!

Loren is simply the best. He is fun, kind and will make your day what you want it to be. He was our DJ for our wedding in summer of 2020. It was such a difficult time for my husband and I planning wise due to Covid, but Loren was with us 110% of the way. He made everything so much easier, and less stressful. Communication was always open and he would do whatever we wanted and needed. We ended up changing locations and instead of backing out, Loren helped us with the planning when that change happened. He came out to our location (our backyard) and helped with the complete set up! It was perfect. Without Loren, our day would not have been what it was. It was really something out of a dream! Did I mention he kept the dance floor going the whole time? We even had a pretty picky, young crowd. I was sad to see end the night, but that meant that my dreams turned into reality. The only thing I wanted was everyone to enjoy themselves, and they did. My vision came to life with Loren's music and management! Oh yeah and we gave him our first dance song the day of!! I am sure he doesn't recommend being that last minute but he made it happen and never said a word about it ;) Thank you Loren for everything you did for us during our special day, and even the planning towards that day. Book him!!

Loren was our wedding DJ and he was everything we were looking for! He took the time to really get to know my fiancé and I, which resulted in him selecting the perfect songs to play. Loren was not only thoughtful but also professional, funny, and helped us schedule part of the ceremony and reception timelines. There was a particular build up/crescendo in the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to. Loren was able to make sure that exact crescendo played right when I turned the corner of the aisle for my groom to see me. SUCH a magical moment that still gets me teary-eyed thinking about it; all worth the help of Loren’s great DJ skills. I 100% recommended Loren and his company for your DJ needs.

We booked our wedding with Loren before COVID-19 hit and were so pleased to see how he helped us manage the changes we had to make. He did an amazing job beforehand making sure the planning process was as stress free as possible and also gave us great suggestions based off of what he had been experiencing at weddings. On the day of he did an amazing job of keeping everything going as planned and keeping all our guests having fun throughout the night! We got so many compliments from friends and family of the amazing job he did. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and couldn’t recommend using his services more!

Loren is the best in the business! He not only kept our dance floor full all night long, but thanks to him our guests still rave about our wedding! Loren is awesome! Our New Years Eve wedding celebration couldn’t have been better. Loren met with us several times prior to the event. He really took the time to get to know us and the vibe we were going for, which I believed made the evening all the more special.
The actual event was off the charts. Fantastic music, amazing lights, a TV screen at the DJ booth with a piped in Times Square Countdown, and a photo booth complete with print outs for guests to remember the night.
Loren kept the pace of the evening and we couldn’t have asked for a better event. Thanks, Loren!!

Loren killed it at our wedding! I appreciated the careful planning meetings where he got to know me and my husband-- what we like, and how we envisioned our evening-- then used that insight to help us select music for each part of our event. Loren knew our venue (Columbus Museum of Art) and had no problem setting up multiple DJ booths to accommodate our cocktail hour and reception in two different areas of the museum. There were some delays with catering that threw off the timeline of our reception, but Loren rolled with the punches, and did everything he could to keep things moving knowing the dance party was especially important to us. Our dance floor was rocking until the end of the night, and a year later our friends still rave about what an awesome party we had. Thank you, Loren!
