The space in this venue was larger than other venues we looked at. The cost was effective. The design and decor were well appointed and elegant. We are grateful that such a special day was enhanced by this venue. Great care and attention is obvious from the initial contact and tour through the last moments of the reception at the end. or the bridesmaids, to a pool table in the groomsmen's cabin, to soaking tubs in the lodge rooms, to a covered bridge on the property--if you can imagine it, Luna's Trail provides it. Daniel, the owner, is the kindest, most accommodating and gracious host, and he tries to make every wish come true. There are views of Pilot Mountain, Hanging Rock, and Sauratown Mountain from the venue; this beautiful place feels like the NC mountains, but is more centrally located (just 45 minutes from Winston Salem). All of our guests raved about this "hidden gem" of a place, and I think they were all planning a getaway there as soon as possible!

You can rent items and do everything catering wise through the venue or you are able to bring all your own items and use your own vendors which is amazing. Our closest friends and family were able to stay on the property with us all weekend which made it even more special. Our wedding weekend was one that we will cherish forever.

Rock in the background is beautiful, which is what initially drew us to this spot. However, what ultimately helped us decide so easily was two things: 1) If you want to get married outside, there is a rain plan at both venue locations, and 2) Daniel Wilson and his staff are so easy-going, kind, communicative, and they truly want you to have the day of your dreams. Just talking with Daniel once was enough for us to see how easy he would be to work with. We met with his right-hand woman, Christie, after that, and she was an absolute delight to work with! Everybody was professional but it still felt like you have known them for a long time. They were comfortable to work with and nice and calm throughout the whole experience. We liked Luna’s Trail before the wedding, but now we absolutely love it, and we can’t wait to return!

They made us feel so at ease and we could ask them any questions at any point. One of the absolute highlights of this venue is their catering. The food is AMAZING! They catered our rehearsal dinner and reception. That also took off some stress not having to coordinate another vendor and worry about delivery and keeping the food fresh. Our guests raved on and on about the food. The venue was everything we hoped for and more! Thank you Luna Trails for being a part of our perfect day. If you’re considering get married here, do it!

a nice ambiance, we were able to get there early and set up the night before and there was a large storage area for us to put our stuff in too. Their catering service is also extremely affordable and absolutely delicious. We got a ton of compliments on the food and the venue. Their website pictures just don't do it justice, so I recommend scouring their instagram to find a few pictures of weddings they have done at the lodge.

They were all very professional but also very kind and friendly which meant so much to us. The grounds were just beautiful that day. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Thanks to Stephen. I loved the way he checked on us during the reception to make sure everything was good. They all went well beyond what most venues would do to make certain this wedding was successful. The cabins and lodge rooms were a great addition to the event as well. Many of our guests stayed in the lodge rooms and our bridesmaids and groomsmen stayed in 2 of the cabins. So nice to have friends and family right there on the property with us. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. What a great experience with such nice and accommodating people plus such a beautiful venue. I could not have asked for anything more for my daughter’s special day.

e perfect indoor or outdoor wedding. The Food was spectacular, only surpassed by the service!!! It was in a great location, surrounded by trees and streams, with rolling hills as a backdrop. The venue inside was just as beautiful, honoring it's woodsy, rocky surroundings. It was a dream venue. Daniel the owner/manager, is amazing and was so helpful the entire way through and he was always very quick to respond to our questions/needs. Luna's Trail also has great lodging with three very nice cabins and nine lodge rooms, our wedding party rented all of them, each one just as nice as the other. It truly met all of our hopes, dreams, and then some.

t giving up all hope and settling I came across lunas trail. Instantly fell in love, the owner helps every step of the way and answers and every little question you may have. We made a long weekend out of our wedding at Big Creek Lodge, there was breakfast, lunch and dinner served right downstairs, staff was very friendly and always around (but in a good way) just enough to answer questions and help, but never in the way! There’s two separate venues on the property, we were able to get married in one and have the rehearsal dinner in the other. They also have three cabins and nine lodge rooms on the property, which was an amazing bonus, we rented them all and it gave ample room to help accommodate immediate family and the bridal party. We got crazy amounts of praise from the guests on how beautiful the venue was and we loved not having to flip a space. Overall an amazing experience, stress free (and that’s coming from a bride with NO wedding planner). We would highly recommend and if all that isn’t enough to convince you they even reached out afterwards to ensure we were happy and to give a small gift!! We loved it and will always remember our special day!!!

We also rented all three cabins on the property which was so convenient for out of town family and the bridal party, and booked most of the rooms at the new lodge on the property for guests to stay in. The property is incredibly beautiful and well maintained, with views of both Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain. We booked the venue a year & a half before the wedding, and we had a consistent line of communication with Daniel throughout the whole process. He and his staff are incredibly kind and considerate, and the food is AMAZING! I am so thankful we found this venue, and my day was absolutely perfect. The fall scenery made for the most beautiful pictures.

knew after touring Luna's Trail that it was exactly what we wanted and Daniel's team would make our visions a reality. From the first email we sent inquiring to tour to now a week after our wedding, Daniel and his team have been so easy to communicate with, incredibly accommodating, pleasant to chat with, patient with our numerous questions, and always available. We booked the venue over a year before our wedding, so we got to see the venue multiple times during our initial tour, a visit, and our tasting. We stayed in a lodge room the summer before our wedding to really get a chance to enjoy the restuarant, the people, the views, and all the area had to offer. As a guest, we couldn't be happier with how relaxing our stay was. It also got us so excited about getting married there! We really felt like we picked the perfect place after staying for a night. If you have the time, I highly recommend staying in a lodge room before your wedding. What I love most about this venue aside from the amazing people is how little needs to be done for it to be beautiful. The mountain views are a showstopper. I am still impressed at how Daniel and his team seem to make it all run so beautifully and effortlessly. Our specific wedding weekend had 2 weddings on-site - our ceremony at the Hanging Rock cabin/reception at the Lodge and another at the Venue location. We could never tell there was another wedding going on and they had ample signage for guests. I had a direct line of communication with Daniel when we arrived and he even took the time to give me a call on the morning of our wedding to check in and go over some final details. The Big Creek Lodge restuarant on site made our rehearsal dinner and reception catering seamless. We even got platters from the restuarant delivered to the cabins we stayed in on-site the morning of our wedding, which was wonderful to have one less thing to worry about while getting ready. My family still raves about the food. Myself, my now husband, and our family and friends stayed in the lodge rooms and cabins on-site, and I loved having a lot of the people we love so close together all weekend. We had people coming in on several different days, but Daniel and his wife and their team made the check-in process for everyone simple and easy (I highly recommend making a spreadsheet to track who's staying where if you go this route, it was so helpful!). I can't say enough good things about this place and these people. If you're unsure, reach out to set up a tour and you'll be happy you did. 0 acres, three venue buildings, 9 hotel rooms and 3 beautiful cabins! Everything needed is on one property for a wonderful wedding weekend. No needs for "flips" or concerns about weather at this venue. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces. We had both of our daughter's weddings here. In 2020 my daughter's wedding was in the Big Creek Lodge. I love this space! Beautiful views of mountains (Pilot/Hanging Rock) from the four rooms- ceremony, reception, bar and restaurant. The covered patio, bar and restaurant are all great options for the cocktail hour. They provided an arbor if wanted. The service and food were excellent. Our second daughter's wedding was 12/21 in the new ceremony space overlooking the lake. This space is stunning! The reception space (The Venue) is a few yards away with a beautiful cocktail room with cornered fireplace, separate bar area and outdoor patio with café lights with beautiful views. The attached reception space was lovely at night. I was afraid it was too dark however I actually loved this space when all decorated. The food was excellent! At both of our weddings the guest commented on how beautiful the venue was and complimented the food. The owners, Daniel and Ann are wonderful to work with. They care more about their brides than their pocketbooks! They go over and beyond to make sure your daughter's wedding day is all that she has dreamed of! After my first daughter's wedding my other daughter initially wanted her wedding at a different venue than her sisters. I made a spreadsheet of 70 venues! And none could provide, especially for the price, what Luna does. My daughter is so glad she choose Luna. It was a perfect weekend. From the check in to our beautiful accommodations, reception dinner, wedding day and Sunday brunch it was all wonderful! Just wish I had another daughter so we could do it again at Luna! Stop looking and start booking.
