My friends and family are a dancing crowd while my husband's family is not, but none of that mattered with Trev. He took the playlist I created and masterfully curated a dancing experience that all of our guests loved. The non-dancers found themselves on the dance floor, while the dancers couldn't catch their breath because every song was a hit. Trev played a mix of everything we liked and read the crowd's energy perfectly. The one moment we were able to tear ourselves off the dance floor for a drink, my friend said there was a "generational run" of banger after banger. Thank you Gemma and Trev!

nnouncements we asked for but not editorializing the whole event (which was exactly what we wanted!!). The photobooth was incredible (I didn't even know they would provide props but they did and the guests loved them!), they let us send in our own logo for the print-outs, and we got to keep one of each picture for our guest book!! They also came in clutch at sort of the last minute (within the last month of planning) with a microphone for the ceremony outside since I had forgotten all about it. Honestly, we loved everything about working with Luv'd Up DJs and would pick them again and again!

no pressure I knew immediately she was the one for our big day. Her communication throughout the wedding planning process was flawless and she helped me create a seamless timeline that ended up being executed perfectly for the day. She kept the dance floor filled all night and the amount of compliments I received regarding not only her song choices but her ENERGY was overwhelming- I don’t think she stopped dancing once! I would highly recommend Gemma for any wedding!! 

nd we scheduled a call soon after that. They have worked at the venue before, which was a big plus for us because there is an extremely short set up time (like <45 min), due to when it closes to the public. Her sister Morgan was the one who took over the majority of the communication after our contract was signed, and she was so responsive and helpful passing along our edit requests (they will create custom edits for you with unlimited edits [we had them do four songs for us]) and answering our questions. They have an easy to use google doc that has a timeline built in and sections for family names, favorite artists, etc. We had a pre-wedding call with DJ Amber (who we had for our reception), and she was super attentive and made some last minute edits to our entrance song afterwards. We had DJ Cathy for our ceremony; she and Amber stuck exactly to our playlist and had perfect timing for everything. We had very specific songs we wanted, but they also can curate a playlist that fits your vibe if you’d rather that (or a hybrid). One of the most memorable part of our wedding was walking into our venue before everyone else was let in to take a few pictures privately, and while we were walking in, Amber played Bad Bunny for us because we told her how much we liked him in passing. New core memory unlocked! Finally, we wanted the dance floor packed all night, and we got exactly that with the way Amber ordered all the songs (turning the latter half of the set into our desired emo night); she never let the dance floor die, and countless guests told us it was the most they have danced at any wedding by far! You’re in great hands if you hire Luv’dUp!

going with them as our vendor. Shortly after they had sent us a spreadsheet to fill out that which helped guide us into planning and thinking about the music for the event in an organized manner. We had a phone call or two with Gemma and then were assigned Amber as our DJ. We had our first conversation with Amber around 1 month from the date and my wife and I felt that she understood what we were going for. She seems like a great person, but unfortunately she ended up sick shortly before the wedding and we had to change DJs. Kelton had then been assigned to us. We learned that Gemma and him are married and that made us feel at ease because we felt he would have the experience to be able to jump in with short notice. We did speak with him and he was very prepared. Him and Amber had talked about the event and after speaking with him we knew he would do a great job When the day came Kelton did an excellent job. We had some slightly tricky timing things during the ceremony and he knocked it out of the park. The music and energy was perfect and we loved his energy. He was very prepared and very friendly. We really enjoyed our wedding and Kelton did a great job of facilitating a fun atmosphere for us. Thank you Kelton!

was so wonderful to find a DJ company that was willing to take on this challenge. Every more than that, one who was willing to specifically fly one of the DJs cross country just so we could have someone who knew all the bands we love, like Sisters of Mercy and She Wants Revenge. We didn't have to explain anything about the music vibe, and Amber really turned the party! Dancing was the most important part of the day for us. Gemma made it really easy to plan, and Amber helped make our dance floor the hottest goth club in the area that night. 10/10 would recommend.

During our reception, the dance floor was PACKED all night! All of our guests had a great time and many have commented on how great the music was -- all thanks to Ty :)

ding the time of calls leading up to our date. Our guests had such a blast dancing the night away!  Amber arrived on time and was set up in our 3 locations for seamless transitions. She played the versions we wanted and had great timing for our ceremony. We couldn't really hear the music during cocktail hour but that was okay as it didn't overpower any of our conversations. She played the must play songs we asked for and most importantly never overstepped or over communicated over the mic ! I wish I could give 4.5 stars because truly it was great, there were just some things that were less than truly "perfect." We had multiple calls with Gemma, but then had to go over everything again with Amber a couple of weeks before the wedding. She didn't reach out to the venue in advance for questions about logistics on the property and was asking me, the bride, for logistics about the space which were not really something I could be answering and she definitely could have taken more responsibility for contacting the venue directly. I was told on my booking that the DJ had been to our venue before and would have no problem with the set up of everything and I had nothing to worry about, but Amber never had so that felt slightly like a bait and switch for that piece of things because I had to spend about an hour explaining the venue, emailing over links for the venue, contact information for the venue, schematics/ blueprints of the space etc. We also worked really hard on our music choices but definitely were slower than we maybe should have been. We updated the spreadsheet with links to songs on Apple Music, but was told on our call that DJ amber didn't have Apple, only Spotify. We don't have Spotify, but she repeatedly asked for us to send the links on spotify instead, which was frustrating. We ended up working it out and she played exactly what we wanted - it just took some time to get on the same page. We also put down links for all of our playlists but something went wrong for the music during dinner. the night before the wedding, at 5pm when we were attending our rehearsal dinner, Amber texted me asking for a link for any music we wanted played during dinner. literally the night before the wedding she was asking for it which felt really stressful.  Overall she did a really good job and we do not regret at all working with the Luv'd Up team but it just wasn't a "perfect" experience- and that is okay! We are all human and things go "wrong" but overall they absolutely added so much to our day and helped keep things on schedule. I fully recommend them for couples in the area as our guests were dancing the entire reception and had an absolute blast! She really nailed the timing of all of the transitions and was friendly and kind on the day!

However, that never showed in our interactions with them; they were always excited, pleasant, and wonderful to work with. The day of the wedding was completely seamless. The setup happened without us even realizing it—they were entirely self-managed and executed everything perfectly, which left us free to just enjoy the day. DJ Karl was much more than just a DJ; he was the heartbeat of our reception. He managed the flow of the evening with total ease, working with our Guest MC ensuring professionalism, yet full of personality. He was incredibly attentive to our needs, checking in just enough to make sure we were happy without ever being intrusive. He handled our requests (and our guests' requests) with a smile, ensuring the music felt like a perfect reflection of us. From the organized planning with Gemma and Kelton to the final song of the night with Karl, the team was professional, talented, and a joy to be around. We can’t recommend them enough!

vibes and music/genres were very unique for each event, but Gemma and the DJs we had for each event knocked it out of the park, far exceeding our expectations (shoutout to Ty, Kelton, and Kevin!). We appreciated how much care and thought was given during the discovery and planning part of the process. Gemma and the DJs took the time to understand our vision and fill in their expertise to whatever degree we wanted, without ever being pushy. This was important to us because for certain events we had a clear and specific vision (pretty much “play this playlist”) and for others we only had a high-level vision of the music/genres. We have to give a special nod to DJ Ty, who was the DJ through the main wedding reception (first dances, speeches, dance party): Ty went above and beyond in all ways. Beyond a superhuman sense of music and DJ’ing, he was humble, helpful, and keenly aware. He anticipated and proactively helped multiple members of the wedding party throughout the evening, and always focused on making it our best day, never drawing unnecessary attention to himself. Ty, if you’re reading this, you’re awesome. But seriously, everybody was amazing. Gemma, Ty, Kelton, and Kevin, thank you for everything! 10 stars.

Kelton was all over the dance floor and really got into it without making anyone feel like there was always a flash or camera in their face. They all truly listened to what we were looking for in our vendors and delivered 100%! Our guest could not stop talking about the quality of each one of them, but also just how lovely of human beings they were!! 10/10 would recommend!

She is highly organized and helped us organize our own thoughts and dreams for the wedding music by providing a very detailed google sheet that we used as a reference for months. She recommended our last dance song, and it ended up being one of my favorite memories of the weekend. She called us to go over the timeline. She gave us guidance when we needed it. And she collaborated so well with our other vendors. Several people told my family members that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to, and I really do think that Gemma played a huge role in those glowing reviews. The music was SO GOOD and exactly what we wanted to keep our guests on the dance floor for 3 hours straight. Oh, and I forgot to mention she was filming on super 8 throughout the day. What CAN'T she do? Gemma, we will see you at our vow renewal parties for decades to come.

It’s also important to note that she was just as awesome throughout the planning process! We are indecisive people who have attended very few weddings, and she helped us through every decision. I cannot say enough how much better she helped us feel!! We were on the fence about having a DJ for such a small wedding and she was perfect. She fit right in with our guests and curated the perfect vibe. She managed the sound for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (three separate locations!) and it was all perfect. I would make Gemma my emergency contact if I could. You will NOT regret booking Luv’d Up for your event!!

to see what I was looking for - the vibe, my dealbreakers - and we just talked so easily. Not only does she offer DJ services, but I was able to add a full photography package as well. That was perfect for my needs as I wanted a team that vibed and knew how to coordinate well together. She and the team were incredibly supportive throughout the process and we had several calls leading up to the wedding to cover details so I felt very confident they had the whole program under control. We added a private vow ceremony and that adjustment was no trouble for the team - it was my favorite part of the entire day so I am so glad we added it. On the day of the wedding Gemma, Kelton, and Hannah all showed up with such great spirit and we felt so relaxed with them. It was a delight to work with them and the photos absolutely show it! I enjoyed every moment and it was thanks to their hard work that the day went so smoothly!

Gemma and her lovely husband Kelton did both music for the whole day, light MC-ing, and they also did video with all these very cool vintage cameras (so excited to see how it turned out, such a cool option and so special!). We couldn't recommend them more highly!!! A few things I want to specifically highlight: From our first conversation with Gemma, my now-husband and I felt like we were chatting with an old friend. She and her team have a super helpful spreadsheet with everything you need to start sketching out your musical dreams for your wedding - and if you aren't music die hards like us, she also has a lovely, huge compendium of wedding classics to browse through to give you inspiration. It was so fun just chatting with her and getting to know her, it didn't really feel like wedding planning, just great vibes <3 Second, Kelton and Gemma were sooooo seamless and efficient at MC'ing and managing the audio for our ceremony. The mic set up they use is excellent, and they aren't ostentatious or over the top like you see with some wedding DJs. They were also very accommodating of our friends who played our entrance music live for the ceremony, making it super easy for them to set up and perform and then head to their seats. They just do exactly what's needed to keep everything floating around on a cloud of happiness and love all day and into the night! I was so impressed by them, truly!!!! It's no surprise that so many of our other vendors know Genna and Kelton and Luvdup already - they are beloved by both their clients AND their peers in the industry for good reason. And of course, the MUSIC and DANCING!!! Gemma is so warm, so effervescent and so GOOD at DJ'ing!!!! The weather was against us for our hot and sweaty little dance floor, so we and our guests had to take several breaks just to cool down, but despite all that she was able to keep the party going all night long, and truly will only play the songs YOU want to hear. We had an Indian/American fusion wedding, and Gemma seamlessly switched between Bollywood classics, old school hits like MISS Tina Turner and all our new faves. At one point she also gave me a giant red fan (?!) to cool down with and attempt to slay (I tried lol), and the subsequent photos are hilarious and amazing! The euphoria we achieved on that dance floor was so special - it was truly a massive swell of joy and love together with so many of our favorite people, and we have Luvdup DJs to thank for facilitating those big, beautiful feelings that we'll treasure for the rest of our lives. THANK YOU GEMMA AND KELTON AND LUVDUP! You are just wonderful, and any couple would be lucky to work with you!!!!! Hope to find a way to dance to your killer sets some other way some time soon (feels like it would be really gauche to wedding crash just so we can have another Gemma dance party, but that's just how good she is, people!!). When we signed the contract, Kelton was confirmed as our DJ, and we felt excited! About a month before the wedding, we had a productive phone call with him to discuss our timeline and details, which left us feeling confident. However, just 11 days before the wedding, I received an email introducing us to a different DJ, Steven. I was confused and reached out for clarification since Kelton was listed on our contract. I was informed that DJs could be swapped out, except for Gemma, and that there was nothing they could do. This was frustrating, especially since Gemma had insisted on us booking Kelton. Every response on this issue took a full business day and given the short time frame, I would have appreciated receiving more priority. While Gemma offered free lighting as compensation, it didn’t fully address the issue. On the wedding night, the DJ did a good job, but I’m not sure it was worth the premium we paid. There were little frustrations, like our cocktail and dinner Spotify playlists being played in order on repeat. I could have added more songs, but I would have appreciated a heads-up if they needed more options. Despite that, the dancing was fun, and my guests enjoyed themselves! A few of our must-play songs were missed, but I was having such a good time that it didn’t matter. Our DJ did a great job taking requests, which kept the dance floor lively. Overall, while we had a good time, the experience was marred by communication issues and last-minute changes. I wish things had gone more smoothly, and I can't fully recommend this service based on our experience.

I'm still so honored that Gemma went so above and beyond for us-- not only did she DJ but she also was there earlier in the day to do our wedding film on Super8!
